I don’t think Gabrielle losing to Varia made sense. Gabrielle had been Xena’s protégé for years; that should’ve been one of the times to show us she had finally reached Xena’s level. People are saying Varia had been training for years. So had Gabrielle. And I’m inclined to say Xena was a better fighter than Ares. I really don’t think Varia should’ve won that fight. Especially after the way she insulted Gabrielle. And Gabrielle not wanting to kill did not have to mean she couldn’t be one of the strongest warriors. There are plenty of fighting styles designed to subdue as opposed to killing. Lao Ma(she used powers a lot but she also clearly had martial arts training. I doubt she would’ve lost in a fight to Xena with or without the powers)didn’t like to kill either and she was still one of the most powerful warriors. Gabrielle’s character wasn’t given the growth she deserved. It reminds me of Kenzi from Lost Girl; they’re never really allowed to have their moment. Bo/Xena always has to come in and save the day, even when it’s clear that the sidekick could’ve handled it just fine. Sidebar: Artemis having a son was so stupid. And the Amazons turning to worship Ares went completely against everything they stood for. Also, what the hell is so great about Ares’ training? He’s not giving them powers. He trained Xena and she trained Gabrielle. And Xena had a bunch of training from other great warriors that he didn’t.

Edit: rewatched the fight and Gabrielle is CLEARLY holding back. Xena squints when she sees Gabrielle hesitates. And Gabrielle puts her in that arm lock on the floor instead of finishing it too. Furthermore, why the hell are they doing MMA? When Xena fought Melosa they got to fight with weapons. I get it’s a different tribe but damn.😭

Can’t stand to eat food that’s cold when it’s intended to be eaten hot. 

Also can’t stand most sports-minded drinks. She just finds them all nasty tasting and honestly prefers straight-up water. The only time she’ll willingly drink one is if she’s severely dehydrated and lacking electrolytes.

In her mainverse after years of training she’s accomplished a black belt in judo and is currently focused on studying MMA. if your muse happens to have an interest in it or knowledge it’s likely she trains with them occasionally if they’re friends.

Kenzi has two younger siblings, twins, a brother and a sister that she’s never met since they were born a year after she left.

Is allergic enough to peanuts that consumption of them is an immediate ER visit even with the use of an epipen.
