Robins appear in greater numbers now.
They are some of the most common arrivals, but a joy to see; as springtime is surely just around the corner.

Starlings are appearing in greater numbers every day.
Here, a starling is just coming into mating plumage, which looks a bit like a rainbow on an oil slick.
Though, the spotted black-and-white plumage never totally goes away, as can be seen once he flies away.

sometimes when going for a certain direction with the things I post, some of my photos end up getting cropped to create a broad sense of cohesiveness throughout. most of my shit is therefore never seen in full but this here is probably one of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken since starting this silly ass fucking blog man. pride is shameful and whatnot but I’m pretty fucking proud of this one. I wanted you guys to really take this shit IN, in all its fucking glory. it’s about a 30 minute drive from where I live at some catholic cathedral. I froze my ass off in the cold snow that seemed never ending while trying to get a good shot, hoping my cigarette would provide me with a little bit of fucking warmth. some little kids were out playing believe it or not and ran over to see what I was doing before proceeding to bully the fuck out of me. the smallest one looked at me and yelled “get your ass out of here” and I laughed because i saw a lot of myself in that little bastard. I took my shots and for the first time in a really long ass time, took a moment to pray. I still pray in spanish like my momma taught me. I prayed for clarity, and I prayed for insight. I prayed for the desecration of our small planet to be paid more attention to. I prayed for my loved ones and before making the holy cross to end my prayers like I’ve done since mom taught me as a toddler, I prayed for revenge. Sweet sweet fucking revenge man. I prayed that every motherfucker that never thought I was good enough, realizes one day how fucking wrong they were.
