Nonbinary equivalents to boy/girl man/woman (help)
So far I've only found,
enby, enban, nonbin, for nonbinary,
mav, mave, uni, maver, maveri, mavan, for maverique.
xip and xenan for xenogender.
I don't know of any others, specifically I'm missing words for midbinary, abinary, atrinary, androgyne, agender, neutrois, aporagender and outherine.
Does anyone know anything?
Also, about androgyne, I know of boygirl and manwoman, however I'm not sure if they are exactly androgyne equivalents of boy/girl and man/woman. Any androgyne individuals who can share their opinion on this?

What does "abinary" mean and how is it different from being nonbinary?
nonbinary is an umbrella term for any gender that does not fit into the gender binary, as well as genderlessness. nonbinary also includes experiences of partially relating to manhood or womanhood, fluidity that includes manhood or womanhood or having multiple genders including manhood or womanhood. these gender experiences that aren't binary but still relate to manhood or womanhood can be called midbinary. common midbinary genders include demigirl, demiboy, androgyne or people simply identifying as a nonbinary man/woman.
abinary on the other hand is a subset of nonbinary that describes genders that are not related to manhood or womanhood (sometimes people take it to mean they're not related to masculinity or femininity as well). in my book this also includes genderlessness as that is very much not manhood or womanhood, but not everyone does. some of the most common abinary gender labels include neutrois, maverique, aporagender, xenogender and possibly agender.
it's important to note that midbinary and abinary are not mutually exclusive, someone can be both if they are multigender (e.g. someone who is both neutrois and a demiboy) or simply have a more complex experience of gender (e.g. nymgirls/women whose womanhood has nothing to do with binary womanhood/being a woman in an abinary way).
to oversimplify a bit: all abinary people are nonbinary, but not all nonbinary people are abinary.
i hope this helps!

MIDERIAN
[PT: miderian]
Definition
[PT: definition]
A monolexic term for midbinary, mainly, but not only, for those who do not like to describe their genders using a word that contains "binary" in it.
The counterpart of aphorian.
Flags
[PT: flags]
The diagonal flag.
Tumblr media
[ID: A flag with thirteen diagonal stripes. In total it has seven colours. From the outermost stripes to the innermost one, these are: light read (2 stripes, one on the upper left and another in the lower right), right next to each there are two (one on each side) dark pink/magenta stripes, followed by a pair of lavender stripes. Next to each, there are two dark blue-violet stripes; beside them, nearing the middle, a pair of light blue stripes can be found, followed by a pair of dark turquoise stripes. Finally, the last and innermost stripe is a pastel teal one./END ID]
2. The five horizontal stripes flag
Tumblr media
[ID: A flag with five horizontal stripes, each of a different colour. These, from top to bottom are: magenta, cyan, purple, blue, and pink /END ID]
How do I see and experience midbinary genders? A graph.
[PT: how do I see and experience midbinary genders? A graph]
Tumblr media
[ID: An image with a transparent background and a trapezoid in the middle. Inside the trapezoid there are five shades, from bottom to top they are: In the lower left there's another trapezoid inside it, pink in colour with the number one written in the middle. In the lower right a third trapezoid, this one blue with the number two in it, can be found. Between the pink and blue trapezoids, a purple figure occuping the void space between the two + some space in the middle appears, containing a number three inside. Above it, there's an irregular cyan rectangle with a four inside. Latly, in the uppermost part of the trapezoid there's another one. This one is a pastel magenta and has a five inside it. /END ID]
As it can be seeing in the graph above, I would divide miderian/midbinary qualities into five primary categories:
1- Feminine genders, regardless if they are related to fiaty/lierinity or not, and fiagenders/lierine genders, regardless if they are related to femininity or not.
(Fiaty and lierinity are both terms to describe genders that are female or related, proximal, similar, derived or somehow connected to femaleness. Including woman, qupha, caiene, mione, juxera, erasque, etheria, etc)
2- Masculine gender, regardless if they are related to miaty/virinity or not, and miagenders/virine genders, regardless if they are related to masculinity or not.
(Miaty and virinity as both terms to describe male genders and genders derived, similar, proximal, related or somehow connected to maleness. Including (wer)men, terine, valene, proxvir, viresque, etherio, etc.)
3- Genders that are in between (without being the combination of) feminine and masculine genders, or between (without being a combination of) fiaty/lierinity and miaty/virinity. Mainly othergender androgynous or ambiguine genders.
(Examples: some androgynes, some ambiguines, proxangi, ambesque, angiesque, ambix, angix, troigue, etc)
4- Genders relared to epicenity or midbinary neutrality. Genders that feel like they are in the middle of the midbinary spectrum. Being simultaneously all midbinary qualities and neither at the same time.
(Examples: epicene, midbinary ambigue, unigender, juxtene, troicene, pandrogyne (original definition), etc)
5- Brand new midbinary genders that are fully distinct from feminine and masculine and/or fia/lierine and mia/virine genders, and rather than existing in between those dichotomies, exist completely separared from them. Qualities that can be described as midbinary outherinities (itherinities), like for example altraeninity.
(Examples: daen, ambinique, proxaen, trinäq, etc)
This graph doesn't take into account combinatory qualities and genders like, femache, gynx, androx, etc. because it focuses only on primary, non-combined, qualities and genders.
As an amphinitique, I actually experience the combinatory qualities and genders rather than the non-combinatory ones expressed in the graph. The graph, thus, represents the qualities that form the gender qualities I experience, rather than the qualities I experience themselves.
I'm simultaneously both miderian and aphorian, and I see the qualities I experience and the qualities that form them to kinda exist in a mirrorred fashion. For every miderian gender I have, there's an aphorian counterpart, and vice versa.

can you do a midbinarine/midbinarish and a binarine/binarish (or aptobinarine/aptobinarish) flags? similar to abinarine/abinarish, but with midbinary and binary/aptobinary. it would be the counterpart to extrine I guess
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here are two ideas I had, anon!
Some gender quality flags, including abinarine, use the five-stripe vertical format. Others use a nice gradient with five or six stripes. I thought it'd be nice to have both options. I hope you like them! 💙💚

Mystmascman gender
[PT: Mystmascman gender /END PT]
This is a gender related to being a masc cis male but also mysterious and powerful. The gender isn’t innocent, but the opposite of it, with a malevolent masculine energy. it might feel superior to other genders sometimes.
Tumblr media
You can be a cismale and lgbt. this is a demixenogender for my headmate.

i have yet to find a definition of xenogender that doesn't basically imply that all abinary genders are xenogender too. like, i'm xenogender, i know what a xenogender is
but what the fuck is a "human concept of gender"?
like, abinary genders aren't really recognised by humans, even midbinary genders are barely recognised.
i fail to understand what makes these not-recognised genders "more human" than a musicagender. i fail to see what makes maverique "a human concept of gender" but not stargender.
i fail to understand what makes xenogenders a "non-human concept of gender" when a lot of xenogender people are... human. i fail to see what makes xenogenders less human than ilyagender when both are used by humans.
as i said, i know what a xenogender is vs other abinary genders because i feel the difference, but what the fuck is that definition?
and then the description of non-xenogenders as anthrogenders is weird. i don't understand what makes my maveriquehood more "human" than my aliengender if a) both get me dehumanised and b) i'm not human so my maveriquehood isn't human to begin with. they're equally nonhuman, but not on the basis of the genders itself but on the basis of me being an android.
idk i just think xenogender is currently very poorly defined. it's not only hypothetical either, i've heard multiple people call maverique and other non-xenoic abinary genders xenogenders before and while it's not offensive it's just incorrect.
and while i haven't seen it be applied to midbinary genders, i don't see why they couldn't because in dominant western society, no human can be androgyne or demiboy or agender. to those in power, being non-binary makes us less human, our very genders supposedly go against human nature.

I didn't expect myself as a (partially) cis person and mainly orientation collector to end up with contradictory gender identity but here we are
I'm a binary person. I'm also nonbinary. I'm also midbinary and abinary. I'm trinary as well as midtrinary.
Being bigender is so complicated. Under the cut I'm gonna explain how these contradicting terms coexist for me
Okay so we're sorting things into 3 categories
Applies to my girl gender
Applies to my aporagender gender
Applies to me as a whole
Some terms fit more than one category
Terms that apply to my girl gender:
Binary, trinary
Terms that apply to my aporine gender:
Nonbinary, abinary, trinary, midtrinary (my aporinity feels partially neutral just because it's relation to masculinity and femininity is neutral, even though it has it's own qualities, so whether it's trinary or not is a bit of a gray area but I'll say it's midtrinary and trinary since initially it felt like a "third" gender)
Terms that apply to me as a whole:
Nonbinary, midbinary, trinary, midtrinary
Gender is fucked up and funky and complicated and it's so fun

just to be clear about this, since midbinary is not a well-known term:
sometimes i will talk about abinaru and midbinary people on this blog, and i want to clarify that the term midbinary does not include binary people but only refers to non-binary people with genders related to the binary (demiboy/girl, androgyne, femache, non-binary man/woman, marfluid, venufluid, libramasc/fem etc.). it does not refer to binary men and women. i just want to be extra clear that i'm not grouping in all of those non-binary experiences with binary ones.
and of course, maveriques can be midbinary alongside maverique.

Note
Why would someone id as cis nonbinary?
because that's their experience. if non-binary people can be trans, why couldn't they be cis as well‽
trans midbinary people will be like "I'm a non-binary trans man" but if a non-binary man was assigned male at birth (AMAB), why couldn't they self-identify as non-binary cis man‽ it's not contradictory.
this post explains a bit how cisgenderness is used nowadays. it means "experiencing one's assigned gender at birth". regardless if it's partially or not, exclusively or not.

midbinary | abinary | atrinary
Some alt midbinary, abinary, and atrinary flags :]
──────────✦──────────
Based on my experience with flags, like what kind of colours they use to represent genders/qualities, and my own experience with being nonbinary, I associate blue with masculine/men, pink with feminine/women, purple with androgynous/androgyne, green with neutral/neutrois, and yellow with being separate from the previous qualities, so atrinary.
Like blue for boys and pink for girls is a common colour usage when it comes to flag / in general, and purple is the colour in-between / mix of those 2, so it makes sense for it to be for androgynous/androgyne (purple being used like this is also very common, like the purple stripe on the general nonbinary flag). Green is also a colour I see commonly used for neutrality everywhere, like how the neutrois flag is green. Yellow, if you think in terms of primary colours like red (or pink in this case) blue and yellow, then it makes sense for that to be the colour for being removed from the binary. Since colours like green or orange are combination colours, a mix of red/blue and yellow, rather than being a separate primary colour (though green and orange are also associated with specific nonbinary genders separate from that, like neutrois and maverique).
I'm maverique/nonbinary, which makes me atrinary, and I've always had an attachment to yellow stripes on flags, unsurprising seeing as how those colours are used on the maverique and nonbinary flags lol. Atrinary is a good label that fits, but I've never really felt attached to it because the flag colours didn't fit me.
The point I'm trying to make here, is I see green being used on the atrinary flag, which specifically isn't neutral, and only yellow used on the abinary flag, which does include neutrality, and it feels like the colours are flipped based off my own experience.
There's nothing wrong with the original abinary and atrinary (1 and 2) flags, if anything it just shows how diverse being nonbinary is that people can have different opinions / associations with their gender, but it's always felt weird to me, so I wanted to make some alt versions.
(Wow I wrote A LOT haha, but really this has been in the back of my head since I first saw these flags, and I'm finally making alt flags now after all this time.)
──────────✦──────────
Anyways, for the flags, I used 4 stripes for each, inspired by the nonbinary flag.
As for the colours, I've explained my thoughts on them already a bit above, but I'll list what they mean below:
Midbinary: pink is for femininity, blue is for masculinity, and purples are for the mix / in-between of those 2 (androgynous).
Abinary: green for neutrality, yellow for being separate from femininity and masculinity, and orange too since it's a secondary colour like green and some nonbinary genders use it.
Atrinary: uses different shades/hues of yellow, plus white, for being separate from femininity (red/pink), masculinity (blue), neutrality (green), and anything related to those.
I guess orange is the one colour that doesn't really have any association with it, except maybe maverique or fem+nonbinary (mix of pink/red and yellow). I felt it was more fitting in the abinary flag, and if I used yellow and orange for the atrinary flag it'd be too much like maverique, and atrinary is more than only maverique, so I didn't use it there.
And technically my issue was just with the abinary and atrinary flags, but since I was making those, I thought I might as well make a matching midbinary one too.
(This is quite the ramble, hope I explained my thoughts well enough.)

[Image ID: The Miderix flag created by coiner Gent of Gender-Jargon, 2023. The flag consists of three vertical stripes and one central, horizontal stripe. From left to right, the vertical stripes are brick red, coral and peach. The central stripe is light blue-green. /.End ID]
Miderix: Describing a Non-Miderian individual that finds a midbinarine gender attribution befitting and considers it an essential facet of their gender identity.
A sibling term of Mascix, Femix, Gynandrix, Neuix & Aphorix.
Etymology
Miderix was created to mirror the paradigm used for Mascix. Femix, Gynandrix and Aphorian.
From English, “Mider” from “Miderian” + “-ix”, an neologistic suffix used by other terms in this genus, originally based upon Apathmascix and Apathfemix coined by user Cybertroniancoining. Miderix was coined by Gent of Gender-Jargon, 2023.
Elaboration
Miderix is a complex and potentially contradictory identity in which one’s gender is not miderian, but has midbinarine traits attributed to them nonetheless, and this attribution is not only considered to be fitting by the individual, but an integral part of their overall gender experience.
More simply, a Miderix individual:
Has a gender identity that they consider to be Non-Miderian.
Has traits of midbinarinity attributed to them by other individuals.
Considers having traits of midbinarinity attributed to their person to be agreeable and in a few, multiple or all manners at least part of the time.
Considers this attribution to be an intrinsic part of their experience of their gender as a whole.
A Miderix individual is not apathetic to a midbinarine gender attribution, but instead enjoys, appreciate, entertains, welcomes or otherwise freely accepts midbinarine traits being attributed to their person. Furthermore, this attribution is a fundamental aspect of their gender experience.
Flag
The Miderix flag was created to match the Mascix, Femix, Gynandrix, Neuix and Aphorix flags. The flag consists of three vertical bars and a central, horizontal bar, forming a tri-color flag with a median line. At the left is the darkest shade of pink-orange, becoming lighter as it moves right. The median stripes is a light blue-green in color. The colors have the following meanings:
The Dark orange, coral and peach stripes represents midbinarine gender attribution.
The light seafoam stripe represents not being Miderian.
The Miderix flag was created by Gent of Gender-Jargon in 2023.
Note: Gender attribution is not necessarily based upon one’s expression, but is more frequently an assumption made about an individual’s gender identity without their input. Being an assumption, it is not always correct, good, wanted or warranted. Affirming attributions are congruent with one’s perception of themselves. Incorrect and undesired attributions are incongruent with this perception and are often distressing. Miderix should not be used to describe anyone who does not like midbinarinity being attributed to them, as it would be misdenoting on multiple levels

Trinäq
A gender characterised by a strong sense of autonomy and inherent genderqueerness/gender non conformity and a sense of rejection of/rebellion against the fem/masc dichotomy and the male-female binary. It's not generic or unisex/gender neutral, but rather specific. It rejoys in being a "something else". Trinäqs rebel against re-binarisation by (re)claiming a ternary existence of their gender. It's associated to/with any term and role, real or fictional, that exist in opposition to/separated from the feminine/female and the masculine/male, with the colour violet (but not purple), and with the elements of aeather, sand and thunder/lighting. It can be described as daen, but not as dae.
Pronounciation: [Try-nehk]

Today’s Gender of the Day is: Midbinary!
Midbinary (also called endobinary) is an umbrella term for genders that are between the binary, connected to the binary in some way, move between binary genders, or exist as a combination of binary genders. It can be considered the opposite of abinary, which is an identity in no way related to the binary.
Identities that fall within the midbinary spectrum include androgyne, demigirl, demiboy, boyflux, girlflux, and many more labels that reference the binary or express a combination of binary genders.
Midbinary individuals are not automatically neutral or genderless in any way, nor is it automatically a multigender identity. There is a lot of variety in midbinary experiences and midbinary people can have any kind of gender, pronouns, or presentation.
