Rewrite Ideas for Lila Rossi

I know there’s been a lot of criticism about Lila’s lies and how Marinette’s friends and other people trust Lila’s word over hers, especially Alya her best friend and journalist. What if Lila wasn’t just more careful with her lies(telling more believable lies with fake proof or atleast have benefit of the doubt, more cautious about threats and frame ups), but instead of telling negative lies about someone people should know better about, she instead uses already known truths against them. Does still manipulate certain things but also make those are unto her or see as a threat, dig their own graves, expose their own issues.  Ex, Like how Lila made Aya think the issue was just Marinette having a crush on Adrien and being jealous.

I think it would’ve worked more if Lila actually played into this more. Not just using Marinette’s crush on Adrien but her and the other’s biggest flaws(overthinking things, insecurity, digging herself deeper into her problems, etc) Using their issues and past mistakes to manipulate things in her benefit or atleast make people consider past issues that would make people have to also consider.

Marinette if she decided to just come out and say why she doesn’t trust Lila when she comes back as a new classmate, similar to when she talked to Alya and Nino.

Lila-I really dont get where all this skepticism’s coming from. I was only here one day and I don’t think we even got to meet, let alone talk, so how could you know anything I did-

Marinette-BECAUSE I FOLLOWED YOU!

Lila- Hey, don’t worry about it. I mean you’re her friend, not her mom, it’s not your responsibility to watch what she’s up to. I’m just happy this was simply because she likes Adrien and not because she really thinks I’m some “evil manipulative mastermind”, this doesn’t feel like anything I need to involve a teacher with, not like anyone got really hurt. I’ll be honest I have a problem sometimes being fully honest, I may exaggerate or tell a few white lies just simply to fit in, I’m not trying to hurt anyone. But seriously, we've only hung out like only a few times, he really is just a friend to me at this point. I’m sorry for all the trouble.

Alya- Don’t worry about it, honestly this isn’t really ur fault.

Lila-Well thanks and seriously, this isn’t really your fault either. Alya- Thank you. Still, maybe I should’ve been more concerned.

Lila- I mean these things happen, We’re teens, sometimes we might let our hormones get the better of us but I doubt this stuff happen all the time, she seems like a good person. Besides if she did do something that really crossed the line, as her best friend, I’m sure you def would call her out or atleast make it clear u don’t support it, right?

Alya- No, no don’t worry about that. Maybe I should though.

and doesn’t just do this kinda stuff with Marinette but can pit the whole class against eachother If she plays the cards right, full on Mean Girls Watch The World Burn🔥🔥🔥. All while, looking completely inconspicuous and whatever she could’ve done would be seen as simply indirect or unintentional and certainly no way she could’ve known it would lead to such an outcome…right?

Lila-As such a great designer Marinette, I’d figure you’d understand that rather try to make something completely new, better to make the best out of the materials you already have! And there is just so much to work with, especially with you😈

And rather Marinette not trying to expose her because of Adrien's advice but rather her own self doubt. “What if I really am just jealous and overthinking this whole thing”, “I technically was in the wrong first for following them, granted I had to for the book but I didn’t know that at first”, “what if I make things worse and Alya…won’t be my friend anymore”…”she’s probably right, maybe Lila’s just harmless and it really is all in my head”…”maybe it is just me”.

I just like antagonists who make the protagonists consider their own moral character and actions, if they’re really as good as they think they are. Even if they’re manipulative liars who are trying to be dishonest, there’s always that certain part of what they say that can’t be fully brushed off as entirely wrong, sometimes even being the ones to call out the protagonists’s less moral actions and mistakes.  And I think Lila could’ve really had that sort of potential with Marinette. For better or for worse, her impact could make Marinette reflect on herself.

Lila-You’re the type of person who sees themselves as the hero in their own story and that everything you do is right, but truth is you can just as easily be the villain! You think my lies are bad? Half of what I say is just calling you out on your own mistakes. You just can’t handle the TRUTH!😈

My changes to Miraculous (plus my thought process)

Part 1: Magic System

For context, although I am a fan of Miraculous and know what happens in it. I’ve never watched the series past season 3 Miracle Queen. But I still want to rewrite this show, it had a lot of potential that was wasted.

Kwami are cool, and although they’re massively important to the story I feel they’re also massively wasted. I also have issues with a lot of the powers as some blatantly copy off of and overshadow the main 7, and some are also stronger than the main 7 too (looking at Fluff and Longg). And I find the threat of Kwami using their power without a holder under-utilised.

The easy and probably better answer is to scrap the Zodiac Kwami entirely. But as I like some of them I’ve elected to making the zodiac more situational and the 7 more stronger.

The way it works in my version is that since the 7 main Kwami have had centuries longer to adjust to their forms; they have the ability to be flexible in what their powers can do, given if their holder trains enough. The 12 Zodiac Kwami who are just now being given physical forms, have far weaker powers. That being said, the general rules Kwami follow in the show (cannot be seen with technology, phasing through walls ect.) all still apply.

If I add the handicap that Kwami’s can’t use their powers without their holders because it’ll cause a catastrophe, it’s not going to be treated as a joke because Kwami are literal gods now.

Also all Kwami have passive abilities, which are powers that can be used without triggering the time limit. I feel most of them are understandable except for Know, Know is basically a 6th sense type of power that lets to sense emotions and vibes.

Tikki: Kwami of Creation

With minimal training, her holder can create objects (although what object is made is random).

With sufficient training, her holders can control what object they create.

With experienced training, her holders can create living things. More energy is used to create more complex life.

Tikki also has the passive ability of Fly

Plagg: Kwami of Destruction

With minimal training, his holder can destroy objects (although the level of destruction cannot be controlled)

With sufficient training, his holder can control the level of destruction.

With experienced training, his holder can increase their own strength by destroying other objects.*

Plagg also has the passive ability of Climb

Nooroo: Kwami of Transmission

With minimal training, his holder can spectate from one place to another

With sufficient training, his holder can communicate from one place to another

With experienced training, his holder can send things from one place to another

With minimal training, his holder can create shields*

Pollen: Kwami of Action

With minimal training, her holder can stop a target from doing something.

With sufficient training, her holder can freeze a target in place

With experienced training, her holder can force a target to do something.

Pollen also has the passive ability of Flight

Duusu: Kwami of Emotion

With minimal training, her holder can enchant an object with powers.

With sufficient training, her holder can change anothers form from the enchanted object.

With experienced training, her holder can create a living being with an enchanted object.

Duusu also has the passive ability of Know

Note, since Creation and Destruction are the strongest, it takes longer for the holders to use their powers effectively. I think that’s a reasonable natural handicap, and it makes it more interesting to see how Ladybug and Cat Noir manoeuvre around a battle.

With the zodiac as I mentioned before; I scaled down their powers to make them more situational, and they don’t have as much creative leeway in what their powers can do. As well as they don’t appear until much later into the rewrite.

Mullo: Kwami of Division

Allows the holder to divide into smaller copies of themselves.

Mullo also has the passive ability of Dodge

Stompp: Kwami of Unionisation

Allows the holder to absorb people into themself, becoming a giant collective.

Stompp also has the passive ability of Shield

Roaar: Kwami of Acceleration

Allows the holder to increase their speed to lightning fast levels.

Roaar also has the passive ability of Run

Fluff: Kwami of Abduction

Allows the holder to store items in a pocket dimension indefinitely.

Fluff also has the passive ability of Jump

Longg: Kwami of Composition*

Allows the holder to change their body composition.

Longg also has the passive ability of Flight

Sass: Kwami of Intuition

Allows the holder to see into the future.

Sass also has the passive ability of Dodge

Kaalki: Kwami of Migration

Allows the holder to create gateways (different to portals)

Kaalki also has the passive ability of Run

Ziggy: Kwami of Gravitation*

Allows the holder to change somethings gravity

Ziggy also has the passive ability of Climb

Xuppu: Kwami of Derision

Allows the holder to interrupt another’s power.

Xuppu also has the passive ability of Climb

Orikko: Kwami of Rejuvenation

Allows the holder to heal a targets wounds/damage

Orikko also has the passive ability of Know

Barkk: Kwami of Position

Allows the holder to track a target.

Bark also has the passive ability of Run

Daizee: Kwami of Jubilation

Allows the holder to amplify another’s power greatly.

Daizee also has the passive ability of Know

These are the only Kwami in my rewrite, since Master Fu accidentally destroyed the rest like he did in the show. Other power sources would technically exist, but not to the scale of the United Heroez; only things like the Grimoire, Guardians, mage powers (referencing the comic), and the Prodigious apply.

I find the origins of the Kwami so interesting, and I’m so confused why the only mention of it is tucked away in some comic which may or may not even be canon?? So I want to have mages be somewhat important to the story. As for the Prodigious and the Renlings; I never watched any of the specials so I don’t have an opinion on them, I guess I find them interesting? Might as well add it in.

Grimoires:

Grimoires are books containing information about the Kwami, the Miraculous, and various spells. Only Guarduans and Mages can read Grimoires without having to translate the book, as they are Miraculous text.

Guardians:

Guardians are the scholars and protectors of the Miraculous. This title is earned through a ritual that grants a person the power to read Miraculous texts, and an extended life span. If willingly or forcibly renounced, they will lose all memories relating to the Miraculous, the Kwami, the Mages and the Guardians.

Mages:

Mages are the descendants of the man who created the first ever Miraculous. They have the power to read Miraculous texts, the unique power of creating miraculous, and having the power to perform spells naturally.

The Prodigious & The Renlings:

The Prodigious is an artefact made by early Mages and Guardians to see if they could create Kwami of their own, creating the Renlings as a result. However they were deemed too unsafe and hidden away forever. Renlings still have the same powers as they do in the special, able to turn into an animal that corresponds to a human value that the holder is possessing. (I’m looking at the wiki, I could be wrong).

Long Long transforms the holder into a dragon when the holder is exhibits Justice.

Ying Ying transforms the holder into an eagle when the holder exhibits Confidence.

She She transforms the holder into a snake when the holder exhibits Courage.

Tang Tang transforms the holder into a mantis when the holder exhibits Patience.

Xiong Xiong transforms the holder into a bear when the holder exhibits Calmness.

Hou Hou transforms the holder into a monkey when the holder exhibits Compassion.

Ma Ma transforms the holder into a horse when the holder exhibits Honour.

Hu Hu transforms the holder into a tiger when the holder exhibits Discipline.

We start with the Queen herself, Chloe Bourgeois as Queen Bee in Miraculous AU. Her lesser power is Charm, allowing her to charm a person and they do as she commands, and her greater power of Bless that allows her to enhance a person's abilities, making them stronger.

Greater Power: Bless

Next we have Marinette as Bumblebee in Salvation. Her powers have gone through some changes, but a finalized list has been made. So, as an avatar, she gets four powers. Those powers are Bond Creation, Command, Bless like Queen Bee's, and Devotion Empowerment. Once Avatar form is achieved, she will command absolute authority where her word is law and rule over all, Authority and Domination. Like a true queen and goddess

Activation Phrases

Transformation: None/Innate

Power: None/Innate

And we come back to Chloe as Queen Bee again, but in Absolution. Here her passive power is Empower, giving a passive boost to her allies that are loyal to her and her power is Command.

A break from Chloe as the Bee, we have Sabrina in All That Remained universe as the bee (no hero name yet). Considering which power to give her and what role I want her in, I'm going to lean into the Command power that the other Bees share.

Chloe returns to the bee in Paradise known as Ambrosia. Making a slight changed to her powers. Instead of commanding, she will be capable of devotion inducement/bond creation. In other worlds, she can demand the utter devotion of anyone and everything.

Siren's Song Mylene as Honey Bee! Yes, we doing this. I've dug a hole and I'm getting comfy. Anyway, I'm going to lean into her being more support and her power being Empower, allowing her to strengthen another holder.

Gems of Dupont - Rewrite

Since it's been bothering me these past few days, this is a list of how I would rewrite a fic I wrote last year, called The Gems of Dupont on Ao3 if I were to do so.

Spoiler Warning if you want to read the fic then read this

Premise: There is a group of students who while anonymous, are known to have a lot of power. Namely, they have a history of getting rid of unsavory figures in the school or associated with it. Their current targets are Marinette (stalking, minor abuse of power, and her actions towards her 'rivals'), Adrien (bystander, actions as Chat Noir towards Ladybug, etc.), Lila (obvious), Alya (misinformation, slander, and something else), Mme. Bustier (bystander, emotional manipulation, poor teaching methods), Mr. Damocles (fraud, neglect, etc.), and Fu (facing the consequences of his own actions)

Problems: A scene that I did not flesh out enough to show the reasoning behind it, too many characters involved in the takedown, illogical plot points, involving characters that make no sense, and moving too fast due to me losing interest but not wanting to go on hiatus or abandoning the work.

The Rewrite:

Establishing the Gems -

The sign of the Gems (a wreath of gems on Mme. Mendelieve's door) is shown, causing rumors to spread through the school

Adrien, Alya, and Lila ask what they are, giving them the full explanation

The Gems are a group of six that every year go through and gather evidence of people's wrongdoings, before giving them to those that would cause the most change. This most of the time results in someone leaving the school. When they are done, gems are left where the person sits. Each gem represents something, and while there are six Gems, there are more gems.

Chloe scoffs out loud while Lila internally scoffs. Chloe thinks she is immune, as she has never been hit before. Lila scoffs because she thinks she hasn't been caught, to begin with.

Cut to a group chat, where two people are arguing over the nicknames they have in the chat. "Eye candy" seems particularly frustrated and claims they bring something more to the team than their good looks.

Safety Measures -

We see a week pass, with people becoming more and more anxious waiting for something to happen. Some sign that this wasn't a fluke. The first week is always when it is that they send out the warnings, where are the warnings?

But one day, as Nino walks in, having not arrived with Alya due to her running off to record an akuma fight, he finds a note sitting on his desk. The note contains a list of numbers and timestamps. A small doodle of a gem sitting in the corner.

On another day, Rose finds a small slip of paper that has Prince Ali's phone number on it, also with a small doodle of a gem in the corner

Luka opens a note left on his bed. He finds the chords for a song, with no lyrics. Each page has small annotations of cherry blossoms in places where lyrics would be, and a doodle of a gem in the bottom corner.

Kagami is surprised when a note falls out of her locker, with a message in brail saying "He hesitates, where is his backbone?". A gem is engraved on the page

The first -

Alya is the first to go down. After a fight between her and Nino that results in their break up, she learns that her parents got a similar note to the one that started the fight.

The numbers and timestamps were coded for different videos on the Ladyblog. The one for Nino was instances where Alya endangered him and those around him. The fight was about her recklessness, and her want to get up close to akuma fights with little regard for her safety.

The one her parents got, however, was every single time she had endangered herself.

The two of them were busy with work often, so they only really watched the videos Alya sent them. Often those were the ones where she stayed safe for the most part or had a lot of views.

So they opened her blog, to investigate what these timestamps were, only to find their daughter once again throwing herself into situations she shouldn't have. Along with countless posts trying to figure out the identities of people who were trying to protect the city and a single post that had them questioning her integrity.

The next day, Alya was pulled into distanced learning. She was also grounded until further notice, with no blog posting for one day per timestamp listed.

I finally finished the Chloe Bourgeois redesign for my rewrite!

This is actually her first design, she's going to get another main design and two main miraculous designs since she gets the bee miraculous twice. Once, by accident when her mother gets akumatised and twice when Hawkmoth and Mayura blackmail her into working for them.

Extra design notes:

.The pearls are a gift from her father Andre, he gave them to Chloe one Christmas as apart of an outfit for a Christmas Gala

.Her pants are now jeans because I wanted them to match her eyes

.I gave her different front hair, mainly because I was lazy and I couldn't understand how her hair in canon worked

.Kept her blue eyeshadow because she doesn't keep it very long in the rewrite

.The black heels were a gift from Audrey for the same outfit she got the pearls from

.I kept the black and yellow as at this point she loves honeybees

This is when she's about 13, I think I made her look older than that by accident though. At this point she's quite bitchy due to neglect from her overworked parents. She's still a bully but nowhere near as bad as canon.

Here are the powers ideas for the miraculous in my MLB remake because in my version most of the original powers doesn’t convince me or they mostly don’t make sense (*cough* rooster *cough*)

Pig 🐖: Restorative food, the holder cook food for their teammates, the food would give them back the energy they lost in the battle (doesn’t heal injuries or sickness)

Snake 🐍: Future vision, the holder manage to see what would happen moments after of an situation, so they would tell the team of what would happen

Tiger 🐅: Camouflage, they will combine with the environment, that way they can hide from the enemy and chase their prey

Rooster 🐓: Strong scream, with this they will stun everyone around them, keeping everyone deaf for a few moments except the holder

Peacock 🦚: Blindness, the feathers will expand behind the wearer and anyone who looks directly at them will be blinded for a few moments

Goat 🐐: Telekinesis, move objects or even persons in every way they want, even give the enemies a electric touch

Rabbit 🐇: Multiplication, the holder can multiplied in many copies of them (get it, because rabbits can multiply), but they would have a limit time, they can jump more higher than other holders

Ox 🐂: Super strength, can hold heavy objects and throw them away, physically they are more resistant than other holders

Mouse 🐁: Change size, become more smaller to get inside places or get things, they can become bigger as well

Dog 🐕: Sense of smell, when they throw the ball and hit the objetive, in case they loose it, they can activate their power to smell and follow the target

Monkey 🐵: Derision, makes the enemies more dumb or ruins their weapons to be useless

Dragon 🐉: Whether elements, alter it to make it more chaotic

Horse 🐎 : Teleportation, move to place to place by portals, the horse make the holder be more faster than the other holders, being able to travel great distances

Moth (I know in canon is a butterfly but I like the moth theme) 🦋: Emotion and transmission, the moth would become in a cocoon to keep the person inside but the victim would be trap in their own mind without noticing, the holder play with the memories of the person and bring their dreams, goals and fears to provoke them, also participate in their fantasies, when the holder accept the holder’s help, they will transform in the creature of the pain or emotion they feel right now (the holder don’t give powers but they give the victim the strength to finally express what they are feeling)

Miraculous Rewrite (Changes - WIP)

Hello there! So, wanted to point out some of the changes I wanted to make for this rewrite. Some of them are major changes and I am not going into too much detail because of spoilers and such. Anyways, hope you enjoy!

For the first thing on the list, I am changing the school year our main cast is in. All of them will be around 16-18.

Certain dynamics between them will be changed around, especially since I tweaked with their personalities and backstories a bit. Like, for example, Marinette and Juleka would be close friends before the main events of the story begin due to Mari befriending her three school years ago.

I don't know what compelled me to do this, but Marinette will have an older brother. I just feel like it fits.

Adrien's mom is out of the picture in this rewrite. She has passed away and she would not be the one who had the Peacock Miraculous. It would be someone I am creating from scratch.

I am making Master Fu a little younger (like around his late forties or earlier fifties). there is a reason for this, but that would spoil some major things I have planned.

I am changing up the power system in regards to the Miraculous as well as how the kwamis are.

First of all, the chibi appearance that the kwami possess is just one of their forms. They will have about three forms (one of them being human), maybe four, idk.

As well as that, with choosing who wields the miraculous, it won't be Master Fu making the choice. It would be the kwami themselves. Their choices depend on their perspectives]and personalities, especially since they have lived for thousands of years. They all have interesting personalities from their experiences, and it would be cool to see how their dynamic with their user would be. Plus, I just want the kwamis to...you know feel more like ancient beings with fewer restrictions... I really want them to stand out as their own characters.

The Akuma will be their own separate thing. They aren't created by Gabriel's miraculous at all in this rewrite. Here, they are beings who have existed for a long time, maybe even as long as the kwamis, hmmmm. Still, they feed off of negative emotions, and if enough is eaten, they can corrupt the hearts of people. With that, especially when a heart is super vulnerable to negativity, it can akumatize the individual. These beings are malicious and will manipulate the person who already is in despair into doing what they want. It's suspicious how they're similarly shaped like kwamis, hmm. Their origins are unknown, but previous miraculous holds have been fighting them off for the longest, especially Master Fu.

note: this still might change in the future (like the names) and some things are missing because is i still can’t think of anything. their abilities—the ones considered as overpowered—only last a minute or less, depends on how strong the holder is.

okay so, i’m thinking that the seven miraculous can form a team for a battle (??? it’s so hard to explain) like the butterfly is the leader, ladybug is the strategist, bee and cat are the soldiers (first line of defence), turtle is shield (second line of defence), while fox and peafowl operates in the background and not on the battlefield.

i don’t know yet what weapon i can give the turtle. can’t give it the shield since it’s already its ability. and i’m thinking on how i could make the peafowl miraculous be used if a villain uses it when all it can do is see a few minutes into the future and freeze time. like how can that affect your enemy if you attack using it?

There are only 7 miraculous now (the number of luck) because I think having THAT many miraculous is so unnecessary. The butterfly is now the miraculous of emotions while the peacock—now called peafowl, as it should be, since peacock are male peafowls—has the power of foresight because of its eyes theme.

I wanna rewrite Miraculous, Thomas did well with the first season but he screwed it over the next few, it's hard to take the series at least a little seriously when the main antagonist yells no dramatically every episode in the first season, nothing feels like the stakes are high, series like Winx or W.I.T.C.H did well with this because in the beginning, we get introduced, get at least one or two filler episodes, at the end of the beginning ARCS you get the issue, the issue takes a toll on the personal lives and some dark sh- stuff might even take place too causing characters to become conflicted, but these conflictions get solved in episode centered around purposed character, then stakes get high and then the big battle happens might get some back stories and some reasons for fighting, season 2 was alright I guess but three and four just throw me off completely.

Honestly MLB just pisses me off cause it has so many great ideas and concepts and interesting characters but the execution is just… shit.

Adrien’s character as a whole just feels like so much wasted potential to me and Hawkmoth could be a good villain but he’s just pathetic and there is no real suspense and when something actually happens like the s4 finale, it just doesn’t feel deserved

Also the lowkey just… weird preference for certain characters like the whole ‘Adrien is perfect and Marinette is the only one ever punished’ thing is just… ugh. Also the way Chloe is treated not only in the show but in Thomas’s twitter to me is frankly just gross. Like… what she’s 15 but incapable of change? And I think once he claimed that she wasn’t even abused and she’s just a bully to be a bully and just… what?

So yeah just… good luck cause it will take me at least a year to figure out what I’d do with I rewrite if I do go ahead with it cause of how much of a mess the show can be at times
