Elsbeth (1.09) Reactions:
Spoilers beneath the cut!
OH, Arian is the guy who plays Stewy on Succession… haven’t watched Succ yet, but fun!
Ivy and Joe’s bond would be sweet if he wasn’t about to be the next celebrity culprit fjekfjsj
Elsbeth: “It’s kind of eery, isn’t it? She looks so peaceful.” / Kaya: “Dead people usually do.”
oooh, he killed the wrong person. fun twist.
“You doing an interpretive dance or do you have a theory?” Gdjsjsjs, I love how deadpan Kaya is.
“You know, I think I can see someone wanting to kill that woman.” GJDJFJDJD.
“If I wanted to be duplicitous and obstruct justice, I would have stayed a lawyer.” the one liners are so fucking funny tonight. My god
Elsbeth trying to communicate with Wagner via paint swabs, lmao.
Joe’s bar looks so goddamn cool. I would happily have an overpriced drink in there.
Both Elsbeth and Kaya holding the phone, their hands brushing. 🥺 (shut up. I’ll take what crumbs I can get.)
half of these write ups just end up being me salivating over Elsbeth’s wardrobe, but anyway, that red coat 😍
Super enjoying the pacing of this ep’s investigation. feels organic.
whoa, I didn’t know that about bartender rings!!!
Arian/Joe is so charming.
I love watching Elsbeth figure stuff out—like walking on the wet floor and taking a print. It scratches a lovely puzzle solving itch.
Claudia is a great supporting character. Really appreciate how her presence allows us to see Wagner in a more complex light. For him, the bottom line is protecting her.
New Kaya tidbit! She apparently dated a bartender before… who turned out to be a psycho.
LOLOL, elsbeth spitting out the drink the young bartender made.
“Frothy, colorful, but complicated.” yeah, that’s elsbeth.
This moment between Elsbeth and Joe is so real and so good, and it’s another fine example of one of my favorite recurring elements of the show—the way that Elsbeth strives to empathize with the people she’s pursuing.
Not only does she typically understand them, sometimes she even knows exactly where they’re coming from.
“I was so angry. I wanted to hurt that nasty kid. I wanted to do something.” Like, look at this quote! Elsbeth is bright and wonderfully weird, yes, and she has her inner darknesses too. But here’s the crucial thing—not in spite of her brightness but alongside it. It’s such a compelling combination of traits, and it’s a dynamic that the show has explored in incredible ways already.
Re: Joe threatening Elsbeth: One day, I wonder if the show will eventually play with Elsbeth constantly pushing culprits’ boundaries. Hhhhhhgh. What if one of them snaps?
This ruse to trap Joe is a lot, lmao.
“Claudia will kill me if anything happens to you!”
FULLY thought that Wagner was about to get shot. ☠️
“Maybe that’s why I got the job, and you didn’t.” killer line.
“And you can go back to Chicago now.” ELSBETH AND KAYA’S FACES IMMEDIATELY FALLING.
AND, FUCK, WAGNER REQUESTING IT!!! GOD GOD GOD.
FUCK, THAT’S A GOOD AND ANGSTY CLIFFHANGER.
ANDRÉ DE SHIELDS IN THE NEXT EPISODE?!!!?!
this was a fun penultimate episode. arian moayed killed it, and I loved the cliffhanger ending. really sets the stakes for the finale.

"another one, sweetheart."
i'm not your sweetheart, you wanted to mutter. but you bit your tongue, remembering that your father is somewhere in the room. so you have no other choice but to approach the loud, messy table, and pour the greasy dirty man another glass of whatever alcohol you had in hand. it didn't matter anymore, as long as it filled his stomach.
"that's a good girl," he roars with laughter, heavy hand landing on your bottom and making you jolt.
your eyes seek your father, silently asking for help. but no help comes. instead, he points to a different table that demands attention, and leaves the saloon. you stand still, voices muffling around you. your neatly put bun is now falling apart, strands loose on your face and sticking due to sweat, your clothes are heavy on you, and your hands will soon start shaking if you don't take a break from all the work. from early mornings, to even earlier ones the next day, you are destined to be a servant on your own father's property. you wonder if this will last forever. pouring alcohol, dodging flying chairs and tables, taking the harassment so you can survive for another month.
if this really is your future, then what is the point of living? will he marry you off to one of these men? or will he keep you as his servant until the end of his days? you remember the day everything changed for you. you had just come back from the city, finishing the school day. barely a teen, hand in hand with your best friends. your father sat you in the empty saloon, putting his hands on your shoulders.
"you're quitting school."
just a month after you buried your mother, he told you that. there was nobody to help him, he had to fire his staff, and laid his trust into you. the business was crazy that week. who wouldn't want to come and see the owner's little daughter serving alcohol? those men congratulated your father on your birth, watched you play on the street, went to your mother's funeral and wailed with you, came to the saloon to see you struggle with bottles and glasses, only later to have their filthy hands all over you as soon as you turned eighteen. it doesn't stop, no matter how many times you ask. the pleading only makes them do it more, those sick bastards. and each one of them have a wife waiting at home, and a child comforting her.
"hey, bitch, over here!"
monday was a peaceful day. no work, not at the saloon at least. but a basket full of dirty old clothes awaits by the door, waiting to be washed. it is a cold autumn morning, the sun very low in the sky and not warming at all. you drag your feet across the field, hands red from the weight of the basket and the frost. your dress catches onto various branches and bushes, but you do not look back. you need to be done before noon, so you can make lunch for your father.
reaching the river, you drop the basket on the dying grass. a few flowers are still scattered here and there, fighting their way through the cold morning dew. as you scrub your father's shirt on the washboard, you notice just how old those clothes have gotten. you both need new ones, you cannot be walking around looking like the poorest people in town, while owning a saloon. but your father sees no value in those things. talking to him is like talking to a wall that might hit you if you say something it doesn't like. so you keep your mouth shut.
the used, thin washboard suddenly snaps under your hands, a piece of wood jamming into your skin and making you yelp. your skin being almost frozen from being in cold water, and then getting pierced, makes you finally break down. you hug your knees to your chest, and bury your head into the muddy dress. you're cold, in pain, and you miss your mother. your friends. the life you had, and the life you were supposed to have.
sometimes, you selfishly blamed your mother for dying. if she was still here, you could've had a life just like your friends. finding a job in the big city, a man too, a decent one. not this.
you hide your hands in the ruffles of your worn out dress, seeking warmth. you cannot go back home without washing the rest of the clothes, and the sun is rising faster than you want it to. noon will come by soon, and you will have two tasks unfinished. your father won't be pleased.
a distant neigh and galloping have your attention, your head curiously turning to see who it could be. your heart almost sinks when you see the speed the horses are headed at towards you, but with legs and bum frozen on the ground, you cannot move. all you can do is close your eyes in defeat, hoping for the best.
the gallop stops, now switching to a trot. you open your eyes, and see two shiny horses in front of you. the two men riding them dismount, one of them standing next to his horse and taking the leash from the other one. the taller man adjusts his hat, gaze fixed on the floor, and fastens his holster. you gulp, seeing the shiny revolver resting on his hip. then, he raises his head to finally look at you. you almost forget the potential danger of the situation once you look at his brown eyes. he is tall. very tall. and absolutely gorgeous. you look away, suddenly aware of how you look. heavens, what a perfect timing.
"oh, it's just a doe." he says, voice soft and sweet. he tilts his head, trying to get you to look at him. when you don't, he takes a step closer to you, careful not to scare you away. "came for a morning refreshment?"
you don't respond. instead, you look at the man behind him. he stands still, leashes in his hands. his clothes are a bit more rugged than the ones on the man in front of you, but it fits his image very well. then, your eyes betray you end lay on the man in front of you again. he wears a brown leather jacket with fringes, dark blue jeans, and matching brown boots. his brown hat sits perfectly on his head, giving him a mysterious look. he notices you staring, and only chuckles softly. he reaches into his saddlebag, retrieving something wrapped in a white cloth.
"hungry?"
this time, your stomach is the one that betrays you. it decides to grumble as soon as you shake your head no, making the man chuckle again.
"go on, you can have it. you look like you need it."
he holds it out for you to take, closing the distance further. you step back, remembering your father's words.
"no speaking to other men outside of the saloon. if i see you do that, i will personally declare you a whore. nobody will want to marry you, and you'll be alone for the rest of your life."
charming. the man doesn't give up, as he steps further towards you. you step back again, hunger, fear and curiosity fighting inside of you and making you sick to your stomach.
"it's alright. it's just food, i don't mean you any harm."
but he doesn't know what words ring inside your head. taking another step back, your heart almost stops once again. you have stepped into the shallow river, your body losing balance following. the handsome cowboy drops the item on the floor, and firmly grabs your waist and pulls you back to stand on the grass. you instinctively grab onto his shoulders for support, and he pulls your body into his. you breathe out when your chest collides with his, overwhelmed by the situation.
"clumsy girl," he teases.
you can't make yourself move, not only because you don't want to, but because his grip is firm on your waist. he safely moves you away from the water and removes one hand from your body, only to move the loose strands of hair from your face.
"wyatt," he calls.
the other man steps towards the two of you, not uttering a word.
"you go on. i'll catch up with you."
without protest, he gets on his horse, nods towards his companion, then gallops away. you are left alone with the ridiculously handsome cowboy, now feeling a bit warmer than a few moments ago. the man finally lets go of you, picking up the cloth from the ground. a distant thunder surprises you, and you look over at the scattered clothes. the black clouds over the mountains are covering the blue sky quite fast, and it just seems at this moment that everything is working against you.
you hurriedly collect the remaining dirty clothes, crouching down and brushing it against the half of the washboard as best as you can. your hand is in pain, still dripping red, but your father's consequences are more painful. you'd rather have a hundred more splinters ripping your skin than your father slapping you across the face like he is used to.
the man lets you finish, turning his attention to the horse. in the corner of your eye, you see him caressing the horse's mane. the animal leans into his hand, enjoying the comfort of his warm and caring touch. he looks so tough, yet his actions are a complete opposite.
"if you're done staring, you can join me."
caught red handed, and red cheeked, you turn around to see him sat under the nearby tree, opening the white cloth. he sets it on the ground near him, and folds his arms across his chest. you pick up the now clean clothes, the broken washboard forgotten and floating somewhere further down the field. you sit next to him, the food serving as an imaginary border. he takes his hat off, putting it over his face and rests his head against the tree.
"if you're embarrassed to eat in front of me. now i won't look. eat. please."
and you do. you take a bite of the biscuit, enjoying it like it's your first one ever. you take the chance now that he doesn't see anything to properly look around. his horse is gorgeous, white with brown legs and head. you then look at its owner, still chewing on the biscuit. the more you look at him, the more your stomach feels all fuzzy. is this what it feels like to be attracted to a man? are you finally experiencing a crush?
you should really get home.
thunder grumbles again, causing the horse to become restless.
"shh, you're good." the cowboy says soothingly, not moving from his spot. and the horse listens.
it soothes you too, because you lean against the tree like him, and silently eat. your breathing matches his, and for a moment, you think that he has fallen asleep. until you start feeling drops of rain on your head. you don't say anything. you don't really need to, because the man interrupts his short break by standing up and putting his hand out for you to take. you take it, your hand melting into his as he helps you up. his touch is secure, and gentle. nobody has ever held you this way, and you are afraid you might get used to it. he leads you to his horse, throwing his spare jacket your way.
"i'll take you home."
"no!"
the cowboy scrunches his eyebrows, and abruptly turns towards you. his hand doesn't leave yours, no matter how hard you pull. "she speaks." he says, as if he made an important discovery.
you shake your head frantically, repeating yourself. "no, you can't."
"why?" he asks, raising an eyebrow.
"because."
"that's not a valid answer, sunshine."
if your stomach wasn't turning from the difficult situation you have found yourself in, it would turn from the simple nickname coming from his mouth. you aren't quite sure whether you're feeling nervous because of your father, or because of the handsome stranger. you remember that he is just a stranger, no matter in how much awe he has you. if you get on his horse, he could take you anywhere. but if you don't get on his horse, he could simply tie you up and take you with him anyway.
fuck.
"i like to walk." you blurt out, grabbing the basket of clothes and holding it in front of you, as if shielding yourself from him.
"lies."
"please, just leave me alone. thank you for the food, and for, well, not letting me fall into the water, but-"
"does he beat you every day?"
he says it with a tone so serious it has your blood going cold in your veins. his gaze becomes stone cold, dark, and it pierces right through you. seeing your distressed face, he steps towards you again, moving your hair away from your neck. the bruise you thought you so cleverly hid now uncovered in front of him. funny how a potentially dangerous stranger shows more interest in it than the town.
"or only when you do something wrong?"
"i don't see how that's any of your business."
"it isn't. however, if you want it to stop, you might have to make it my business."
you wish for nothing more than for it to stop. but exactly how does this man plan to make it his business? talk to your father? teach him a lesson? or the worst?
"i'll tell you what. i'll bring you just to the hill so nobody sees us, and you think about what i said until then."
you nod, defeated. you really need to get home as quick as possible and get started on the lunch. the cowboy helps you up on the horse, then climbs behind you. this is the closest you've ever been to a man, and if you weren't sneakily reading those short romance stories in the back of the discarded newspaper, you would think that you are becoming ill by how hot your cheeks feel. when he grabs the leash, also helping you hold the basket in the process, you take your time to admire his hands. pretty pale fingers, slightly muddy from maybe hours or days of riding. he smells of whiskey, vanilla and a hint of tobacco. you allow yourself a moment of weakness, closing your eyes and inhaling the scent. it doesn't help the way his warm chest and torso are pressed against your back, rubbing against you with each horses gallop.
when you open your eyes, you are disappointed to see the hill. it means that the short little adventure with the mystery cowboy has come to an end, and that you might never see him again. it's all up to you. and you hate that.
he helps you down, then fixes the ruffles of your dress that were slightly turned upwards from riding while you are occupied with the clothes in the basket.
"well?" he finally says, seeing that you have no intention of speaking first.
"i'll be fine." you lie.
you almost miss the way he bites the inside of his cheek from disappointment. almost. he nods, understandingly, and approaches you. for the last time, maybe. he takes your hand in his, thumb rubbing over the place where your splinter is. "take care of that. wouldn't want such pretty hands to be in pain or have a scar."
he kisses the back of it, eyes not once leaving yours. you almost shiver, from the cold and from his touch.
"thank you for your company, dove. we must part ways now, but i do hope i see you again one day. you are too pretty to forget."
he takes his hat off to say his goodbye, then climbs back on his horse. with a sweet smile and a nod, he gallops away. you stand there and watch, heart swelling with sadness. you watch and watch, until he becomes just a small little dot in the distance.
Tumblr media
weeks pass, and your life dynamic does not change. you still serve drunk perverts, avoid sexual offers, cook, and freeze yourself by the river. only now, you wake up earlier than usual, and keep looking at your surroundings in hopes of seeing a familiar brown hat. but you never see it. it's been almost two months, and not a single sign from him. maybe for the best. he did look like bad news. very handsome bad news.
you currently sit in a dark corner in the saloon, reading last weeks newspaper for the romance update on the last page. the appearance of the main character morphs into the cowboy in your head. no longer short, blonde haired with blue eyes and bulk figure, but dark haired with a short mullet, with brown eyes and a slender figure. you didn't even catch his name, yet you shamelessly daydream about him.
the doors of the saloon aggressively swing, startling you and breaking your bubble. you turn the newspaper upside down, hiding your little secret. a young man, known as denver, stands at the entrance, face pure horror. your father approaches him, putting his hands on his shoulders to calm him down.
"what's wrong, boy?"
denver barely gets his sentence out, before countless gallops are heard outside, accompanied with various screams. "he's here."
"who is?"
"the stallion."
you have never seen your father scared. and that scared you even more. he took a step back, abandoning the young man. the saloon became a mess, everyone pushing each other on the way to the exit, but suddenly coming to a halt. you stand up, taking your place behind the bar. the people are stepping back, slowly, still facing towards the doors. they separate in two groups, making way for the intruder. and when your eyes land on the intruder, you swear your heart could jump right on the bar in front of you.
your cowboy, your mystery man, the man you prayed you'd see again, stands in your saloon. drenched in blood and dust, sweaty, and with a revolver in his hand. the look on his face when he sees you tells you that you weren't meant to see him in this state. but he doesn't say anything. instead, he approaches the bar, along with his companions. they are all a mess, but not as much as him.
"good day, darling."
your stomach twists again, and you have to fight the urge to smile. you can't smile, not when everyone around you is terrified. you clear your throat, collecting any stray thoughts before speaking. "good day, sir."
"two rooms. and two bottles of whiskey waiting for me tonight." he says, a sweet smile on his lips.
"uh, yes-"
"there are no rooms available for you." your father interrupts, making his way to the bar.
the cowboy raises his eyebrow, then looks at your father. "oh?"
"yes. so i'm afraid you'll have to call it a day here."
the young man chuckles, eyes returning to your face. he throws a roll of money on the counter, then pushes is towards your father with his stained revolver. "don't be afraid, we won't."
you feel caged by his gaze, afraid to even move. why are you here, you wanted to ask. and why do you look like that. his clothes might look different, but the look on his face when he looks at you stays the same. in the corner of your eye, you notice someone trying to exit sneakily. but the cowboy also seems to catch it, because he points his trusted weapon toward the ceiling and-
"argh!" the woman screams, pure fear painted on her face.
"nobody leaves, until i get two fucking rooms and two bottles of whiskey. have i made myself clear?" he slams the revolver on the counter, causing you to jolt and step back. "now, if your pretty little daughter said that i can have them, just why the fuck are you meddling?"
defeated, your father takes the money, then nods your way. "show them."
alone?, you wanted to ask. but your tongue feels swollen, and your jaw heavy. you don't say anything. instead, you look at the fearsome cowboy, then proceed upstairs. the three of them follow, not uttering a word. you reach the rooms, opening the doors for them to see. the cowboy nods towards the room, sending them a signal to go in. when the two finally close the door, the dark haired man wastes no time in softly pinning you against the wall, just between the two doors.
"there, there. are you that scared of me, sunshine?"
you swear your eyes couldn't get any wider, and you hate it. you must look like a freak to him. but if you do, he doesn't show any disgust. he removes your hair from your neck once again, letting it fall down your back. his knuckles caress the now yellow spot on the neck, the bruise slowly healing.
his eyes shift from the bruise to your eyes, his gaze softening. "not excited to see me?"
you gulp, figuring which words to use. you are, and you are not. you don't even know.
"that's okay."
his other hand find its spot on the back of your head, slightly tilting it so that the injured side of the neck is more exposed. you feel his warm breath against your skin, growing hotter and closer. you finally let out a noise, it being a whimper rather than a proper word or sentence. soft lips graze your skin, before his tongue delicately swipes across your bruise. your stomach has never felt fuzzier, and your head is in the clouds. all those butterflies you felt while reading the newspaper have now turned into a volcano, waiting to erupt any second. the cowboy continues giving attention to your now sensitive neck, having you tremble in his arms.
he notices, putting his other hand on your waist and pushing you further into the wall, silently ordering you to stay still. he leans his own body into you, warm sensation enveloping you and causing you to moan into his ear.
realizing your horrible mistake, your hands quickly find their way to his firm chest, in an attempt to push him away. but instead, your fingers grip the fabric of his ruined leather jacket, and your head falls completely in his control. his hand massages your scalp, all while his tongue never leaves you. he switches from tender kisses, to kitten licks, and if he doesn't stop soon, you might just drip all over the floor and his shoes.
as if he heard you, he delivers one final kiss, before he pulls away. "i'll see you downstairs at dinner. thank you for the room, dove. and for the lunch."
hearing the door slam shut, you can finally breathe normally. you are left to tremble against the wall, your neck and underwear wet, all because of him. you rush to one of the empty rooms, at the end of the hallway. you lock it, then toss yourself on the bed. you waste no time in flipping your dress over, your fingers finding the soft folds between your legs. you gasp, more at the state of it than the feeling. you are soaked, your fingers almost slipping from your folds.
you spend a worrying amount of time trying to please yourself somehow, but the buildup is just growing and growing, not giving any signs of erupting soon. no matter how much you picture your handsome cowboy, just a few doors away.
and you don't even know his name.
"did he touch you?"
"what?!"
"i'm serious. did he do anything to you?"
"father-" since when do you care? "he didn't!"
he continues to follow you while you serve the guests, asking questions and demanding to know the truth. "did he say anything?"
"like?"
"anything."
"he asked for a prostitute and i said i'm available tonight."
smack.
nobody turns, already used to your father's free will. you bite the inside of your now stinging hot  cheek, wishing for nothing more than to hit him with the bottle of gin you had in your hand.
"fucking slut. just like your mother. give me that." he yanks the tray from your hands, causing two glasses to fall and shatter. "pick that up, and go to the stables."
"but it's dinner time-"
"judith will help me. go. now."
not only do you end up not eating yourself, but you don't see the man whose lips you're still feeling on you. maybe that's why your father told you to leave, just so you don't see him. is it possible that he knows today isn't the first time you see the cowboy?
you search for his horse, the one you thought was the prettiest one you've seen. but it's not in the stable.
"it got shot. he had to put her down." slowly getting used to sudden intrusions, you turn around. one of his companions sit on a block of hay.
"oh." is all you manage to say.
"a shame, really. especially because she was a present from his wife."
"what?" you turn around, the bucket of carrots falling from your hands.
"ah, he didn't tell you? why would he. he wouldn't be able to get into your pants if you knew he was married. haven't you noticed something shiny on his finger?"
no, no you haven't. because you were so mesmerized by his face and behavior you didn't question whether he has someone waiting for him at home. besides, a married man wouldn't... touch you the way he did?
"ah, poor thing. you thought he had a thing for you? you don't compare to his wife. he's an outlaw after all, our yunho. his wife is a perfect match for him, almost a female version of him. did you know that the bounty on her head is higher than his?"
you feel like you could throw up. from multiple reasons. you let a married man touch you. hell, you touched yourself to a married man. not just an ordinary man, but an outlaw? what if his wife finds out? is she really that dangerous? will you be next on her victim list? not able to contain the emotions any longer, you run to the corner, bending over the blocks of hay and puking on the floor.
"ah, there, there. i'm quite surprised, that was the calmest reaction yet. other women tend to jump at his throat immediately."
other women? the ground sways under your feet, threatening to crumble and swallow you.
"since you're not in a state to speak, i'll answer all the questions in your head. have a seat, please."
you finally take a good look at the man once you sit down, seeing him stand up in front of you. he's no less handsome than the cowboy, yunho, and he is older. but the somewhat evil smirk on his face is off putting. you hold the now empty bucket in your lap, carrots laying on the ground for the horses to feast on. just in case you feel sick again.
"see, while yunho does love his dear wife, she can be a bit of a handful for him. too... dominant for him, one could say. so he seeks submissiveness in other women, just like you. women who are the opposite to lori, women who are, well, nothing. much like you."
his words shoot at your heart, and you know he is right. it just feels disappointing to hear it out loud. were you really a nothing?
"he sleeps with them and whatever, and kindly robs them while they sleep from exhaustion. the rest of us do the same with others, not to worry. it's rude to exclude, don't you think? you know, you should really pay more attention to that notice board next to your house. my head is the third one from the left, right under the mighty stallion."
"why would you tell me this? what's in it for you?"
"my, you speak! what's in it for me? nothing, if i'm being honest. i just happen to be aware of the treatment your father gives you, and i guess the years are starting to catch up to me. i think i feel pity."
"you're going to ask for something in return, aren't you?"
"clever girl, you are." he crouches in front of you, cupping your cheek and caressing it with his thumb. "give me what you wanted to give yunho."
"i didn't want to-"
"you think i'm dumb? like you? i know that if he had only asked you, you would've jumped in his bed right away. therefore, i tell you, give me what i ask."
"no."
the older man scoffs, then stands up again. his hand remains on your cheek, but his thumb stops caressing it. he removes it, only to bring it back with a slap. losing balance, you fall on the ground. the man doesn't give you any time to process what just happened, grabbing you by your shoulders and throwing you on the pile of hay. you open your mouth, letting out a scream that gets cut off by his lips on your mouth. they feel greasy, reeking of onion and beef, not remotely close to yunho's.
your hands are trapped above your head, his hand holding it in place while his other one struggles with the layers of your dress and apron. you kick, as fast and hard as you can, but you only manage to piss him off. he pulls away, only to spit in your face.
"i bet you wouldn't give yunho a hard time like this. why do all women have to be so difficult? all i want to do is make you feel good, baby."
tears stream down your face, words stuck in your throat. even though nothing is blocking your mouth anymore, you don't speak.
"you know, if you just let me... i'd get rid of your father for good. i could take you with me, i'd make you feel good any time you ask. i could-"
his words are left hanging in the air, and you feel hot liquid splash over your face. the shooting noise catches up to you right after the man's body falls on you, lifeless. you finally scream, lungs hurting from the amount of it. your hands fly to your face, wiping off the liquid and staring at it. red drips down your hands, onto your neck, pure terror filling your body as you realize you have someone's remains all over you. short and fast breaths leave your mouth, chest compressed under his heavy figure. it is not until another figure pulls him off you, and puts his hand over your mouth with hushing noises.
"it's alright, love." you recognize the voice as wyatt's, who then helps you up. "hey, you're fine."
you're not. you do not know who to trust. then again, when you don't trust your own father, why bother?
"let's get you washed."
after splashing your face with cold water and wiping it with his handkerchief, wyatt helps you to the back entrance of the saloon, then goes back to the stables. probably to finish the business.
you find yourself laying in the guest bed again, only this time, the sheets aren't wet from arousal, but from tears. you spend at least two hours, eyes fixed on the wooden ceiling . you feel dirty, still feeling his dirty hands all over you. your fingers hesitantly touch your face, afraid that you'll stain them red again. your dress and apron still have droplets of now brown liquid. is this what yunho does? is that why he looked the way he did when he entered the saloon? only the blood on his clothes was still red, still very fresh.
if what the dead man said was true, then you best stay out of the cowboy's way. and just like that, your secret little romance story has turned into a horror one.
the next few days, you don't see yunho much. you see the prostitutes coming down from the top floor, sometimes two or three of them at a time. and you are disgusted. you only see him at breakfast, from afar, and he doesn't show much interest in approaching you. his companions surround him, making the frown on his face bigger every day. were they discussing the strategy of robbing the town? was there something in their way?
for a split second, the man catches your gaze. his eyes soften, and you swear you could see a faint smile on his lips. but you couldn't return it. not when you know the intentions behind it. the soft look is replaced by confusion, which grows even bigger when you only spare him an ice cold glance and move on with your work.
saturday evening, the saloon is full. it is foggy, reeks of cigarettes and alcohol, and is loud. you don't see him or his crew yet, and you are thankful for it. at least one evening of peace. so far.
"it's kind of disappointing, you know? i mean, the sex is amazing. well, you know. you had him yesterday. but it's so sad that the town fears him and wants him dead. wouldn't mind having a piece of that every day. my body is burning, and it's been two days, but i still want more."
"i know, right? what a shame. i wish he'd stick around longer. i don't know about you, but i love that thrill of knowing that he's an outlaw. a wanted man, a gorgeous wanted man, having his way with me? i don't think anything will top that. i mean, did you see his-"
"another drink?" you interrupt, not able to listen anymore.
they giggle among each other before handing you the downed glasses. the saloon quiets down when they hear thuds coming from the stairs. you regret looking up, eyes immediately locking with familiar brown ones. everyone seems to watch their step, ready to get up and free a table if yunho desires it. oh, the amount of power he holds. that isn't supposed to make you feel some type of way. you're supposed to hate him.
but how, when he approaches you so politely, tucking that loose piece of hair that's been bothering you all evening behind your ear. such a simple gesture, which awakes the oceans in you, and probably means nothing to him. just a foreplay, before he finally cages you and fulfills his plans.
slowly, but surely, the music goes on. the people are relaxed once they see yunho doesn't have any thirst for blood tonight.
"gin."
"right away."
the night goes on, with you tending to everyone. and the cowboy follows you with his eyes, so much that the two women at the bar near him start throwing themselves at him just to get his attention.
"say, when are we going to have fun again?"
"yeah, stallion. did you forget us already?"
yunho chuckles, seeing you approach the other side of the bar and mouth their words with a mocking face. you hear him, raising your head enough to look at him. caught red handed, you only awkwardly press your lips in a thin line, continuing to wash the dirty glasses.
"you were never really ones to remember," yunho simply says, bringing the glass to his lips and downing the drink in one go.
he stands up, not sparing the women a glance even after they audibly gasp and start murmuring among each other. he approaches your father, saying something into his ear, then looks at you once again before disappearing upstairs.
"here," a clean washcloth lands on the bar counter by the end of the night.
"what?"
"that cowboy, stallion. he needs a bath."
"so? he can get his own washcloths. why do i need to- oh."
"yeah, oh. we haven't had a single man in a while, so there was no need for edith. now you can go fill her position."
great.
you knock on the door, and use the other hand to fix your hair before you hear him say come in. you do as told, two washcloths secure in your hand as you go deeper in the room. it takes everything in you to stand still not collapse from the sight. his clothes are carelessly dumped on the floor, and he lays still in the wooden basin filled with water. the place is steamy, the fireplace keeping the winter cold away. yunho has his arms hanging from the basin, and his head resting against the edge. the steam has caused his hair to stick to his face, which was shiny. droplets of sweat roll down his neck and into the water, and you think that is the most beautiful sight you've ever seen.
he is so manly, so handsome, and so...
"you gonna stand there and watch while i slowly cook myself into a stew here?"
he is fresh shaven, that is the first thing you notice when you approach him. he lazily opens his eyes, the hot water having relaxed his muscles a bit more than he wanted to. "right, sorry."
you wet one washcloth, then wrap it around a bar of soap. you haven't done this since... ever. yes, you helped wash your sick cousin. but she was sick, and it was different. this? having a whole man naked right in front of you, and you were supposed to touch him?
"go on. i don't bite. not unless you want to."
"i really don't." you murmur, finally pressing the soap against his hot skin.
you exhale, your heart threatening to escape from your chest and jump into the basin with the cowboy. a thin layer of fabric is all that is in the way of you finally feeling him the way you wanted. a fabric that could so easily just slip from your fingers, and you accidentally touch him. and he likes it. and he acts on it. and-
"i see you breaking your back down there. every day. with your father, with all those perverts, with all those jealous women. you deserve better. my offer still stands, you know?"
"i'm fine," you say, just like last time.
"give yourself some time to think."
the next half hour is quiet. peaceful sounds of the wood cracking, water dripping, and yunho's calm breathing. his eyes are locked on you, and you are sweating as much as him, only for different reasons. you fear that he can read your mind, figure out just how naughty the images in your head are getting. but when it gets to a certain point, you are reminded of that night, and you stop. that bastard has stolen your first kiss, and almost stole your first time. if anything, you are thankful that yunho has brought wyatt with him.
"uh... can you sit up straight?"
yunho raises an eyebrow, amused. you clear your throat when he doesn't move, looking around before finally figuring it out.
"could you sit up straight, sir? please?"
"right away, darling."
he does as asked, exposing his back to you. heavens, you want to- you want to- you don't even know what you want. there he sits, a whole meal right in front of you, and all you can do is breathe heavily and act all clumsy. you rub the soap on his back, gently massaging him and feeling every line on his body.
"you missed a spot."
"huh?"
"right here." his warm hand takes your wrist, guiding you towards his chest once again. your hand rests over his beating heart, and if you weren't so foolishly focused on seeing what the missed spot was, you would've seen the look on his face that is yelling to kiss him.
"oh, sorry."
he doesn't get angry. instead, he chuckles fondly. you are so delicate and innocent, it hurts him. too mesmerized by your focused face, he doesn't notice that your hand is traveling to his stomach. he jolts, hand clasping your wrist so tight that it has you whimper. you seem to have found a sensitive spot, not only to the body, but to the mind and heart. the look on his face shifts from a soft to an angry one, and you take it as your cue to step back.
"that's all. you can go." he mutters, looking away from you.
"but-"
"i'll finish up. go."
Tumblr media
coming back to the stables, it takes a lot of energy. you first go during the day, with jongho. he knew, wyatt told him. the rest only knew that wyatt and the man got into a fight and wyatt had to shoot him. jongho is understanding, kind, and doesn't seem to share any of the qualities that the dead man had given them. not only is he not interested in doing any harm to the town and its people, but he is rather helpful.
yunho, again, is nowhere to be seen. you hesitate to ask. you don't know what you did wrong, but you pray that the night isn't your last encounter with him.
you stand in front of the stables, memories flooding your brain once you see the hay blocks. they have been rearranged, some destroyed, possibly by jongho or wyatt. the horses are sitting together in the corner, enjoying the warmth of each other during the first snowy day.
"i can't do it."
"that's alright. i won't force you. i just don't want one sick man to keep haunting you even when he's no longer here."
"i need time."
jongho only smiles reassuringly, patting your shoulder. he's nice, why doesn't your stomach toss and turn when you see him the way it does when you see yunho?
"i still wonder what he told you about yunho. your behaviour towards him isn't at all like he described it."
"what, he spoke to you about me?"
wyatt subtly kicks his knee from the side, ordering him to stop. but jongho feels rather mischievous today, and is growing annoyed of his leader. they were supposed to move on days ago, not behave like tourists.
"you first. i want to know why you despise him. well, except obvious reasons." the young man turns around, pointing at their companions scattered in the main street, keeping people away and scared.
you sit on the bench in front of the stable, running your hands through your already messy hair before finding the right words to say. "is he married?"
the two men look at each other, their faces not giving you much of an answer. they are extremely good at masking their emotions. wyatt sighs, sitting down to your right. "yes. and no."
"what do you mean? yes or no?"
"well, it's complicated." jongho says, sitting to your left.
"it's also not our story to tell," wyatt adds, looking over at jongho with a warning look, "yunho is the one that should be telling you."
you scoff, making both men look at you in confusion. "does it matter? he'll just sleep with me, you all will do your part of the job, and then you'll leave. i should do it as soon as possible, for both of our sakes. i imagine you can't wait to leave this town, just like we can't wait for you to leave."
"listen, if yunho wanted to harm you, he would. we never stay in one place longer than three days. we've been here far longer, as you can see. i don't know the reason yet, but i know he doesn't mean any harm. did he have a change of heart? doubt it. will he continue his crimes? i don't doubt that. is there something holding him here? yes, yes there is. i might have a guess, but-"
"jongho. shut the fuck up."
"i wasn't going to tell her, wyatt, relax."
the two men bicker over you, random words and sentences traveling to your ears and overstimulating your brain. you start feeling dizzy, suddenly overwhelmed by everything. you stand up and march down the street, leaving the two men to feel bad on the bench.
the next time you go to the stables, it is night again. and it is because your father throws a glass at you. it hits the wall right next to you, breaking, shards flying into your skin. you have nowhere to go, yunho's companions basically running the town by now. you don't need one of them to get a hold of you again. you sit on the new pile of hay, far in the corner. sobbing, pulling at your hair, cursing yourself.
how wise would it be to actually take his offer? would you be able to survive on your own? or would every single man in town finally be happy that you're all alone, unprotected, and out of someone's cage.
it hurts to even think about it, and it causes you to sob even more. your chest hurts, and after what seems like hours of crying, you aren't sure if it's from physical or emotional pain.
the animals seem to feel sorry for you, because soon enough two horses find their comfort in the hay right next to you, shielding your figure from the outside world. you can't help but laugh at the bigger one, his head pushing into your lap and demanding attention.
"aren't you cute?"
your fingers gently caress its neck, lulling it to sleep. it seems like the whole stable was affected, because soon enough they all start laying down one by one, calling it an early night and pulling you to sleep with them. funny how you got way more peace and affection from animals than your own family.
"moonshine."
click. click. click.
"come on, girl."
the warm surface you were laying on moves, following the mouth clicking noises and leaving your head to rest on the hay. you're still asleep, not aware that someone else has joined you in the stable. but the other person isn't aware that you're there either.
"there's my good girl," the man pets the black stallion, which lives up to its name and stands under the moonlight, in its full glory and shine. "aren't you beautiful?"
your eyes peel open, the voice slowly waking you up. you hear crunching, and a bucket rattling. when you finally open your eyes, you see the outline of the familiar figure at the entrance. it is not yet morning, that you figure out by the darkness that has swallowed the place. the only light being the gas lantern hanging from the saloons entrance, you don't see much. but you recognize that hat and figure anywhere.
"i wish you could speak, my pretty moonshine. you'd tell me why blood was spilled, and why my pretty girl won't lay her eyes on me anymore."
his...? his pretty girl? you don't move a muscle, hoping to hear more. the mare only points its head towards the bucket, demanding more food. yunho chuckles, reaching for another apple.
"do you think i scared her away? i made sure she knows i don't mean any harm to her. did someone fill her pretty head with something?"
the mare lets out a noise, as if wanting to confirm. yunho exhales, then sets the bucket aside. he goes further into the stable, walking just past you and grabs the saddle from the corner. going back, his boot gets caught in your dress, and causes him to halt. you shut your eyes, pretending to still sleep.
"heavens." he exhales.
you feel him get closer to you, and almost betray yourself when you feel his knuckles caress your face.
"darling?"
his voice is usually low and pleasant, but hearing him whisper is just something else. why does he have to be so perfect, yet so dangerous?
you stretch, pretending to not notice him yet. finally opening your eyes, you fake a gasp. you lean back into the hay, trying to keep a distance from him. he crouches in front of you, fixing his hat. you can't get over how well it suits him.
"had a good nap?"
"well, yes. had." you mumble, rubbing your eyes.
"that's no place to sleep, dove."
"it's the only place that gives me comfort right now."
he nods, understandingly. he offers you his hand to take, and you only look at him, puzzled.
"i'll take you to a place that will give you more comfort."
"i'm not sure-"
"that wasn't a question." the tone is serious, but the wink he gives you after it relaxes you.
the cowboy stands up, making his way to his mare. you stand up, dusting off your dress and following him. he puts the saddle on the horse, securing it, then offers you his hand again. this time you take it, not yet sure what he had in mind.
"go on, climb her."
"uh... she's quite... bigger than the last one. or any other one i rode on."
"yeah, moonshine is quite something. she's gentle though, nothing to worry about. go on, don't be shy."
with a bit of struggle, and a little push from yunho, you finally sit comfortably on the tall mare. she indeed shines under the moon, black fur reflecting beautifully in the dark night. yunho climbs behind you, taking the leash in his hands and guiding the mare down the street.
"is she fast?"
"she can be. want to see?"
"i don't know. i might scream."
he chuckles. he maintains the pace, gracefully trotting down the quiet sleepy town. you see some of his companions keeping watch, each nodding their heads your way as you pass them. your gaze falls on his hands, searching for the shiny item that was mentioned that night. but you don't see it. was it really a lie? or did yunho somehow know, and took it off? is the wife even real?
"hold on tight." he whispers into your ear, hot breath brushing your neck and cheek.
you grab onto his thighs, instinctively, right before you pass the last house and yunho whips the leash against the mare. it neighs, puts its two front legs up in the air and almost throws you on the grown. you gasp, but manage to collect yourself once the animal returns to its position and starts galloping. it feels like you're flying, and you're enjoying it more than you're scared of it. your hair flies into his face probably, but he doesn't say anything.
you pass hills, past the river where you first saw the man, and into the mountains. you don't remember the last time you went this far outside of town. not only because you weren't allowed, but you had no time or way. it's not as if you had a horse of your own.
his thighs are firm under your hands, nothing but pure muscle. and it suddenly drives you crazy, the way you feel his torso pressed against your back, arms holding the leash and keeping you from falling off along the way, his breath against your ear.
"you alright?"
"yes!"
"how do you feel? scared?"
"this is so much fun! it's scary and fun!"
his laugh is loud over the wind, chest vibrating behind you. the mare slows its pace when arriving on the steep mountain trails, carefully navigating to the top. once there, it comes to a halt. it is not very high, but high enough too overlook the fields, the river, and the distant town. yunho dismounts, then helps you down.
"cold?" he asks, noticing your trembling frame.
"a bit."
this time, he doesn't throw the spare jacket at you like the first time you met. he takes off his own, helping you put it on. it's warm, smells like him, and it's making you so dizzy you might just fall off the cliff. taking a good look at him, you decide that even if he is dangerous, his handsomeness makes up for it. he wears a brown waistcoat, accentuating his thin waist and broad shoulders. heavens, he is so dashing.
you stand still, waiting for his next plan. he pulls a blanket out of the saddlebag, along with the familiar white cloth, and sets it on the ground. the mare continues it's path further up, taking a spot near a boulder, as if used to the situation already. which brings you back to the questions in your head; did he bring other women here?
"sit down, peach. make yourself comfortable."
and you do, right next to him. you both sit still for a few moments, looking at the faint light in the distance. yunho then fidgets with something in the pocket of his jeans, before holding it out for you to take. in his open palm lays a ring, the very ring you've heard about and had your head spinning for days.
"hmph," he laughs through his nose, "figured that was the issue."
"there is no issue. you have a wife. end of story."
"take it."
"no."
"take it."
"i don't want to."
yunho sighs, then closes his hand again. he sits still for a few moments, as if thinking. and then-
"why would you do that?!"
you stand up, watching the shiny piece of jewelry fall from the cliff.
"if you listened and took it, you would've seen how worthless it is."
"i don't need your wedding ring, yunho."
his eyebrows are knit together, and you suddenly realize your mistake.
"you know my name."
"yeah."
"how?"
and you tell him. every detail of it, including the wife story. he listens carefully, face not giving any emotion. typical. by the time you finish, you are laying down and looking up at the shiny sky, tears streaming down your face. yunho is propped up on his elbow, laying on the side and listening. his fingers catch a fresh tear, brushing your cheek in the process. you are left completely baffled when he puts the very same fingers on his lips, tongue peeking out to lick the salty liquid.
"you poor thing." he coos, bringing his hand back to you. he removes the hair from your neck, then smiles with satisfaction once he sees your healed skin. "that's good. seems my medical techniques worked."
you scoff, putting your hair back over your neck with embarrassment. "so, uh... your wife?"
"a psycho."
"oh."
"she stabbed me. almost bled out to death if it weren't for jongho."
he says it so casually, as if it isn't a big deal. "you're still married though, right? that's why you had the ring."
"not quite. we weren't really married. it was just play pretend, so she could have half of everything i was bringing back. once i stopped, the bitch jumped me with a knife. barely made it out alive."
"then... why did you keep it?"
"to keep women away from me. well, those i didn't want."
"but you sleep with them. you use them anyway."
he frowns at the accusation. "no, no i don't. i only rob. i sleep only with prostitues, sometimes. what my companions do is none of my business. we have a deal, and i do not ask about what they do. just like they don't ask about me or what i do."
so, not all of it is true. but then again, can you really trust him?
"i'm so sorry, dove. if i knew that sick bastard would go behind my back, even after threatening them not to touch you-"
"it's fine. nothing happened." you try, seeing him get angrier with every second he spends imagining the situation you were in.
"he stole your first kiss."
"well, yes. but, what's done is done. it was barely a kiss, really. more like mouth to mouth breathing. it was like inhaling a whole onion." you say with a laugh, trying to lighten the mood. but yunho doesn't laugh. instead, he unbuttons his waistcoat, then his shirt.
"what- what are you doing?"
"well, since you showed me your bruises, and told me your story, it would only be fair that i showed you mine."
you remember the night you washed him, when you went to touch his stomach and he told you to leave. kneeling in front of him, you finally get to see why. a scar decorates his lower torso, just above the jeans and the v-line. you breathe in, ready to do something you would only in your dreams.
you lean in, hands trembling against the blanket and fingers scrunching it from the nervous state you're in. yunho shivers, feeling your lips press against his scar. you don't stop there, inspired by his own actions. you allow your tongue to graze it, and when you get another gasp from him, you take it as a sign to keep going. his hand finds its place under your chin, raising your head to that you can look at him. and he snaps.
he grabs you by your waist, pulling you up so that you sit in his lap. you don't fight back, you're enjoying it. over the layers of the dress, you feel something poking you, and it makes your cheeks heat up.
"stop looking at me like that." he whispers, lips inches away from yours.
"like what?"
"with those big eyes. like you want me to ravish you right here."
"maybe i do."
"you're saying risky things, sugar."
seeing that he doesn't intend on making the first move, you do. you close the distance, pressing your lips against his. you don't know what you're doing, but try your best. luckily, he gives in, humming into your lips and kissing you properly. his hands on your waist scrunch the fabric of your dress as he contains himself from just pushing you below him and having you his way. he needs to take it slow. you're not like others.
"relax your jaw." he mumbles, and when you do, he allows his tongue to touch your lips, as if asking for permission to enter. and you grant it, parting your lips and unsurely letting your tongue join his.
he massages your muscle with his own skilled one, rubbing it just right and making your thighs rub and seek pleasure. he kisses you slow, and deep, each stroke of his tongue more passionate than the previous one. he feels you get annoyed by something, and is forced to stop.
"what is it?"
"as much as i love your hat, it's in the way."
the man chuckles below you, immediately removing the hat and putting it on your head. "there."
"how do i look?" you adjust it, getting used to the new item.
"like a feast."
with a swift move, yunho pulls your body closer to his face, so that it is between your legs. his hands shuffle through the layers of fabric, finally finding the undergarment and pushing it aside. "what are you doing? i'm going to squish you!"
"sit."
"what?!"
"sit."
you hover above him, not yet listening. this time, he is the one to get annoyed, and puts his hands on your bottom. he slams you against his face, tongue immediately licking a stripe up your already slick folds. you gasp, hand flying to his shoulders for support.
"rock your hips, sunshine. make yourself feel good."
you do as told, rocking your hips back and forth on his tongue, soft moans and gasps leaving your mouth. you tremble in his hands, the newfound pleasure too much for you to handle. "i can't- yunho, it's too much-"
the man only sends you a mischievous look, before taking the situation into his own hands. his plush lips close around your clit, sucking it, while the tip of his tongue teases the tip of your clit. you let out a long and loud moan, body shuddering from the surge of intense pleasure.
"fuuuck-" you whine, hips hopelessly grinding against his tongue.
deciding it's enough, yunho flips you underneath him with a swift motion. "do you want to do this?"
"yes, please."
"then, i'll have to prepare you. since you asked so nicely."
he flips your dress over, exposing your wet bottom to the cool air. you shiver again, his jacket not helping much with the cold.
"this is going to hurt a little. i promise i'll be gentle."
you nod, then go back to abusing the poor blanket underneath you. you bite into it, feeling his long digits intrude your tight walls. it is unpleasant, but not that painful.
"that's a good girl. you're so wet for me, look how easily you're taking me."
he starts pumping in and out, squelching noises having you completely lose your mind and almost drool on the blanket. his fingers are long, very long. how will you survive his-?
"this good, darling?"
"yes."
"yes, what?"
"yes, sir." you moan out, hips moving along with his hand in hopes of more pleasure.
he doesn't speed up. being soft and slow seems to be his way of doing it, and it is a pace you are enjoying very much. it's not fast, like you do it. you do it to get rid of it. he does it for actual pleasure. when he removes his fingers, you can't help but whine at the loss of contact. he turns you around so that you lay on your back, facing him. his hair is a mess, much like yours, and he smiles lazily at you.
"my needy girl." he coos, pressing a kiss to your lips. "can i claim you, sweet thing?"
"what?"
"do you wish to be mine?"
do you? or is it just the horny speaking instead of you? either way, you might end up regretting. so you simply say:
"yes, sir."
"say my name, darling." he pulls himself out of his jeans, the tip of his cock running circles on your sensitive clit.
"yunho."
he hums, slipping his tip past your folds. "again."
"yunho," you gasp, feeling him inch by inch splitting you in half.
"again."
"yunho-"
"more."
"yunho," thrust, "yunho," thrust, "yunho!"
he gets lost in the feeling of your tight warm walls, hips snapping deep inside of you and driving you crazy. you get wetter by the second, even more when you see him so dizzy. it's nice to know that you have him in a chokehold as much as he has you.
"does it hurt?"
"no," you reply.
"that's because you're so perfectly made for me. look at you, you fit in the palm of my hand."
that's not true, obviously. but the way he says it makes you really feel that you could fit, and that you could stay protected there. his hips collide with yours, and your eyes roll back.
"such a pretty pussy," he growls, pace getting sloppier and slower. "wish i could do this all night long."
"me too," you moan.
his hands rip your dress apart, exposing your chest. his lips waste no time in attaching to your skin, leaving bite marks all over it, until reaching the tense nipples. he takes one in his mouth, tongue swirling around it, while his other hand plays with the other. your fingers find comfort in pulling his hair, subconsciously pushing his head into you further.
"my sweet peach," he coos, cock sliding in and out so easily, "my pretty girl."
"so sweet"
"even your moans are so beautiful"
"use me for your pleasure, darling"
you find yourself moving your hips along with his, only in a faster pace. you need to finally feel that orgasm. you feel something build up in the bottom of your stomach, and you're not sure what to do.
"yunho..."
"yes, my love?"
"i don't know how to- how to orgasm."
"you'll feel it. don't think about it. just relax, and let your body do it. let me do it."
you feel the buildup, then you lose it. again, and again, until you whine about it. yunho turns you around again, so that you are sitting on his lap. you feel him deep in your stomach, almost pulsating.
"let's try this."
he helps you up and down, rolls your hips, until he finds what works for you. you hover above him, hopelessly biting into his neck to contain your inappropriate noises. his hips snap into yours with a fast pace, finally hitting the spot you didn't know existed. the buildup starts again, this time not stopping. and when pleasure washes you over, you can't help but pull at yunho's hair mercilessly, moaning into his ear and letting yourself completely go. he helps you ride it out, waves of intense pleasure washing over you as yunho helps himself get closer.
"fuck, darling." he growls, pulling out of you.
"wait, what about you?"
"i'll just- i don't know."
his hand wraps around his cock, which is ready to unleash any moment. the man almost audibly gasps when he sees you kneel in front of him, innocently opening your mouth and sticking your tongue out. just how did you know?
"are you sure?"
"positive."
"absolutely sure?"
"yunho?"
"yes?"
"please cum in my mouth."
and it's all it takes. yunho jerks himself on your tongue, or at least tries to. some of it ends up on your face, but you so carefully try to collect every single drop he gives you. you don't miss the way his head falls back, eyes rolling and low moans escaping his pretty lips. coming down from his high with one last pump and moan, he finally looks at you. the texture on your tongue is not the most pleasant one, but you decide to impress him further, and swallow it. he scoffs in disbelief, running a hand through his hair.
"you are just perfect, aren't you?"
Tumblr media
in the morning, the ride back is much more comfortable. you still wear his hat, proudly, and his jacket. he can't help but kiss your shoulder as you ride, having it difficult enough to keep his hands off you. if only he could hold you in his pocket all day.
upon entering the town, you notice the people, your people, standing and waiting. would now be the right time to tell yunho you accept his offer?
he helps you dismount, before taking the revolver in his hand.
"what's this? a rebellion?" he says, mockingly.
"does she know?" your father asks, pointing at you.
you scrunch your eyebrows, looking between the two men. something shines in your fathers hand, and you realize he also holds a revolver.
"there is nothing to know." yunho replies, approaching him and standing in front of you. "you keep your mouth shut."
"oh, but there is. see, my little daughter, if you want to whore around, you could've picked anyone from the town. not your own mother's killer."
blood runs cold in your veins. the sun suddenly doesn't shine as bright anymore, and the man in front of you morphs into someone else. he turns around towards you, shaking his head. "no..."
"he shot her."
"you shot my father!"
"he deserved it!"
"no, the fuck he didn't!"
you step back, tears burning your eyes. did you really give yourself to the man who took your mother away from you? who also took your father away from you?
"listen-" yunho tries, hands reaching to touch you.
"don't touch me."
"he came here to finish the business. but he didn't count that he would fall for the daughter. what a clash of interests."
he doesn't deny it. and it only infuriates you more. so he did have an evil plan after all.
"you came for me, didn't you?" your father presses further, raising his revolver.
"no, i didn't." yunho replies, face changing from a guilty and sorry one to a neutral. "i came for her."
he grabs you by your shoulders, putting his hand over your mouth. you toss, scream, and whatnot, but what are you compared to his grip?
"i assume you won't care much if i took her away. but it would mean much to me. tit for tat."
"you are to never step foot into this town again. not you, not your companions."
yunho nods. and your father puts his weapon away. and it crashes your heart. you know you don't mean much to him, but to give you to an outlaw so easily?
"i came for what i wanted, not to worry. you won't see me ever again."
and just like that, you find yourself tied up and tossed over the black mare.
why did you ever wish for a life other than the one you had?
"you're all mine now, sunshine."

the interesting thing about journey to babel is that I legitimately can't tell who's having the worst day.
spock just had his parents show up to his work and embarrass him, briefly thought his dad was a murder suspect until his dad had a heart attack, and his mom said if he didn't choose his estranged father over his job then she'd never forgive him and slapped him.
kirk is trying to be diplomatic when all he wants is to smack everyone's heads together and yell PLAY NICE, and then he gets straight up stabbed and has to make decisions in a battle situation while he's in so much pain he literally can't sit straight.
mccoy gets a good childhood story about spock, but spock and sarek manage to corner him into agreeing to perform an operation he isn't trained for, and then he has to do it while losing his balance every couple of minutes, knowing that he might kill both his friend and his friend's dad if he messes up. and then his other best friend gets stabbed and he has to manage that crisis too!
sarek just saw his estranged son for the first time in years, got into a fight with another ambassador, got accused of killing said ambassador, was forced into displaying vulnerability and admitting that he lied to his wife, and then nearly died like twice.
amanda showed up wanting everyone to get along and instead her son is upset and hiding it badly, her husband is having a health emergency and hiding it badly, and she stands in the corner watching while mccoy is operating on both of them.
and okay, uhura and chekov aren't winning the "worst day ever" competition, but they're not having the best time either. the atmosphere on the bridge would be weird when your science officer is refusing to go help his sick father and your captain is literally hunched over in pain pretending he's okay to make clear-headed decisions. uhura gets yelled at when she can't find the source of the transmission soon enough for kirk's taste, and chekov -- actually, chekov gets to fire phasers this episode, and he seemed pretty pleased about it. maybe we can remove him from the list.
journey to babel is a spy drama, a medical drama, a family drama, and a murder mystery all wrapped into one. and nobody is having a good time.
edit: vote on who you think had the worst day here!

megumi's demon dogs cuddling with reader and satoru gets jealous 🤭
“you’re just doing this on purpose.”
“leave us alone, satoru. or better yet, go get us a snack. i think there’s some jerky in the pantry.”
satoru sighs and walks to the kitchen counter, where megumi is attempting to write a report. “megumi,” satoru says, his voice trying to be rough. “release them.”
megumi doesn’t even look at him. “why? they’re playing.”
“they’re stealing my wife.”
“we’re not married!” you call, and resume cooing at the dog on your lap.
“megumi, im lost without her. i might die. don’t you want to help me?”
“not really.”
satoru scoffs, leaning against the counter, on top of megumi’s papers. “i’m the reason you have them, you know.”
“i don’t use your shadows for summoning,” megumi retorts, trying to push him off.
“why not? they’re probably better than everyone else’s.”
“i don’t trust you.”
satoru remains where he is, pouting.
“satoru,” you call, from the couch, “let megumi do his homework.”
“yeah, satoru,” megumi says, pulling his hair.
“it’s papa to you.”
megumi mimes throwing up. then he pinches satoru’s ear, which is evil and who knows who taught him that? (you did).
“go away, gojo.”
“they’re probably tired,” satoru whispers. “you should give them a break.”
“don’t!” you say, laughing when one of them licks your face.
satoru watches, a devastating frown on his face.
“you’re so sweet,” you’re telling them, in a voice satoru doesn’t think he’s ever heard you use. “how’d you get so sweet?”
if satoru was a dog, his tail would probably wag at just the sound of your voice too.
he’s never wanted to hurt an animal more.
“hey,” megumi pokes satoru’s cheek. “can you move?”
“not until you give me my wife back.”
“she’s just petting them.”
“she’s neglecting me.”
“if you grow some fur, i’ll pet you too,” you tell satoru, still not paying any attention to him.
“what about my beautiful skin?”
“meh. overrated.”
“just say you hate me.”
you roll your eyes but you still haven’t looked at satoru, or smiled at him, or told him that you love him today.
how is he supposed to go on like this? the kids were trouble enough. now he has to fight two dogs?
“megumi, what if i give you—“
“i told you to stop bribing the children,” you interrupt, shaking your head. “i already told him, yes i did,” you say to the dogs, voice full of fake sympathy.
“i don’t want your money anyway.”
“how about my love and affection?”
megumi raises an eyebrow, his face far too amused for satoru’s liking.
“tsumiki would never treat me like this.”
“you can go pick her up,” you tell him. “just say that you missed her. she’ll probably be fine with you dragging her away from her friends because you’re jealous and lonely. most teenagers wouldn’t mind that.”
megumi laughs.
“i don’t deserve this.” satoru stands up, huffing at both of you, and walking down the hall towards his room. “i’m gonna find a home where im appreciated.”
you coo again. “good luck! ask them to send us some snacks.”
satoru groans, leaning against the wall.
“can we really send him away?” megumi asks you as soon as he thinks satoru is gone.
“mmm,” you pretend to think about it. “it’d be a hard sell.”
“i can make the posters.”
at that, satoru turns right around, bursting back into the room with a scoff. but before anyone can say anything, he walks over to where you are on the couch and falls on your lap.
“ugh, satoru,” you say, groaning as you adjust to his body weight on yours.
“you’re not getting rid of me that easily.”
you roll your eyes, but resume your petting—this time it’s satoru at your will, though. he basically purrs into your touch. “i knew it was too good to be true.”
“should i still make that ad or…”
satoru throws a pillow at him in retaliation and you just shake your head. but it doesn’t seem to matter who you’re petting, as long as there’s someone there.

Crimson Guardian Part2 NSFW
Tumblr media
Please check out Part One
Kyojuro Rengoku x Wife! Reader
18+ MDNI!🚫
CW: NSFW Content, minor angst, controlling/manipulating behavior, fluff-ish.
Y/N POV
Scenario: Once you agree to Kyojuro's request, you gather with Kagaya and the other Hashira to share your decision to retire early. But as you spend time with Kyojuro, you start noticing some changes in his behavior. You can't help but wonder, did you make a big mistake? He's your husband, after all. Surely, he wouldn't try to control or manipulate you. Maybe he's just worried about your safety and wants the best for you, right?
- Two Endings
A month had passed since I laid down my sword for the last time. I've spent my time at the Rengoku Estate as I had anticipated, assisting Senjuro with chores and cooking, while striving to earn Shinjuro's favor.
However, it all felt sluggish my days stretched out, feeling so unproductive.
Kyojuro was called on a mission far away, and he's been gone for almost two weeks now. I find myself overcome with loneliness, feeling hollow inside.
When I wasn't busy helping Senjuro, I often took walks and started getting into reading, though lately, I've found myself drawn to books on swordsmanship and battle techniques. It might seem pointless now, but it's all I have to occupy my mind.
Many times, I caught myself pacing around the estate, practicing fighting stances or swinging an imaginary sword, earning some strange looks from anyone nearby.
But I couldn't bring myself to share any of this with Kyojuro. I wanted him to believe I had moved on from being a demon slayer. Instead, I painted a picture of focusing on myself and preparing for the prospect of starting a family.
I've been writing to him almost every day since he left, keeping him updated on what's been happening back home and just checking in on him.
He says his mission has been successful so far, and he should be home very soon, which is good news. It's difficult to fully embrace retirement when the person you did it for isn't even here to enjoy it with you.
.
.
Today has been particularly slow. All I've done is help water the plants outside and dive deeper into my books. Shinjuro has been in his room, drinking, while Senjuro has been practicing his writing inside. And here I am, sitting under this same tree, reading the same book on breathing techniques for the past three hours...
However, my entire mood shifted the moment I heard the cawing of a crow announcing Kyojuro's return from his mission. He was finally home.
I could feel the excitement as I watched him walk through the gates of the estate, his big, bright eyes and fiery hair a welcome sight.
It didn't take long for him to spot me, as he quickly ran up and grabbed me, spinning me around in his arms.
"I've missed you so much, my little flame!" His booming voice was a comforting sound to hear in this moment.
I wrapped my arms tightly around his neck as he held me.
"I missed you so much, Kyo." It didn't take long for that hollow feeling I had earlier to finally disappear.
After he finally put me down, he pulled away to get a better look at me, scanning me up and down with his usual happy smile.
"You look so beautiful, my dear. Retirement seems to be treating you well already!"
"Oh, do you really think so?"
"Of course, sunflower. It's good to finally see you dressed casually and enjoying yourself at home. One of the main reasons my mission was such a success was because I wasn't worried about you. I knew you would be here waiting for me when I returned. I knew you would be safe."
I almost felt guilty. Since he left, I've been so bored out of my mind, stuck here at the estate, but if it’s really helping by keeping his mind at ease while he’s away I guess I don’t mind.
"How are you doing, my love? I know writing in letters can only reveal so much. Are you really okay?"
His voice softened, and his smile grew gentler. My heart raced at the sound. No matter how much time passed, I was still as in love and attracted to Kyojuro as I was the first time we met.
"Yes, I'm doing great. Senjuro and I have been quite productive lately. We even discussed setting up a small vegetable garden in the yard to reduce our trips to the village market." I forced a happy smile onto my face.
"That's wonderful news! I'm so happy you're finally making this old place your own." He then pulled me into another hug, burying me in his chest.
I couldn't bring myself to tell him the truth—that I was bored and missed the core and all my comrades and friends. They had all become so busy with work that I went from seeing them every day to never at all, so quickly.
As I relaxed into his embrace, I felt his body tense slightly. He pulled away from me slowly, his expression puzzled.
"Sunflower... what is it you're reading?"
I glanced behind me to see my book still lying on the ground, its cover exposed. It was just a book, surely not that significant.
"Oh, that's just an old breathing technique book I found in the study room. I thought it looked the most interesting out of the available options."
He looked at me for a moment, then took my hands in his, holding them tightly.
"My love, if you had told me you wanted to read, I would have gladly bought you as many books as you wanted. You don't need to waste your time sitting and reading about attacks and breathing techniques anymore." His voice was filled with concern.
Little did he know, I chose this book specifically to occupy my mind. If I couldn't fight anymore, the least I could do was read about it.
"That's sweet of you, Kyo, but honestly, I don't mind."
His smile returned somewhat, and he moved his hands to hold my shoulders, gently leading me back to the main part of the estate.
"Let's get you inside, my love. I'll tell you all about my mission!"
I allowed him to guide me back, passing Senjuro on the way.
"Go ahead, little flame. I need to have a word with Senjuro."
I observe as he starts walking toward his younger brother; they engage in conversation, and I begin to make my way indoors.
Despite my initial intention to leave, a strange hesitation washes over me. I linger by the doorframe, eavesdropping on their discussion.
Senjuro's voice reaches me first. "Welcome home, brother. How was your mission?"
"It went smoothly. I'm relieved to be back," he responds, pausing briefly.
"Senjuro, how's Y/N? Have you noticed anything unusual about her lately?" My ears perk up at the mention of my name.
"Y/N? She seems fine, I suppose. She's been quite helpful with chores around here," Senjuro replies.
"I see. Have you noticed her reading more?" he probes further.
"I think so. Though I'm not sure what she's been reading," Senjuro admits.
"I see. Please, keep an eye on her for me, Senjuro. I'm concerned," Kyojuro says, placing a hand on his brother's shoulder.
"Concerned about her reading?" Senjuro's confusion is evident.
"No, just in general."
With that, I turned away from the door, deciding it was best to stop listening in.
Why would Kyojuro worry about me? I'm safe at home, just like he wanted. Wasn't that the whole point of being here? To ease his mind?
I can feel a mix of frustration brewing inside me, and I'm not sure if it's aimed at Kyojuro or myself. I've always prided myself on my swordsmanship, setting high goals and pushing myself hard to protect others and find purpose.
But now, I can't even enjoy reading a book about what I love without making my husband worry.
I step into the kitchen, ready to get a head start on preparing dinner. Gathering the cooking utensils and spices, I realize all that's left is to chop some of the vegetables.
As I rinse them off, I notice we're short on a few key ingredients.
My garden plans with Senjuro would have been perfect right now. Looks like I'll have to make another trip to the market.
Letting out a small sigh, I tidy up and head towards the door to slip on my shoes. Honestly, I could use some fresh air. I feel guilty leaving knowing Kyojuro just got here, but I think he’d much rather dinner be super good than complain about me stepping out.
I had a stranger Lingering feeling. There's something about his smile that feels off, like there's a hidden pressure behind it. Why?
As I'm slipping on my shoes, I sense someone standing over me.
"Where are you off to, sunflower?" Kyojuro inquires.
"Just getting a head start on dinner and realized we're missing a few things. I was about to run to the market," I reply.
"Hurry back to me, my love. You know I don't like it when you're away." His warm smile could melt anyone's heart.
He plants a kiss on my cheek before heading back into the other room.
As much as I adore him and miss him, I need just a moment alone to think right now.
As I make my way to the village, I pick up some vegetables, meat, and a few other things we need for the estate. On my way back, I spot Tengen and his wives. They seem to notice me too, especially Makio, who starts waving enthusiastically in my direction.
I walk over to them, feeling happy to finally see some familiar faces. It feels like it's been ages since we last caught up.
“Y/N, it's good to see you," Tengen greets warmly.
“How have you been? We haven’t seen you in forever!” Makio cries out excitedly.
"I've been well, how are all of you?"
"We've been doing just great," he responds.
"How's, uh, retirement?" Hina asks with a half smile.
"Oh, retirement has been... great," I reply, attempting to sound convincing, though I'm not entirely sure I believe it myself.
Tengen lets out a sarcastic laugh. "Sorry, but it's just so hard to believe. You had one of the flashiest breathing styles and trained almost every day, only to retire before becoming a Hashira. I just always thought you were too stubborn to quit so early.”
Hina shoots him a quick glare.
But it's all true; Tengen and his wives have been around since before the beginning of my and Kyojuro’s relationship, training with us, going on missions, and even just hanging out together casually.
They exchange silent glances for a moment and I notice Tengen’s expression change into a more serious one.
"Y/N, Kyojuro is one of my closest friends, and it's really not my place, but... do you think maybe you decided all that just a tad too quickly?" Tengen sounds more sincere this time.
"I mean, you were on your way to becoming a Hashira yourself," Suma adds.
Taking a deep breath, I realize they're right, but I already knew that. I wasn’t the one they should be lecturing in this scenario. I never wanted to retire; I just wanted to make Kyojuro happy.
"I promise. This is a decision I've made. I want to settle down and start a family with Kyo. I wouldn’t want to risk going out on a mission and dying before having that opportunity," I assert.
Though they still seem unconvinced, Tengen puts a reassuring hand on my shoulder.
“Kyojuro's a lucky man to have someone who cares about him so much. However, I think you should stay in tune with your training for now.”
“You are still so young, Y/N! It’s always possible that once you have children, you could potentially want to come out of retirement. Maybe be a trainer for young slayers!” Makio adds with a hopeful tone.
Suddenly, my spirits lift. They were right. Just because I retire now doesn’t mean I can’t come out of retirement in a few years. As long as I keep training at home, I should be fine!
“I suppose you are all right. I will definitely keep training. I’m sure Kyo will think that’s a great idea.”
“That’s the spirit. I’m glad we got to run into you,” Tengen says with his usual smile.
“I’m glad I got to see all of you. I promise I’ll try to make an effort to come around more.”
“That sounds perfect,” Hina exclaimed.
After we exchange our goodbyes, I watch them walk off together, smiling and talking.
A wave of realization and relief washes over me. Maybe retirement didn’t have to be as bad as I was making it out to be.
.
.
Upon finally arriving back at the estate, I walked up to the entrance with a smile on my face.
I recalled there was a book in the study that taught some solo hand-to-hand combat techniques, perfect for practicing alone. I made a mental note to pick it up once I returned and start reading it after dinner.
As I entered, Senjuro greeted me with a warm smile.
“Welcome back, Y/N. I’ll finish up dinner since you went out of your way to get everything,” he offered kindly.
“Oh, you don’t have to do all that. I don’t mind,” I replied.
“I insist. You haven’t seen my brother for a while now, and I think he could use your company,” he chuckled nervously.
I hesitated for a second.
“Okay, only if you're sure,” I said, handing over the basket of food and supplies I had bought from the market.
He headed off to the kitchen, leaving me in the entryway, so I decided to make my way to our bedroom, shared by Kyojuro and me.
As I entered, I noticed he had changed out of his uniform into his more casual attire.
He looked at me with a kind smile on his face.
“I see you made it back safely,” he said, walking over to me and wrapping his arms around my waist.
He buried his face into the side of my neck, kissing it softly.
I felt myself shiver at his touch. He seemed so gentle and loving right now. I had truly missed him so much these past few weeks.
I gently ran my fingers through his fiery hair as I spoke, "I ran into Tengen and his wives at the market."
He pulled away slightly to look at me, his arms still wrapped around my waist.
"Really? Were they happy to see you?" he asked with a big smile.
"Yes, they were. We hadn't realized it had been so long since we all saw each other."
Kyojuro appeared to be deep in thought. "I suppose you're right. It has been a while since all of us got together. I should arrange for us to have dinner sometime!" he exclaimed happily.
I couldn't help but smile. "Yes, I think that would be lovely."
"What else did you all talk about? You were gone for quite some time," he inquired.
I debated telling him about their suggestion that I should consider keeping up with training and possibly coming out of retirement, but ultimately decided against it.
"Tengen was just telling me about a mission he had gone on recently. Nothing too crazy," I replied.
Kyojuro seemed satisfied with this answer. Why would I lie? I've never had any reason to lie to him before.
"That's great, sunflower. I'm happy you finally got to see some company. You seem so happy!" he remarked, his affection evident in his tone.
We lingered in each other's embrace for a few more moments until Senjuro's voice rang out, announcing that dinner was ready.
Hand in hand, we made our way to the table. Upon arrival, we found Senjuro had already set the table and prepared everything. Surprisingly, Shinjuro was already seated, wearing his usual drunken scowl, but he remained mostly silent.
As we ate, Kyojuro attempted to share details about his recent mission with his father, but received only silence and grunts in response. Despite years of trying, it seemed Kyojuro still sought his father's approval.
It felt kind of pointless to expect anything from Shinjuro. Even though I ended up spending more time with him than with Kyojuro lately, I just kept my distance. Honestly, I think he might even appreciate it.
After a few minutes of listening to Kyojuro, Shinjuro got up and was the first to leave the table, retreating to his room.
Though Kyojuro seemed disappointed, he maintained his neutral smile as he also began to wrap up his meal.
Once we had all finished eating, I stood up to collect the dishes for washing and putting away. However, Senjuro insisted on taking care of everything himself.
Feeling a bit defeated, I abandoned the task and decided to head to the study to grab that training book.
However, upon arrival, I was met with an unsettling sight. All the books were gone, every shelf completely empty...
As I made my way back to my room, confusion swirled within me like never before.
Upon entering, I found Kyojuro already preparing for sleep. His eyes brightened at the sight of me, and he gestured for me to join him under the covers of the futon.
Crawling in beside him, he enveloped me in his arms, pulling me close. With my head against his chest, I felt a sense of comfort wash over me.
"Kyojuro," I speak up.
"What is it, little flame?" He asks planting a kiss on the top of my head.
"What happened to all the books in the study?"
I sense a slight tension in his body at the question.
"I'm not sure, my love. Perhaps father had them moved. I'll make sure to get you some new books soon," he reassures me.
I stay silent, convinced by his explanation. What other reason could there be? Surely, Kyojuro doesn't attach much importance to old books collecting dust for years.
As I lay nestled in Kyo's arms, I feel the weight of exhaustion settling in. His breathing slows, It won't be long before sleep overtakes us both.
.
.
A week had passed, and the books still hadn't reappeared. I'd given up on getting a response out of Shinjuro. And it seemed that Senjuro wasn't even aware of their disappearance, which was even stranger.
So here I was again, under the same tree, rereading the same book for the third time.
Despite this, it was a beautiful day. The sky was bright and the air was refreshing. It would have been a shame not to enjoy it.
With Kyojuro gone early this morning for a hashira meeting, it's just me now, left to ponder my thoughts. I can't help but recall what Tengen and his wives said about keeping up with training.
Honestly, with my doting husband always around, their advice slipped my mind. But now, with some time to myself, I figure it's a good opportunity to get some practice in.
I don't have the exact combat training books I'd like, but I'll make do with what I remember from my days in the core.
Grabbing a wooden sword that Kyojuro and Senjuro sometimes use.
My target? A nearby tree. I start off slow, practicing basic strikes and focusing on my footwork. It's a few hours of intense concentration, but it feels amazing. I didn't realize how much I missed this, the feeling of swinging a sword, the rush of adrenaline with each move. It's like finding a piece of myself I forgot was missing.
My excitement fades as I notice a looming shadow, revealing Kyojuro standing there. Still in his uniform, he must have just returned from the meeting. His expression is stern, arms crossed in clear disapproval.
"What are you doing, Y/N?" His voice is cold, sending a shiver down my spine.
"I was just... training a bit," I reply nervously.
"Training? Training for what?" He begins to approach me, his demeanor serious.
For some reason, I instinctively start to back up as he approaches me. Before I know it, my back is against the tree I was just practicing on.
He closes the distance between us, his face inches from mine. This side of Kyojuro is unfamiliar to me; he appears downright angry.
"Why are you doing this, sunflower? You're inactive in the core, retired. There's absolutely no reason for you to pick up a sword and train again," his voice is harsh.
"I just thought that maybe if I stayed in shape and continued training a bit, perhaps in the future I could come out of retirement. Maybe even help train new slayers coming out of final selection," I suggest.
- Ending One (Positive fluff)
He gazes at me, his expression filled with confusion. “Sunflower, why would you want that? I thought the whole point of you wanting to retire was to be at home with me, to start a family together.”
Taking a deep breath, I realize I need to be honest and ip front with him now. Kyojuro is my husband, and if he truly loves me, he'll understand.
Slowly, I reach out and take his hand, bringing it up to rest against my chest.
“Kyojuro, I love you more than anything, and I want to start a family and be with you more than anything. But I also have to pursue the things that make me happy. Fighting alongside you and our friends has always been one of those things,” I explain, hoping he'll see my perspective.
His eyes soften, and I can tell he feels guilty for not considering my happiness more deeply.
"I'm still scared, Y/N. I'm scared of losing the love of my life, my wife. If you continue being a demon slayer, there will be times when I won't be able to protect you. Times when you'll be in situations where you'll have to fight to the death to defend yourself," he admits, his voice filled with worry.
He's right. There will be moments when I'll have to risk my life for the sake of others. But that's exactly why I signed up for this. That's what I want to do, with him by my side.
Gently, I lift his hand to my lips and place a kiss on his knuckles, mirroring the affection he always shows me.
"I'll fight until my last breath for a life without demons, so that hopefully someday us and our children can live the life we deserve," I declare softly.
He removes his hand from mine placing is on my cheek. His gaze loving and caring now.
“You never cease to set my heart ablaze little flame. You always make me remember that powerful spirit I fell in love with. I don’t know if I’ll ever forgive myself for being so selfish.”
It makes me feel better that he also acknowledges how he’s been acting lately. It makes me feel more validated that I wasn’t completely going crazy. And still I forgive him.
I know Kyojuro’s heart, I know how pure and kind it is, and I know he would never do anything to harm me or keep me alway from something I’m so passionate about.
He pulls me into his embrace wrapping his arms protectively around me.
“I want you to be happy my love, it was wrong of me to try and control someone as amazing as you. I will do everything I can to support and protect you. Wether it’s here at home, or out on the battle field.”
His words melt my heart.
He removes his hand from mine, placing it gently on my cheek. His gaze softens, filled with love and care.
"You never fail to ignite my heart, little flame. You always remind me of the powerful spirit I fell in love with. I don't know if I'll ever forgive myself for being so selfish," he confesses.
His acknowledgment of his recent behavior brings me some comfort. It validates my feelings and assures me that I'm not imagining things. And yet, I find it in my heart to forgive him.
I know Kyojuro's heart, its purity and kindness. I trust that he would never intentionally harm me or stand in the way of my passions.
Pulling me into his embrace, he wraps his arms protectively around me.
"I want nothing more than your happiness, my love. It was wrong of me to try to control someone as incredible as you. I'll do everything in my power to support and protect you, whether it's here at home or out on the battlefield," he promises.
This was the man I fell in love with, the man I vowed to spend my dying days with. I’m certain that I made the right decision.
.

- Ending Two (Angsty Smut)
He shakes his head. "No. No way. If you're going to stay retired, then you need to stay retired. That was the deal. I won't risk losing you. You're far too precious to me." His tone is softer now, but still firm.
"But why can't I just practice for a bit?"
"Because this isn't what you want. You don't actually want this. It's not your passion. This is only because of your past life." He's more serious than ever.
"What's so wrong with me wanting to stay sharp?"
"You're supposed to be focusing on your future and your new life with me! And you can't do that if you keep holding onto your past. It's not a part of who you are anymore."
His words strike me. Was it so bad that I wanted to practice and maybe eventually come back?
"This is the last thing we're going to discuss. As a Hashira, I have the authority to confiscate your weapon, so hand it over. From this point forward, I will not tolerate you engaging in anything remotely related to demon slaying."
I reluctantly hand over my wooden sword. My heart drops, and tears begin to well up in my eyes.
"Y/N. I'm sorry, my love, but this is for the best. It's only because I love you." His voice softens, his expression more forgiving.
I'm filled with anger. Why is he acting like this? Why doesn't he want to fight alongside me anymore? Balancing our relationship and our profession is tough, but plenty of people make it work.
Why does he seem to think it's impossible for me to fight? I am strong. I've always been strong.
His thumb brushes away a tear from my eye as I lift my head to look at him.
This time, his expression changes.
He leans in close to my ear and whispers, "If you won't listen to me, I'll just have to give you a reason to stay off your feet."
A shiver runs down my spine as his lips meet mine, his hands holding my hips firmly in place.
Before I know it, he's lifting me over his shoulder and carrying me back into the estate.
“Kyo, put me down! Let's just talk!” I protest, trying to wriggle out of his grasp.
He takes me to our bedroom and pins me down on the futon.
“There’s nothing more to say, sunflower. If I can't keep you from fighting anymore, maybe having a child will,” he says, his voice tinged with desire.
I open my mouth to speak, but his lips on mine cut me off. His tongue pushes its way inside, making its way around my mouth.
I try to pull away, but his hands hold my head in place, and the taste of his mouth is overwhelming.
When he finally pulls away, I'm breathless.
He leans in, kissing and biting at my neck. His hands move down my body, grabbing and squeezing my breasts and my waist.
I let out a small whimper as he sucks and bites at my skin.
Suddenly, I feel his fingers brush against my entrance through my clothes.
He pulls away to look at me. "Already so wet for me, and we've barely done anything. Were you doing all of this to make me angry on purpose?”
My face burns with embarrassment, but I can't help but crave his touch.
He grabs my hands and pins them above my head, staring into my eyes with a mischievous smile.
"You want this, don't you, sunflower?" He asks as his free hand caresses my face.
I nod desperately, my voice barely above a whisper.
"Then beg for it," he commands, his loving voice contested his actions.
"Please, Kyo, please I need it. I need you."
He releases his grip on my wrists and moves to undo his pants.
"There’s my little flame."
He lines himself up with my entrance, slowly pushing himself inside.
I try not to tense, feeling my walls stretch to accommodate him.
He lets out a low groan, his warm breath tickling my ear.
He waits for a moment before beginning to thrust into me, each movement deeper than the last.
I gasp and moan beneath him, gripping his shoulders.
He lets out a groan as he bottoms out.
"Mine," he whispers before placing a kiss on my forehead.
I wrap my legs around his waist, pulling him closer.
He begins to move again, thrusting harder and faster. I'm filled with so much pleasure that I'm seeing stars.
I can feel myself getting closer to the edge, but just before I can finish, he stops.
"Kyo, please, I need it." I whine.
"Not yet, my love.” he replies, his voice heavy with lust.
He pulls out of me, leaving me feeling empty and unsatisfied.
He flips me over and pushes my head into the pillow, my ass now in the air.
"Don't worry, little flame, I'm not finished with you just yet."
He enters me again, gripping my hips tightly as he pounds into me from behind.
"I can't wait to have you pregnant. You're going to look so beautiful."
He reaches a hand around to rub my clit, bringing me even closer to my peak.
I try to hold back my moans and he touches me. His words only make me feel hotter.
I can feel myself getting closer once again, and he seems to notice as well.
"Do you want to finish, my love?"
"Yes, yes please," I beg.
He increases the speed of his thrusts, hitting all the right spots inside of me.
I can feel myself approaching the edge again, and he continues to push me towards it.
"I'm going to fill you up, my love. Make you mine.”
His thrusts grow more erratic as he reaches his peak, releasing deep inside of me.
I collapse onto the futon , completely exhausted.
Kyojuro rolls off me and lays beside me, pulling me into his chest. I cuddled into him.
"We're going to be so happy, Y/N. Just you, me, and our child. Everything is going to be perfect," he reassures me, running his fingers through my hair.
I'm too tired to respond, so I just listen to the sound of his heartbeat and his breathing.
"I love you, sunflower. No matter what, you're mine.”
Sorry this one took me so long to get out, I hope you all enjoyed it! I’d love to hear your feedback!

I love your Daemon works and I love some angst too. Would you be willing to write a continuation to "Can't scape me" where Daemon meets the girl from his past again and she's unmarried, but trained like Arya Stark and became wealthy and famous in Essos and Dorne because of her prowess and instead of being sad she's like "Wow, I dodged a bullet. Could've ended up as a sad little wife in King's Landing while my husband partied with prostitutes, but instead I'm independent and happy." I would love to see Daemon's reaction to that, especially if she refuses to fight for team Black or team Green because she knows it's suicide and just goes her merry way and watches house Targaryen implode while eating dates on her Essossi villa 😅. Feel free to ignore it if it's too specific I just love Daemon, but also love to kick him a bit too much 😅.
i escaped you (can't escape me pt. 2)
pairing: daemon targaryen x fem!reader
synopsis: daemon comes to you after the events of harrenhal, seeking help.
warnings: angst, cussing/adult language, mentions of sexual relations
wc: 1,018
a/n: gagged daemon fr
part 1 here
it had been a long time since you'd seen daemon targaryen. heard of though is a different story. rumors spread like wildfire so of course you'd heard about how his life seemed to be going to shit. first wife dead, second also dead, and third might soon join them if she didn't play her cards right. people like daemon seem to bring suffer wherever they go but you've come a long way from the orphaned girl of king's landing that once was his.
at seventeen you boarded a ship to essos and never looked back. after your failed marriage to daemon you refused to live that kind of life with anyone in king's landing. having no family to care where you went and did, no one seemed to notice your disappearance. thinking about what your life could have been used to pain you. now you realize that most of the girls who were once like you are miserable and resentful as they married lords who would rather frequent the whore house than warm their own bed.
essos had served you good the first couple of years. of course you had to work twice as hard to prove your worth as a woman but with the help of an older gentleman who had taken you in, the art of swordsmanship became your most outstanding feature. it all started when he caught you stealing.
you didn't realize that when you actually did land in essos you'd have to learn how to make a life for yourself. stealing seemed like the easiest option but you were grateful the blacksmith that caught you also didn't cut off your hand. yet after his passing, you realized there was nothing left to do but go and show off your talent.
travels were made through pentos, dorne, and braavos competing in local tourneys and building a name for yourself. you had earned yourself the name "the cruel dread" as you were merciless and often left your opponents begging for their life. it was safe to say that the life you had created was better than the one that could've been.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
it was a cloudly day in pentos. an odd occurrence from the constant rays of sunshine that frequented the skies. you sat on your balcony, eating dates, and reading the latest news of westeros. suddenly a knock came crashing down on your door, disrupting your peace.
you set your book down and approached the door. upon arrival you opened it only to be met with your most trusted knight, ser quincy.
"my lady," he spoke.
"what may be the problem, ser quincy?" your arms crossed and eyebrows raised exuded the fact that you were annoyed at his disruption.
"you have a vistor."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
as you walked down the steps of your villa, you recognized the familiar face waiting for you.
"my lady, i present to you king consort daemon tar-" you were quick to cut quincy off.
"i know who he is," you stood eyeing daemon then turned to your knights, "you may be excused," but daemon's did not budge, "you too," you urged them.
"i'll be alright, go on," he told his knights.
as they left the room, no words were spoken between the two of you. how dare daemon show up in your house after everything that had gone down since then?
"y/n-"
"what is it that you could possibly want?" you cut him off.
"y/n, i just want to say how sorry i am for how things went down last time i saw you. i never meant to hurt you," daemon moved closer to you.
"you are twenty years too late, daemon. i have moved on with my life as have you. there is no need to come all the way here and issue me a formal apology," your voice firm unlike his.
"if i could but request your time, i have something would like to discuss with you,"
you scoffed and looked away, "you are not welcome here, daemon. i know exactly what is it is you're going to ask me for and my answer is no," you started to walk away but he rushed to block your path.
"daemon-" his hands gripped your arms in an attempt to get you to look at him.
"why are you so quick to reject me? i have not forgotten the love we used to have for each other..." his voice was calmer, softer than before.
"keyword is 'used to' daemon," you sighed, "look, i don't know what you have roped yourself into this time but my answer remains," you looked into his eyes.
"is this because of rhaenyra?" he asked.
you knew that this was his attempt in trying to rile you up. scoffing you pushed his arms off you, "this has nothing to do with rhaenyra, daemon but this has everything to do with you."
"you've become quite the skilled warrior, y/n...why not put those efforts into some real exercise instead of bullshit tourneys!" he yelled.
"because daemon! when you left, those tourneys were all i had! to make a name for myself!" your chest heaved as his attempt to push you over the edge finally worked, "you have no idea what its like...to lose everything...to lose everyone. at least when you return back to dragonstone you'll have your wife and your children," you had tears in your waterline and daemon tried stepping closer to console you but you merely pushed him away.
"we could have had that, y/n..." he spoke quietly.
"but we didn't," you wiped your tears, "now you must leave before i call my knights. i don't want unnecessary bloodshed," you spoke.
daemon's face showed pure agony. did he really think things would be this easy? he might have been feeling disappointed but he made you this way. knowing he'll probably go back and tell everyone how the most skilled fighter in essos was just a "heartless cunt" angered you but if you were to show it then he'd be served right. the only thing you could do was sit back, and watch house targaryen burn.

Man, this Bunker really does have everything about everything. This small library has vast knowledge about virtually every single monster there is and has ever been. Some of them are extinct but it’s still good to know about them just in case. You’ve come to learn that anything can happen in the hunting life.
You flip through the pages of a lore book about Egyptian Gods and Goddesses when you come across one that makes your heart soar and a smile spreads across your face. You run your finger delicately down the page and stare at the Goddess trapped inside the book.
“Hi, mom,” you whisper.
Your mother is Hathor, the Egyptian Goddess of fertility, love, beauty, and pleasure. She is the protector of women, and she does a helluva job of it. You’re a demigoddess with only half of her powers, but you’re still like her in so many ways. Not only are you immortal, but you have the power to fight well in any hand-to-hand combat, mental manipulation, and mental torture. Your mother does it a lot better than you can, but you’ve done a good job at practicing over the centuries.
She offered you a place by her side in Egypt where she currently resides but you wanted to see the world and explore it on your own. You wanted to make your own adventures instead of being the shadow in hers. It’s a damn good thing you listened to your gut because you wouldn’t have met Sam and Winchester otherwise.
The first thing you did when you came to the United States was save a woman from being attacked by a man. This man wasn’t to exert his power over her by forcing her into doing things she didn’t want to do, and you put an end to it immediately. She got her revenge just like the thousands of other women you’ve saved from having the same fate. Saving women and torturing men has gotten you this far in life and you don’t plan on stopping, not within the next few centuries, at least.
The biggest thing you gained from your Mother is the power of fertility. You can’t count how many women you’ve come across who want to have children but can’t. They don’t know how it happens, but they wake up one day and realize they’re pregnant. Your powers have only been used for good and you don’t plan on stopping any time soon.
You just love bringing life into the world just like your mom.
The bar was in full swing, and you’re at the bar sipping your drink and watching everyone. You never know when someone is going to need you. There was a couple at the dart boards who were arguing over the point system. You kept an eye on them just in case you might need to jump in.
The bell above the front door rang as two people walked in. The shorter of the two made eye contact with you and it was as if time stopped. Because your mother is the Goddess of Beauty, you’re naturally flawless. Even if you’re not someone’s type, you’re beautiful to them.
“Drinking alone?” he asked when he approached you.
“Not if you sit down and drink with me,” you flirted.
“Sammy, be somewhere else,” the man said and sat next to you. The taller one rolled his eyes and left the bar counter. “I’m Dean.”
“Y/N. Sammy your brother?”
“Yeah.”
“Younger or older?”
“What do you think?”
“I think you’re older. You have that energy about you, which means you’re just my type. I like them older.”
You were not about to tell him that you were centuries older than him.
You and Dean hit it off that night and not because he took you back to his room. That night also was the night you learned they are hunters. You saw the weapons in their bags and made a deduction paired with the fact that he had an Anti-Posession Tattoo on his chest. There was no time beating around the bush so you told both of them who you were, who your mother is, and the fact that you’re immortal. Dean didn’t care so that’s how you started seeing the eldest Winchester.
You’re not a hunter. You have no desire to be a hunter. You just help people where you can but instead of monsters, it’s humans. After a few years of being with them, you made both of them immortal per their request. You don’t make anyone immortal without their consent, and the brothers had plenty of time to think if they wanted this or not. You have the ability to take it away, but the years will catch up to the person immediately. That usually means death.
Still, you’re happy with the family you’ve made and wouldn’t trade it for the world.
You close the book on Egyptian Gods and Goddesses before getting up. You place a hand on your swollen belly and pat the area where you know your child can feel it. Once he gets old enough, he’ll be able to choose if he wants to be immortal or not. After he turns eighteen, of course, and you’d do it for him.
You’re wearing one of Dean’s shirts since they are so comfortable so when he sees you enter the kitchen, he grins. He even has your favorite flowers on display on the table. Such a gentleman.
“Damn, just when I think you can’t get more beautiful, you walk in wearing that.”
“Good morning to you, too,” you greet. He kisses you quickly and bends down to kiss your stomach. “I want to take a trip with you.”
“Where?”
“I want you to meet my mother.”
“You want me to meet an Egyptian Goddess?”
“Yeah. She’s really sweet. I think you’d love her, and I know she’d love you.”
“I guess that’ll be okay.”
“We have to fly there. She’s in Egypt, naturally.”
“Shouldn’t be a problem,” he says in a quiet voice.
“Are you sure? I know you hate flying.” He nods without saying anything, and you grab his face so he’s forced to look at you. “I can ask her to come here, but I don’t think she’ll take well to leaving Egypt. She has her own business that she won’t part from.”
“I’ll be okay.”
You lean up and kiss him quickly.
“I’d like to go before I get too pregnant to fly.”
The gears in Dean’s head turn as he thinks of a solution that will benefit you both.
“Why don’t we visit her until after the baby is born? That way she can meet him, too.”
“You just don’t want to fly. You’re pushing this as far as you can, aren’t you?” you chuckle.
“Sweetheart, I can’t help it. They’re dangerous.”
“You’re a big baby, you know that?”
You leave his side and sit down at the kitchen table so he can finish cooking in peace.
“I promise we can go after he is born. I really would love to meet the woman who made you.”
“Maybe afterward, we can meet your mom!” you gasp. “I can get us into Heaven. I know a God.”
“One parent at a time,” Dean chuckles and plates the food.

The Last Time || Aaron Hotchner
Summary: Request - Hotch x reader fic based on the last time by taylor swift and gary lightbody
A/N: I just love a good angst to comfort. Thanks so much for the request anon! I had a good time writing this :) Let me know your thoughts!
Pairing: Aaron Hotchner x Y/N
Word Count: 2.6k+
Tumblr media
“Hey A.” You grinned leaning up on your tip toes to kiss your husband on the cheek. You noticed the small breath he let out before putting on a façade, a smile on his face.
“Hi sweetheart.” He pulled you in without much thought. Smelling the top of your head you instinctually melted into him. You knew how hard his job was. The horror of the cases he saw on a daily basis. Choosing which serial killers, he and his team went after and which ones they had to ignore, for now. You knew how he felt like he played God with people’s lives. How heavy those decisions weighed on him.
When you pulled away you studied his face. He looked utterly exhausted. When was the last time he’d taken even a day away from the office? You knew it usually didn’t lead to anything good, so you’d shut up about it, “How was your day babe? Jack aced his math test, took him out for some ice cream.”
He scrunched his eyebrows together, “He had a math test?”
You nodded hiding the disappointment of his increasing absence over the last few months. The BAU seemingly taking over his entire life, “Pre-algebra. He’s been studying all week.” You didn’t want to make him feel worse, but you didn’t want to lie either. Jack had been studying. Vying for his father’s attention which seemed to be entirely elsewhere.
A curt nod. One you were sure was reserved usually for the team, “Thanks for letting me know.”
You sighed, tired of his absence, “Yeah, sure.” Breaking from his embrace you walked over to the fridge not having a plan in mind but not really wanting to be around him.
“You’re mad.” He stated sitting down at the barstool underneath the kitchen island.
Closing the refrigerator door, you looked at him with your eyebrows raised, “You’re good at your job Aaron.” Placing an emphasis on the word job you crossed your arms over your chest careful to keep your voice down. You’d just gotten Rosie, your toddler, down for sleep and God forbid Jack here a nasty spat between his parents.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” He stood from the barstool making his way toward your slowly.
You shrugged, not really wanting to pick a fight right now. He was home now, you wanted his time not an argument when he was home, “You’re a profiler, figure it out. I’m tired A. Can we just watch a show and order some takeout?” You tried to change the conversation away from the looming fight and into a calmer one.
His eyebrows scrunched together further. Something was wrong. You were acting weird. When was the last time he’d even talked to his you, his wife he adored more than the world? Sure, he knew he’d gotten caught up at work over the last few months, but he might not have realized just how severely he’d been absent from your lives.
“We’ll talk about this in the morning. But for now, that sounds perfect honey.” He smiled letting you lead the way.
But of course, his fucking work phone had to ring. You shuddered hearing the infamous, “This is Hotchner.” After two damn rings. It was like his body was on autopilot.
You sat down on the couch praying that he wouldn’t be leaving. You didn’t even get a night anymore?
“That was Strauss. Emergency case in New York…” He trailed off seeing your distant gaze. One that wasn’t even sad. Wasn’t anything, neutral. Terrifyingly neutral.
Blinking a few times, you looked back up to him, “Do you have to go?” It was a long shot, but one, nonetheless.
He nodded, “I’m sorry honey… I should be back soon.” Even he cringed hearing how indecisive that was.
“When’s soon? Jack has that soccer game on Sunday. You promised you’d be there. This was your weekend off.” You knew how badly you were hurting him, but you just couldn’t find it in you to really give a damn any further. Jack had begged his dad to be there. He’d made the seventh-grade soccer team and wanted his dad at the first game. The odds were slipping away rapidly.
He sighed looking away, “I’ll try honey. Really, I will. But I can’t make any promises, you know that that.”
You gave him a dry laugh, tired. So tired of him choosing the job over you guys. Did you even matter anymore?
“Be sure to make it home, case solved or not Aaron. It’s not that fucking hard.” You rarely cussed in front of him knowing it set a bad tone for the kids, but they weren’t here, and you were at your wits end. He wasn’t listening to you. So, you had to pull out the big boy words. Words that caught his attention.
He cocked his head to the side in surprise. He was looking at you curiously, profiling you surely, “Now sweetheart, you know that
You squinted your eyes feeling the frustration bubble up on over, “Don’t patronize me right now Aaron. We’re tired of you never fucking being here.”
He frowned taking a step forward, “Just let me get through this case and we can talk about it. Yeah?” He tried reasoning. But you weren’t having it, not anymore.
You shook your head, “What happens when Strauss calls again Aaron? Are you going to keep picking her over your wife and fucking kids? Does your daughter even know what her dad even looks like anymore? I don’t think she does.” You spit out with venom in your voice knowing that was an extremely low blow
“Y/N.” He bit back before stopping himself, “You know this is important…”
You cut him off, “More important than me? Rosie? Jack?” You knew a tear had slipped down your cheek, how dramatic.
“Honey, I have to go.”
You couldn’t believe he was going, running, “This is the last time Aaron. I swear to God if you walk through that door…”
He cut you off this time, “I have to. We’ll talk when I’m back.”
You watched in horror as he grabbed that damn bag and walked out the door murmuring a soft ‘I love you’ before vanishing. You had to do something to get his attention because this wasn’t doing it anymore. You texted your mom, asking her to take the kids for the weekend as you needed to go see Allie, your best friend who lived a few hours downstate. She’d agreed no questions asked. Then you were off. You’d dropped the two kids off the next morning at your parents place before hightailing it down to Allie’s.
When you got there she helped you craft a message to your husband. She and her husband had gone through a similar rough patch not that long ago and you could use her help. So why not use it?
‘Hey, A. Kids, are at my mom’s. I’m at Allie’s for the next few days. I’ll be back in time for Jack’s game on Sunday. Need some time away to think about things.’
You’d sent out before waiting for a response. But Allie wouldn’t let you wallow. She took you out making you leave that damn phone at home. You knew you’d be getting chewed out for that later, something about how unsafe that decision could be.
When you’d gotten back to Allie’s home tipsier than you’d care to admit you went straight for your phone. 13 missed calls and five texts. You cringed before opening your phone and reading the string he sent.
‘Please answer the phone.’
‘Why are you at Allie’s? Please just answer the phone.’
‘I’m on my way home. Please call me back, are you alright?’
‘Dammit, please Y/N. You can’t do this to me. I messed up alright. Please just call me. Or text me. Something. I love you.’
‘I love you.’
You shook your head letting a few tears fall freely reading through them. You’d begged him to stay, and he left. Now that you wanted space he was coming to talk? You felt your hands shaking thinking of something to say back to him, your husband. You felt so detached from him, why were you so nervous?
‘I’m fine. Just went out and the phone died. Please don’t come. I need space. Please.’
You wanted to set your phone down, but he replied almost instantly.
‘I’m almost there.’
He wasn’t giving you an option.
‘How? I’m downstate. Go back with your team. They need you or something.’
You were picking a fight and you knew it. You were tipsy and tired and pissed off at your absent husband. The love was always there it was just laying low right now. A caged animal crying to be let out.
‘Flew into another airport. I’ll be there in five.’
You groaned deciding to call him instead. You didn’t want to see him. Afraid you might say something you may regret. You’d gotten exactly what you wanted, his attention. You’d never done something so drastic. But then again, you never had to do anything so drastic before.
Before he could speak when he answered you started talking, “Please don’t come Aaron. I just want to be with my best friend right now.” You knew how little your voice sounded. So distant from the person you always were.
A still silence and his driving vehicle is all you could here before he responded, “I shouldn’t have left. I’m sorry. Please Y/N. We can talk. I need to talk to you. I can’t lose you.” He spit out. You knew that was a big fear of his, after what happened to Haley. Jack now only realized what happened to his biological mom who loved him more than life itself. You couldn’t fathom carrying that around with you.
You had to give in. That soft voice let you know he was actually going through it, “You could never lose me Aaron. I just needed advice and some comfort. My mom didn’t have a problem watching the kids, you know it’s a treat for her.”
“I know.” Aaron sighed as he pulled into the driveway right next to your car. He knew exactly where she lived, he’d visited a fair share of times with you, “I’m here honey.”
You felt your heart rate quicken, “I’ll be right out.” You called out to Allie letting her know what the hell was happening. The one thing you loved and hated about the man. He was relentless. Wouldn’t take no for an answer.
Walking out a few steps far enough away from the house so that Allie and her husband couldn’t here you watched as Aaron spotted you and made his way right towards you. Gently, he placed his calloused hands on your shoulders pulling you into himself tightly. He brushed the back of your head with his hand while he held your body tightly into his.
“I’m so sorry sweetheart. I don’t…” he paused collecting his thoughts, “I don’t know what I was thinking, I can’t lose you.” At that he gripped you just a little tighter. Calming his nerves you squeezed him back, not nearly as aggressively but a reassurance for his racing mind you knew so well.
When you pulled away you looked up to him with teary eyes, “You stopped listening. Jack’s been all but begging you on his knees for you to pay attention. Rosie asked where you were yesterday Aaron. We miss you. We need you back. I can’t do this alone either. It feels like I have been for the last few months.” You let the tears fall and the damn burst open. You let yourself feel every pent-up emotion, every frustration as you cried.
He pulled you back into his embrace with a frown on his face, “I’m so sorry honey.” He squeezed you tightly while you let the tears flow free. It felt good to have let them out, let pent up emotions you’d been holding back go.
“Just listen.” You mumbled into his chest letting yourself have the breakdown you’d needed.
He squeezed you once more letting you know he’d heard you, loud and clear, “I will. I’m so sorry you had to do this. That I made you feel this way. I just want the promotion so bad that… that I feel like telling Strauss no will hinder it. But I’ll talk to her. I promise. For you. For Jack and Rosie.” He kissed the crown of your head feeling that overwhelming feeling of dread pool in his stomach. He’d done this. He was the reason for your tears. He’d neglected you., the kids.
“I can’t beg you anymore Aaron.” You whispered after the sobs had long since died down and the tears were slow to come, “This is the last time.”
He nodded seeing the seriousness in your eyes, the hurt you’d usually hidden so well, “I hear you.” He brushed a gentle finger over your forehead as he looked over you. He then ran his thumb beneath your eyes collecting the stray tears that were lingering on your skin, “I’m so sorry I did this to you.”
The intensity of his gaze was hard to hold. He was everything and more to you. A sweet crush turned passionate romance that led to where you were today, ten years and a kid later. You knew what you signed up for when you got married but this was on another level. Being single when you’re married is one of the loneliest things you’d gone through. Especially when you’d practically begged for his attention for weeks now. You’d given him one last shot with a Hail Mary attempt, and he’d caught it. You’d never been so unsure of decision before, always being so sure with him. Nobody was perfect, you knew that. But you needed him to see. Thank goodness he did.
When you didn’t respond but instead hugged him he let you do as you needed. Whatever comfort you needed he was willing to provide. But after five minutes of holding each other he needed to break the silence. You certainly weren’t going to.
“Let’s go home? Kids can stay at your moms. Let’s have a day to ourselves tomorrow. Sleep in, make you breakfast and do something fun. How’s that sound?” He asked you softly, continuing to rock you in his arms.
“Yeah, that sounds lovely.” You yawned feeling the late night and the emotions of the day taking its toll on you.
“Then we can pick the kids up on Sunday, take them to breakfast and go to Jack’s soccer game. That sound okay sweetheart?”
You nodded in his chest feeling the warmth spread over you. He was listening. He was going to do what he said he was going to. This was Aaron Hotchner after all, “That sounds perfect A.” You felt okay, content. It was going to be alright. Just a little rough patch is all.
He smiled down at you, “Let’s get you home then, go grab your things and tell Allie I said I’m sorry too.”
You let go of his torso looking at both cars in the driveway, “We have two cars.” You sighed not feeling up for the drive home. It was already pushing eleven o’clock.
He shrugged, “It’s a rental. I’ll have the somebody from the FBI come get it tomorrow.” He pointed to the car he’d drove in on.
You shook your head, “There are some perks to that job of yours.”
He nodded leaning down to give you a quick kiss on the lips, “That there is. Now, let’s get you home. I have some making up to do.” He shot you a wink before pushing you gently in the direction of your best friend’s house.
You turned around with a brilliant smile on your face nodding rapidly, “That you do Hotchner, that you do.” You rushed back inside careful not to let him get the last word in. It certainly was going to be alright.

Let You Break My Heart Again (Part 2)
Paring: Miles Morales x fem!reader
Summary: Your attempts to avoid Miles have worked. Until it’s time for his dad’s promotion party. That’s it lowkey. The next part will have more I promise. This is also at the beginning of ATSV so you’ve been warned.
Category: Not sad but not happy??
A/n: im soryr im so tired and I wasn’t even planning on writing another part but I felt badly. Also ik think chapter isnt as good as the first but I’ve rewritten in three thousand times and have two drafts. This is the one I like more.
Tumblr media
No matter how upset you were, no matter hard you tried to ignore Miles; there was no getting out of this. You had to go to Miles’ dad’s promotion party. Worst case scenario, you saw Miles and he tried to talk to you again. Best case scenario, you don’t see him and get free pizza from the party.
Either way, you were going. After all, you were mad at Miles. Not his dad.
So that was how you found yourself here, on the roof that was filled with people you didn’t know, trying to fit as much free food onto your plate while simultaneously trying to avoid eye contact with anyone who might start a conversation.
Unfortunately, you were unsuccessful in your attempts. Mrs. Morales soon approached you, just as you were stuffing your face with one of the cookies from your plate.
“I know the cookies are good, but please don’t choke,” Mrs. Morales says, smiling softly.
“Mhsis Mowawwes,” you swallow the cookie before trying again. “Mrs. Morales! This party is wonderful, and so are the cookies, obviously.”
“Thank you, I bought them myself,” she chuckles. “Have you seen Miles anywhere? He was supposed to be here ten minutes ago. He has the cake.”
“The cake? That’s the most important part of a party. No I haven’t seen him, sorry.”
She sighs, “that’s okay. That boy is always late to everything. I need to start telling him to get there twenty minutes before they actually start, then maybe he’d be on time.”
“Maybe you’ll only have to tell him to get there,” you check your watch, “thirteen minutes before it starts. He’s walking in right now.”
“Ugh, y/n you’re a lifesaver! I’m going to talk some sense into that boy,” she says while heading in his direction.
“Yep,” you mumble to yourself before eating another cookie and finding a quieter corner that you could sit in.
Your peacefulness didn’t last long, as after the fight Miles had with his parents, they went to find you.
“Y/n! Just the person we needed!” Mr. Davis said as they approached you.
“We were wondering if you would go talk to Miles. I’m sure you heard what happened earlier,” Mrs. Morales said.
“It was kind of hard not to,” Mr. Davis mumbled.
Ignoring her husband, she continued, “We really think something is bothering him, and he won’t talk to us. So maybe he would talk to you?”
“Oh I don’t really know, he didn’t really seem in the mood to talk to anyone,” you reply awkwardly, trying to get out of the conversation. The aforementioned worst case scenario was upon you.
“Please? It would double as my promotion present; as you didn’t get me one,” Mr. David said, confrontationally.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t know I had to get you one,” you replied, panicked.
“I’ll only forgive you if you go talk to Miles,” he says sweetly before his wife turns him around and harshly whispers to him. Something about “manipulating” and “poor girl,” while you just sat there confused.
Finally when they turned back toward you, you told them you would do it.
“Thank you so much y/n,” Mrs. Morales says while ushering you towards the exit of the roof.
“Yes, thank you. The door should be unlocked. But if it isn’t, there’s a spare key under the mat,” Mr. Davis says as you reach the exit.
“That’s not very safe,” you reply, a little unnerved. You have to talk to Miles about that later. Maybe. If you felt like it.
“Oh please! I’m not the police chief yet, I can still be a little crazy now and then. Plus I change up the spot every other year, so we should be fine,” he says, ushering you out the door.
“Thanks again!” They say in unison, just before the door closes. You sigh before making your way down the many stairs, to the apartment.
Sure enough, the door is unlocked. But just to make sure he wasn’t joking, you checked under the mat and found the key. Huffing, you stand back up and make your way into the apartment towards Miles’ room.
“Miles! We need to talk about a few things. Starting with your dad’s key placement…” you trail off after opening the door to Miles’ room to see him and Gwen looking at his shelf full of his ‘action figures.’ This was the worser case scenario. Worster? Worsest? It doesn’t matter. This was bad.

Carmilla Carmine with gf that was separated before they got married in life, reunite in death bc her gf was trying to steal some weapons and they fight but don’t recognize each other until one of them says something that’s an inside joke then they’re reunited and fluff ensues
Ohhh, yes! I love this. Also, I have read all the wiki's and done my research, so if something is not right....I'm sorry
* sfw, fluff, with a tiny hint of nsfw *
**
"You're foolish, you know that?" Carmilla spat at the hooded intruder holding double blades. She came by to do a routine check around the place until she noticed this woman, prying one of the boxes open, trying to steal her guns.
Not only did they get in which, kinda surprised her. But they were still standing against her, her. The most powerful overlord in the pride ring.
"No hard feelings, tall lady. I just like taking a 100 percent off discount on my stuff, " the woman said, flipping the blades in her hands as she stepped back a bit. The light's above showing her cocky grin
Camilla groaned as she started getting annoyed since it was making her remember her past life. She could only stand one person like this. But that was....years ago. But not now. She's not letting someone steal her work without a price or a limb going undone...
"Well, that's not going to happen," Carmilla said as she dashed forward, stepping side to side as she kept her eyes on the hooded woman. watching her closely as she was doing the same. Carmilla manged to get behind as the two of them began they're battle
The hooded woman managed to keep her ground as she blocked off Carmilla's kicks off her by hitting the blades at the angelic armor, Carmilla hummed as she fell to the ground kicking the woman off her feet, the woman yelped out in pain at the aching pain in her ankles and lower legs
Carmilla then zipped back up, grabbing the smaller woman by her neck and knocking the blades out of her hand. The hooded woman grabbed her wrist and tried to pull her hand away but to no avail as Carmilla tightened her grip around the woman's neck
"Heh- ah....guess I lost my way to woman with long legs..." the woman said with a choked chuckle, Carmilla then stopped choking the woman for a moment, a gasp escaping her lips as...
**
"I know my way with long-legged woman, don't I, Cammy?"
**
"Y/n?" Carmilla questioned as she pinched the woman's hood, hoping it was her wife. They had been separated when she died, but has she finally come back to her. Carmilla pulled the hood up to see they're face but, a new look and everything but still. That's the woman she married long ago and loved for years, even after death
"Cammy? Is that...holy shit ha ha... how did you get more beautiful? and taller, too!" You said with tears forming in your eyes as Carmilla's was the same. Soon, she wrapped her arm around your back and let go of your neck only to hold your face as she pulled you in for a kiss.
Both your lips connected with a smile as you wrapped your arms around her tightly. Both of you then let go, only for you to start giving her cheek kisses.
"My god! How did you get taller while I stayed the same height?" You asked with a chuckle as Carmilla held you in her arms since she kicked the spirt out of your ankles.
"Mi amor, how I have missed you. Didn't expect us to be reunited with a fight, " Carmilla joked as she creased your face gently. You blushed as you held her hand and gave her a heartwarming smile you knew she loved.
"Hey, love works in mysterious ways, does it not?" You said smiling at her as she held you close, after all these years. She'd finally found you, death might have part you both in the living world, but now you both have another life to live out your love in.
**
Sorry if it was short. But I hope it was good

Another Perspective
Episode one
“Text”: regular talking
‘Text’: regular thinking
“Text”: Saiki talking telepathically
‘Text’: Saiki thinking
ATTENTION! You might want to rewatch episode one of The Disastrous Life of Saiki K before reading.
Summary: Episode 1 in L/N Y/N’s perspective.
Tumblr media
It was a very normal day for Y/N L/N, school felt like forever and the only thing that got them through the day was the promise of an after school nap, they were now walking home to take said nap. Y/N was actually in a good mood when walking home, the weather was nice and cool and they knew they had cold water waiting for them in the fridge, the neighborhood was quiet, the perfect conditions for a nap.
They were in a great mood all the way up until they saw their neighbor sitting outside of his own house. Once they saw Mr. Saiki on his doorstep, they knew they weren’t going to have a really good afternoon. Y/N knew they should have greeted Mr. Saiki but ever since he and his wife started fighting it always felt so awkward to talk to either of them.
Y/N quietly walked past the Saiki residence to not catch Mr Saiki’s attention then quickly made it inside. Unfortunately the son of the Saiki family, Kusuo, also went to Y/N’s school so they knew he wasn’t to far behind them. As soon as they took their shoes off and put their school bag away they could hear their neighbors talking from outside the door and not to long after that the shouting started.
“Damn it. I just got home and the neighbors were already shouting.” All Y/N could do grumble and try not to focus on what their neighbors were saying, kinda hard when all they do nowadays was yell at each other. Y/N tried to push the thoughts of their neighbors to the back of their mind as they put on their headphones and started making dinner.
While making their dinner Y/N could barely hear their neighbors over their music, which sadly meant they were still shouting. But as soon as they sat down to eat the neighbors finally quieted and Y/N let out a sigh. ‘Finally quiet’ they thought. Y/N could finally relax and eat in peace. However as soon as they lifted up their fork to take another bite they heard loud glass shattering from next door.
“Okay, that’s it. I’m going to eat in my room.”
—————————————————————————
Today was the most boring day for 542 students of PK Academy, today was the day of orientation. It was tradition at PK Academy for the principal to make a speech for orientation day but as it always was, the speech was longwinded and boring.
Every single student had to stand in one large neat group while orientation droned on and on. ‘What I wouldn’t give to walk out right now’, the students thought collectively. Y/N thought the same until they saw movement a couple rows in front of them.
“Hey buddy,” it was just Nendo being Nendo, nothing to get too interested in Y/N thought before spacing out again to the voice of the principal. Not a minute later Y/N heard a thud that took them out of their thoughts.
“He passed out!” “Low blood sugar?”
“AAAAAA, what happened buddy are you alright?!” Nendo said as he started to shake the passed out kid.
‘This can’t be good’, thought Y/N. Since no one was really doing anything and was just watching Nendo make a fool of himself, Y/N got the attention of the closest teacher and pointed at Nendo punching whom they assumed was Takahashi.
“Nendo what do you think you’re doing?! Take him to the nurse” the random teacher said.
“Uh the nurse oh okay right!”, Nendo said sounding confused. “Hey Saiki, why don’t you go with the two of them, I don’t trust Nendo to find it.” After the teacher spoke, Y/N heard a little “damn it” from their neighbor Saiki. ‘Damn, I kinda wish I could also get out of this but keeping track of Nendo might be worse, sorry Kusuo’ thought Y/N. Not long after that Nendo put Takahashi’s arm over his shoulder and took him to the nurse’s office with Saiki following close behind.
After the three left, orientation continued like Takahashi passing out never happened. ‘And hell continues’ thought Y/N.
About ten minutes later Y/N heard an ambulance siren coming from the school’s entrance. ‘Oh shit! Takahashi must be in bad condition,’ Y/N thought worriedly. Not too long after that Y/N also heard a “You can beat this man!” from Nendo.
‘Hope they turn out okay,’ thought Y/N.
—————————————————————————
In room 2-3 Y/N sat quietly while observing their other classmates during break. People watching was what Y/N did when they didn’t have their headphones. Y/N wasn’t paying attention to any conversations in particular until someone in the back of the class said that a snake from the zoo was on the loose. Now that was an entertaining thing to talk about.
“Are you boys sure it escaped? An animal attack is just the sort of plan they’d come up with,” Kaido said with a superior tone, guess he was also eavesdropping.
“But fear not, I, the jet black wings, am never fooled by their evil deception. Someone must have set that snake free on purpose,”
‘Okay this is getting fun, I wish I had a snack right now. This feels like watching tv,’ Y/N thought while looking at the group of students no so suddenly.
“Hang on! You know the guy that did this Kaido?”
“Some wanna be super villain called the black wings”
“No I’m the jet back wings, the hero. The villain is a secret organization named Dark Reunion. And this escaped snake thing is the first step in their plot to sort man kind!”
“DARK REUNION!” a group of student shouted.
‘Okay this is the most entertaining thing I’ve seen in a while,” Y/N giggled.
“Who? Geez. Never heard of them.” The whole group said as they dispersed.
‘Damn, just when it was getting good,’ Y/N huffed at their entertainment coming to an end.
“Ah huh, once again the fate of the world has fallen into our super powered laps, eh Saiki?” Kaido said, still in his persona.
“Saiki, what’s your read? I don’t like this one bit. This snake which I’ve named “murder dragurom snake” is likely no ordinary snake!” “That’s quite the dramatic name,” Kusuo said quietly.
“It’s also likely that Dark Reunion genetically engineered murder dragurom sake, specifically kill people! We’re running out of time here Saiki. The world is counting on us to stop that slavering-
“Hey good news! They caught the snake!” Some random student shouted, again ruining Y/N’s entertainment found in Kaido.
“Well that’s a relief, where did they find it?
“At the school’s front gate, it was just kinda laying on the ground half dead.” Kaido perked up from his pouting state and then looked shocked while his inner monologue was clearly running.
“Kay why was it half dead?”
“Some first graders were whipping it around.”
“That’s one weak ass murder snake,” Kusuo said. ‘Okay now that’s funny,’ Y/N thought while trying not to laugh aloud.
“Sounds like we beat Dark Reunion this time.” “Be careful why you say! They’re an all powerful secret society. “Who knows what they’ll do to you when they sort man kind,” students said sarcastically and laughing.
“Heh, go ahead and laugh. This is the calm before the storm. Dark Reunion in coming, I tried to warn you all I swear.” The first half was in character and the second sounded as if he was gonna cry.
‘Damn that was harsh. Oh look, Kusuo must be getting up to comfort Kaido. What a good friend.” Thought Y/N.
“It’s like he’s in elementary school. One time he said there’s a monster in his arm. You guys it’s starting to take over my whole body!” The kids continued to mock. Then suddenly a snake fell out of the kid’s jacket arm. Then the class fell into chaos.
In the panic students were shouting and some students started to sit in their desks to get away from the snake on the floor. “What a bunch of dorks,” said Nendo not at all freaked out.
“Are your guys balls still attached?”
“Worry about yours!”
“Cause mine feel weird.”
“Well obviously they do! The snake’s on your crotch!”
“NENDO” the class shouted as Nendo seem to pass out while standing up then quickly falling to the floor dramatically.
“EVERYBODY GET DOWN, I’ll take care of this snake,” Kaido said confidently while getting in between the class and the snake.
“KAIDO WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!l
“Alright, murder dragurom snake it’s time you face me, the jet black wings! Let’s go,” then Kaido make an anime esc pose.
“So we’re having a fake super hero face a real poisonous snake now?”
When the snake started to slither towards a girl, Kaido blocked the snakes path. “Take this! JUDGMENT NIGHT SON-” FLASH. The snake was being electrocuted!
“YAAAAA” the class erupted in celebration while Kaido looked confused then in awe of himself.
‘Holy shit. Are we sure this wasn’t filmed? How the hell did that happen!’ Y/N thought loudly.
And thus the great snake attack came to an end.
Unfortunately Kaido took this one off experience to heart and was rather arrogant until he was sent to the principal’s office.
—————————————————————————
Today Y/N was on a mission, to go grocery shopping! Normally this wouldn’t be such an adventure but today they got their allowance and wanted to spend it on a sweet treat as a reward for doing chores.
“Oh wow!” “Oh wow!” “Oh wow!” When Y/N heard the noise of countless people in shock, they knew Teruhashi was near by. They tried to ignore her presence because when she is near by things either go really smoothly or they spiral out of control, Y/N didn’t want to take that risk today.
But suddenly ignoring Teruhashi became extra difficult as she ran up to the man I front of Y/N, Kusuo Saiki. “Saiki, hi! I couldn’t help but notice you looked sad.” ‘Uh oh, this can’t be good. I’ll have to talk to her if she notices me. Oh dear, why’d I pick today to go out?’ Y/N thought while regretting ever leaving their bed.
Oddly enough, Kusuo just bowed slightly and continued walking, this irked Teruhashi so she continued to try and get a reaction out of Kusuo.
“Saki, silly, know it’s not polite to ignore a girl.” Teruhashi said as she looked walked in front of Kusuo. However Kusuo made less of a deal with it and continued walking.
‘Never mind, this is getting entertaining! I’m so glad she hasn’t noticed me, this made getting out of bed worth it. Why is Teruhashi doing this? Why is she so shocked? Whatever, I’m having fun now,’ thought Y/N a little smugly.
“Saiki don’t leave me alone!” ‘Kusuo dodged again, brutal!’ YN thought only feeling a little bad for Teruhashi. Kusuo kept walking ahead while Teruhashi was frozen in place, Y/N then had to stop too, not wanting to be seen by Teruhashi.
“Saiki, hi~” ‘And she’s back at it!’ Y/N thought excited with enthusiasm.
“Where are you going? Do you mind if I tag along with you? I promise it’ll be fun Saiki!” Teruhashi said while repeatedly trying to grab at Kusuo, he is still dodging though.
Through the crowd Y/N’s attention was drawn to Nendo, then they noticed that Saiki disappeared.
“Oh no! Where did Saiki go? What’s going on?!” Y/N was thinking the same thing, until they saw Saiki on the roof. ‘Oh damn. I didn’t know acknowledging someone was that deep.’ Y/N thought before quickly taking their eyes off Saiki, they didn’t want to draw attention to him being on the roof.
“Saiki!!” Teruhashi called out.
“Nendo?”
“Oh wow Teruhashi!”
“Do you know where Saiki went?”
‘Oh shit, gotta hide!’
“Uh buddy? Nope, I haven’t seen him.”
Teruhashi was spacing off as Nendo continued to talk, all the while she had a prominently blushed face. ‘Uh oh, I bet that’s gonna cause some problems,’ Y/N thought while walking away.
Y/N was snickering as they walked away until Kusuo teleported right in front of them.
“What are you laughing at?” Kusuo questioned, clearly annoyed.
“You.” Y/N answered while still chuckling.
“You could have done something to get her off me you know.”
“And what would be the fun in that?” Y/N continued to joke.
“You know just because we are childhood friends and neighbors doesn’t mean I won’t burn you alive?” Kusuo said walking beside Y/N.
“Ya, ya, don’t worry I’ll buy you a coffee jelly for your troubles, okay?” Y/N said more softly and careful than before.
“Okay,” Kusuo said quickly.
“Hey Kusuo, are we still on for movie night tomorrow?” Y/N asked while smiling at his reaction.
“As long as you bring those coffee brownies I love,” Kusuo said half joking.
“You got it. Well, I got some groceries to buy. I’ll see you tomorrow,” Y/N said, waving Saiki goodbye then walking off. Y/N’s now determined to make the best damn brownies of Kusuo’s life.

Who's Better?
Izuku loves his chubby wife. Always has. Ever since he saved her, ever since he kept running into her. He's loved her. Now she was his. He couldn't wish for anything better. Might be a 2 part story.
Pro!Izuku x Chubby!Reader ♡
Tumblr media
Home alone, like normal, while your husband was at work. Honestly? You watch him on the news whenever he's doing the big jobs. It makes you anxious, seeing him hurt. As if he was about to die at any second. Which he could, but would he? Not when he has a stunning wife at home cuddling her Deku plush. He gets thrown into the big jobs a lot due to him being #1 Hero. However, he always reassured you that he would always end up back home in your arms.
This time, you were watching the news. Your eyes widened as your husband was fighting hard. He was fighting like the whole worlds life is on the line. You were clutching your plush and patting your foot against the floor, quickly paced. Your eyes were wide, and you couldn't look away. Then, a little explosion could be seen from the side. This calmed your nerves. Dynamight. Or well, Katsuki. A good friend of both you and Izuku's. He came spinning in. A large grin on his face as he let off a huge explosion.
The villain was pretty strong but was struggling to keep up with the top two heroes. This ended faster with the help of Dynamight. Izuku never really stays around with Katsuki for questioning. He has a worried wife he has to go see. Immediately. As soon as he got home. He went to see you. He didn't get checked up or anything, still sweaty and dirty from the fight. He just opened his arms. Which you happily ran into.
"IZUKU!.. Are you okay?!"
"Mhm. I wouldn't have come home if I wasn't, _____"
You sighed into his chest. His hands ran along your soft covered plumpness. Kissing your head softly, he sighed. What if he died? What if he could've never seen you again? Even thinking of it drove him insane.
"Can we cuddle?"
You looked up at his question before nodding as you noticed the soft blush on his cheeks. Slipping out of his grasp, you took his hand. Leading him upstairs. Your bedroom door is wide open. Dragging him inside, which he accepted, you crawled into bed, and he followed. Just resting onto your stomach, your hands ran through his curly green hair. He groaned at the feeling of your nails on his scalp. Some of his curls knotted up, which quickly loosened as you ran your fingers through his hair.
"I'm sorry for worrying you always, my beautiful wife.." He muttered into your plump stomach.
"It's okay.. I know you wanna save and protect the people who can't.. I love you, Izu."
"I love you too, sunshine.."
It wasn't long before he had absolutely fallen asleep. Tired from his fighting and the feeling of your nails massaging his scalp. You felt bad knowing you'd have to wake him from his nap so you could make dinner soon.

Day 1 Travel Day For All-Stars
And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate
Baby, I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake
I shake it off, I shake it off
“God damnit,” Joel growls. “Why do I always forget that that’s your damn alarm?”
“Mmph, it works. Wakes me up.” You sit up and stretch before reaching to pick up your phone.
The same phone you stared at while willing yourself to sleep, attempting to ignore the circling "what ifs" of the dreaded conversation you knew you had to have with your parents, only able to do so after focusing on the soothing sound of Joel's breathing.
You get up, slip on his shirt and crack open the curtains letting the morning sun peek in.
“Guess I should look at my phone, hm?” Joel slowly sits up and settles his back on the pillows while you readjust, his big brown eyes disappearing behind the tired crinkles that line the sides as he lets out a rumbly yawn.
“Might be a good idea, I’m sure Sarah wants to talk with you.” Running a hand through his sleep tousled hair, you give him a kiss.
“Called her on the way home yesterday, let her know not to worry and that I’d be fine without her.” He sighs. “I think she knows I have somebody.”
“Hm. I didn’t want to get into it this soon, but I’m going to have to talk to my mom at least. She knows I’m here in Philly and I didn’t get on my flight.”
“Well, shit,” he grimaces. “You okay?”
“Yeah, I’ll be good. I texted her saying I’m fine and I’d talk to her tomorrow. Just nervous, but at this point, there’s no going back…they were already going to find out today. So instead of doing it in person, I’m just going to have to do it over the phone.”
“Whatever happens, we’ll figure it out.” His hand grabs yours and squeezes it.
“We will, I just want to have a nice morning with you, I'll deal with them after lunch.”
“But first, coffee?”
“But first, coffee.”
——
“Well, here goes,” you dial your mom’s number and hit the green phone circle. She picks up after two rings. Crap.
“Hey mom,” you nervously swallow, trying to sound chipper. Joel’s hand soothingly pets your back, grounding you.
“Hi sweetie, what’s happening? Your dad and I are very confused.”
“Yeah, um about that, is dad with you?”
“He is… is everything okay?”
“Yes, everything is good. Um, could you put me on speaker?” You haven’t had to feel this level of nervousness with your parents in almost twenty years.
“Hi Duck, what’s going on?” Your dad calls you by your nickname, so he’s not mad… yet. “Was looking forward to seeing you, I don’t know why you’re not here. Mom and I didn’t hear from you, so she checked your location last night and you’re in Philadelphia? Not New York, not the airport, not Texas, but Philadelphia, why is that? We were worried, Duck.”
“I know, I’m sorry about that. So, things got… complicated. I was packing for the airport and was watching the Liberties game when, um, Joel got hurt.” You exhale, trying to calm yourself by focusing on the feel of Joel’s hand on your skin. “I, uh, drove down to help take care of him because, um, he and I have been, together since, well, November.” You breathe out the latter word, hoping your quiet breath will hide the shame in keeping Joel a secret for that long, for not respecting your parents and your own relationship. You feel so small, so fragile, so young, confessing to your mom and dad like you’re in trouble.
“November?” The only word your mom responds with. Your dad stays quiet, and you’re reminded of why you wanted to do this over the phone. So you wouldn’t see their expressions. Although, maybe if they were here, they would be able to see the way Joel looks at you, how happy you are, how perfect he is for you.
“Yes, um, remember when I flew in for your birthday? We ran into each other, and I don’t know, it just worked out. I know this is a lot.”
Joel’s hand lands on your shoulder, tugging you back to lay against him, his arm wrapping around your chest as he presses a soft kiss to the top of your head.  You love him so much, you let a tear slip out as you wait for any sort of validation.
“So, you and Joel Miller have been together for, what, nine months? And we’re only finding out about it now?” You try to gauge your dad’s voice, sensing disappointment, praying it’s not anger. “Is it because you got caught at his place? When were you going to tell us?”
Okay, there’s anger.
“Tonight actually, um, Joel and I were going to tell you tonight at dinner. I’m really sorry and I know this is complicated because there’s a bit of history between him and you, but daddy, I love him.”
“Bit of history?” he replies, incredulous. “He was my star player for twenty years, he was rude to the media, coaches, and reporters and I always had to pick up that mess. He was great on the field and in the clubhouse, but he was a pain in my ass most of the time, and now you’re telling me you’re in love with him… and have been for almost a year?”
You bite your lip as you will the tears away from your eyes. You’re so thankful for Joel’s touch right now. He’s respecting you, but you can tell by his breathing growing louder and quicker that hearing your dad’s raised voice is upsetting him. Maybe it’s better to be not in person, that way Joel doesn’t run the risk of throwing your dad through a wall.
“Yes,” you croak out. You feel like a child answering him. Eyes downcast, tears rolling down your cheeks.
“And all of a sudden, right after he’s no longer on my team, he’s your boyfriend?”
“I’m sorry dad, it’s not something we planned on, it just… happened and I know you’re mad and I’m sorry that it took this long for you to find out and I’m sor—“
“Sweetie,” your mom’s voice breaks through your anxious words, “are you happy?”
“Yes,” you whisper, Joel’s arm squeezes you tighter, “incredibly.”
“Well, that’s all we want for you. If it’s with Joel, then we’re good, right?”
You breathe out a sigh of relief at her words, her acceptance, her demand of your dad to recenter himself and his ire. You turn to look at Joel and see tears sitting in the waterline of his eyes that are focused on you. He gives you a small smile.
How could you not love this man? How could anybody doubt the power of what you two share?
“That is what we want for you, but I am concerned. People will have questions. Joel is a part of this team’s history and now my daughter is dating him.”
“I understand that.”
“I know you do, Duck. You can make your own decisions, you haven’t lived under our rules for a very long time. I trust you. As long as you are happy and you understand that there will be roadblocks up ahead with the public eye, then I can be on board. People talk, the internet talks and you’re signing yourself up for a lot of people talking about you. I know you realize that, but does Miller?”
“I do, sir,” Joel says, the first words spoken from him, with the “sir” sternly emphasized. “Look, I don’t care what anybody has to say, people’s opinions never mattered to me. I know you’re well aware of that. I love your daughter. She has been with me every step of the way since I learned I was no longer a Capital. I apologize that this is all at once ’n that this is how you’re finding out, but I do not apologize for the way I feel about your daughter. I love her.”
You watch Joel’s lips as he speaks his confession to your parents, wondering how you could be so lucky to have found him and to have his heart the way that you do.
“Listen, I know you two are smart, and Miller, you know at the end of the day I respect the hell out of you. If my daughter is happy, that’s all I can hope for as her father. As much as I worry about her, I know she can make her own decisions.”
“As a father to a college student now, I understand that sir. You have my word that I will stop at nothing to keep your daughter happy.”
“We know that Joel,” your mom’s soft voice soothes the conversation. “I just wish we would have known about this sooner. I’m a bit upset that it took you long enough to let us know. We just want you to be aware of what issues might arise for you two.”
“Whatever happens, it’s just white noise to us. It’s my choice—it’s our choice,” you say. “We’ve talked about everything before, we are fully aware.”
“I can’t tell you what to do Duck, Mom can’t tell you what to do. Miller’s a good man, underneath it all, I know that. If you are happy with him, then we are happy for you.”
“This is the happiest I’ve been.”
“We’re glad sweetheart, so glad,” your mom chokes out. At least they’re happy tears. “We’ll be here for you, always. I guess we won’t see you this week.”
“No, Joel needs me, I don’t want to leave him.”
“Alright then, feel better Miller, we love you Duck,” your dad’s voice softens. “Take care and keep us updated, okay?”
“Thank you sir,” Joel respectfully responds.
“I will. Love you guys, bye.” You end the call and let out a big sigh of relief.
One down, two more to go.
“I’m proud of you baby,” Joel breathes out against your hair.
“Heh, thanks. I think?”
“I know you were nervous.”
“Oh, yeah. Still kinda dumb how I’m intimidated by them but… I think it all worked out in the end.”
“It did baby. Why does your dad call you Duck?”
“It’s short for duck snort.”
“...Like the baseball term?”
“Yep, I used to be a crazy toddler and thought my parents chasing me was funny. One day my dad called me a duck snort because I’d always get away and ‘win’, and it kinda stuck.”
He smiles, stroking your cheek. “That’s so fucking cute. ”
“Speaking of daughters, when are you going to tell Sarah?”
“Later. I’m all phoned out for the time being, want to rest my back and take a nap. That one was a little tense.”
“A nap sounds amazing,” you stretch and adjust to put your head on Joel’s chest, your favorite pillow.
——
“Joel,” you blink your eyes open, “the sun’s going down. I think we overslept.”
“Mm, I’m up. Been up.”
“Why didn’t you wake me?”
“You’ve had a long couple of days, wanted to let you sleep.”
“You’re due for your pills,” you yawn, getting up.
“I am.”
He winces as you hand him his medicine and glass of water.
“You alright?”
“Been better, just really hurts right now. Plus, I should call Sarah before it gets too late. I just texted Tommy and told him.”
“Oh?” You turn on Joel’s heating pad and hand him the remote.
“Yeah, he texted me and asked me how I was getting along and if my nurse was hot. Told him about everything. He was happy for me and congratulated me on my hot nurse.”
“He’s ridiculous,” you shake your head. “I’m going to go make dinner, I’ll leave you to call Sarah.” You kiss the top of his forehead.
“Thanks baby.”
——
You quietly step into Joel’s room holding a tray with his plate full of steak, rice and broccoli, Joel’s go to in season meal.
“Hey sweets, my dinner is here. I gotta go.”
“Can I—can I say hi to her?”
You smile at Sarah’s sweet voice as Joel looks past his phone to you. You nod and walk over placing the tray on Joel’s lap.
“Sure, here she is.”
Well, this is new. You’ve never been with anybody who has a child, let alone a college aged kid. You know Sarah, you love her, you used to chase her around the club box years ago.
You grab the phone, she’s gotten so beautiful. Same brown eyes as her dad, deep dimples as she smiles, long curly hair. She’s a young woman now, just as gorgeous as her dad.
“Hi Sarah, nice to see you again.”
“Oh my god! Hi! It is! Wish it wasn’t through the phone but I, just, I wanted to say that, I-I am very happy that Dad finally found somebody and it’s you!”
“Well, I am too.”
“He told me you’re doing a better job than I ever would at taking care of him, so I don’t need to tell you to take good care of him.”
“I try,” you chuckle.
“Thanks for saying hi to me, I’ll let you go, I know you have dinner!”
“Of course Sarah, any time. I’ll hand you back to your dad now.”
You keep your smile as you hand the phone back to Joel. You don’t know if you’ve ever seen him this happy before, eyes alight with a large grin on his face. You never noticed how his dimple matches Sarah’s.
Your shoulders feel lighter now that the most important people know, and accept, your love.
The secret’s out.

Day 2 Home Run Derby
Greeting Doctor Arroyo with a smile, you leave him in the living room to wait.
"Joel," you peek your head into the bedroom. "He's here."
"Send him in," he replies, sitting up higher.
Showing the doctor the way, he thanks you.
"Thanks, Mrs. Miller."
You let out a little laugh. "Not the wife, just the girlfriend."
Giving you a small smile, he leaves you in the hallway with thoughts of being Mrs. Miller swirling in your head.
After the doctor leaves, you sit on the edge of the bed.
“So, what’d he say?”
“Still stuck like this for the next few days. Wants me to do some stretches and move around more, going to check on me in two more days again. Said I’m recovering well, told him it’s because I have a good nurse.”
“You do have a good nurse… that’s better news than I was expecting at least.”
“Yep, and he took the bandage off from my shot so I can finally take a shower.”
“Oh?”
“Oh is right,” his eyes darken, “but you’re gonna have to wash me, nurse.”
“I can do that, not only am I your nurse but I’m also your wife according to Dr. Arroyo.”
“Oh?”
“Oh is right,” you wink. “I told him I’m your girlfriend.”
“Should’ve told him you’re not my wife… yet.”
“I’m happy with girlfriend right now Mr. Miller.”
“My sweet independent girl.”
“Eh, your sweet independent nurse now. Come on, let’s get you washed Mr. Miller.”
“Yes ma’am.”
——
Joel hobbles into the bathroom as you adjust the temperature of the shower.
“It’s hot, too hot, just like you like it Mr. Miller.”
“God, I love it when you call me that. Now nurse,” he smirks, “come help me with my clothes.”
“Right away Mr. Miller,” you reply, sauntering over to him.
“What a pretty nurse you are, have a feeling you’re going to take REAL good care of me,” he raises his arms over his head as you lift his shirt up.
“I’ll sure try to take good care of you Mr. Miller. Did you want me to remove your shorts?”
“Yes nurse.”
You lean forward, grabbing the waistband of his pants to lower them down, running your gaze appreciatively over his half-hard cock.
You look up and angle your eyebrow at him. “I can see you’re quite excited for your shower Mr. Miller.”
“Mm.”
“Go ahead and get in, it’s all ready for you.”
“But you’re not. Take your clothes off.”
“Now, Mr. Miller, I can’t get naked for you, but I can take this off.” You slip the straps of your dress down your arms and shimmy out of it, leaving only your white cotton bra and underwear on. “You know, gotta stay decent while taking care of my patient.”
He hums in appreciation, taking in the sight. Turning, he steps into the shower with a groan of contentment.
“Feel good?” You ask grabbing a wash cloth.
“Very.”
He leans forward, placing his arms on the wall and stretches his back as the water hits his skin. Water trickles down the deep plains of his spine, the strong muscles of his back gleaming under the sheen of water. You follow the river that falls from his neck, down his back bone, past the two lower back dimples you love, past the slight curve of his behind and down his hairy legs. He is all man… your man. It’s a shame all the water that lands across his body is wasted on the drain.
“Is the temperature good?”
“S’perfect,” he grunts.
“Want me to scrub you sir?”
“Heh,” he turns his head to look at you, “with a nurse that looks like you? ‘Course I do.”
The drops of water sear your skin as you step into the water.
“Jesus Joel, it’s hot in here.”
“Mm,” he reaches over and turns the water cooler before turning around, his eyes darkening as he notices the fabric of your bra cups has turned see-through. “Better?” His eyes stay on your chest.
“Better. Now, let’s get you washed, sir.”
“I’m all yours.”
You grab Joel’s bar of soap, lathering your hands up with the eucalyptus scented bar. Your hands run across his chest leaving lines of suds along his skin, and he lets out a small groan as you rub soapy circles over his stomach.
He reaches a hand up and pinches your nipple underneath the sheer wet fabric.
“Feel good sir?”
“Very. Such a good nurse.”
You step closer to him, his hard cock jutting against your stomach as you wash his arms. Your fingers press tight along his biceps and his shoulders, releasing the tension.
“Fuck,” Joel breathes out, “you’re driving me crazy like this.”
“Well, get ready, I need to wash your legs and…” you wrap your hand around his erection, “this… sir.”
“Jesus Christ,” he groans and shakes his head. “Go ahead nurse.”
You reach around him and grab the soap before kneeling on the tile floor.
Your soapy hands glide along Joel’s legs, his calf muscles firm under your touch, his thighs soft as you move closer to Joel’s hard cock dripping water and precum. You move your hands along the back of his thighs, cradling the bottom of his ass cheeks before pushing him forward and sealing your mouth over his cock.
“CHRIST!” Joel’s shout echoes across the bathroom, his hands splaying against the glass.
Pulling back, you look up.
“You alright? Is this too much?”
“No, no sweetheart,” his eyes soften as he reaches down and holds your cheek, “it felt really good. Go on baby,” Joel leans against the shower wall, “prove to me I’m your favorite patient.”
A long groan escapes Joel’s mouth as you suck the tip of his cock into your mouth. You take him deeper in, sucking the water off of his length as he grabs a handful of your wet hair, your mouth slurping along his length. You clench your thighs together as you feel your cunt throb with arousal.
“That’s it, that’s it,” he chants.
Water dripping off of Joel’s skin pelts your face as he fills your mouth, your nose brushing against the coarse hair of him there, his cock repeatedly brushing the back of your throat causing a string of saliva to drool out of your mouth.
“Touch yourself, touch your pussy while you suck me baby.”
Your hand reaches underneath your soaked cotton panties, your fingers ghosting across your swollen clit. You moan as you press down and swirl around the bundle of nerves.
His hips jut forward when you hollow your cheeks around him sucking as you bob your head along his length, your free hand cradling his balls and massaging the soft skin of them, bringing him to the brink of his orgasm.
“So good baby, fucking hell,” his grip on your hair tightens, “going to give you my cum soon if you keep that up.”
Your eyes look up to him, he tilts his head down and gives you a blissed out half smile, water cascades down his face and falls onto your skin. The way he looks at you, the line on his forearm straining as he holds your hair, his warm cock stretching your mouth open, the feel of water dripping down your throat mixed with the taste of Joel. The sensation is too much, you whimper around Joel’s cock as you orgasm. Your fingers drown with your arousal, your mouth goes slack around him as warmth spreads through your limbs. Your hand collects the hot slick that leaks out of you, spreading it all over Joel’s shaft, pumping him with your fist as you suck the tip of him.
“Close,” he pants, “lemme cum in that mouth, wanna see your mouth filled with me.”
You nod and moan as you tighten your grip and suck harder.
He chants your name as he empties his release into your open mouth, the last spurt of him landing on your outstretched tongue.
He untangles his hand from your hair, running it down your face to grab your chin and angle it up.
“Swallow it baby.”
His blown out brown eyes watch in worshiping awe as you seal your mouth shut and gulp down the salty taste of him before licking your lips.
“All good Mr. Miller?”
“Quite… best nurse I ever had.”
—-
“He reminds me of you,” you muse, grabbing a handful of popcorn from the bowl as you and Joel watch the Austin Capitals’ rookie phenom James Neal hit ball after ball over the fence of Capitals Stadium.
“He better. He’s my replacement.” Joel grumbles.
“How do you feel about not being there?”
“Tonight isn’t as bad, I always hated the Derby, having to sit on the field and play nice with the cameras. Tomorrow is going to suck.”
“I know it will, I’m sorry this is happening to you. You deserve everything this season. I know everything hasn’t gone the way you’ve wanted but I couldn’t be prouder of how you’ve handled it.”
“Don’t think I’d be able to do it without you baby,” he kisses the top of your head as James Neal hits his twentieth home run over the fence.

Day 3 The All-Star Game
And the first pitch of the sixth inning is a strike. Scott steps back into the box, swings… and a miss. Strike two. Bridges winds up, and Scott hits a ground ball to first and—OH! Reynolds misreads it and it gets past him, two runs score. The American League now leads by two in the sixth!
“I would’ve caught that,” Joel bitterly says.
“I know you would’ve All-Star,” you console, leaning against him and wrapping an arm around him.
“Mmf, you can’t lay on me like that.”
“Sorry, does it hurt?”
“No, not even close. Just… feels real good having you all naked and pressed up against me like that.”
“Sorry.”
Joel plants his hand against your back, keeping you from moving away.
“Stay, I like it. If I was on that field right now I couldn’t feel you like this.”
“Oh yeah?” Your hand runs a trail down his shorts and grips the heft of him. “Definitely wouldn’t be able to feel this.”
“Definitely not,” he groans.
“Definitely couldn’t pull your shorts down and touch you if you were playing right now.”
“No,” he grunts, lifting his hips up allowing you to remove his shorts.
You wrap your hand around his half hard cock. “And surely, I couldn’t jerk you off if you were on that field.”
“Fuck, no,” he grits, hardening under your touch.
“Did you want to watch the game in peace or do you want me to take care of you?”
“Take care baby,” he kisses you, “fuck this game.”
“Yeah, fuck this game.”
Your body overheats as you slide down Joel, straddling his thick thighs, taking his cock in hand, rubbing it along your dripping cunt and slowly settling yourself on his length.
Joel’s lips part, his big brown eyes staring at you as a long moan leaves your mouth savoring the feel of his cock stretching you.
“You feel so good,” his head thuds against the pillow. “I haven’t felt your pussy like this in forever. Fucking missed it.”
Your hips rock back and forth still adjusting to the size of him as he grabs your tits and massages the weight of them in his calloused hands.
“This pussy was made for me, wasn’t it?”
You’re too blissed out to answer, too overwhelmed by the size of him. All you can muster is an isolated nod and whine arching your back while he pinches and pulls your nipples into peaks.
“You gonna fuck me baby? You gonna fuck me like the All-Star I am? Come on baby, prove to me I’m your All-Star.”
You rise and fall on his cock, grinding your hips down each time he stuffs you full.
“Look so good like this baby,” Joel juts his hips up “you’re the only fucking trophy I need.”
You lean in as your thighs begin to tremble bringing his hand to your lips. Joel’s blown out pupils focus on your tongue as it traces the circles of his tattoo.
“Fucking perfect,” he rasps.
Your pussy clenches at his praise, Joel’s cock hits the sensitive spot you want to feel him the most.
“Cum for me, let me feel you strangle my cock, cum for me baby,” Joel’s gravelly voice encourages as he pulls his hand from your mouth, tugging you down against his chest.
Your cunt flutters around him as your orgasm shatters into you. Your mouth going slack, drool falling out and landing on Joel’s chest as you scream his name and writhe on top of him.
“That’s my good girl, that’s it, fuck, you’re fucking gripping me baby, not going to last long like this.”
You summon as much energy as you can leaning forward to lick the golden skin of his neck as you grind your hips against his, your soaked pussy pumping his cock.
“That’s it baby, that’s it,” he pants. “Gonna cum.”
Joel lets out a long groan as his hips jerk up into you, warmth blooming through your core as his cock empties into you. You both stay frozen collectively catching your breaths as you come down from your shared bliss. His cock slips from you as you lift up to kiss him, both of your spends dribbling down between your thighs.
“Did I make you feel like the All-Star you are?”
“Mm,” he smiles, pulling away, ”I love being a baseball player sometimes.”
You turn towards the TV. “It’s tied now.”
“Mm, for the first time ever, I really don’t care.”
You stay cuddled in his bed for the remainder of the game, today is definitely your favorite All-Star Game experience.
Well folks, that’ll do it for this year’s All-Star Game here in beautiful Austin, Texas. The National League wins in a 4-3 victory over the American League. We’ll see you next year.
“Good game, I really enjoyed the sixth inning.”
“Guess it’s good we get home field advantage in the World Series,” Joel shrugs.
“Always thinking ahead.” “Always. Had a plan for a whole thing after the game but life had other plans. I, uh, grabbed this when I was changing earlier,” Joel opens his bedside table and pulls out a small gray suede box.
Your heart skips a beat at the implication of what it could be. There’s no way.
“It’s okay baby, don’t panic, it’s not that. Now that everybody knows, I want you to be able to wear me wherever you go.”
He opens the box, a delicate gold necklace with a pendant of his number hangs from it.
“Joel,” you breathe out as tears prick your eyes, “it’s so… beautiful.”
“That first night I had the chain was the night I had you in the back of that club. I tried for so long to stay away from you, and yet you were always there, like some forbidden treasure I could never have… now we’re together and this is the happiest I’ve ever been.” Joel swipes the tears from your cheeks as they fall, “I love you so much sweetheart.”
“I love you too,” you smile as you take the box and remove the necklace.
“Put it on baby, lemme see it.”
You clasp the necklace behind your neck and lower your arms. Joel pets the gold pendant against your skin.
“Beautiful,” Joel whispers.

“Who’s afraid of little old me? You should be.”
Tumblr media
“Again Rhys again!” I called out.
My big brother and I sit knee to knee on my bedroom floor. Both of us were supposed to be in bed hours ago. But Rhys was getting better and better at controlling his powers, especially for a fae so young. Many already started to fear him, but I knew he wasn’t a danger, especially as he sat here doing parlor tricks for me to distract from the sounds of mother and father fighting downstairs.
Rhys chuckles at my request but holds out his hands and summons an image of the night sky on starfall. It’s small and doesn’t quite do the real event justice, but it’s beautiful, it’s magical. The image fades away like all things do and the room is back to being illuminated by the moonlight drifting through the window alone.
“I wish I had powers,” I huff looking at my own mundane hands like a spark or a light might emit from them.
Rhys smiles, “Here hold out your hands,” he instructs me.
I give him both hands and try to ignore how much smaller they are in his. He’s a few years older but I know I’ll never be as big as him. He holds them tightly and when he lets go a swirling sky of stars rests in my hands. A galaxy of sparkles and shooting beams of light.
“There now you have powers of your own,” Rhys tells me, but I can see him maintaining the magic with his own hands. “Who knows, maybe you’re just a late bloomer,” he says reassuringly.
I shake my head knowing that if that were the case I’m years and years too late, “Father says I won’t have any,” I say watching the little galaxy fade in my hands, as if it felt my sadness.
“Maybe he’s wrong,” my brother says, trying to cheer me up as best as possible.
“He’s Father, he’s never wrong,” I remind him.
Rhys sighs and looks away, suddenly the snapping of leather echoes throughout the room. I turn to see he’s summoned his wings. He looks at me with an amused glance.
“I bet mother and father will be arguing for at least another hour, want me to sneak you out and we can go to the candy shop? I have some extra allowance, I’ll buy you those chocolates you like,” he says putting on a big smile.
“Yes lets go!” I squeal jumping from the floor.
There wasn’t a problem my big brother couldn’t solve with either spells or sweets.
My eyes flutter open as I feel the Illyrian behind me shifting about. Outside I can hear the birds chirping signaling that it’s morning but all I see is darkness. I sigh, pushing Cassian’s wing out of my way as I move to get out of bed. Before my feet touch the floor I’m yanked back into my mates warm embrace as he litters kisses on my cheek.
“What are you doing up this early?” he chuckles knowing that he’s typically the earlier riser of the two of us.
“I had a dream,” I giggle snuggling down into his warmth, who was I kidding? It was too cold outside to get out of bed yet.
“Bad dream?” he asked me, pressing another kiss to my temple.
“No it was a good dream,” I sigh remembering the dream I had woken up from, a memory really of a summer night with Rhys when we were just kids. “It was a really good dream,” I say again.
Tumblr media
“Is everyone ready?” Rhys asks the group as we continue to suit up.
Now that Feyre and Rhys were mated and we had both halves of the book we had decided to nullify The Cauldron. It was the best course of action to prevent our people from being slaughtered. When Rhys told me about the plan I asked if I could tag along. I had felt guilty about not having armies for us still, and with the training Cassian and I had been doing I knew I could look out for myself.
Cassian wasn’t happy with the idea. He tried to talk Rhys out of letting me go, but after Azriel vouched for my abilities Rhys said it would be my choice.
“Ready!” I chirp, strapping the last of my daggers to my thighs.
“I still don’t feel comfortable with this,” Cassian said, stepping to my side and tilting my chin up so I could see his eyes, the worry in them.
“Cass I’ll be okay, if Feyre can go so can I,” I say, grasping his wrist and placing a kiss to his palm, I know it won’t soothe his fears but it’s worth a try.
Cassian turns to Rhys, “You should know that she comes first. If anything should happen to her I won’t hesitate to get her out.” he says firmly to my brother.
“Cassian,” I hiss, not liking how I’m feeling so small.
Rhys nods, “I would expect nothing less from my general and my sister's mate,” he agrees.
“Then we’re in agreement,” Cassian nods.
We all walk out onto the terrace, and I climb into Cassian’s arms as we shoot into the sky. The entire flight there Cassian and I are silent, not a word is uttered between us. I wasn’t happy that he was going into this with a chip on his shoulder. The last thing I wanted was for him to be upset with me, despite him telling me time and time again that he wasn’t. I knew he was telling the truth, that he was more terrified than anything, but I was tired of being left behind. Tired of being the weak one.
When we arrive in Hybern and sneak into the castle it all feels too easy. There were very few guards we had to down on the way in. I didn’t even see any action, I only blocked a blow or two. It made me uneasy, made Rhys uneasy as well as we made our way toward the Cauldron. That’s where things went wrong.
Feyre had joined the two halves of the book and the power that had rippled through the palace brought Jurian, and Hybern upon us. It seemed that Tamlin had struck a deal with the king in exchange for getting Feyre back. All of us were terrified…we couldn’t fly, we couldn’t winnow, we couldn’t even move from the power that had us rooted to the ground.
Hybern sat upon his throne Tamlin and Lucien beside him. I could feel his power holding each of us frozen as he surveyed all of us, I was under that mountain once again at his gaze. I tried to reach for Cassian as I could feel his unwavering panic through the bond. A fear, not for himself but for me, and as the king’s soulless eyes found me I knew why.
“You,” he said cooly, his lip curling up at the edge.
I felt my body being pulled to him by whatever power had previously held me down. I screamed and thrashed as my body drifted further towards him.
“NO!” Cassian shouted, thrashing against the power that held him.
My screams were silenced by an icy black power around my throat as I was dropped on my knees before The King of Hybern.
“I remember you,” Hybern crooned. “You’re The Jewel. The one that should’ve been my wife, but your brother here,” he looked behind me to Rhys. “kept you from me.”
I feel the power pulling me closer until I’m sitting on the king's lap, the weight of his magic keeping me locked there.
“Don’t you touch her!” Cassian gritted through his teeth, like there was power circling his throat keeping him from speaking.
From where I sat perched on the king's leg I could see each member of my family struggling for purchase, Cassian the worst of all of them. As the king laid a hand on my thigh and a tear fell from my eye I couldn’t tell if the fear in my chest was my own or Cassian’s.
“As I was saying Feyre, it's in your best interest that you come quietly, you see we have something that might interest you,” he says cooly.
The doors to my right open revealing the human queens and two young human women, both of them sharing similar features to Feyre. Her sisters, I realized. The ones Feyre had talked to me about time and time again. She was so worried for them and here they were, in the worst possible place they could be. What would Feyre sacrifice in order to save them? Would she leave Rhys and go back to the spring court?
“Don’t hurt them,” I breathe out through the phantom grip on my throat.
The king's chest rumbles behind me as he laughs, “And what are you willing to give me in exchange little dove?”  he smirked, inhaling the scent of my hair.
“Y/n no!” Cassian growled out, more frantic this time.
A new voice made itself known, “She wouldn’t be much good to you, she’s practically infertile,” a voice croons from my left, my eyes flit to see Lucien taking a step towards us.
“What a shame,” the king said, brushing a hand against my cheek.
The fear that clouded my mind and the bond made it so I could hardly hear the things around me. I swear I could only hear the beating of my own heart. Mentions of how Jurian came to be in Hybern were thrown about. Shouts and screams from all around until the king's voice cut through the haze clouding my head.
“Ladies, eternity awaits . Prove to their majesties the Cauldron is safe for…strong willed individuals,”
No, no, no, no. He was going to put Feyre’s sisters in the Cauldron. The fog returned to my mind as I watched the first one enter and exit as if she was nothing but a babe being washed for the first time. Lucine was on the ground next to her and I swore I heard him utter the word ‘mate’ as he draped his coat around her shivering shoulders. The elder sister, Nesta, thrashed about, putting up a much harder fight than her younger sister did. When she emerged from the cauldron I could tell that she had been made different, more ruthless than any fae I had ever seen.
“There you have it, they are immortal,” he motioned to the two new fae lying on the cold floor.
The shock and horror on everyone's face, even Tamlin's, was a sight I would have haunt me for years to come. I felt the king’s hand drift from my thigh, over my hip and to my neck turning me to face him.
“I wonder what happens when someone who is already fae goes into the Cauldron,” he croons, brushing the skin of my cheek.
“NO!” Cassian shouted and for a moment the king’s power faulted, gaining Cassian two steps of freedom before white hot power erupted into him.
The scream my mate let out was nothing short of bone chilling, my eyes watched as the power that held him began shredding his wings as he fought to get to me. Two sets of arms hauled me off the king’s lap and before I knew it I was being dragged toward the Cauldron.
“NO! NO! CASSIAN!” I screamed for all I was worth, fought with all that I had tears rolling down my face.
“That’s enough!” Rhys voice cut through my shouts. “If you put her in you’ll kill her!”
“Seems like a fitting punishment for you keeping her from me under the mountain. Or did you really think I would let that go unpunished, Rhysand?” the king laughed.
I feel my legs hit the edge of the Cauldron and my eyes look down into icy blackness within, a power so dark it couldn’t hold light.
Cassian’s scream ricocheted off the wall as I turned to find his wings in ribbons around him. The brutal agony in that scream, the mating bond inside of me forced me to feel parts of it.
“Put her in,” Hybern said cooly, like this was nothing short of routine for him.
“No! NO!” I cried as I felt my legs submerge inside, the icy bite on my skin. “Cassian! CASSIAN!” I screamed wanting to see his eyes one last time.
Tear streaked hazel met my gaze and in that moment I knew I was looking at him for the last time. Despite him still trying to break free he seemed to know it too. I felt arms pushing me under but I pushed back needing one more moment of him.
“Cassian, I love you!” I shouted.
The hands on my shoulders pushed me down until I was completely submerged in the Cauldron. There was the sound of water around me and then there was nothing at all.
Tumblr media
Rhys pov:
The sound of Cassian’s screams as my sister was plunged into the Cauldron were the most haunting sounds I had ever heard. They were so terrifying I was sure I was watching that bond snap and half in real time. It was like I was hearing my sister die as well as watching her die and all I could do was stand there as the king's white hot power suffocated me.
Cassian’s screams stopped and I glanced over to see him passed out on the floor. Good. I thought, at the very least if he was unconscious then he wasn’t in pain.
My eyes were riveted to where two guards attempted to rip y/n from the Cauldron. She was different from the other two who had been plunged in. It was as if the Cauldron was fighting to keep her. With a great heave she was pulled from the water and tossed onto the ground, the sound of wet skin slapping the stone floors deafening.
I felt it before I saw it. A power, so deep, so dark. Even I feared what the Cauldron had awakened.
Then I saw it, violet flames dancing over her prone body.
“Marvelous,” the king’s voice breathed as he beheld what he had created.
The next moments the rest of Feyre and I’s plan took action. She pretended to break free of my influence and run to Tamlin to be my spy. I was left to winnow us all out along with Mor and Azriel. Azriel took Cassian who needed a healer immediately and Mor took Feyre’s sisters, as she had begged me to save them.
As I approached my sister unease slid into my stomach, she wasn’t conscious and I wasn’t sure if she was even alive. I didn’t have time to check and I didn’t care. I wouldn’t leave her body here anyways. I reacted quickly grabbing her and winnowing to the townhouse, the moment my skin touched hers I felt the heat of the flame, it burnt through my leathers and seared my skin.
It wasn’t until the shadows parted and I recognized that we were in the townhouse that I all but dropped her on the floor at Amren’s feet. I looked down at my arms, the flesh there marred. The burns would heal over time.
“What the hell have you brought into this court Rhysand?!” Amren sneered at y/n’s limp body on the ground, the flames dancing over her skin were already burning a hole in the carpet.
“Hybern put her in the Cauldron,” I explained to her.
Amren looks my sister up and down, her eyes begin to widen slowly as if she was putting all the pieces together. Then I saw the one thing I thought I would never see…fear crossing Amren’s features.
“What is it? How do we help her?” I ask frantically, breaking Amren from her trance.
“This power, it is an old bloodline made new. We need to get her somewhere warded now. If she wakes up and panics she could bring down this entire city,” Amren says.
“The only heavily warded places are the cells in the Hewn City,” I tell her, I couldn’t put my baby sister down there, I wouldn’t.
“Then grab her and let’s go,” Amren says, not taking her eyes off y/n.
“You can’t be serious?!” I shouted, there was no way I was leaving her down there.
“Did you not hear me, Rhysand? She will destroy this entire court if there is not something to subdue her power!” Amren shouts at me, for someone so small she was a commanding force.
“I can’t carry her, my arms,” I say looking down at the burnt flesh.
“Ward yourself, it won’t protect you completely but it’ll help,” Amren says.
I focus my power on a thin ward around my body and scoop y/n into my arms. The flames that radiate off her are searing but he wards are helping just enough so that I can carry her. We winnow into the cells under the Hewn City and just as the shield around my arms are starting to falter I drop y/n into the most heavily warded cell.
The prison is dark and damp, the condensation from above us dripping onto my hair. A chill runs down my spine as a draft blows over us. No wonder Azriel was able to break people so quickly down here, the environment itself was hell. Yet as I closed the cell I could see the violet flames on y/n’s skin dying down, reducing themselves to mere flickers.
“I’ll head to the archives and see what I can find out,” Amren says, placing a hand on my shoulder as if she can sense my despair. I had watched my mate walk off with my worst enemy and now my sister's life was in danger from a power I knew nothing about.
“Thank you,” I say quietly watching y/n through the bars.
“You will need to keep her there until she can learn to control it. She’s a danger to the city, but she is also a danger to herself Rhysand,” Amren explains and all I can offer her is a shallow nod.
Before I left I said a silent prayer to the Mother, begging her not to let me lose my sister, not when I had just gotten her back.
Tumblr media
Rhys pov:
He is awake…
Azriel’s voice drifted through my mind, uttering the words I had dreaded hearing. Of course I wanted Cassian to be okay, I knew he would be. But how did I tell him that his mate, his wife, his reason for being alive was…different. That when he saw her he wouldn’t be able to touch her, hold her.
How did I explain why she had to be locked in the cell before me when I didn’t even understand it myself?
I sighed and stood from the rickety wooden stool I had been sitting on for hours. I tried to talk to y/n, but all I got from her were shaky breaths and grumbles. At least she was alive, even if her mind was foggy.
I winnowed to the townhouse where Azriel was already talking to Cassian. My general’s wings bandaged up and down, but healing, and soon to be whole.
“Here talk to Rhys,” Azriel said calmly, gesturing to me. I could already tell that he had interrogated Azriel to death, the shadowsinger's eyes weak and weary.
Cass turned to me with pleading eyes, “Where is she Rhys?” he stalked over to me.
“Now Cass-” I replied, raising my hands trying to show him I meant no harm, like that would ever calm a mated male.
“Where is my wife?” he growled, those hazel eyes burning with a flame I had only seen on two occasions, on the battlefield and when he thought y/n was dead on the Winter Court border.
“She’s here, in the Night Court,” I answered, telling at least some form of the truth.
His eyes flared again not happy with my half answer, “Where in the Night Court?!” his composure was dancing on a tightrope.
I sighed, “You have to know that she’s different Cass. She’s…changed. When she was put in the Cauldron something awakened inside of her. Her power is rising, burning inside of her and we can’t control it or stop it.”
He grips the dirty collar of my shirt, “Where. Is. She.”
“We had to put her somewhere warded. Somewhere she wouldn’t be a danger to herself, to others.” I say not wanting to utter where my little sister truly  was, not wanting to feel the shame.
“You didn’t-”
“I didn’t have a choice,” I pleaded with the male.
Cassian released me and made for the balcony, it wasn’t until he flung open the doors that he realized that he couldn’t fly to her, his broken wings hindering him from acting on his instincts. His shoulders tense and then roll as he growls and turns his head.
“Take me to her,” he says with a calm that is almost more terrifying than his rage.
I sigh once more crossing the floor to envelope us in shadow. I smell the prison before I see it, and Cassian does too, shivering as the darkness parts. Y/n is exactly how I left her, curled into a ball, violet flames dancing over her skin, but breathing.
Cassian goes to unlock the cell but the lock is warded, only I can open it. He turns to me again, the look on his face sending chills down his body.
“Get her the fuck out of there!” he growls and I swear I hear y/n let out a whimper.
“I’m sorry Cassain, I can’t do that,” I say, ducking my  head to my shoes, feeling the shame of the predicament.
“BULLSHIT! LET HER OUT!” Cassian’s scream ricochets off the stone walls hurting my ears. “She’s freezing in there! You’re going to kill her!” he shouted once again.
Amren came to stand beside me, watching the sad scene before us. Cassian dropped to his knees outside the cell and reached out a trembling hand, but as far as he strained she was just out of reach.
“Princess? Princess? Can you hear me?” he pleads to a bundle of power that doesn’t do anything more than shift a bit. The breaking in his voice is not a sound I would soon forget.
“She’s not freezing to death Cassian,” Amren spoke with cool calm. “In fact it’s quite the opposite, she’s burning up. Look at Rhysand’s arms if you require proof.”
Cassian turns around and I lower my arms from where they were crossed over my chest. The burn marks are nearly gone, having been healed, but they are still there nonetheless.
“What the hell happened to her?” He asked, turning to Amren, his hands not leaving the bars of the cell, like we might rip him away at any moment.
“The Cauldron awoke a power that was already in her, lying dormant. It’s an old bloodline, tainted with the Night Court’s magic. She’s similar to Rhysand, but different.” Amren explains.
“Trust me putting my little sister in a cell is the last thing I want to do, but if she looses control she might end us all.” I explain but it doesn’t take the anguish out of Cassain’s face, nor does it take him from her cell.
Hours pass by and not a murmur, not a movement had come from y/n. She lays just as she was when I dropped her in here. At some point Cassian had taken to laying down on his side and reaching his arm through the cell, just in case she did wake up. I left them both, knowing Cass would tell me when she woke up.
I thought sleep would take me as I lay in bed, but without Feyre it was hard. Images of her going with Tamlin plagued my mind. The sound of y/n being pulled from the Cauldron made my stomach churn. In my 500 years I had never been afraid of power. But whatever the Cauldron had done with y/n? I shook my  head at the thought.
An old bloodline… Amren had said, but it was more than that. The faintest hint of violet that tinted that flame was evidence enough. It was enough to make me feel true fear. Whatever the Cauldron had made her was the most powerful thing I had ever seen and I prayed to the Mother it wouldn’t consume her whole.
Tumblr media
y/n’s pov:
I woke to a flame so hot it was cold, like ice.
The faint dripping overhead into a puddle echoed throughout the room. A musty smell of earth and mud filling my nose. But all my senses were overtaken by the sheer power that erupted in my veins and in my head. Like it was singing to me but I couldn't make out the words.
My eyes flutter open and I’m met with a blurred darkness, a faint light, bars and a lump before me. As my vision focuses I see that Cassian is in a cell before me. No, I’m in the cell.
I looked at his bandaged wings and recalled his screams from when they were being shredded.  How I shouted one last goodbye thinking at least one of us wouldn’t live to escape that palace. Yet here I was, alive, and there he laid before me. Broken and bruised, but his chest rising and falling.
His hand was so close to me, reaching through the bars. As if he tried to get as close as he possibly could.  I go to touch him, but my eyes snag on the flames dancing over my hand and I pull back.
“Cass,” I rasp out, my voice weak and quiet.
His hazel eyes flutter open and find mine, as he sits up hurried.
“Princess oh thank the Cauldron you’re awake,” he breathes, reaching his hand through the bars.
I think to reach out and touch him but a voice echoes through the room.
“Don’t!” my brother shouts winnowing in. Both Cassain and I turn to Rhys. He looks as if he hadn’t slept in days, hair disheveled, eyes tired. “You’ll burn him.” he warns me and I pull my hand back so quickly you would think I scorched myself.
The roaring in my head grows louder and louder, my flames around me grow higher and higher as if responding to my emotions. The once dark cell illuminated in violet.
“Shit,” I hear my brother mutter.
“I’m scared,” I say, covering my ears as if the sound isn’t internal. “What’s happening to me?”
The white noise that sings and sings to me grows louder and louder until I can’t hear my own thoughts. Cassian’s voice cleaves through the noise…
“Y/n, listen to me you have to calm down Princess. You have to breathe, you can’t let it win,” he pleads with me.
But his voice only  reminds me that I’m in here and he is out there. That all I want is for my mate to hold me, to feel him cradle me into his chest and kiss my brow, and I can’t even touch him. I can’t even be in the same room as him. My agony consumes me and through the raging sound inside me, I can faintly hear the sounds of shouting from outside the cell.
Heat singes my every nerve, panic pulls me deeper into the power I’m trying so hard to fight.
A creaky iron door opens, two hands brush my temple, the roaring in my head quiets and then I know nothing but peace.

HOTD S1: Aegon serially rapes servant girls and watches flea bottom children fight in the pits for his entertainment - his own illegitimate child among them. We follow Ser Erryk and Arryk on a tour of the worst of Aegon in a Green-centric episode, dedicating a huge chunk of the episode to building up to Erryk's moral decision to back Rhaenyra as Queen instead, choosing her not just out of duty but out of a meritocratic comparison.
TG: B-But it's because his terminally ill evil dad didn't love him 🥺 And he doesn't know what rape is, it was just a misunderstanding! And WHY is it his responsibility to look after an illegitimate child he didn't want 🥺 ANYWAY this was just Mushroom slander the show is just anti-Green and pro-Black and what do you mean Daemon didn't kill his wife in the book? What do you mean Aemond killed Luke on purpose? What do you mean Alicent bullied a child? What do you mean Criston groomed a 7-year-old? Did MUSHROOM tell you that-
HOTD S2: Did you know Aegon cares about the SMALLFOLK? He cares about the SMALLFOLK. Have we mentioned how much Aegon cares about the SMALLFOLK yet? He really does care about the SMALLFOLK- and he's a really really really good dad-
TG: 😍 SEE he's trying really hard and he cares about the SMALLFOLK! 😍 I bet Rhaenyra doesn't care about the smallfolk (when Aegon lands HIS dragon I bet they don't run away screaming, they know Aegon has a nice friendly dragon who wouldn't hurt a fly and is a nice nuke, unlike other evil nuke dragons that the evil bad coloniser targs ride 😡). And he's such a good dad he loves his son so much he's a good dad - and when he was watching the flea bottom children fight for his entertainment he didn't know one of them was his child so that's alright then-
Meanwhile Aegon III and Gaemon Palehair: Are we a joke to you?
Queen Alicent had reluctantly agreed to the betrothal of her granddaughter to Rhaenyra’s son, but she had done so without the king’s consent. Aegon II had other ideas. He wished to marry Cassandra Baratheon at once, for “she will give me strong sons, worthy of the Iron Throne.” Nor would he allow Prince Aegon to wed his daughter, and perhaps sire sons who might muddy the succession.
“Cut off one of the boy’s ears and send it to Lord Tully. Warn them he will lose another part for every mile they advance.” “Yes,” Aegon II said. “Good. It shall be done.”
“I mean to give the small folk peace and food and justice. If that will not suffice to win their love, let Mushroom make a progress. Or perhaps we might send a dancing bear. Someone once told me that the commons love nothing half so much as dancing bears. You may call a halt to this feast tonight as well. Send the lords home to their own keeps and give the food to the hungry. Full bellies and dancing bears shall be my policy.”
King Aegon himself, when asked, put forward his cupbearer, Gaemon Palehair, reminding the regents that the boy had “been a king before.”
Aegon seemed to have only one companion he cared about. Gaemon Palehair, his six-year-old cupbearer and food taster, not only shared all of the king’s meals, but oft accompanied him to the yard, as Ser Gareth did not fail to note. As a bastard born of a whore, Gaemon counted for little in the court, so when Ser Gareth asked Lord Peake to make the lad the king’s whipping boy, the Hand was pleased to do so. Thereafter any misbehavior, laziness, or truculence on King Aegon’s part resulted in punishment for his friend. Gaemon’s blood and Gaemon’s tears reached the king as none of Gareth Long’s words ever had, and His Grace’s improvement was soon marked by every man who watched him in the castle yard, but the king’s mislike of his teacher only deepened.
