I think the millennials forget how old Gen Z actually is. Like girl, I’m 20. I’m an 03 baby and I’m 20. Just because I wasn’t old enough in the 2000s to own my own flip phone doesn’t mean I didn’t use my parents ones, my older cousins ones etc. I may not have had my own MySpace but I watched older family members use it. All these ‘what gen z thinks the 2000s was vs what it actually was’ posts don’t make any sense to me. Like??? We know what it was like because we were kids then, and kids are like sponges, they watch and REMEMBER EVERYTHING.

I know exactly what you guys were doing because I watched you do it. That’s where the nostalgia comes from, what I watched the teens do and the child oriented things I did. We’re not too young to remember the 2000s we just had a slightly different 2000s than you guys did.

Just to highlight how wonderfully unique Xena: Warrior Princess was.. In the first five minutes we've had Xena ride through a war ruined village, have flashbacks that she ordered it, give food to a child who's parents were killed in the conflict, and bury her armour and weapons. This weird guy was then immediately and comically introduced as a bad guy.

Then she fought him in what could be considered a shift, and introduced herself to the woman who would become the love of her life. She then snuck into a war camp led by an ex boyfriend with a silly haircut who recruited people into his band by having them SHOOT ARROWS AT HIM

About 10 minutes later she's fighting an INCREDIBLY whiny cyclops which she blinded years before. She wins in under a minute (after taunting him) by throwing her chakram at his belt and breaking it, which makes his trousers fall down, tripping him.

We are LESS THAN 15 minutes in. This show was WILD 😂

The Tarakudo Hanafuda Deck

Hey Guys, this is the kickstarter I had mentioned last week, and it's finally live! The goal is to do a run of card decks that are based off of the fictionalized version of hanafuda from the Jackie Chan Adventures cartoon.

When I was a tween, I used to consume a Goosebumps book in about an hour. Animorphs took me about an hour and a half. And I loved them.

Both series came out with a new book once a month. So basically, I got 2.5 hours of enjoyment from their content out of an average of 720 hours in a month. I fucking craved those hours. I lived for them.

Now I'm trying to imagine what life is like for someone born in 2006, not 1986. The sheer amount of content. The endless pile of stuff to bury yourself in. To shape yourself with. I cannot imagine.
