CHAPTER O2: BACKSTORY

mya is one of two girls in a town that she felt like was in the middle of nowhere and was a completely deadbeat city. no one cool actually comes from delaware and if there was, they never repped the state hard enough to make a difference. both of her parents were somewhat traditional with the idea that girls should stay at home and look after their children and boys are allowed to go outside and get dirty, however with having two girls, it was proven a little bit difficult to maintain that mindset. her parents, especially her father, always wanted sons but got mya and her older sister instead. this then led to mya being exposed to cars. everything mya knew about cars came from her father & her uncles from the shop. the only thing she is grateful for about delaware is the car culture. it wasn't heavily saturated with JDM builds like other cities may have. delaware was more focused on american made cars which is what mya is more familiar with. her mother disapproved of mya's growing interest in cars and mechanics in general and wanted mya to be more proactive in areas that didn't require mya's clothes to be stained with engine oil and grease underneath her fingernails. however, that wasn't mya's style. mya wasn't afraid to get down and dirty and she had always been that way since she was four.

mya was introduced to street racing, JDM builds, customisation and American mods through one of her guy friends who had posters of import models on his bedroom wall during her third year of college.

mya was hooked after her first street race.

CHAPTER O3: HEADCANONS

✧ mya became interested in cars when she turned 4 as the loud noises and the sudden gear shift movements in trucks would make her squeal and entertain her in the backseat. ✧ mya got her nickname growing up as she has always stated that she is a tomboy through and through. because of her constant announcement of being a "tomboy", people then just started to tease her as 'lil tommy', short for tomboy. ✧ because mya is stubborn and can be a little bit of a know-it-all when it comes to cars, she is the most annoying backseat driver ✧ mya oddly enough got her license extremely late compared to others. she didn't get her license until she was 22. she was too busy in the shop to practise driving and getting her license. ✧ mya and her dad have a project car that they work on together whenever mya visits home. ✧ mya basically forced herself to get into narzia bois, being almost too obnoxious and loud mouth for her own good. ✧ one of mya's favourite modifications is changing the lightbulbs of a car's tail light. she loves rewiring them to flash into different shapes such as a heart or a star. ✧ mya has a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering with honours at florida state university.

CHAPTER O4: OPEN PLOTS

i. since mya practically forced herself into the crew. your muse can be the one that she constantly bugged and nagged for a chance to be apart of the team. very tom&jerry vibes, but deep down inside, you know that mya was a good addition; you weren't going to admit that out loud though. ii. mya works as a mechanic just in general, so customers would be great! customers from the other crew??? just because mya is that good and fast??? and yet it makes it seem like mya is fraternizing with the enemy when really she is just here to make a bag. iii. JDM vs. american muscle. because mya has always been surrounded by american muscle cars, she is still learning her footing around JDM builds. that doesn't mean though that she is completely stupid about them. maybe your muse and her constantly get into fights about which exactly is the better car. maybe an impromptu race helps to settle the score? it never does. iv. mya is a loud mouth and sometimes she truly does need to be kept on a leash. however her words and threats come from a place of knowing her worth and knowing the crew's worth. your muse is the one who keeps her in line; someone she trusts not to lash out on her when she lashes out first. BONUS: mya is a loud mouth and your muse is the one who antagonizes her cause they think it's funny. v. GIVE ANY OTHER PLOTS THAT YOU CAN THINK OFF KJDGHKJDS

This account is officially being re-branded!

As of 17 June 2024, this account is going through the process of being re-branded, rebooted and revamped. After a long hiatus, filled with the occasional reblog and text post, I have many plans to bring this blog back to life.

First of all, the name and theme will be changing, to a more gentle cottagecore vibe.

There will be regular posts of different jellycats like how the old blog operated, but focused more on personification of the jellycat and scenario, mood board and collage based posts, instead of the regular name and picture type favoured by some of my favourite blogs. I don't want to be a copycat, even if my special interests present in similar ways to others, through use of Tumblr.

There will be a weekly segment where you can send in asks with your jellycats, as a way to interact with the following of the blog and make some new friends along the way!

Another new weekly segment will be retired jellycat of the week, where I pick a random jellycat from any of the ones in let's say 2013 and post a moodboard and a little collage around that jellycat, as well as information about the jellycat from before their retirement, such as their blurb from their product page or some such.

I will still post regular jellycats, but with the new theme and format in mind. For example, I will post a cordy roy elephant, with a filter for effect, with a mood board and a who am I, telling you all about my personality I created for cordy roy elephant, as well as a mini collage of things I associate with cordy roy elephant.

As I start to get into the swing of making the who am I's and the moodboards and the collages, the posts may change in format. I have never made anything like this before. Previous experience is only with making a few basic collages with a phrase and some emojis, nothing so vast. I may struggle at first, primarily focussing on the other elements, such as the retired jellycats or reposting old jellycats with the new formats to help me get used to filling them out or creating them in general.

Content creation is a full time job and I am currently battling bone cancer full on, therefore my time is split between what I can gather up and what is left over after my "day" has ended. Spoon theory is a good analogy to what I'm dealing with. I'm already a chronically ill person, so I'm not unfamiliar to losing a spoon or two when trying to do something basic, but these are my special interests and they fulfill me as a person. I deserve to enjoy and be happy, it just takes some adapting.

I will not be posting everyday, every week, all the month, for all twelve months of the year. I will start out posting twice a week, weekly for the full month. I might transition over to four posts a week, however three may be the happy medium. I will take two weeks off at Christmas, I will take days off if I am with family. Life is busy and I don't intend to work around my creations, rather work my creations into my life, have them join and meld and wiggle around each other, like two people who can't get comfortable in a very small bed.

The revamping process will take time. As I said, I am fighting bone cancer, a very hard thing to maintain myself against day in day out. Your patience and understanding is appreciated as well as any help you can offer such as tips on how to do certain things, such as banner creation, moodboard websites, collage creators, good searches for good quality images or things like that.

“Go have fun!” I told Elizabeth, accepting a sweet hug from my daughter before she turned and skipped off to her father’s car, waiting just outside the hospital doors.

I chuckled before turning back to see little girl in clear command over the Ratajczyk babies as they bopped around the waiting room doing random little babying things.

I chuckled as I took my seat once more, taking in the sweet peace of the waiting room as we all waited to hear word from Katie’s surgeon on her procedure.

Katie had gone under about an hour ago, with her entire family around her. Jing was wearing a dark violet hospital gown that her girl had made the night before and the attending surgeon, a gentle  older woman by the name of Dr. Xi, who had answered all of Katie’s questions with a certain sweetness that had made us all feel calm. When Katie had asked if Jing could have surgery too, Dr. Xi’s response was reasonable and well thought out.

“Of course I can operate on Jing’s foot as well!” she answered. “Do you have a cap to help keep her hair out of her face?”

Here, Elizabeth took out an electrifying hot pink hair net that she had crocheted the night before and helped Katie with braiding her American Girl mini me’s hair up and back.

Now back in the present day, the babies were all surrounding an older woman who was telling them stories from her native Russia. I had brought my knitting needles and yarn with me to occupy my time while Katie’s surgery was ongoing.

“Mrs. Ratajczyk?”

I looked up at the nervous nurse, feeling my heart dropping into my stomach as she came up to me and took a seat next to me.

“Katie’s injury is far worse then what the x-rays showed. The doctor will need to use a bigger piece of metal to bind everything together.”

“But other than that, everything is going as according to plan?” My wildly thudding heart calmed down a little bit at the nurse’s words, knowing that Katie was in good hands.

“It is, yes.”

Just then, Peter came waltzing into the waiting room, hair tied back into a sensible man bun and a dazzling smile on his face, which disappeared at the sight of the nurse talking to me.

“Sweetheart, is Katie alright?” was the first thing out of his mouth.

“She’s fine!” laughed the nurse, standing up once more. “I was just explaining that when Dr. Xi opened Katie up, we all discovered that the break was more severe than what the X-rays initially told us.”

“Do you hear the nurse my love?” I hummed, welcoming him in as he took to his knees in front of me and offered me his hands to hold. “Mo stór is doing just fine.”

“PAPA PETE!” screeched little girl just then before leading the charge of babies up to knock my laughing husband over flat onto his back.

Two hours later, I answered my loudly screaming cell phone, frowning at the name of Elizabeth’s school that popped up onto the display screen.

“Hello?” I asked as two young girls were engaging the babies in a sweet game of Ring Around the Rosies.

“Hello, Mrs. Ratajczyk? This is Nurse Ashes with Saint Michaels.”

“Yes, hello,” I greeted her in a friendly tone of voice.

“Well, there’s really no easy way for me to say this, but Elizabeth was just injured during recess by a wayward softball. It’s pretty severe- I have one of my assistances calling for an ambulance to be taking to Mercy Memorial.”

“Peter.” My husband was at my side at once, intercepting my phone from me and speaking to the school doctor on staff. He finished speaking to the woman before hanging up and then texting Ryley and asking her to be on standby. He kissed my forehead before telling the babies that big sister Elizabeth suffered a booboo at school and that he was needed downstairs for when she arrived.

On his way out, he passed by Isabelle, who was coming in from an open lab at the community college.

“Hey Mary Claire,” she greeted me in a chipper tone of voice as she took a seat next to me. “How are things going here?”

“So far, so good with Katie, but Elizabeth is coming in with an injury from recess and Peter is downstairs supervising that area while I’m up here with the babies,” I explained, giggling as Baby Mattie toddled up to us both.

“Mommy?” he meeped before covering his cheeks with his hands. “Uh oh!”

“Uh oh!” chorused the babies before coming in and crowding me in. “Uh oh! Uh oh! Uh oh! Uh oh! Uh oh! Uh oh! Uh oh!”

“You want to help me?” I asked a chuckling Isabelle before taking up the diaper bag and herding the babies into the bathroom.

HELLO WORLD! first of all, happy belated new year!

it’s been a hot while since my last update post (the last “official” one being from april 2021), and believe it or not, this is still a blog where i just so happen to post stories written by yours truly. this is going to be a long (?) update, so bear with me please!

not to toot my own horn, my blog has grown tremendously since that last update so i’ll take this opportunity to say hi to my new followers! hello! thanks so much for following me and for joining me on this crazy journey, i hope you will enjoy your stay ♥ 

i unexpectedly went into a small hiatus from the end of september until december 2021. long story short, i’ve written so many drabbles for my one-year anniversary event in such a short period of time, that i experienced a burnout and had no motivation whatsoever to write anything. but as you can tell, i am back from the dead and i am slowly posting some very overdue stuff! 

i also want to let you all know that there is a jaehyun timestamp posted on tumblr that is very, very similar to the first chapter of my jaehyun just friends timestamp mini-series (which you can find here). i will even be as bold to claim that it is borderline plagiarism given to how similar the stories are (yes, i did read it), especially since an anon thought that the other timestamp was a repost or that it was a new account of mine. i don’t have any other writing blogs (tumblr), smoll-tangerine is the only one on which i post my stories. you can also find me on AFF, but i don’t post any of my NCT stuff there. 

no worries for now. the author has contacted me and they will rewrite the fic in a way that it is going to be very different from mine. they claim to be new to tumblr and has never come across my blog, so i gave them the benefit of the doubt. i asked that they send me a link when they’re done revamping the fic, so i’ll keep you guys updated on this. but also just letting everyone know that i do not condone plagiarism and i will not hesitate to call people out publicly and report if i see people copying my stories. 

i can’t give an exact date as to when will i post the fics that are on my wips, but i’m making tons of progress. i’m starting school again soon, so hopefully it won’t hinder me too much. you will have to make due with my short drabbles and timestamps♥

1. Favorite living world season?

As much as some of the fights feel really badly balanced, I enjoy LS2 for the close knit new family feel. The whole little group is still figuring their dynamics out and finding their independence, and it’s a real good found family sorta feel as you Go Through A Lot.

2. Favorite expansion?

Heart of Thorns holds a special place in my heart (lol) just for being the first new story since I’d started playing. It’s got many flaws looking back, but nothing has actually hit me harder since. Maybe because anet overuses the punch of tragedy and death an I’m numb to their attempt to low blow us after several years *shrugs*

3. Favorite soundtrack?

The music in Caledon forest was my first step into gw2, and it will forever hold the top spot for me, alongside the original character select screen music.

4. First profession you played?

Ranger! Still one of my absolute favorites.

5. First race you played?

Sylvari, go figure

6. Favorite Destiny’s Edge character?

It’s a tough choice for me! Eir and Caithe rank highest though due to their unconventional character arcs for women. They’ve both got a lot of nuance and challenges and I respect that.

7. Favorite Dragon’s Watch character?

Again gotta pick two, Braham and Rox have a unique feel too and are amazing foils to each other’s characters. I’d like to see more of them together again.

8. Favorite Elder Dragon?

I love the potential held in Bubbles. Deep sea dragon, whose awakening scared even the krait off? Give me those deep sea horrors.

9. Best boss fight (story)?

I honestly really love the final fight against Zhaitan. It really managed to encapsulate the feeling of fighting a larger than life powerful enemy with an army at your back. No big fight since for me has had the same grandeur to it. We did a lot of fighting dragons in “smaller” ways or with “smaller” teams that just feel more...compact, ya know? I want that grandeur back.

10. Best boss fight (fractal)?

Jade maw is fucking wild! And it’s not the boss of its fractal but the giant living statue.

11. Best boss fight (raid)?

Never been in one, would love to one day when I’m in a guild who does them when I’m awake...

12. PvE or PvP or RP?

PvE by far, and RP is fun when you can find the right people.

13. Favorite canon couple?

In one map, there’s a seraph soldier and a bandit having a secret date. They’re so fucking extra and sappy and unnecessary and I love fining them and reading their cheesy star-crossed dialogue.

14. Favorite fanon/self made couple?

With another player, my favorite currently is Matthias with @ascalonianpicnic‘s Aildyn. The two have a very good dynamic.

Solo, I really love my new commander, Kai, with Caithe. I’ve built up a back-an forth for the two that I’m a lot more compelled by than I thought I’d be! I’m excited to share more on these two.

The end of Heart of Thorns. A victory, a tragedy, and a clear sign that it’s set off another disaster just by you winning. There’s so many layers to that *boom*

This one from AFI Co-founder Jason Geyer and more of his AMAZING digital customs. • @toyotter I started this as a thought experiment back in July: what if Kenner didn’t lose the DC Comics license after Super Powers, and instead only took a hiatus for a couple of years? What would the toys look like circa 1988? At the time, Crisis had given way to the revamped Justice League and all the fallout from the Legends mini, so that’s where I’m starting. Batman isn’t necessarily a Kevin Maguire version, but definitely more in that vein.

I sculpted this Batman about 8 times, trying to find a body style that matched Super Powers’ proportions but was closer to what I would have wanted in a new figure line. If I 3D print these, I want them to fit into the existing collection but still look updated (it will also have a cloth cape; I just quickly sculpted one for this post). It was also a chance for me to “put my money where my mouth is” as I tend to complain a lot about lines like Spinmasters’ current DC one. These will basically be what *I* would do if I could run a DC Comics toy collection. The new card design is just 1980s goofery! I originally went MUCH crazier, but came back to traditional SP colors.

I have about 100 figures planned out, but as these are all much more involved sculpts than the Secret Wars ones were who knows how many I’ll do or how fast I can crank them out each night after work. 10% vs 80% video script almost complete

Writing this script for the 10% vs 80% is really hard. I've been rereading it over and over again doing little edits and then big edits on it. There have been parts where I ramble that have nothing to do with the 10% vs 80% but more from experience. For example reposter and how they don't have any protective rights. I might as well talk about that as a different video like a mini storytime.

But anyway, I honestly think I am done with the script and just need to record some visuals and make some art examples for the video.

So again, I'm sorry this video is taking forever but I really really do not want to spread misinformation about this. Thank you so much for being patient with me. I really do hope that I get this video done quicker but life is really kicking my butt.

I'm currently making stickers for my Redbubble shop, making art examples for my "soon-to-be-open" commission on ko-fi, and also making other video scripts.

My goodness, I am a mess lol. Also, I really need to make a pinned post on here. I have a rough draft but that one is old so it needs to be revamped. Alright, I think that's about it have a lovely day or night!

"Misty Mauve" was the very first of your works that I've ever read and the first fic I've ever downloaded and I'm very happy about that. I love rereading it and crying/laughing over my favourite dum-dums: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11.

Oh gosh, I'm so surprised that a handful of people remember this fic even. I kinda cringe to recall it now, since it was my first GO multichap ever and I wrote it before I began to do more research on 19th Century England the way I do now with my regency fics. I've actually lately considered revamping the whole fic and reposting it... Anyway haha 1: What inspired you to write the fic this way? I had just done a re-watch of the North and South 2004 mini-series and got obsessed with it all over again so I read the novel and I thought it would be so fun to make a Good Omens AU fic based on the premise of N&S - and this was before I even knew what a "fusion" fic was lol 3: What’s your favorite line of narration? Seated across from each other in the dim coach, Aziraphale can fully appreciate Crowley’s profile. He liked this new look on him so much that Aziraphale was giddy with the sight of it—of Crowley, his best friend whom he missed so much and thought of every single day since he left Milton. For the past two months, he felt he had been ever so slowly drifting to sleep. Now his soul was wide awake, waiting intensely on each second that passed by. 4: What’s your favorite line of dialogue? I'm extremely fond of the chaotic love confession/proposal scene in this fic, it was very difficult to choose just one tbh :)) but this line from Aziraphale: “You can undo me with a single word you say, a single action you do. I can think of nothing else but how and where you are and every so often I think of how far away from you I am and I get sad. Crowley, I-I have made a grave mistake.” 5: What part was hardest to write? I remember having a really difficult time with the first two chapters because I haven't written much at that time and it was hard to set up the whole premise of the story. The first chapter is probably my least favorite in the fic, cause I can see now how very long and clunky the paragraphs are, and how much unnecessary information has been shoved in there. Present me probably would want to make that bit more concise and streamlined 6: What makes this fic special or different from all your other fics? It's my first GO multichapter AND my first historical au fic. I read a primer book on Victorian era life and then just went wild with this even though I still got so much stuff wrong lmaoo

7: Where did the title come from? I had no idea what title to give this fic so I took the title from the song I mostly listened to at the time, which was Tatsuro Yamashita's 'Misty Mauve' 10: Why did you choose this pairing for this particular story? I'm not really interested in writing any other ships tbh, so any story I wanna make a fic of is automatically for Aziraphale and Crowley :) Thank you so much!

Tips and Tricks

Storage: because these little bites of heaven are made from a nut butter and coconut oil base, you’ll want to store them in the freezer. Tip! Once they’ve hardened, remove them from their muffin liner and tin and transfer them into a freezer-safe gallon-size bag for later!

Nut Butter Swaps: As always feel free to swap any of the nut butters for one of choice. The only one that’s tricky is coconut butter, do not swap this one for anything else!

Sweetener Swaps: For all of these delicious nut butter cups, we used either honey or maple syrup. Feel free to use them interchangeably. We have not tested these with any other sweeteners, but if you do…please let us know!

Oil Swaps: Every nut butter cup recipe calls for coconut oil. We have NOT tested any other oils, but will report back if we do 🙂

Go Green: Because you’re going to want to make these recipes more than once (obvi), we suggest either purchasing silicone muffin tin liners OR not using muffin liners at all.
