Miles Morales Spider-Man #17
That wasn't bad. I liked that Miles wants to talk his way into helping Rabble. That's a good plan! It's going to go wrong, but I'm excited to see him try it out! I dig the team he has assembled as well and their dynamic. Kalama helping Shift out was cute. I hope that leads somewhere (not romantic). This should be an interesting run!

Marvel’s Next Big Crossover Event is “Gang War”
Marvel Comics announced its next big crossover event during San Diego Comic Con 2023. Gang War will spin out of Zeb Wells and John Romita Jr.’s Amazing Spider-Man run. November 2023’s prelude issues have been dubbed Gang War: First Strike. The Gang War storyline will then take place from December 2023 through March 2024′s issues of Amazing Spider-Man, Miles Morales: Spider-Man, Daredevil: Gang War, Spider-Woman, Luke Cage: Gang War, and Deadly Hands of Kung-Fu: Gang War.
“GANG WAR will see a war erupt between the gang lords of New York City, causing chaos throughout the Big Apple. Villains are fighting villains. Criminals are fighting criminals. Hobgoblin, Mr. Negative, the Owl, Shotgun, Diamondback, A.I.M., Hydra, and more battle with and against each other for NYC supremacy. For Peter Parker, “going on patrol” isn't enough... and he declares his own war on super-crime. It’s General Spidey at the helm, leading a group of heroes that includes fellow Spider-Man Miles Morales, She-Hulk, Daredevil, and Spider-Woman. Their goal: take down the super-gangs in under 48 hours. But what does Mayor Luke Cage and the city's strong anti-vigilante laws have to say about it? Will Jackpot gamble on getting involved? And is Shang-Chi a friend or foe? They better all figure it out before two classic villains make a game-changing return!” (Marvel Comics)

I have to say this (kindly): Miles Morales is NOT a niche character. He is different from Peter Parker, but he is still relatable and very everyman too. In his movie, I related a lot to him with his aspirations and how he constantly didn't see eye to eye with his dad.
Just as Peter being white didn't stop coloured people from identifying with him, Miles' colour doesn't stop white people (like me) from identifying with him. He's an everyman too, but people forget that the everyman is not cookie cutter.
Lots of kids don't get along with their mom or dad even when they are good and loving, struggle with wanting to pursue their aspirations instead of their parents' ideals, and face the challenge of having a big pair of shoes to fill.
The only difference between Miles and Peter that is truly significant is that Peter is an established iconic character while Miles is new, but that's it. Beyond that, Miles IS Spider-Man now. He isn't replacing Peter. He's getting ready to continue his amazing work.
