Spike had just attempted one of his numerous tries at asking Rarity out and had tripped on his own tongue. He’s a lovesick fool. And Sweetie Belle wanted someone to see her the way he saw Rarity.

THIRD IMAGE:

After SB had been in her feels for a while, she decided she needed to get away. She wanted to get as far away as possible. That was Mount Airis, so with the excuse of visiting her friend Terramar, she leaves, and ends up spending the night with him. He falls for her and after the night they spend together, SB finds that she is pregnant. She keeps the foal and carries her to term, giving birth, then leaving the next day.

Terramar doesn’t go after her for fear that he was the one who forced her into having the foal in the first place

Suddenly alone and horrible miserable, Terramar gets a letter from somepony who had been in a very similar situation when they were younger

Sweetie and Terramar were like 18/19 when they had their kid, little Snowflake. So it was basically a teen pregnancy and SB decided she didn’t want to raise a foal and knew that Terramar was a good guy, so she left. She was very shocked when he never contacted her, but was happy for it nonetheless.

Then he started showing up at the family dinners and she decided she would request a lot more concert/tour dates, to the joy of her agent.

personal ramblings under the cut~

I had to think about it for awhile, and originally I was gonna draw sunburst, but as soon as I thought of applebloom I knew what I had to draw. I love her a lot honestly, and watching her journey from the beginning has been so inspiring.

I think I’ve always kinda loved the cmc, even when I wasn’t a big fan of their episodes. scootaloo was my favorite of the group for a long time but now I just unapologetically love this little apple horse. she’s grown so much over these years!! I’m so proud of her!!

I think that bloom & gloom was the first time I was really like.. oh my god?? she’s perfect?? because that episode was it for me for awhile. it stuck with me for a long time after I watched it, I don’t think I had related to another character so much before that point.

februpony day 8: favorite episode

this was a difficult choice! I love so many episodes, but in the end I decided to go with one that affected me emotionally and of course that means it was a cmc episode. in case it’s not obvious -- it’s ‘on your marks’!!

personal ramblings below the cut~

so, like, this episode just felt really real?? like, I love any episode about applebloom and her feelings & issues with growing up. and also ‘out on my own’ fucking slaps. it’s just a beautiful song in an amazing episode ;v;

as someone who has a lot of issues dealing with change and assuming the worst, I can really relate to ab in this episode. like, having something change and suddenly everything that you used to do is completely irrelevant?? I can’t even imagine how terrifying that would be, not to mention she thinks she’s gonna lose her friends because of it??

I’d honestly really love to explore her emotional state from this episode a little further, since obvs this is mlp and the problems are always solved by the end of the episode, but I just think those worries are gonna stick with ab as she keeps on just living her life the way she has to now.

there were other episodes in the runnings for this, obviously, so I just wanted to list some of those -- rarity investigates (my second favorite), the cutie mark chronicles, bloom & gloom, amending fences, spice up your life, a royal problem, the perfect pear, and the saddle row review. they were split by episodes I enjoyed for emotional reasons and ones I enjoyed more for the comedy, but ultimately the emotions won this one out. you might also notice that all of the episodes are from seasons 5+, and that’s mostly just cause I prefer the later seasons.
