Sam and Tony watch Snow White and The Seven Dwarfts, but Tony is fairly sure that it’s not Snow White on screen, because he never remembers a proposal in the movie. | Sam Wilson/Tony Stark

Malibu is different for Sam, especially in the winter, since the house rebuild and the remodelling Tony suggested they come out for a weekend trip, away from the tower and the team just purly Tony and Sam. Despite it being Tony’s idea Sam can still find him in the lab over the 3 days that they stay in the winter, they always have dinner and go to bed together but it is peaceful to do their own things during the day.
Just maybe not today.
“Come watch a flim with me?” Sam leans on the labs door, looking at his boyfriend with adoration in his eyes, as Tony walks through the lab, headset on, black shirt, musles on point (which is a physical gain for Sam).
It’s not their annivevasary, nobodies birthday, but yet it feels like a special moment between them as Tony looks toward Sam. It’s sweet that even when they are in malibu and away from work so Tony can do whatever they want Sam can still convince him out of the lab. “When did you become such a film consour?” Tony teases turning off the holograms infront of him, taking off they ear pieces that control the nanobots of his newest suit.
Smiling Sam moves closer Towards Tony, bith of them meeting in the middle of the lab, “I haven’t had much else to do while we are here, and I thought I should take advantage of the cinema.” Sam brings his arsm around Tony’s shoulder, “I think you should take advantage of it with me,” Sam smiles brgiglht brushing his noes against Tony’s.
It doesn’t take much more convincing then that.
Tony smiles kissing him on the cheek, shutting down everything around him, “sounds like a plan.”
.
They sit down to watch Snow White as Sam declares that it should be their new years revolution as couple they should watch every disney movie, Tony just laughs.
“So we are starting with Snow White then?” Tony questions sitting down on a recliner cinema chair, monovouring his popcorn and drink to make sure they don’t spill at the couple sits down.
Sam corrects with a smile, “Snow White and The Seven Dwarves, actually,” it’s casual as he begins to munch on popcorn before it all even begins, leaning into to Tony’s embrace. The movie rolls without them even needing to ask JARVIS, opening on Snow White singing by the well.
.
Tony is shocked as Sam is crying in his arms as Snow White is placed into the glass coffin, but then something changes, the prince shows up and it’s not prince, well he is in prince gear but he looks a lot like Sam. The camera shift towards the coffin where Snow White is to lay but it isn’t Snow White, it’s a guy, a guy in very similar resemblance to Tony Stark. Prince Sam wakes up Prince Tony and the movie stops as Prince Sam gets on one knee, and Tony is so confused by the movie that he doesn’t realise that real life Sam does the same thing.
Tony on the screen seems frozen in time as he’s only just woken up and now the prince he had been destined for is proposing to.
The screen zooms in, lonney toons style and Prince Tony winks at him as the screen reading, ‘To Be Continued’ and it takes until them before he looks down a hand flying to his mouth. Sam is on one knee aswell, a ring box in his hand, opening up to a gorgeous gold ring with a ruby jewel encrusted into it.
“Tony from the day I met you I saw a future with you, once Rhodey introduced you as a menace I knee that I wanted you to be my menace. I wanted you to annoy me everyday, and have the experience of attempting to get you to sleep and sleep beside you in a much comfier bed then a camp single.” Tony is crying now, because the ring is beautiful and the speech is gorgeous, and Sam put so much effort into the proposal and the movie and it is very much them.
“Tony Stark will you be my menace, my partner, and my best friend for life? Will you marry me?”
Tony nods with a whispered out, “yes!” Which leaves Sam jumping for joy into Tony’s arms placing the ring on his finger, “no we’ll have to get you a ring of you own,” Tony tells Sam, happy to have his finance in his arms, and the ring doesn’t way him down as much as he thought ut ever would.
Sam smiles kissing Tony once again, “sounds like a future plan.”

Hi, happy blorbo blursday to you!! (As usual I am @writeblr-of-my-own)
How do your blorboes react when they get sick? Who gets sick more often? Who takes care of them? Who pushes trough the pain, and who gets in bed when they have the slightest cold? Who is super mad when they get ill and who does not mind? Go wild with this one!
Happy blorbo blursday to you too!
I'm gonna try to spread this out over my WIPs to make it more interesting.
Black and White
The answer is 100% Markov for almost all the parameters in the ask.
When he was working at the circus Reyna found out he was getting weird hallucinations (he fucked up his brain with his faustian bargain magic powers and sometimes has difficulty telling what is real and what is illusion) she told Johann and he freaked out. Johann is basically the dad of the younger people at the circus (except for Darius, he's been claimed by Diedrich as his New Son), so he immediately offered to take care of him and give him every medical resource available. Markov was like "ew no leave me alone" and refused everything.
But later in the story, after experiencing Growth(TM) and also horrifying torture at the hands of a god, he starts going to Darius whenever he needs help, since he considers him to be almost a brother to him. He asks Darius to hold his hand when it gets too much and Darius is very happy to do so.
Also, as a side note: Alphonse never got sick as a child because as soon as Diedrich, his father, heard him sneeze he'd go "let's heal that up with my magic powers". He gets super confused when his friends have to stay in bed for a few days to recover from a cold.
The as of yet unnamed Dystopia WIP
The obvious answer would be Cristover because he's the group's baby and has somehow amassed 4 and a half parental figures (you can find an informal introduction here). Or Nester's two (now dead) daughters, since he's one of the country's most renowned doctors (I kinda expand on his character here).
But the actual answer is Vi, who's sickly as hell. It's very hard to get a regular supply of your meds when you're a criminal on the run after a botched coup d'état, so he's constantly feeling Weak and Frail. He's like "Don't worry, I've dealt with this bitchass chronic illness all my life!" *is struggling to stay upright*. Veta and Veo, his two girlfriends, are very worried about him.
Devourer of Souls
Well you see. Seth is a very skilled healer, so his kids never get sick. Except for Kayla (name may be subject to change), who's allergic to magic like one would be allergic to polen, and starts sneezing uncontrollably whenever magic is used in her vicinity. The whole kids thing happens way later in the story, when he's like... 40-50 years old.
But the thing about Seth is that ge can't heal himself. So earlier in the story, when he was in his 20s-30s, whenever he went "ah, my leg hurts" in the beginning, his partner Teo would scoop him up like "Do not fear, my love!! I will help you!!" and he'd try to carry him until his arms gave out (which, when you're the strongest demigod to ever live, is a long fucking time). Teo eventually learned that that's not very nice.
(Here I should mention that Seth got his right leg busted early in his youth in a healing accident on which I'll elaborate at a later time, rendering it almost useless. He's kinda weak so that's why Teo was so adamant on carrying him around.)
Meanwhile Teo has no clue how to take care of himself. He's like *slowly losing pieces of his soul due to magic-related deterioration to the point that he barely feels human anymore* "Yea I'm fine".
I loved this ask! I do hope my response wasn't too long.

Friendly reminder that To Keep from Drowning will not be updating today.
As stated in my last authors note, I'm taking a few weeks off to rebuild my buffer system for the last six chapters and I'm currently in the midst of working on chapter 10 still. So far, I've still been working a lot of hours, so my hopes is to have at least 10, 11, and at least the first few pages of 12 complete before resuming updates, but I shouldn't be gone any longer than three weeks.
My expected update date for chapter 10 is June 9th and I promise that I'll make my return worth it for the last few chapters of the story.
Thank you all for your patience, and sorry for having to take a break from updates before continuing the story.

After looking through everyone’s social media profiles, Violet was convinced there was something more going on. Maybe her thought about having landed in a different universe wasn’t so wrong after all.
She started Googling stuff, searching through all types of News articles and blog posts from people who thought they had switched universes. Starting out a skeptic, Violet started to believe their stories more and more as it all sounded awfully familiar.
With her research and her mind set on the fact that she was, in fact, from another universe, she headed out to Julie’s garage where she knew she would find Carrie. She was the only one she trusted with this information, the only one that knew her well enough to know that this was in fact true.
“I found evidence!” Violet announced as she entered the familiar garage. Aside from waking up here yesterday after having fainted, she remembered it from her childhood as the four of them would hang out here often when they were friends still.
The three girls jumped, their heads snapping towards the girl in the doorway. With widened eyes, they watched the girl march into the garage with heaps of paper tucked underneath her arm which she set onto the coffee table with a heavy thud.
“Evidence for what?” Flynn asked, taking a look at the papers her friend had just dropped in front of her. Her forehead creased as she read aloud, “Alternate Universes: Real or myth?”
Carrie chuckled, “Are you serious, Vi? You can’t tell me you believe all of this crap, do you?”
Violet sat down on the couch next to Flynn and the movement caused the girl’s flowery perfume to well up to her nostrils, filling all her senses with the familiar scent. The Flynn she knew had the same perfume.
“I didn’t at first, but after doing some research, I’m starting to…”
Julie and Carrie exchanged concerned glances before turning to the girl as she started her monologue to try and convince the girls of her findings and theories. They wouldn’t just dismiss her without listening to her first, that wasn’t how their friendship was built.
“So, I found some scientific papers that show evidence of alternate universes or the multiverse. The multiverse is a hypothetical group of multiple universes, right? Together, these universes comprise everything that exists. The entirety of space, time, matter, energy, information, and the physical laws and constants that describe them. The different universes within the multiverse are called "parallel universes", “alternate universes” and so on,” she explained to the girls, showing that she actually did do her job.
“Yeah, but, sweetie, that’s all hypothetical. It’s not actually proven to be true…” Julie told her matter-of-factly.
Violet held up her finger. “That’s what I said,” she said and pried a piece of paper from between all the other pieces of paper. “But then I found this blog; Parallels.com. She tells this entire story about how, one day, she just landed in a completely different universe. The people were still the same, but they lived different lives.”
She handed Flynn the piece of paper first and the girl scanned the blog post to get an idea about it before handing it to Carrie. “You do know this is a hoax, right?” Carrie asked and passed it to Julie.
Violet’s eyes rolled back in her sockets. “You don’t believe me?” she asked and only got grimaces as response from the girls. “You don’t believe me…” She shook her head in disbelief before grabbing the bundle of evidence and leaving the garage. “I’ll make you believe me at some point!” she called out before completely disappearing from the girls’ sight.
Julie looked up from the piece of paper with the blog post printed on it. “Do you guys believe her?” she asked. Flynn and Carrie carefully shook their heads in response.
“I want to,” said Flynn. “I want to because she sounds so desperate for us to believe it, but I think she just hit her head when she fainted and it’s all a bit broken up there…” She gestured towards her own head.
Carrie let out a soft laugh at her friend’s reaction before turning to Julie and softening her face. “Do you believe her?”
“Kinda,” Julie shrugged and Carrie tilted her head to urge her to elaborate. “My mom’s always believed this stuff. When I was a child, she used to tell me stories like this, about a girl who switched places with her parallel self… It all sounded like a fairy tale because the girl fell in love and stayed in the same place…”
Flynn’s eyebrows furrowed. “That sounds familiar now.”
“What if it’s actually true? What if Violet actually switched places with her parallel self and this one is Violet from another universe?” Carrie pondered aloud. “That can’t be, right?”
Julie shrugged. “I don’t know what’s true, but I don’t think we should write her off as crazy just yet. Let’s wait until we have proper evidence and figure everything out properly…”
Flynn and Carrie nodded their heads in agreement before getting up from their spots and following Julie out of the garage. It was dinner time at the Molina’s, which meant Carrie and Flynn would have to go home.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, guys,” Julie greeted before she walked into her house where her mother was preparing dinner. The entire house smelled of pasteles con pollo, Julie’s favorite.
Though, right now, her mind kept wandering to Violet and her story. To the idea of parallel universes. What if it was true and they’d lost their own Violet? Would she even be able to get back?
“Mama,” Julie started cautiously as she set the table whilst her mother finished up cooking the meal. The woman hummed, urging her girl to continue. “What do you know about alternate universes? I remember you telling stories about it when we were younger…”
Rose dropped the fork she was holding, a loud clatter sounding through the kitchen, before she turned to face her daughter. There was a frown on her face and her eyebrows were furrowed. She looked angry, furious, even.
“Never, ever, ask me that question again. You hear me, mija?”
Rose had never raised her voice at Julie unless it was an exclamation of excitement during games night but never in anger. It kind of scared her, though worry for her mother rose to the surface, overtaking the fear.
“¿Qué pasa?” Ray asked as he walked into the kitchen with Carlos in tow.
Rose offered her husband a reassuring smile. “Nothing. It’s – nothing.” She took a deep breath. “Let’s eat before the pasteles get cold.”
Her mother’s reaction wasn’t a normal one and Julie knew this. She must know something. Something Julie wasn’t allowed to know. Something she was protecting Julie from. Or protecting herself from.
Either way, she knew something and Julie wasn’t going to let it rest. She would find out what this was all about, why she got so angry at her over a seemingly stupid question. So, when Julie got to school the next day, she told Flynn and Carrie about the entire conversation.
“And she just got mad?” Carrie asked, trying to piece the puzzle together.
“Furious!” Julie whisper-shouted.
Flynn shut her locker and clutched her books to her chest. “She knows something.”
“No shit, Sherlock,” Julie deadpanned. “I just – I wanna know what she knows. Maybe it’ll help with –” Carrie nudged Julie in the ribs, causing her to shut up. When she lifted her eyes, she realized why her friend nudged her.
Violet had entered the hallway and marched past the girls with a frown on her face. She was too deep in thought to even notice her friends at their locker. Her mind raced through the events from the previous days.
There had to be a way to prove that she wasn’t crazy. There had to be a way to prove that she wasn’t crazy, that what she thought was happening to her, was actually happening to her. Parallel universes existed and she knew it.
For an entire day, Violet pondered about it. During each class, she kept researching and researching. The people she knew weren’t the same people. They all had different lives. Bobby and his band were famous, Carrie wasn’t the lead singer of Dirty Candy, Kayla was, and they were friends with Julie and Flynn.
Every time she passed Carrie, Julie and Flynn, their conversation suddenly halted, signalling to Violet that they were, in fact, talking about her. That was all they seemed to do, talk about her, instead of talking to her. It was what she needed, a friend to guide her through these doubts and thoughts. A friend that would believe her.
Nearing the end of the school day, Violet made her way to her locker when she passed the trophy case in the hallway. From the corner of her eye, she noticed a picture of four people she knew very well. Upon closer inspection, she found Bobby, Luke, Reggie and Alex in an article in a local newspaper with the headline: “Local band takes the world by storm!”
Something that only fed into her curiosity and determination that she wasn’t in her universe anymore. Those Instagram profiles weren’t fake. They were actually famous. So famous, the school had to put them in the trophy case with all the lacrosse and cheerleading trophies.
Maybe if she showed this to the girls and told them, convincingly, that Sunset Curve split up in her universe and she spilt facts about that universe, maybe they would believe her after all.
Tumblr media
Bobby’s words had haunted Carrie’s mind for the rest of the day. When she dropped Violet off at her own house and she got back to the Wilson’s mansion, the words kept repeating themselves, echoing inside her mind.
What if Bobby was right? What if there was something like an alternate universe and Violet switched places with her parallel self? That couldn’t be real, right?
Skeptically, Carrie opened her laptop and started researching everything. She browsed the entire world wide web, in search for answers to all of her questions about the situation she had found herself in.
According to most websites, the idea of the multiverse is just hypothetical and no one had ever been able to prove that it was real. Though, some websites she found, actually found a handful of evidence for the theory, especially the blog posts she found with a similar story.
All of it seemed so interesting to Carrie and she had never been interested in anything aside from music. She barely even studied in school, why would she even try and study when she was going to make it big in the music industry?
But this was a whole different case. This was actually interesting. And it could help her understand what was going on with her best friend. Maybe this could make this more clear for the both of them and make things less scary.
With all of her research on the multiverse, Carrie knocked on Bobby’s bedroom door. After hearing a soft “come in”, Carrie cautiously opened the door and for a moment stood in his doorway, not knowing what to say.
“You okay, sis?” he asked, getting up from his king size bed.
Carrie took a deep breath before making a beeline for his desk in the corner of the room where she put her laptop down. “You might be right with your theory on the multiverse thing,” she muttered, piquing Bobby’s interest in an instant.
“What did you find?” he asked, his voice just above a whisper as though he was scared someone would hear him.
The Wilson sibling looked at the laptop screen together as Carrie started her explanation. “Mostly just that the theories are hypothetical and it’s never really been proven to exist, but I found a website that claims there are at least five possible theories that prove the multiverse exists.” If Bobby wasn’t so occupied by all the information on the theories, he would’ve been surprised his sister actually studied this stuff.
“There are infinite universes where we don’t know what space-time is exactly. The theory goes that it’s flat and goes on forever, or something. But with that in mind, it is possible that universes start repeating themselves.”
Bobby nodded his head, trying to accumulate all of this information in his tired brain. It had  been a long day and he honestly didn’t want to think about anything too much, but this was important.
“The second theory is the bubble universe. When we look at space-time as a whole, some areas of space stop inflating like the Big Bang inflated our own universe. Other universes will keep getting larger. So, if we picture our own universe as a bubble, it’s sitting in a network of bubble universes of space.”
Bobby’s forehead creased. Carrie had lost him in her cluster of theories. None of these sounded anything like what Violet was talking about. Her universe sounded like one different from theirs.
“Do any of these theories actually hold some resemblance to what Violet was talking about?” he asked, rubbing his right eye with his wrist to try and get some of the tiredness out.
“Yes,” Carrie responded and scrolled down a little on the website. “The theory of parallel universes. This theory suggests that space-time is flat, like that first theory suggested too, and with it, that universes repeat themselves. Infinite times over and over… This means there are cosmic patches exactly the same as ours, as well as patches that differ by just one particle’s position or two particle’s positions, and so on to the point where the particle’s positions differ completely from ours.”
Bobby slowly nodded his head, finally starting to understand the whole thing. “So, this Violet actually came from one of those cosmic patches where a few particle’s positions differ from ours?”
“Yes!”
“But how do you explain the switching? Is that a thing?”
Carrie leaned over and switched tabs on her internet browser where the blog post she found resided. “None of the scientific websites suggested it, but I did find this blogpost from Parallels.com.”
Bobby leaned closer to read the title and introduction of the post again and again before standing up again and looking at his sister while the gears in his brain started to work through the information.
“It sounds familiar, doesn’t it?” asked Carrie with a nervous smile.
Bobby hummed. “So, this woman from the blogpost, she actually went through the same thing? She switched places with her parallel self? Like Violet said she did?”
“Yep, it’s –” her sentence got cut off by the doorbell chiming through the mansion. Both Bobby and Carrie glanced at each other to check if either one was expecting anyone, but judging from either’s confusion, neither of them was.
Leaving the laptop in Bobby’s room, the siblings made their way downstairs and opened the front door to find the girl they had been talking about previously. She was drenched to the bone and her makeup had run out, leaving black streaks all over her cheeks. Carrie hadn’t even noticed it had started raining until now.
“Violet?” Carrie called out before opening the door further and letting the girl inside. “Are you okay?”
Violet’s face crumpled. Her lower lip quivered while her forehead creased and tears started rolling down her cheeks. On automatic pilot, Carrie wrapped her arms around her best friend, not even caring how wet and disgusting she was. The sobs that raked through her friend’s body were enough motivation to forget about all of that.
“My parents are divorced?” she cried out into Carrie’s hair.
The question and the heartbreak the girl was experiencing was enough evidence for Carrie to believe their theory. Violet got switched with her parallel self and her life looked a whole lot different from the one Carrie lived in.
“They have been for years, sweetie…” Carrie whispered, her hands soothingly rubbing the girl’s back. “But we’ve found a theory about your situation.”
Violet pulled back from the hug and wiped her cheeks with the sleeves of her sweater. “You do?” she sniffled and Carrie chuckled before tugging at the girl’s arm to guide her towards the sofa.
“Bobby, will you go and get my laptop? I’ll get us some drinks… We’re gonna be here a while…” Carrie ordered before walking into the kitchen to pour everyone a glass of fresh lemonade and then returning to the living room where she noticed Violet shivering. “And I’m gonna get you some clean clothes,” she muttered to herself.
When she returned again, Bobby had too. She handed Violet the clean clothes and then settled on the sofa with Bobby, waiting for Violet to get back. Once the team was complete, Carrie started explaining everything she had found about the universes. They discussed everything from the scientific articles to the blogpost they had found.
“So…” Violet started, ready to recollect her thoughts, “In this universe, Dirty Candy is famous and Sunset Curve isn’t? My parents are divorced and Rose has passed away?”
Carrie and Bobby both nodded their heads. “You switched places with our Violet,” Bobby clarified once more. “Like that girl from the blogpost did…” He gestured towards the laptop screen in front of them.
“Does it say how to get back?”
Carrie shook her head and opened her mouth to say something when the doorbell rang again. Confusion rose within the three teenagers on the couch. Neither of them expected someone to ring their doorbell.
The blonde girl got up from the couch and made her way towards the door to answer. To her surprise, her friends from Dirty Candy all stood in front of her, all ready in their dance gear. When Carrie’s eyes darted from girl to girl and outfit to outfit, the realization dawned on her.
“Shit…” she muttered. “I totally forgot about rehearsal, guys…”
The first girl’s eyebrows furrowed. Her darker skin glowed in the moonlight and her black hair fell perfectly across her shoulders. Her pink lips opened and closed, causing her to look like a goldfish as she didn’t know what to respond. “We always have rehearsals on Sunday night?”
“I know,” Carrie replied, “But I forgot it was Sunday and now I can’t really rehearse…”
The girl with the black hair Carrie knew as Kayla shook her head and pushed past the band’s lead singer. “Not a good enough excuse. We’re gonna rehearse. Is Violet here too?”
The three girls made a beeline for the living room where Bobby and Violet resided on the couch. Bobby had his arm around the back of the couch as Violet leaned back, making it look like the two had made it just a bit too cosy while Carrie was gone.
“Oh, what do we have here?” Kayla said in a teasing voice. “Getting comfy there with the sore loser, Vi?”
The brunette sat up straight whilst her heart started pounding in her throat and her hands were getting clammy. “Kayla…” she muttered, but then calmed down as she realized Kayla was probably not the same, mean Kayla as in her own universe.
Violet coughed, “What are you guys doing here?” she asked.
Kayla scoffed and exchanged glances with the other Dirty Candy members. “Seriously? Both of you forgot about the rehearsal?”
When Carrie glanced at Violet, the brunette on the couch looked petrified. Even if they did start the rehearsal, the girls would probably still notice something wasn’t right. Violet would have no idea what she had to do. She didn’t know the routines or songs.
“Vi actually got some pretty bad news today,” Carrie started her next excuse. “She uhm… her dog – her dog passed away today!”
Violet nodded her head in agreement to try and make it look as convincing as possible but she could tell neither of the girls actually believed them.
“Violet… You don’t have a dog?!” The girl with the black skin and gorgeous dark eyes pointed out. Violet recognized her from Kayla’s Dirty Candy, but she had no clue what her name was. All she knew was, that she found her insanely gorgeous.
Stuttering and panicking, Violet’s eyes flicked from the girls to Carrie and back before pretending to burst out into tears. “Not anymore!” she cried.
“That sucks, girl,” said the last girl, “But we can’t postpone the rehearsal. We have a gig next weekend!” The other girls all agreed with her and it only made Carrie and Violet more nervous.
As the Dirty Candy girls headed down to the rehearsal space, Carrie and Violet stayed back a little. The both of them had panicked looks on their faces, unsure about what to do in this situation.
“I’m not gonna be able to get anything right, Care! I know none of the dances, none of the songs! They’re gonna notice!”
Carrie grabbed Violet’s shoulders, forcing the girl to focus on her. “You’re gonna do fine, okay? And even if you don’t, we’ll blame it on your dog passing, yeah? Now take a breath.” Violet heaved in a deep breath before following Carrie to the rehearsal space.
“Let’s start with All Eyes On Me, yeah?” Carrie suggested while tapping away on an iPad before a bubblegum pop sound echoed through the speakers in the dance studio. It sounded way perkier than the music Violet was used to making with Carrie, Julie and Flynn.
Carrie’s voice carrying through the space startled Violet a little and the panic set in when the other girls started doing moves and steps Violet didn’t know. She looked around the room and tried to follow the girls, but it was practically impossible.
“Whenever I walk in the room All the focus on me The way I talk, the way I move They all want on my team”
Violet was always at least a count or two behind the other girls and more often than not, bumped into one of the girls, including Carrie.
“Not tryin' to brag, brag But I'm flawless I'm taking over your playlist Ain't perfect but I can't miss, yeah The party don't start 'til I walk in I'm stealing all the attention Don't get me started on mentions, yeah”
“Okay, stop, stop!” Kayla interrupted. “Vi, since when do you have so much trouble keeping up?!” the girl screeched at the failing band member, the frustration and annoyance audible in her voice.
Violet flinched at the loudness of Kayla’s voice and instinctively bowed her head down in defeat. She hated confrontation and she hated it when people yelled at her. It wasn’t something she was used to because she always made sure she wouldn’t disappoint people. Not her parents, not her friends. No one.
“Lay off her, Kayla. She’s struggling with the death of her dog…” Carrie defended her best friend and reached for the girl’s hand, giving it a comforting squeeze. “We’ll pick this back up tomorrow, yeah?”
Kayla narrowed her eyes at the two girls in front of her. Something wasn’t adding up, but she wasn’t in the mood to even ask about it. So, instead, she just scoffed and made a beeline for her stuff that she dropped to the floor upon entering. The other girls followed her example, saying goodbye to Carrie and Violet with an apologetic smile to the latter.
“Thank you, Carrie,” Violet said in a hushed tone when the girls had left the room. “And I’m sorry for messing it all up.”
Carrie chuckled and gave Violet’s hand another squeeze. “No need to apologize, you never learned the choreography or the songs, so there’s no way you’d be able to get them right now…”
Violet smiled a thankful smile before letting go of Carrie’s hand and pulling her sleeves back down her arms, sending a comfortable warmth through her body again. Everything still felt wet and damp and cold, even after the sweats she got from the sheer panic running through her veins.
“So…” Carrie then started, “Dirty Candy’s not a thing in your universe?”
“Oh, no… It is a thing… Just not ours.” Carrie tilted her head a little, confused. “It’s Kayla’s group…”
Carrie’s eyes widened and a furious heat rose to her cheeks. “It’s Kayla’s?!” she shouted and Violet nodded her head with a slight smile plastered on her face. “How dare she steal my limelight?! Dirty Candy’s my group! Not hers! Oh, wait until I see her again!”
“Babes… She won’t know what you’re talking about…” Violet told Carrie, chuckling slightly at the pure, raging passion that came out of the other girl’s mouth. “It’s a thing in my universe… Not here…”
Carrie fell silent for a moment, letting the words ring through her mind. “Right… How about we get you up to speed with Dirty Candy stuff, huh?”

Hey everyone. I really hope you all have had an okay month. You may have noticed, I’ve been a bit absent these past few weeks. Luckily, my queue is set up for nearly a month in advance. I want to make sure you are all okay and staying safe. I’m in isolation right now and trying to get my school work done. I don’t have much more to do, but hopefully, I can finish, and then maybe I’ll be able to get back into writing; it’s not like I don’t have the time.
It seems like this month was taken up by one of my favourite tv shows/series of shows: One Chicago (Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago PD), with the majority belonging to Jay Halstead from PD. I really like this series and the interconnected plotlines, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for something to watch.
Take a look at some talented authors and the fantastic work they’ve done. Great job, everyone.
Stay safe!

VI: And In Time These Things Shall Be Revealed
Tasha doesn’t think she can ever get used to this. She’s heading down the lab, right where Donald said he and Douglas will be, and just the act of standing still makes her feel like she will explode. Her husband didn’t give much information over the phone. All he said was that she needed to get back home, something happened, Chase was hurt, and Leo was kidnapped.
Her mind keeps zeroing in on those things: Leo kidnapped, Chase hurt.
She feels like she would pass out with how lit her nerves are with these alarming developments.
She thinks she might be a bad person for thinking it, but she’s not as worried about Chase as she is with Leo. It’s probably because Donald said that Chase has been taken to some superhero hospital, a place where many are trained to treat the kind of injuries he sustained.
There’s some assurance that he’s in good hands.
But her baby. Her baby…
She marches into the lab as soon as the doors open. The whole floor is electric with activity and overwhelming worry. When she gets in, she finds her brother-in-law hunched over the cyberdesk, frowning as he’s lost in his own task.
Meanwhile, her husband looks at her from a conversation he’s having with a man who comes across as strikingly familiar. “Tasha,” says Donald, exhaustion heavy under his eyes. He smiles. “You’re here.”
“I came as fast as I can,” she says, eyeing the tall blond in the red suit.
“Tasha, this is Tecton. Tecton, this is my wife Tasha. Leo’s mother.”
Tecton nods, smiling. “How are you doing?”
Tasha only watches him. “I’ve seen you before. You look familiar.”
“Probably Leo’s comic books. He’s the same Tecton,” Donald explains. “He’s a superhero. Turns out, they’re all real.”
Tasha nods, still unconvinced. It’s then she notices the teenage girl in magenta. “Kylie, right? Or is it Kayla? Thunderstorm or something like that?”
“Close enough. I’m Skylar Storm, Mrs. Davenport,” Skylar says, holding out her hand. She frowns as Tasha shakes her hand. “You know who I am.”
A small smile breaks through Tasha’s features. “Leo got me one of those small plush toys of you from a comic con they went to last year. For my desk at work,” she admits. “He says he got you because you’re cool and cute.”
It stuns Skylar for a second before a grateful smile comes to her face.
“Do we have any news yet about Leo?” Tasha asks her husband.
“No,” says Donald. “We’ve tried several times to ping his location using his phone, but it’s not working. My suspicion is that it got fried when he was attacked.”
“He was attacked?”
Donald nods wearily. “A man came to the island pretending to be a representative, asking for the transponder. He found Chase, Chase led him to the transponder…” He sighs. “Chase shouldn’t have trusted him. The man had superpowers. He wreaked havoc in the island and hurt a lot of people. Plus, he stole my invention.”
“You’re going to have to stop blaming the kid, Donnie,” Douglas chimes in, still engaged in his hack. “If the security on the island had been tighter, he wouldn’t have been able to come in.”
“Chase should have known better than to let that guy in.”
“He’s 18.”
“Exactly! He’s 18!”
“Donald!” Tasha intervenes, fired up once again. “You can’t just blame everything on the kids every time! You have as much to do about this!”
Donald blinks, bewildered. “Why are you blaming me?”
“Because if you had put as much work into protecting the kids in the island, in protecting Leo, as much as you’d protected Adam, Bree, and Chase from Krane? We wouldn’t be in this mess.”
“It wasn’t just my fault!”
“Does it really matter whose it is? Chase is in the hospital, and my son is missing,” Tasha heatedly points out. “What’s pointing fingers going to do to undo those things?”
She sees that her husband’s mind turns with more things to say, with things to justify himself with. However, exhaustion stops him from engaging in a fight.
That, and she thinks a small part of him agrees with her point.
It comes back to her then that they have company. She glances at them, sees the wary expression on their faces, and sighs. “I’m sorry. You shouldn’t have seen that,” she tells the two. “I’m just scared, that’s all.”
“It’s okay, Mrs. Davenport,” Skylar says. “It’s understandable.”
“How many hours since?”
“17 and a half, on my last count,” Douglas reports.
Tasha nods thoughtfully. They have just a little over 30 hours left—which feels like both long enough and too short a time.
“We’ve been doing our best to track the man who took him, too,” Tecton says. “Unfortunately, he hasn’t used his powers since we last saw him so there are no infrared trails to follow, but as soon as he does, we’ll be able to locate him.”
“What about that thing that he stole? Can’t you track that?”
“We tried,” says Douglas. He casts a loaded glance at his older brother before adding, “It’s a prototype, so it didn’t have any tracker on it. It hasn’t been used either. This guy is laying low for some reason.”
That only worsens the dread Tasha feels. She thinks about her son, thinks back on anything useful he could have told her, but nothing. She sighs, burying her face in her palms. “This guy,” she starts but doesn’t know if she has the strength to finish. “This guy, is he… Is he known for hurting children?”
Tecton and Skylar exchange glances, and Tasha feels like her heart has sunk. “We still don’t know why he took your son,” Tecton says. “If he sees use in him, it’s very likely that he will keep him alive.”
“Did he say anything why he took Leo?”
Skylar hesitates at first, looking at Donald for permission to continue.
“Say it.”
“He…He said because he didn’t kill Chase, Leo…was the payment.”
The breath in her lungs leaves her. She’s reminded of the time Krane took the two of them and used them to pressure her husband. This new enemy has what he needs from them; it doesn’t make much sense for him to do what he did. Does he need him to keep them at bay, to stop them from coming any closer?
Maybe that’s what it is. He’s using Leo as pawn.
Still, it devastates her that she has no way of making sure her child is alright. She wants to cry, because thoughts of how he is and how horribly his captor must be treating him are scaring her. “Who’s this guy? What do we know about him?”
“Not much. He goes by The Incapacitator,” Tecton answers. “His abilities are all energy-based. Before this moment, all he’d done is antagonize superheroes so we don’t know how he got his abilities.” A frown furrows his brows. “Although, there was a rumor going around that what happened to Victor Krane was his handiwork.”
Donald frowns. Even Douglas stops what he’s doing out of intrigue. “What do you mean it’s him?” Donald asks.
“The League caught wind about what happened, and we looked at the details of it,” Tecton shares. “From the autopsy report, it seems like both he and his top soldier were offed by energy blasts. Those burns… We’re still doing a follow-up, of course, but—”
“No, no. That was S-2. Those burns are from him,” Douglas says. However, he’s beginning to doubt it. “Leo told me that’s who he saw.”
“If he’d seen that Incapacitator guy before…” Donald’s frown slowly clears as a thought occurs to him.
That makes Tasha even more nervous. “What?”
“Leo. He didn’t look that scared when he saw him.”
“Wait. You think they know each other?” Skylar asks as Donald hurries over to the cyberdesk.
“I don’t know. But he didn’t seem too scared.”
“So, what, is this an inside job?” Tecton asks.
“Leo would never help a bad person do something wrong,” Tasha tells the superhero.
“No, no. He won’t,” Donald says. “He wasn’t scared, but he seemed very upset that he was there.” After a few clicks, the surveillance from the quarters comes up on the screen. He points at it as the interaction between Leo and the supervillain plays. “Look. He doesn’t feel the need to get away from him. Even when I told him to run, he didn’t.”
“He does seem really angry,” Skylar observes.
“And disappointed,” Tecton adds. He crosses his arms. “How do they know each other?”
“Incapacitator threatened to hurt me, but Leo asked him not to,” Donald explains as the video plays further. He sighs, putting his hands on his hips. “He did offer to open up the case just so the guy won’t burn my eye out.”
“Maybe he did it to protect you,” Skylar offers.
“Maybe.”
“No, but look – he tried to hurt Leo, too,” Douglas points. “Why would he do that if they’re working with each other?”
“Yeah.”
“It just doesn’t make sense. Leo’s a good kid. Why would he take part in a heist?”
“Has he been acting strangely lately?” Tecton asks. “It’s not beyond Incapacitator to manipulate others, especially a teenager.”
Donald sighs when the answer comes. “He’s been very upset with me these past few months,” he says. “He’s angry that I didn’t hire him on as a staff member for the bionic academy. He said he thinks he’s earned the right to be one.”
“Do you think he’d go as far as helping a supervillain just to get that point across?”
Donald thinks about it a moment. Then, he shakes his head. “He will complain and sulk, but he would never go that far.”
Tasha gasps at the surveillance.
Seeing that they’d gotten to the part of Leo’s abduction, Donald hurriedly pauses the video then minimizes it. “I’m sorry, Tasha,” he says contritely. “You shouldn’t have seen that.”
“No, no, no. That guy…” She frowns. “Put it back up. I want to see his face.”
Though confused, Donald does as she’s asked.
Tasha stares at the image for a few more seconds. Then, she feels as if her legs had lost strength.
“What?”
It’s been a while, but – is it really him? “Joel. That guy. His name is Joel Jones.” She looks at her husband. “He’s my ex-boyfriend.”
For a moment, Donald only stares. Then, he chuckles. “And I thought my dating history was terrible,” he comments. “Really, Tasha. I would have never pegged you to be the kind of person to date a man with superpowers. A terrible one at that. You could’ve done better.”
“Mm,” Douglas eyes Donald dryly. “The kids and I have always thought the same about you.”
“No, no, you don’t understand!” Tasha tells them. She huffs, feeling like her world is tilting upside down even more. “I didn’t know any of these things about him. When I met him, I thought he was just some college student from a nearby university.”
“He’s been an active supervillain since he was a teenager,” says Tecton.
“Well, I didn’t know that,” Tasha says defensively. She sighs. She should have listened to her mother. “If I had known that, I wouldn’t have gone out with him.”
Douglas shrugs. “I mean, you don’t have to go out with him now.”
Tasha glares. “Yeah,” she says, “but he has our son.”
“Wait,” Donald says. “What?”
“You mean…”
Tasha nods. “This Incapacitator,” she tells them. “He’s Leo’s father.”
The room lies motionless for a painfully long moment. Then: “The guy who broke into my island is your ex?!” Donald shatters the silence.
“I didn’t even know he’s still around! Everything was going well with our relationship. We were going to get married during spring break in Las Vegas, and then he vanished,” Tasha recounts, simmering. “I lost contact with him the same year, and he’s never shown up since.”
“But he knows you have a son together,” Tecton asks.
“I told him the night before the wedding,” Tasha says. “He looked shocked and conflicted, but I didn’t think much of it because I was nervous about the whole thing, too.”
“Maybe it was him that eliminated the two bionics, then,” Skylar says to Tecton. “He probably knew Leo was in danger, so he took them out.”
“But how could he know where we were then? We were hiding,” Douglas says. The answer hits him immediately. “He was on his phone that afternoon. I told him several times to put it away because we might get tracked—”
“So he does have contact with Incapacitator,” Tecton says.
“I mean, I didn’t know he’d put out a hit on him like that.”
“Leo would never do that,” Tasha defends her son. “Look. I know it seems like he’s in on these things that his father did, but he’s a good kid. I worked hard to raise him as a good person. He would never be involved in murder or robbery willingly like you’re suggesting!”
“We’re not saying that he is,” Donald says.
“Yes, you are! Donald, how could you—” Her shoulders fall as defeat presses on her heavier and her eyes sting. “How could you all even suggest that Leo’s a bad guy? My son has risked his life so many times to protect his siblings and to protect our family. Even when other people are mean to him, he stayed a good kid.”
She slowly collapses to the floor, Donald attempting to catch her by the arm. At that point, the tears come. “He just wants to help people,” she says, wiping them with the back of her hand. “How could you just turn on him like this?”
For a second time, the room lies motionless—only this time, it’s weighed with remorse and sympathy.
Donald sits beside her, putting an arm around her. “I’m sorry, Tasha,” he says gently. “It did seem that way. I’m sorry. Leo’s not a bad kid, I know he isn’t.”
“You know he’s willing to die for any of us. How could you even agree that he’s in on this?”
“I know. I’m sorry.” Donald looks up at their guests, back at his brother, and then says, “We’re going to find him. It’s important to me that we bring him home. I believe you. Leo made that deal to save me.”
“I apologize, too, Mrs. Davenport,” Tecton says, sitting down to meet her eyes. “I didn’t mean to make it sound like he assisted him. I got carried away.”
Tasha frowns at Tecton, still offended by the things he insinuated. However, instead of becoming angrier the longer she looks at his face, she finds that a faded memory only becomes clearer. “I have seen you before.”
“Sorry?”
“Joel’s car. He was dropping me off after a date one night. When he stepped out, I looked through his glove compartment for a tissue, and—I saw a planner with your picture on it.”
“A planner?”
“It looked like a planner. There were dates in there, notes…” Tasha’s watery eyes narrow. “I remember seeing information about you and four other people. One of them even upset me. He has a picture of a blonde girl.”
“Blonde.” Tecton looks at Skylar. “Solar Flare?”
“He’s probably been keeping tabs on you guys since then,” Skylar suggests. “Isn’t it around that time that the League of Heroes was re-established?”
Tecton nods. “Is there anything else you remember, Mrs. Davenport?”
“Nothing much, except that he got upset when he saw I was looking through it.”
Tecton sighs. “That’s always been the way he operates. Most of the time, he tells us he’s still around by leaving destroyed sites or dead bodies. He’s very sneaky and really good at hiding.”
“So, what is he, some sort of superhero assassin?” Tasha asks.
Tecton shrugs, unsure himself.
“You guys were able to follow him to the island,” Donald notes.
“It’s because he struck somewhere else first.”
Donald nods, understanding. “One of my buildings.”
“He wanted that transponder.”
“There was something else,” says Tasha, lost in thought. “There was a picture of something. It was like a pyramid, with this marble-looking thing in the middle. That stayed on my mind awhile.”
“A pyramid?” Donald repeats.
Tasha nods.
Realization dawns on Skylar. “Oh no.” She looks at Tecton with dread. “The Arcturion.”
Tecton groans, getting up to his feet. “That power source has only ever been bad news.”
“What’s the Arcturion?” Douglas asks.
“Alien power source. Kills any human that touches it, drains any non-human of any abilities,” Skylar answers.
“Except this time he doesn’t have to touch it.” When others turn to him, Tecton says, “The energy transponder. He can draw infinite amounts of power with it. If he finds the Arcturion, he can transform into a living nightmare and actually turn earth into a graveyard for superheroes.”
“Great. Another guy bent on leveling all of us,” Skylar laments. “Once we get our hands on that Arcturion, we should really just football toss it into the sun.”
“That can be arranged.”
“I still don’t understand why he took Leo,” Douglas muses. “If all he needs is the transponder, why would he take him?”
Donald shrugs. “Spend some time?”
“Yeah, but why would he go as far as hurting him?” Douglas stares thoughtfully at the cyberdesk, his mind at work.
“What are you thinking?” Donald prompts.
“Something sinister,” Douglas says. He crosses his arms. “The good thing is, I don’t think he’s going to hurt the kid. The bad thing is, I think he’s going to hurt the kid.”
“What?” Tasha says.
“It’s all just suspicion for now, but I just don’t like the timing of everything,” Douglas says. “It’s mainly because of the transponder, but – everything’s aligned. I think this is the perfect moment he might have been waiting for.”
“Douglas, you’re the only one who’d been an evil genius here. None of us are following,” Donald says.
“Think about it,” Douglas says. “This guy had been waiting to bring down the superheroes for the longest time. He’s been collecting information regarding the top players in the business for as far back as, what, twenty or so years? But he’s never attacked. He’s also been keeping an eye on that, what is that, Arcturion?
“I think Tecton’s right. When he hits, he wants all the superheroes gone. He’s going big, and I think he’s going all out.”
“But like you said, Leo’s got nothing to do with this,” Tasha points out.
“Leo’s got everything to do with this,” Douglas says. “There’s nothing scarier than a person who’s got nothing to lose. If that’s Incapacitator, if he’s the kind who’s willing to die for his cause, it’s likely that he’ll do everything to get it done. And between the kids and him…” He shrugs somberly. “The choice is obvious.
“Leo’s not a bad person, Tasha. I believe that,” Douglas continues. “But you’re right: he loves us. He loves his family.”
“Family, including his father,” Tecton supplies as he starts to understand.
“Ever since the academy was founded, he’s been feeling betrayed. If he’s been talking to his dad, then his dad knows how much everything upsets him,” Douglas tells Tasha.
He pauses for a moment, debating whether he should bring up the next point. “When...Marcus was still around, I gave him this one order, in case something happens to me while we were acting on our plan: get the job done, however way you can.”
Tasha’s frown clears. “You don’t mean…”
“There might be a lot more to your ex’s plan than we initially thought,” Douglas confirms. “If he succeeds, the superheroes are wiped out. If he fails and dies by the superheroes’ hands while Leo’s watching—”
“We might force Leo to follow his footsteps,” Skylar supplies.
Douglas nods in confirmation. “It’s like that question, one versus the many. Who do we save?”
“This is not good. I hope you’re wrong,” Tecton tells Douglas. “Reports are that The Incapacitator turned into a villain after his parents were killed in front of him.”
“You said yourself he was manipulative,” says Douglas. “We have to get Leo out of there before he can plant any bad ideas into his head, before anything goes down.”
Tasha lets out a shuddered breath. What upsets her more than the possibility of her son being emotionally manipulated is the fact that there’s a base for her ex to build on.
Douglas said he’s been feeling upset. How come she didn’t know? She frequently asked how he was doing whenever she called, and all he had ever said was that things were fine. Had her focus been so off that she didn’t recognize it? Her brother-in-law knows more about her child than she did. How did it get to that point?
“We’ll do our best to gather more information,” Tecton tells the family, getting back to his feet. “I’ll see if the League has something on Incapacitator. I’ll check the archives.”
“I’ll double check with Horace, too, and see if there’s anything he remembers hearing from people who’s encountered him,” Skylar says.
Donald nods. “Please update us as soon as you hear something.”
Tecton nods. “Mrs. Davenport, Mr. Davenport,” he nods to Tasha then Douglas. After Skylar does the same, both of them exit through the garage.
Once they’re gone, Tasha releases a weary breath.
“Are you okay? I know this isn’t something to come home to,” her husband asks her softly.
Tasha shakes her head. “I want to see the kids, Donald. I don’t like them being so far away from us. Where are they?”
“In Philadelphia, but I’ve fixed the Davenporter. It’s fully operational. If we head out to Davenport Industries now,” Donald consults his watch, “we’d be at the hospital in probably 40 minutes.”
“You guys should go. The kids need you,” Douglas agrees. “Adam texted me not too long ago, told me Chase hasn’t come to yet. I think he and Bree are getting a bit too shaken up by this.”
“What about the search?”
“What about it? I’m here,” Douglas says. As Donald helps Tasha up, he says, “There’s only one thing we can do on our end, and I can do it alone. Tasha, I know you don’t feel right about it, but I have to access the record of Leo’s text messages. His phone is out, but I might be able to ping his dad’s. All I need is a number.”
Douglas is right: she doesn’t feel right about it. If Leo finds out, he might think that none of them trusted him.
Still, it’s the only way to save him from his father right now. “Fine. Do whatever you need to do,” she says. “Just make sure Leo never finds out.”
“Evil genius here. I know how to cover my tracks,” Douglas says as he begins the work through the cyberdesk.
“You ready?” Donald asks.
“Wait. Maybe we should pack up some clothes for the children. Maybe bring some toiletries, too. Bree will only use one specific brand of toothbrush, and Chase needs his eye drops when he wakes up.”
An appreciative smile slowly stretches across Donald’s face. “I’ll get clothes for Adam and Chase, and you get Bree’s things and what you think the kids will also need.”
“We should pack up things for us, too.”
Donald nods.
“Meet you back here in 15?”
“Okay.”
At that, Tasha parts from her husband.
“Hey, honey?” Donald smiles when she looks back at him. “It’s all going to be okay. Chase and Leo will come home.”
Tasha only stares a while, processing everything. Then, she forces a smile to her face – a form of thanks.
Once he goes, she leaves for the elevator.
It’s all going to be okay. Chase and Leo will come home, the words ring in her head.
However, only one thing echoes back: Yes – but will they be the same?

nortey dowuona’s best of 2020
to be completely honest, I decided to do this entirely for TSJ. otherwise, I wouldn’t have bothered at all. Best end lists are for music nerds and billboard chart nerds and industry vultures, and i happen to be subscribed, in the discord and in the comments of the youtube vids of these folk. so, i decided to pick 10 out of random from the big best of 2020 i was compiling for the whole of the year, which I was gonna post to this Tumblr at the end of the damn year, but I guess I can just post the link to the playlist in the bottom of this post. Here, i’m gonna write about 10 songs I personally love, and pick out a few artists i specifically loved:
artist of the year.
RAP Ferreira put out his best album and best verses in a year everybody either stagnated, fell off or got rendered irrelevant by the world at large. He was ebullient, hilarious, thoughtful and even surprisingly honest. I enjoyed the fact that now he’s begun to create a real platform for many talented folx, and I hope he continues to do that in the margins and make even more beautiful music in the years to come.
rookie of the year.
Enny by a mile. Everybody else who debuted this year got hamstrung by the pandemic but she created 3 great songs, each thoughtful, insightful and a joy. Apparently she just started publicly releasing music to a large audience, and I hope she gets better and better, and even gets bigger than J-
most pleasant surprise.
Vic Mensa’s V Tape. An artist who I though had no more moves left completely turned around his whole career with a fantastic performance at Lollapalooza, a fantastic fleet of features and tis gorgeously produced EP which had some of his most brilliant songs on it. I love it all, Vic Mensah is well and truly back. Welcome back bro. (ALSO, DROP THE DRILL TRACK.)
GREAT THING A GHANAIAN ARTIST DID.
Strongman Burner, Amarae, Okunta Kinte, Vic Mensah in general.
cool things my friends and classmates did.
Justine Darcenne’s #4TheBaeless. Valencia Rae’s Siren thyhomebodies’s Coming of Age. (Phil, a producer in the group, made his own studio!) Brad built his own computer. petit abri put a track on APT9 Record’s compiliation album Volume II. khaalid anderson’s transitions. (khaalid will also be performing at Beats & Brunch on January 23, 2021 at 11 am.) Yannick Paul’s Bear Fruit. The Big Climax’s This Is Ya Boy kxng jetson’s Waves (ft. Kokko Williams & Mike Mezzl) Nicole Gonzalez performed in The Composer’s Melody. Victoria Marie released a bunch of beaufiful covers on her Insta, @toriiii_marie @ph0ssy_jaw works as a counselor online. Pay her at her PayPal. Johnny Aperano Yoba was on People AND Vogue. Dalitso is a wonderful pianist at his church back home in Zambia. Kobina is a fantastic drummer at his church. Kayla graduated with a BS in Music Technology and Industry! Damian been cookin on his insta. Travis graduated! (Look out for Clan of Dragons.) Rorghino Flores made a documentary! Francis (and Animax FYB) put out Mmofra on AmaLexPrime! (play it with yo kids.) A Hype has been dropping crazy all year, roll by his SoundCloud and check out Persistence Of Memory. Reina H been doing great covers on her Insta, @challenges_inlife. Hannah placed music on C. B. S.
best albums of the year (that nobody’s written about).
Maya Huyana -1991 DaWeirdo - Broke and Ugly $ilkMoney - Attack of the Future Shocked, Flesh Covered, Meatbags of the 85 VI Seconds - Because Why Not/Never Knows Best Erik Cain - Heart & Soul Vol. 2 Dimitri & the Scarecrow - Messenger is Sender (from 2015, finally got released onto streaming this year, still pretty great and another great Zimbabwean rapper for us to all fawn over, just like billy woods) Flowking Stone - Gifted 1 The Hoodies - Incommunicado Jayy Grams - Every Gram Counts Domo Genesis/Mike and Keys - Just in Case1/2 Madwiz - God’s Gold Teeth Maez301 - Hasaan Daara J Family - Yaamatele Dai Burger - Dessert EP TeePhlow - Road To Phlowducation II Tef Poe/Blvck Spade - Preacher in the Trap Terrell Hines - Portal One: The Mixtape redveil - niagara Nyukyung - Trap Harmonix AdrianXpression - Sucka Deante Hitchcock - Better (Deluxe) maassai & jWords - ve.loc.i.ty tobe nwigwe - cincoriginals everything Kelsey Lu did this year.
strangest things happening in music in general.
vic mensah actually making a great record. goldlink going through a narcissistic collapse and winding up making the best music of his career. redveil blowing up off Fantano calling him wack. pharoahe monch finally making a rock pivot and it actually works. meet me@the garden coming 10 years too late for my 14 year old self. RAP Ferreira being in the NYTimes, selling a vinyl record for $72, creating an actual nostrum grocers in a video game so we can listen to his next record. The entirety of the playboi carti phenomenom. The entirety of the lil uzi vert phenomenom. The entirety of Chance’s instagram EP being far more money worthy then the entirety of the Big Day and yet being released on Insta and not immediately monetized. Deante Hitchcock releasing a great album and being completely forgotten armand hammer releasing their underground kings wayyy too early. my ass continually not actually looking into amapiano despite always loving it when I review it. several good songs needing to be tacked on to a prior youtube vid as an ad for me to find them instead of actually listening to the artists. santan dave still releasing good verses after he made his illmatic. (expect his new album to suck.) slowthai becoming cake. (we let that go way too far.) Guapdad and BfB Packman being wonderful. Finding out BfB PAckman is a better rapper than Sada Baby. John Boyega putting on Ego Ella May. Having to admit Young Dolph was good all this time and i missed out like a fool.
best tv performance.
Chance The Rapper’s “A Chi-Town Christmas.” IDK’s “Change The Channel.” Sa-Roc’s Tiny Desk Concert. Chika in general. Robert Glapser’s “This Changes Everything (ft. Denzel Curry).” SZA at the Roots Picnic. Sampa The Great at the Roots Picnic. RAP Ferreira in general. Umi’s “Introspection Live Show.” Alexa Esperanza’s cover of “Is It A Crime.” Bad Bunny in general. the jwords, nappy nina and MIKE performances at Satellite Syndicate
most embarrassing piece of music i love with all my heart
Logic’s No Pressure. In all sense of the words I should not love this album like I love my siblings but I do. It is beautiful.
best 10 songs of this year objectively
1 - RAP Ferriera - An Idea Is A Work Of Art (ft. Mike Ladd) [prod. by Kenny Segal, mr. carmack and Mike Parvizi]
I know, I know. In all honesty Doldrums should be here. Then Noz put it on his best list and I had to be all ChiTown Go-Getter and pick the next better thing: this. And in all honesty, it has the best lyric RAP spits on the album: “we build better answers.” But it’s not just that, it’s RAP’s most animated performance, the most dexterous piece on the whole album and the most gorgeous beat, a loping bassline sliding behind the flatfooted drum, allowing Mike Ladd, his musical father, to gently drift through, saying, “what if royalty depised us?” and knowing the only gold is soul and giving it to all of us, all us maggots and vultures and locusts and weevils, to hold to the light so we can finally see. On the quest to get open and free, we continue.
2 - Chika - U Should [prod. by Lido]
I heard this the night it dropped and shot 2 insta videos playacting as it played. But apart from that, it’s a intimate, beautiful song about getting to know a new lady love, so tenderly sung it might melt and disappear if not held gently, with a sweeping guitar lick and purring trumpets sliding all over the place, Chika softly holding each frayed piece together into a considered, gorgeous piece - wait, she’s talking her shit.
3 - Issa Gold - Boys Don’t Cry [prod. by Kingjet & Sherwyn and Matt Zara]
The only reason this isn’t number one is because it dropped on Christmas Eve. But otherwise, it’s a openheart letter to us all. “it’s a lonely path being different,” Issa says, swimming in the melted ice caps as he once danced happily on the edges of melting glaciers that failed to drown him, looking at the world that keeps hurting his heart, yet he still opens his eyes and smiles, and dances. The heavy drums are so bouncy the whole song suddenly flies, formerly a hidden murmur becoming a bright sunlit flight across the sky so we can all see. I can’t wait to see Tempus, if it’s anything as good as this was.
4 - Deante Hitchcock - Growing Up/Mother God [prod. by Brandon Phillips-Taylor]
In all honesty, “Growing Up” is really not the best song on Better. It’s a sweet, happy song with a smooth, crackling bassline with soft, ghostly synths, but still kinda ok. It’s the song added at the end, “Mother God”, that has warm, sizzling piano chords and gorgeous singing in the back. It’s one of the few time I’ve ever heard a man pay homage to the woman in his life and to the God above while being entirely sincere and not faking the funk. The way he praises his mom, his lady, remembering the women in his family taking care of him and him foolishly neglecting Breonna due to his overburdened mind feels full of details, remembrances, explanations and praises. Plus, it actually makes sense that God, if she exists (she does) is a woman since -
5 - Yana Perrault - whiskey and weed [prod. by slate]
Apparently, Yana Perrault is verified now. Excellent. {YES YES MY GOD YESS}, It means more folks know about how great this song, and Yana herself is. If I had any sense, I would’ve written up 12:21 as the best song of 2018, but such is life. Anyway, we have this smooth, bass heavy slinker with shimmering percussion and lumbering drums about hooking up with a former flame who’s “sober” yet keeps on calling Yana to break their sobriety, “know we ain’t talked in a while but you still know my address,” she wryly mentions. As the beat sprints away under a warm cocoon of accapella echoes, it mirrors a relationship so tenuous it might disappear into the wind. Yet still strong enough to have whiskey on call.
6 - Marlon Craft - Culture Sick Freestyle [prod. by Cormill]
Apparently this was supposed to be a shot at Flex. And since Flex is a woman beater and a lame, good for him. Shouldn’t have even gone on Flex to be honest, but then again neither should Jay Critch or Tyler or Black Thought and besides, I watch those freestyles too. And on the freestyle, Marlon frankly put things in perspective. “You don’t want us to better, you just want to be cool still.” This describes all of rap media to be real. And tellingly, it only has 310,000 views. Methinks nobody really wants real. But I do. Thank u Marlon, you continue to be the best white rapper alive. (Nowhere near the best rapper tho, and if Token hadn’t fell off -)
7 - Miah - Cascades [prod. by Cedes]
I’m sideeyeing the boy Miah cuz I had to search up his Audiomack to find the producer’s name (it’s Cedes, and they have a really great avalanche of Drake Type Beats is you like that kind of thing). Were you trying to trick folk into thinking you produced it yourself? You don’t need to do that shit. Especially since you’re writing stuff like “back in high school all my peers were tryin to hit the league / until the league too far from reach so they tap dancing over beats.” When you can frankly break down life that clearly, don’t be trying to hide producer’s names unless you actually learn to produce too. Plaster your name all over that shit.
8 - Justine Darcenne - Off Days [prod. by Mikhail Miller] / Enny - Peng Black Girls (ft. Amia Brave [prod. by Paya]
Justine is indeed my classmate, but that’s not why this song is here. it’s here because it’s a nice little guitar driven song with a spellbinding bridge that’s the best thing I’ve heard her do yet. And I’mma keep it short cuz I already wrote this up at the Singles Jukebox.
Enny released this soft, cushiony record with washed out synths over bulky drums and floated FLOATED over them without even trying to run in the tar, saying frankly, “He said to me, 'they put guns in the streets, that’s what they wanted for me.’ And I said, ‘G, someone can fix you a plate but no one can force you to eat.’” After all, why not try to live for something greater than what the world has expected you to be. And Amia sings, “We’re gon be alright, ok?” with the joy and excitement of someone realizing the words coming alive on their tongue. One of the best songs of this miserable year, and it’s kinda funny watching Jorja accidentally Drake out Amia and even Enny (and by funny I mean irritating.)
9 - Tobi Lou - okay (ft. Dreezy) [prod. by Matteo Woods & Dilip]
Fun fact: Dilip did some great songs with Otxhello, a producer who recorded and mixed 2 records on my first album. That again is not why this song is here. The warm, swinging synths and heavy, bouncy drums are why this is here. Oh, and Tobi’s goofy, silly lyrics and his surprisingly effective Missy Elliott tribute are great too. But obviously, the verse that vaulted this into top 10 was Dreezy, which opens with such a openhearted line, “i can’t help it, it’s too hard to say I’m sorry.” And every line is harder than the last, until she closes with “and I ain’t talkin frontals but we got the city sown up.” Absolutely amazing.
10 - Strongman Burner - Pilolo (ft. KelvynBoy) [prod. by Nixie]
The sweet, gooey synths are poured over the soft, zipping and smooth drums as the wiry bass whirls between Kelvyn’s soft, thin crooning as Stoneman tap dances over the drums, both desperate and defiant, trying to salvage a sinking relationship that he knows is already gathering coral and snappers. It’s the best afropop song of the year and yet it still has a Nigerian on it (well, I put 4 Nigerians on here, next year I’m rectifying that.) And they even did a song together last year , not as good as this. At all. (still pretty good tho.)
best 10 songs i love (but not enough to write full paragraphs for, I already put 10 in and this is already 5 goddamn pages)
11 - Logic - Heard ‘Em Say
best song on the project that isn’t Dadbod but at least it isn’t tempting fate.
12 - Deqn Sue - Creep
I already love this for having a gorgeous bridge, and is cute af. Yes Sue, you can creep.
13 - Quelle Chris & Chris Keys - Sudden Death/ka - i love {moms, mimi, kev}
QUELLE CHIS CAN SANG SANG./ka can heart heart write.
14 - IDK - Square Up (ft. Juicy J)
I don’t know why this is here either but this slaps regardless.
15 - Nappy Nina - Modestly (ft. Maassai)
Maassai is creating some of the best raps out here. so is Nappy Nina.
16 - Kehlani - Lexii’s Outro (ft. Lexii Ajaii)
Let’s celebrate our great rappers when they’re alive (and this includes me. Pls Chika, don’t win Best New Artist.)
17 - Samad Savage - Goodnight
What Travis Scott should’ve tried to be instead of what he is now. Samad still dope af regardless.
18 - Bad Bunny - Si Veo Tu Mama
The way Bad Bunny actually hits that last note makes me feel so excited and alive.
19 - Fat Tony - Back In The Saddle
I fucked up. But I’m getting back in the saddle, back in the saddle next year. NO NIGERIANS ALL NIGERIENS. #ENDSARS tho.
20 - Lady A - the truth is loud
Why am I the only one who has this on a best list? I have 34 bot followers. Vibe, step it up.
best of 2020 music right here folxs.
worst music things of the year:
The Pop Smoke album. Just in all areas. (Better win that Grammy tho.) Travis Scott in general. (So loud and empty and boring.) Big Sean’s Detroit 2. (why does this exist? Just put out Deep Reverence and Detroit Night Cypher and leave everything on the cutting room floor fo the next album.) Remembering all the great rappers who are dead or incarcerated. No Kendrick album (just leaks. Not good enough.) J. Cole and Noname beefing and Noname getting strung up by twitter. Jay Rock pushing being anti-vaccinations. The realization that Normani might never drop a single record ever again. Tory Lanez in general. Joyner Lucas making actually good songs and falling off almost immediately. Cardi B in general. Anything positive being said about steven Universe songs. Luzamity shipping (until it’s canon please stop! Willuz is RIGHT THERE!)

Not So Berry Legacy Challenge

The Inspiration Behind To Keep from Drowning
In celebration of 4/20, I might as well tell the story behind my Destiel story, aka the Supernatural Rehab AU.
I’ve been writing fanfiction for 10 years, I’ve recently realized, and while there is an occasional 1-2 year hiatus because my life is crazy busy, Destiel has probably been my oldest die hard ship that I had never written a piece of fanfic for.
A few months ago, while I was searching for a new job, I decided to rewatch Supernatural again. When it fell out of my rotation a few years ago, I had left off somewhere in the middle of season 13. I knew how it ended though because tumblr blew up with the confession scene, and then a couple episodes later with the finale. I didn’t have all the bits and pieces in-between though and to help fill the gaps, I thought I’d start from the beginning.
Upon my rewatch though, I realized a few things. One, I questioned why I had never written a Destiel fic despite loving the ship. Two, I am more Dean coded than I ever imagined, but I’ve always looked at him as a bisexual character (though it’s never shown). Three, I love the fandom so much, I needed to put something with my mark on it.
Before I started my rewatch as well, I started smoking weed, and discovering things that I didn’t realize happened when your state of mind is altered. One of them being is I see things incredibly detailed. Now again, I’ve been writing fanfiction for 10 years. During those years, I’ve kept detailed notes about plotlines, characters, references from their canon stories, diagrams of places and buildings since I do lean more towards AUs, but being able to picture them to the extend that I do when I’m high is nothing. When I smoke weed, I see everything vividly. I see the characters interacting, I see the rooms, even the teeny tiny decorations that most of the time don’t get mentioned. It’s like I’m living in the universe in which I pen.
While I don’t write while I’m inebriated, mainly for the reason of, I keep trying to make notations that sober me can understand (I can also barely form a coherent sentence), I do plan my chapters with detailed bullet points of scenes and details in a document. I save the writing for when I’m sober just to save me some time, but I find making lists soothing and what better way to make use of those lists than to turn them into a fanfic.
When I finished my rewatch, I started reading fanfics of all genres; AUs, canon-divergence, fix-its, etc, and it’s like these stories were coming to life. The more I read, also, the more I realized that they were sometimes fantastic, but there was always something that I would had added to give the story just a touch more. I don’t know if every writer is like that, but I am, and it’s not that I didn’t enjoy the fanfics that I read, they just needed something more.
I wanted to do something that you don’t see very often, but at the same time still contained popular tropes and plotlines that I thoroughly enjoy. As I’ve mentioned in author’s notes, I have someone close to me who went through rehab; they were actually admitted the day after my 19th birthday. While I won’t name the importance of that person in my life, I will say that I learned a lot about something I had no prior experience in being the age that I was. I had never seen a point in drugs and alcohol because they just always seemed like something you could get hooked to. Now that I’m coming up on 24, I smoke cigarettes, weed, and drink once every four odd months.
The rehab in which Dean stays at was heavily inspired by the one that the person I know stayed at. It will be brought up in a later chapter, but I’ve attended Alcoholic Anonymous meetings as a guest. I’ve seen someone struggle firsthand with addiction; I’ve seen them relapse, I’ve seen them recover. And while not everything in To Keep from Drowning isn't completely factual to the perspective of someone who has lived it, it does heavily reference the actual program of working the steps, going to counseling, and trying to figure out who you are without addiction.
I guess you can say a lot in my life inspired this story, and writing to me has always been a form of therapy; hence why this blog is called a fictional reality. I couldn’t control the life I was living when I was bipolar, full of anxiety, and on the edge of my teeth as a teenager, so I always found a world in which I controlled what happened to be my solace and saving grace.
So yeah, there’s some irony behind the AU, but I blame weed, and queerbaiting in what will probably be my favorite tv show for a long time.

HEY UPPER EAST SIDER, WELCOME TO CARNAL SOCIETY
Kayla, you’ve been accepted as Maverick Lewis with Charlie Hunnam as your faceclaim. Congrats! Please read through our checklist and turn in your account within 24 hours.
THIS I KNOW, THE BEST IS YET TO COME.
OOC Information. Name/Alias: Kayla. Preferred pronouns: She/Her. Age: 23. Timezone: CST. Triggers: None.
THAT’S ONE SECRET I’LL NEVER TELL.
IC Information. Name: Maverick Lewis. Age: Thirty-six. Gender: Cismale. Pronouns: He/Him. Sexuality: Bi-sexual. Faceclaim: Charlie Hunnam. Occupation: Musician. Headcanons:
i.   Maverick was born and raised in the Bronx to a mechanic and a waitress. They struggled to make ends meet and were living paycheck to paycheck. With parents who were always working, Maverick and his younger siblings hardly had any adult supervision. He grew up running the streets, getting into trouble with law and had gotten into the party scene at a young age. It was during those years that he would really get into the drugs and alcohol that it had taken a decade and a half to get away from.
ii. His grandfather had given him his first 8-track player when he was ten. Over the years, he had stolen and collected dozens of cassettes of his favorite bands and it was during that time that he truly got into music. Although he’d originally wanted to become a drummer, singing was more his speed. During his high school days, he and some of his best friends had formed their own little garage band and it was at that time that he truly felt like he’d found his true calling.
iii.  Having hardly grown up in the lap of luxury, he has worked his ass for for everything he has. It has been an emotionally taxing journey, a road with many ups and downs. He and his band mates have sacrificed a lot for the sake of moving their careers forward, which put a strain on their relationships with one another as well as their loved ones during their early stages of the band.
iv. During his younger years. he and his band had each taken to their own vices to cope with the stress and general chaos that came with their band becoming a success. Drugs, alcohol and women were enough to keep some of them from showing up on time to recording sessions, inhibit their minds from being able to write some of their own songs or even just be in the same room as one another without an all out fight ensuing. It was at that stage of their lives that it had really taken a toll on their relationships with one another and had managed to give the band a bad reputation for trashing hotel rooms, getting into fights with paparazzi and late night benders.
v. Maverick loves love, but love doesn’t seem to love him. He’s tried to stick it out in relationships that he’s had in the past but after an ex high school sweetheart, two ex-wives and an ex-fiancee, he’s pretty much realized that his own issues have been the root of the problems that ha polluted the relationships and had sworn of relationships until he could get himself into a better mindset.
vi. Years of issues that were not simply limited to alcoholism, drug addiction and general chaos between band members had come to an end when the band had taken a hiatus in early 2016. The majority of them had opted for rehab while they had lost their close friend and drummer to an overdose later that year. It was after that loss that Maverick truly started to take his recovery seriously and mend his relationship with his band and loved ones.

i. with dirty fingernails i traced old childhood doodles, with blood and vomit onto your white bathroom tiles. you screamed that growing up would be easy if i was pretty. ii. tangled hair and chapped lips. living doesn’t come easy to the undeserving. call me a goddess amongst us and teach me lies run the world. iii. leaving the house with no makeup on, tear stains echoing the sinful way i love myself in the dark. maybe she can’t look me in the eyes because they show her i’m not as brave as i pretend to be. vi. loose clothes and a mind that won’t stop craving. one more skipped meal and one more pound then i’ll know what happy taste like. v. discounted hair dye spilled in the drug store parking lot. i’m too far gone, but not in the beautiful way. in the headache, bed sores, empty way. in the buzzing, hair pulling, haven’t showered in a week way.

Tips for Conquering the New York State Courts Electronic Filing System (NYSCEF) – for Supreme Court
By: Kayla E. Bargeron June 13, 2017
Tumblr media
1.     What documents do you need to e-file?
In an action subject to mandatory e-filing, filing and service of all documents in the action must be done through the NYSCEF website.[1] All documents is understood to mean, any document that requires proof of service, and all documents that are filed with the court. All actions commenced in Supreme Court after August 31, 2015 are subject to mandatory e-filing except: matrimonial actions, election law proceedings, article 70 or 78 proceedings, mental hygiene law proceedings, specified residential foreclosure actions, and proceedings related to certain consumer credit transactions, all of which require consent to participate in electronic filing of documents.[2]
Unless your action fits into one of the delineated exceptions listed above, it is subject to mandatory e-filing and must be commenced by filing the initiating documents with the County Clerk through the NYSCEF website.[3] However, there are a few exceptions for commencing an action that would normally be subject to mandatory e-filing, where required by statute, or by court order. Furthermore, if you are having computer trouble and can establish in an affidavit that the statute of limitations for your action will expire that day or the next day, you may file hard copies of your initiating documents with a copy of your affidavit with the County Clerk in person.[4]
However, the general rule of thumb is that once an action is commenced, unless you are unable to access a computer or possess an inability to operate a computer,[5] all documents that would otherwise require proof of service or must be filed with the court, will have to be e-filed. Keep in mind, most if not all judges require working copies of motion papers, so make sure you always check the court and judge’s rules when e-filing a motion because most likely you must also file a hard copy with the Court before the return date. Instead of a traditional affidavit of service, you will attach a copy of the NYSCEF confirmation of filing notice for your motion.
2.     What happens if you properly e-file a document, but do not serve it otherwise?
The initiating documents, i.e. summons and complaint, petition, must be e-filed and served pursuant to the CPLR. But, unless statute, court order, or some other authority requires you to serve the document separately, any document filed after all parties appear, does not have to be served after it is e-filed. E-filing documents through the NYSCEF website constitutes service in all actions subject to e-filing.[6] All parties listed on the e-filing website will receive e-mail notifications when any changes are made to the case, via the NYSCEF website. For this reason, it is crucial to make sure that your contact information is up to date on the NYSCEF website, for all of your e-filing cases.
3.     What happens if you e-file the wrong document into a case, file a document into the wrong case, or label a document with the wrong title?
Mistakes are bound to happen at some point, but fear not, they are fairly easy to fix. If you e-file the wrong document into a case, a simple call to the County Clerk will fix all of your problems. The Clerk can return the document for correction, and you will have the ability to log back into your NYSCEF account, access the case in question, scroll down to the line number that was wrong, and click the bright red button that says “file corrected document.”
If you file a document into the wrong case, it is also fixed by a call to the County Clerk. In this situation they will delete the wrongly filed documents and it will result in the number for that document being struck from the case, and will appear with a line crossing it out. For example, if document number 28 was filed incorrectly, document 28 will still show up, but it will be crossed out and no party will be able to access copies of that document. The subsequently filed documents in that case will then be filed as document number 29.
If you label a document with the wrong title, the solution is even simpler, but it still involves a phone call to the County Clerk. In this situation, the Clerk can actually go into the document and correct the label for you.
Keep in mind that most, if not all, of the County Clerk’s offices have e-filing departments, so the quickest way for you to solve your minor errors is to contact the County Clerk’s e-filing department.
4.     What happens if you properly serve a document, but forget to e-file it?
To avoid having to deal with this problem, it is good practice to always e-file documents first. The moment they are completed, e-file them, and then if you do desire to provide courtesy copies to your adversary, you may, but you will not have to worry about service issues after the documents are e-filed. It is unclear how the Court’s will handle this situation. However, it will depend on what the document is. For example, you must e-file the summons and complaint before you serve it because the action does not commence until e-filing. Furthermore, you must e-file proof of service of the summons and complaint timely after service of the documents, as required by the CPLR. If you forget to e-file your proof of service, you must ask the court, upon motion, for leave to file it late. If you serve, but fail to file other documents, such as motions, as soon as you realize this happened, e-file the motion papers and an affidavit of service. Next, try to see if your adversary will stipulate to having received the documents. There are two ways the courts can handle this situation; either permitting you to proceed as originally planned on your chosen return date, or adjourning the motion out based upon when it was actually e-filed to ensure that your adversary had proper notice and is not prejudiced in any way.
5.     Finally, remember that all documents that you e-file must be redacted for personal information, including birth dates and social security numbers.[7]
In the event that you forget to redact a document that contains sensitive information, don’t worry, if you call the e-filing Clerk and notify them that the document contains sensitive information, they can either mark the document returned for correction and permit you to upload a redacted document, or they can mark the document for restricted access.
Be careful when e-filing documents and make sure to redact or check the box when you are e-filing that says the document contains sensitive information. Courts take this very seriously; failing to properly protect client’s information can result in sanctions.
I hope this helps you in your practice. I am a student at Brooklyn Law School and these are merely my observations based on my experiences. Nothing in this article should be construed as legal advice, please seek legal counsel before relying on any of this information.
