I'm not sure if its pretty much the same as my biased groups/soloists. Really, my basis for it largely depends on the question "Will they cheat on their significant other?" if the answer is no then I am just drooling 😋

I made this list from the get go. I still stand by my statement about whoever I find hottest at a specific night trumps over whoever's below my top 3 girls of all time. Literally, if this was asked to me on a different day, I bet I'd have different answers

Soooo many people love her so much, its insane. But hey, at least whenever I see people fawn over this angel, it makes my brain instantly jump to how I'd take her from them. Hehe.

8. Ahn Yujin/Jang Wonyoung

3. Kim Dahyun

There's a reason this girl starred in my debut story. She's so pure. So light. So wholesome. She is love. I just know she's the type to fight tooth and nail to have the most romantic, traditional relationship known to man. And that's the very reason my brain goes cuckoo about all the nasty ways she can be used as a means for cucking.

2. Kwon Eunbi

This woman is just BUILT to be in RPs/smuts. There are so many avenues to her. Subby. Dommy. Mommy. Baby. Wholesome. You name it, she fits into it. The fact that I've already thought of a prompt for her while I'm writing this already speaks levels to her writeability: Imagine her bf being the one who first encouraged her to go wild in waterbomb 2023. At the moment, BF pats himself in the back for being the one responsible for Kwon Eunbi's spike in popularity, but these days? He's forced to turn a blind eye at Eunbi's multiple meetings with different investors, promoters, brands, etc. all of which always leads to Eunbi going home late at night. "I got the gig!" the BF hears every night, with her outfit an inch away from being undone.

Last but not least is my #1 girl. As someone who is head over heels for this woman, I can say with full confidence that my brain will —and ALWAYS WILL— melt at the thought of Lee Chaeyeon being used in a cucking scenario. Hell, the small matter of her (rarely) being posted on lewding sites is enough to make me rockhard. 🤤

I'll be answering all of them for A Hero's Call.

1. What was the first part of your WIP that you created?

The very first part of A Hero's Call that I created was the concept of dimension jumping in general. It was inspired by both the ghost portals from Danny Phantom and my middle school self's mighty need for crossover content from my favorite shows, and then I kind of just made a self insert to make those crossovers happen, and that self insert evolved into Kira.

2. If your story was a TV show, what would the intro song be?

So, when I was young and naive and didn't know how filmmaking worked, I wanted A Hero's Call to be a tv show. The intro song was always gonna be some sort of early 2000's rock/emo/metal song, and I almost always came back to In The End by Black Veil Brides. And honestly, I still stand by that.

3. Who are your favourite character(s) and why?

So, I love Kira, I really do, she's the main character after all. HOWEVER, my blorbos for the series are definitely Lucent and Cairn, which is really funny if you have the knowledge I do (that knowledge being that Lucent has ice powers and Cairn has fire powers). Lucent was a character I originally made to rp with some friends without having to use my already established characters, because I was weird and had stupid hangups about sharing my work, and she's kind of become my punching bag OC of the series which is how I know she's one of my favorites. I love making her go through physical and emotional torment.

Cairn is just fun for me to think about conceptually, because he's a villain that really could have chosen redemption, and he almost does at quite a few different points in his life, but ultimately he succumbs to the cycle of abuse and gives in to that darker side of himself. Also the thought of this very inhuman-looking dude having a Tumblr is SO funny to me (he is canonically VERY internet-savvy).

4. What other pieces of media could share a fan base with your WIP?

Any number of media pieces tbh, but the biggest one would probably be Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which was a HUGE inspiration for this project.

5. What has been your biggest struggle while writing your WIP?

Writing the beginning of it. I've struggled so hard with it and I can never figure out what's holding me back, which annoys me. And the more I write the more I discover that when I have all the pieces to a story that I want to tell, the writing starts flowing eventually. But with this WIP I've just had to drag those first few chapters out kicking and screaming from my brain and I can tell something is missing, but I don't know what.

6. Are there any animals in your story?

Yes, there are. There's the Shade family dog, a golden retriever named Gary (who is, in fact, just my real dog inserted into the story), and there's also Lucent's "pet" Jannik, who is a ferret-like creature called a skitnik. Emily and Pickle are ranch kids so they have a ton of animals that sometimes get mentioned, but Gary and Jannik are more central to the plot than those animals are.

7. How do your characters get around?

All the normal ways you would get around in rural Wyoming in the 2010's (cars, horses, off-road vehicles, etc). And, of course, dimension jumping.

8. What part of your WIP are you working on right now?

I'm rewriting the first few chapters (again) to try and get them ready to post on AO3 because I've been churning out fanfiction nonstop because of how much the kudos and comments go to my head, so I want to see if putting my original works on AO3 would spur me on to work on them more.

9. What aspects of your WIP do you think will draw people in?

I think that the characters and the worldbuilding will be the major draws for people, cause I have a LOT of lore and a lot of fun characters to introduce and I think it'll be fun for people to explore.

How many words have you written this year?

438,169 posted to AO3, and though this is artificially inflated by a good portion of it being RP and continued works from 2021, I also wrote way more than that besides (isolated scenes, pure wank material, stuff that will never see the light of day, etc.)

I’d like to thank a new fandom getting its hooks in me (OFMD) and the ending of Roswell New Mexico being so inspiringly bad for those high numbers, up from 166k in 2021 and getting me almost up to my 2020 levels (514k). 

2. How many works did you publish this year?

69 - LMAO that was NOT on purpose.

(That's an average of 6.3k per fic.)

3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?

I really enjoyed writing Hell of a Night: it was angsty and dramatic, but I liked making Stede and Ed fight a literal Kraken before they could get back together.

4. What work of yours has the most hits?

World Enough and Time - OFMD, rated E, published at a sweet spot for people interested in reading Stede/Ed. I was proud of the use of contemporary poetry, though, and very proud of the goofy sex those old men got up to in that. 

5. What work of yours got more feedback than you expected?

Start Where You Are (and Change the Ending) had some great conversations in the comments I feel like, mostly about Izzy. I wanted to get the antagonist thing right and not make him cartoonish. I feel I did that, but it’s way more work than I want to put into his character in the future, as I just don't care for him personally. Anyway, good conversations were had in the comments here, and that’s what I consider to be good feedback.

7. If you use song lyrics, which artist's songs did you pull from the most?

I think I saved myself from being a Fall Out Boy bitch by being a Halsey bitch first and foremost. Am I mad I used “The Lighthouse” lyrics for RNM fics before I started writing OFMD fics? Yes. Still mad. 

8. Pairing you wrote the most for this year?

Malexa with 28, followed by Blackbonnet at 16

9. Favorite pairing you wrote for this year?

Definitely those two, Malexa and Blackbonnet. I not only can't choose between them but I'll add Kyle/Max/Liz, Michael & Liz, and Maria/Kyle as honorable mentions. 

10. What work was the quickest to write?

That’s not an entirely fair question because I have so many short works that I banged out in one sitting. Also I usually have no problem getting words down once I have an idea and I have the time: it’s why I love prompts. 

11. What work took you the longest to write?

What We've Built probably took the longest by word count ratio because I kept crying during the writing of it. 

12. How many WIP's do you have in your docs for next year?

Shhhhhh. If I don’t promise anything I don’t disappoint anyone (including myself).

13. What's your longest work of the year?

With @haloud, and also continued from 2020: I Was Just An Only Child of the Universe (And Then I Found You) (117,908 words)

All of them. I have 17 works marked as incomplete and I will always consider them on my to-do list. Updates could happen at any time. You don’t know.

I made an effort to add “Humor” to my tags this year because it’s something I consider myself good at and thought I should advertise. 

17. Your favorite character to write this year?

By the numbers, Maria DeLuca, and that’s as it should be lol.

As far as an interesting new challenge, I’d say Stede Bonnet: it’s hard to reconcile him sounding fancy half the time and using scientific names for moths and yet also coming up with “Mr. Wavy-Blade.”  

18. The character that gave you the most trouble writing this year?

Alex Manes. Missing from most of season 4. Missing in our hearts since season 1. The version in my head is cool, it just kept getting harder and harder to reconcile him with canon. 

Also Izzy Hands, for reasons mentioned above. 

19. What's one pairing you want to explore next year?

I don’t know what new ones will grab me, otherwise more of the same!

“I would be pissed that you dropped a tripping hazard in front of a disabled veteran,” Alex said sternly, but Maria laughed before Michael had a chance to worry he was serious. Alex smiled. “No counting compulsion.”

Identity Crisis [Open RP]

“…come on, come on.” Issimo winced at the gravely tone of his voice, and smacked the side of his head again. Something internal clicked inside his head, and the Reploid perked up somewhat. Lifesavor would probably have his ass if he found out the spy were performing ‘percussive maintenance’ on himself, but he had little choice when his multi-faceted voice malfunctioned.

“Please be someone profess-oh, Light damn it!” Issimo cursed when the rocky growl of Sombre was replaced by the sultry purr of Kandy Kat. Ugh, he’d just traded one evil for another….Issimo gave himself another smack to the head, and then another for good measure until he felt a ‘click’.

“Whew…now, if we can jus-Ah, no! Damnit, you’re even worse!” The Reploid groaned and buried his head in his hands to muffle the smooth, dulcet tones of a very recognizable pop star. Oh, of all days for this to be happening…he had a mission debrief to attend in just five minutes!

“One last try…” Issimo resigned himself to another smack with a sigh. He couldn’t go through the debrief with a voice like this. Kandy Kat would have been embarrassing, sure, but Acoustikat was supposed to be a secret! A slightly outdated one, granted, but a secret nonetheless! Another smack, another ‘click’, and Issimo mentally braced himself.

“Please be normal, plea-….oh, no.” He sighed in Viking’s deeper, smoother voice. That still wasn’t right. But he didn’t have time to try again…and all this banging was starting to give him a headache. “Screw it. You’re close enough.” The Reploid straightened up, and turned around to leave the lounge…

….only to realize that it wasn’t as empty as it had been when he’d come in. Issimo’s green eyes widened, and he froze in mid-step. Oh, no. Did this person see him smacking his own head and yelling in four different voices? There were already too many rumors about him - he didn’t need yet another to start circulating!

“Uh…hi.” Issimo winced internally. “You, uh…didn’t see that….did you?”

Feline Fine

Ghost lazily sprawled out on the roof, the occupants of the building unaware of his presence. The sun had yet to make the world too hot. It was the perfect opportunity to get a little sunshine and a view of the city. People went about their lives below, conversations humming softly. The otherwise steady thrum of life was infrequently punctured by laughter or a honking car.

On the roof, the humming below was joined by purring, the pale Xelbot rolling into his other side. His long, fluffy tail flicked as he stretched back out. Mist gray eyes closed, the purring growing louder. Ghost was certainly enjoying the morning.

The feline was still for a few minutes longer before rolling onto his stomach and standing. He was hungry. It was time to hunt, be it for something from a street vendor or a fresh caught forest creature. But... Grilled fish sounded particularly appetizing, especially with some lemon and well seasoned...

Thoughts of breakfast were interrupted by someone approaching him. One ear turned towards the sound, before the rest of his head followed. He gave a small 'mrrrbp' sound of interest as he looked at his mystery rooftop companion.

The use of “Beauregard” vs “Beau”

Let’s start off with some disclaimers. All of this data was taken from the transcript search tool which is not perfect. I noticed a few errors after I made the chart, but we’ll get to that later. I’m not touching Matt’s usage for obvious reasons. I also did not go individual entries on Liam or Sam. I don’t have that amount of time. Anyways, onto the show.

Saving Ashley for the end, Talisen has used “Beauregard” the least. Molly didn’t use it at all and the first time Caduceus said it in character was in episode 95. He has one misattributed to him from episode 68, an out of character joke in 78, and another spell in 120. This tends to be a common theme in the characters who rarely use her name- its used only in combat. My assumption is that Matt referring to her as Beauregard rubs off on them.

Next up is Laura with 6 attributed. None of hers were mislabeled. 3 of them were ooc jokes (eps 47, 106, 112). The other three involved her title being mentioned. (Archivist in 78, then expositor in 78 and 87). 

This is a second revelation: Beau is almost never called “Expositor Beau” (only twice, once by Marisha, once by Laura). It is almost always a variation of her full name (“Expositor Beauregard” has 11 mentions, “Expositor Beauregard Lionett” has 2, and “Expositor Lionett” has 6)

Then comes Travis with 10. One of them is mislabeled. 4 of them are out of character (13, 100,102,123; one being about the Beau/Yasha rap video). Episode 9 has him complementing “Beau” as a nickname. 71, 92 & 122 are all in casual conversation. 89 is an introduction. There isn’t much to say about his usage here.

For shits and giggles, Marisha has 38 “Beauregard'' attributions. 2 of them were mislabeled, 5 ooc, 4 from jokes, and 1 from when she was playing Caleb (More on that later). She introduces herself as Beauregard a grand total of 23 times. 8 of those times involved invoking the Cobalt Soul (4 pre expositor-ship, 4 after). Another 3 were from their morning check-ins on Rumblscusp. 

Now for the fun ones. Liam has used “Beauregard” more than any other player and interestingly, more than he says “Beau” at a rate of almost 3 times as much. Marisha has noticed this enough that she had Caleb call her Beau when she was playing him. “Beauregard Lionett” was the name her parents gave her. I think Caleb’s view of family is the cause of this rp choice. Caleb sees the Mighty Nein as family. With both of them being humans, I believe he started to see Beau as a sister pretty early on. Him calling her “Beauregard” is a quiet acknowledgement of this. He’s saying “Hey, that name came from your family but, we’re your new family now”

Sam has a total of 63 “Beauregard” attributions. I think Veth uses “Beauregard” because Caleb does, but there’s also more. Even though she’s not necessarily a mom figure to the whole group, she is still, at heart, a mother. I think it could be a maternal instinct showing through. (Or, Sam is being Sam)

Now for the part that made me write this whole thing in the first place: Ashley. Ashley has the lowest amounts of mentions of Beau of the cast, but she was gone for a while, so that makes sense. But, most interestingly, she has used “Beauregard” once in the entire game. Now, you may be asking, “why is this so important?” The answer lies in the context. This takes place in episode 86 “The Cathedral”. 

Now she says this out of character, but my point still stands. Yasha is under mind control, Matt has tasked her with fighting the rest of the Mighty Nein. Beau is, unfortunately, the closest. Ashley says, “I see Beauregard, and I am going to slowly start walking towards her, raging and reckless.” Mind control Yasha lacks the level of care and love for Beau that she normally has. A mirror of Caleb, Yasha sees the name “Beauregard” as a sign of the past she left behind, a part of her she doesn’t care about anymore. 

In conclusion: Caleb calls Beau “Beauregard” because he sees her as family and Yasha never does because she sees her as separate from her past. Gay rights.

C3E06 mini reaction

I was sad and hormonal on my period so I watched three hours last night before I crashed.  Didn’t take any notes, so a bunch of this is going to be from recollection.

1) I like Ashton now!  e5 I was really warming up, and I full on like them now.  Very happy, because this means that I like the entire roster.  I admit, I’m not feeling as intrigued as I did with everyone as I did in C2, but I’m sure that’s coming from a case of knowing how C2 ends up, whereas C3 we’re still in the messy beginning.  I can’t remember how I felt with the C2 cast within watching 6 episodes, and with a rewatch obviously you’ve got all the info already.

2) It’s very odd the different levels of ‘open’ for this group, especially comparing to C2.  On the one hand, it’s really nice that they are being upfront with each other, at least somewhat, it gives it almost a stilted feeling at times?  Again though, this is episode SIX.  I’m sure in another ten/twenty episodes they’ll be flowing as smoothly as they were in C1 and C2.  It’s the difficulty in watching on a weekly basis versus binging the episodes.  A whole different experience!

3) Delilah Briarwood patron?  I admit, I didn’t see it coming.  I wonder if that’s why Laudna took her level in sorcerer, is the concept that she doesn’t want to be a warlock and instead wants to perform skills on her own abilities?  How much did Marisha pick this for mechanics versus RP?  CURIOUS

4) While I’m personally not feeling Dorym, I’m also not against it.  And there’s certainly aspects of the RP that leads into it.  We’ll see how it goes, maybe I’ll start feeling it.

5) I am really missing Travis.  It’s only been three episodes without him which really ISN’T that long in the long run, but watching it live makes it feel like forever.  I do wonder what is concept is where they would be meeting his PC ‘later on’ versus at the start.  Also, I completely understand why Matt insisted on having him play SOMEONE at the beginning now.  Imagine if Travis just straight up wasn’t there for the whole first six episodes!  They’re be a hell of an outcry.  Robbie is great, and I certainly don’t mind if he becomes full cast, but it just feels wrong without a main core member there.  There’s a part of me that wonders if Travis is leaving after the intros to go take care of Ronin, because it doesn’t seem like he’s watching just off stage - we would have heard him laugh at some point by now.  (also I still suspect we’re not getting the intro until we meet his PC, which is why I keep expecting it to happen!)

6) Seriously I love Fearne so much, and so much of it is because it’s allowing Ashley to play a much more front and center person who really makes big choices and strong roleplay.  She was so hampered due to Blindspot, and then with Yasha being a deliberately quiet character, so I’m so happy to see her chaos.

7) I really can’t wait to meet the NPC who is going to become the strong center for Matt.  Allura, Gilmore, and Kima were all for C1, Essek for C2, who will be the C3?  Probably won’t meet them for like 50 episodes!

8) Did they struggle this hard with the names before?  The SHITs and The Mighty Nein?  At least in C2, it seemed like the actual play leaned into the name with how frequently they were rolling 9, and it doesn’t seem like any of the players regretted having the name that they did.  Obviously Vox Machina was created after two years and was way more of a IRL group name rather than in IC group name.  I wonder how long it will take for them to create a name...because unlike ExU where they could get away without having one, I feel like we’re going to need one soon enough.

Over in the listed fandoms the Sherlock fandom continues to eat its Wheaties. With 59 signups, they lead MCU and Star Wars (33 each), by 26 entries! Rounding out the top spots there are Teen Wolf (30), Harry Potter (27), and Good Omens (26).

But that's not what this post is about. Nope.

This post is about bringing back the Unlisted Fandoms Challenge.

At stake: ultimate bragging rights for the power of your fandom. Which write-in fandom will end up having the highest number of contributors sign up to create works for it? Who will duke it out for the top spot this year? Who will triumph?

To get the challenge started, we’re sharing the complete list of write-in fandoms (102 so far!), and the number of contributors who’ve signed up to work in those fandom spaces. You can find it at the bottom of this post, below the cut. Mighty No. 18: Colosseum Clash (Close RP with cloakedspurs)

It was high noon in the Battle Colosseum in California; home to an annual tournament where the best of the best compete for fame, glory, and the love of beating the screws loose on each other.

And in this tournament, each robotics company issues their best fighters, with a big funding grant given to the winner. Every robotics engineer from across the globe gathers for this, and this time, it’s a four-on-four matchup. 

After going over their main lineup, and remembering that Beck was busy giving Trinity a proper tune-up after the infamous incident that occurred a few months prior. So, in response, they bring in four of their most powerful Mighty Numbers.

The first was Dynatron (Dyna for short); a cute, purple-haired robot known for her electric shocks and buzzing lisp.

The second was Brandish (Brand for short), a red ninja with a long snout/chin, twin blades, and swift attacks.

The third was Countershade (Or Shade), the robot equivalent to Clint Eastwood, with the ability to covertly snipe anything and anyone with ease with his built-in rifle.

And finally, we have Alligatone (or simply, Al), a cross between a pinstriped-suit-wearing mob boss and an alligator armed with a built-in Tommy-gun, and a thick, Chicago accent.

Alligatone and Countershade shared a mutual respect, and have worked a couple times before on missions. But is their first battle tournament, and we’ll see just how this unfolds...

Obviously that won’t be happening anymore.” Looking up at the red she tilted her head to the side. “Shall we make an exit and go get some real booze and have our own party?”

Misa layed in the bed with nothing but a tank top on her as she looked over at the sleeping male beside her. It wasn’t long before she began living a double life and keeping it completely under wraps. One part of her life was being the Second Kira and writing wrongs with Light Yagami who was Kira. It could be fun sometimes trying to impress her boyfriend and running from those who hunted them now. With Beyond Birthday sleeping next to her, she was working as a murderer with him. They both had Shinigami eyes which meant they could see somebody’s lifespan and knew when they would die. Misa traded half her life for her gift but she was still unsure about her new partner in crime. Was he born with the eyes or did he also trade half his life for the eyes?

She looked down at her notebook beginning to write down her dreams and fantasies that she often thought of or dreamt of. There was a newspaper beside her that put out a warning and a curfew in affect for young people in order to keep them out of trouble. Nobody could stop the pair once they picked out a target and planned out their attacks. She looked over at Beyond and continued to watch him sleep beside her.

Misa layed awake in bed listening to the sounds of the heavy rain outside. The room was dark with a faint illumination of the red numbers on the digital clock. She had a male figure beside her sleeping next to her as she felt the radiating heat from his body. She sighed and closed her eyes as her mind was filled with thoughts of everything.
