dp x dc prompt #9
When his family and friends die in the explosion in Amity, Danny refuses to go with Vlad and is put into the foster system. When all his rogues follow him, and nobody can see them without the level of ecto-contamination in Amity, and the damage from the fights he refuses to fight as phantom, he gets dragged to psych ward.
When none of the professionals can figure out what’s wrong with him or fix it, eventually he gets transferred to the best and most secure asylum in the US. Arkham, in Gotham.

I absolutely love pedro’s line delivery of “you have no idea what loss is.”
it’s a line that’s always stuck with me just because of how joel made a blanket attempt to invalidate ellie as that was how he would shield himself from relatability and shedding sympathy. but it’s also the cadence, the tone of his voice that has me bouncing off the walls. I remember when this was the only footage of joel from the show we had and people were quick to say “ugh he doesn’t say it with the same emotion.” but that’s the point! he’s consciously restraining himself from showing obvious emotion. just mere seconds ago he was visibly vulnerable with ellie. and then there was the sarah name drop. and his whole face shifted. the wall was back up. he rebuilt the barriers like The Contractor™️ he is and reacquired this deadpan demeanor because he couldn’t allow his vulnerability to seep through. the topic of his daughter was too sensitive. it adds such a specific weight to the line, by making it almost “robotic.” because in his mind he had to be. regression was a survival instinct. knowing just how delicate joel in the show is reinforces the notion that countering vulnerability through fabricated numbness is his go to. what a brilliant take from pedro

#bakuspecial#comic#horror#cw: child abuse#cw: body horror#ask to tag#hi! hello. this is basically just a goosebump story I think. or a scary stories to tell in the dark entry#that's kinda what I aim for? along with the good ol vibe of fuan no tane#and also the like. Thing in east asian art where they make the main character a generic white person and then#every other thing about the setting is deeply recogniseably common asian shit lmao#that's entertainment for me. this came about extremely haphazardly... its why the first two pages look nothing like#the rest of it fsdjfhdsjhf. I slammed those out at a cafe like two days ago#went into this one no plan outside of a general sense of direction#I dont think Ive ever actually designed a single character in any of the short horror comics I did. like either its me or#I made someone up as I went. genuinely didnt know what the character'd look like until I sketched em#and then I kept referencing previous panels to draw em. dont know if I recommend this method#mmmm on reread not super sure if the sound effect of the bed leaving the room is clear enough... oh well there are other comics#been writing a lot about food and places recently Ive found out. oh yeah dyou know whats funny#I watched a wayner highlight vid of the kingdom heart charity stream today (I do not know anything about kingdom heart) and realized#how much of kingdom heart (at least the first one) is about like. places.#which is like. good job baku great deep read there isn't kingdom heart literally behind a door. arent there doors all over the place.#isnt the biggest symbol from that game taht EVERYONE knows about the KEYblade. for locks on door#fskdjfhdj but yeah its just. very cool to me that that game really does have iconic recogniseable sites. like the scenes are all tied to#where they happen at. and the climactic battle happens in a black void around a door. its good#good story about leaving ur home after ur friends aren't there anymore and being changed so much by what you go through that#you can no longer call where you started at home anymore. I am being conned by the music#anyways. yeah I go sleep now. powered thru the last 4 pages of this so its done and out there. hope my bed will not do this#have a good night lads! be careful of bugs

So we went on a road trip and I went to a Learning Express for the first time! It was a DREAM COME TRUE!! The closest one was in a neighboring state, so for my bday we took a road trip there! It was a BLAST seeing stim toys in stock that I had never seen in person before, only online! I love everything I got! And the little electronic drawing board with the axolotl case is good for drawing stims and non-verbal communication!

Besides art, what other hobbies/interest do you have? For example, some of my interests include:
1. True crime (I’m actually learning to profile like how the FBI does in my free time, just more realistic than what you’d see on tv, it’s actually really easy to profile someone once you know what to look for too!)
2. Animals(especially snakes and sharks!)
3. The band Fall Out Boy (a lot of my friends wonder why I love them so much, they helped me through a tough time and their music just speaks to me)
4. Mushrooms and plants
5. Gaming(huge fan of farming and/or fantasy RPGs like stardew, Pokémon and rune factory, speaking of which Amelia’s design and personality reminds me a lot of Missasagi and Beatrice from RF5!)
I ask because I find you and your art amazing and interesting, and finding out fun stuff about artists you like is a fun way to engage and connect with them! Have a lovely day/evening/whatever time it is for you!
Hi hi!
Thats awesome! I also love True Crime!
And while I do love to draw!
I actually love to sing, cook breakfast sandwiches and play video games!
Believe it or not but I have dreamed about singing Opera but its hard! 😅 but i sing almost every song and genre! Heck! Ill sing country!
I love making breakfast sandwiches with my husband, it is a good feeling of staying home with a delicious breakfast and even having waffles(i love food!)
Who doesn’t love to play video games? I grew up with video games especially Final Fantasy games!(mainly FF14) i love all kinds even Horror! But im too afraid to play it XDXD
Im willing to take some answers! Thank you kindly for your kindness and understanding!💕♥️💕
Bonus: I love movies! Especially oldies like like Charlie Chaplin!

You know, when I think about Arcane I can't help but think about the fact that I'm not a huge fan of how Vander handled things.
I mean his heart was definitely in the right place, he wanted to protect his children and his people, but to be honest there were moments where I felt like he was very confidently doing the wrong thing.
Specially in a child rearing sense. Now I just want to put it out there, that we the audience are shown a biased depiction of Vander.
Just about every scene he's in he's surrounded by his people who (mostly) look to him for protection, his children who adore him, or his enemies who are literal drug lord gang leader bad guys and corrupt policemen. Who are not humanized by the story until after his death.
For one there's Vi's pretty obvious eldest daughter syndrome, which Vander does nothing to try and curb. In fact I feel like in most of their scenes together Vander is treating this unhealthy dynamic as Vi being her sibling's leader and that she therefor needs to take more responsibility for them.
Even though I feel like Vander teaching Vi that way of thinking caused a lot of problems for all of the kids.
Sure it's great when your kids can work together, but there shouldn't be a pecking order among them, and if there is you shouldn't encourage it.
Vander fully expects Vi to take responsibility for Powder(which makes some level of sense considering she's 4-ish years younger than Vi), but also Mylo and Claggor, who are both the same age as her.
Meaning that if Vander trusts Vi to look after herself (and Powder) I feel like he should be able to trust Mylo and Claggor to look after themselves.
Vi should not be saddled with the responsibility of being in charge of her siblings, who are literally the same age as her.
If Vander is going to be reprimanding Vi for getting into trouble, he should be getting on to Mylo and Claggor just as much.
Sure Mylo and Claggor mention that Vander is going to be upset, but it's very obvious that the majority of the responsibility rests on Vi's shoulders.
Which, sure they look up to Vi and listen to what she has to say and what she thinks they should be doing.
But if it's to the point where Vander thinks it's gotten to the point that they will literally blindly follow Vi into dangerous situations because she said so. Then I feel like it's time for Vander to have a sit down with the rest of his kids and have the very important "Thinking for yourself" talk.
It's- You can't raise your children to just blindly follow their oldest sibling their entire life, and raise the oldest child to be the caretaker of the rest of their siblings their entire life.
Yeah, Vi needs to think things through a bit more, because the other kids look up to her a lot, and will go along with whatever her plans are, because they think she knows what she's doing and they trust her.
But also the other kids need to know how to assess things for themselves, rather than just blindly follow whatever it is Vi says, no matter how much they look up to her.
Like this man fully thinks that his 15 year old daughter, who clearly has problems with her temper and being impulsive herself, should also be responsible for her two adoptive brothers who are functionally the same age as her [one with a pretty obvious superiority/inferiority complex], alongside her younger sister who already has problems of some kind of anxiety.
Mylo and Claggor are just fully not held to the same standard as Vi in spite of being the same age, and literally getting into the exact same trouble. Their choice to go along with what Vi planned, is put onto Vi's shoulders when it shouldn't be, because if Vi is old enough to know better in Vander's mind, so are Mylo and Claggor.
If it was just Powder I could somewhat understand. She's younger, more impressionable, she idolizes Vi, she's not as strong or fast as the other three and if Vi forgot that at some point Powder could have gotten left behind or hurt.
You know the general "You need to be a good role model for your younger sibling because they look to you for guidance" stuff.
Like the fact that Vi feels the need to fight Piltover in order to secure a better life for Powder in Act 1 tells me so much just how parentified Vi is when it comes to Powder's care.
Which I do think originated from before Vander adopted the girls, to be fair to Vander. Vi gives off the vibe of looking after Powder having always been her responsibility.
To be unfair to Vander, I don't think he did anything to try and undo Vi's over responsible and over protective mindset when it came to Powder after adopting them.

I have attempted to give the topic some deeper thought, but it seems that I can't feel much of anything right now...
Anyways uh... Genuine question. Does anyone here know about necromancy? In Mario games specifically. Genuinely curious. I've thought about that for years, but my gut never led me anywhere.
Maybe there's some canon information I can go off?

Eurovision Song Contest 1993
May 15, 1993 | Millstreet, Ireland
The 1993 Eurovision Song Contest, held in Millstreet, a small town in South West Ireland, home to 1500 people, was an ambitious production for national broadcaster RTE. The 1993 contest is to date, the only competition in Ireland that has been held outside of the capital Dublin. The early 1990s were a time of massive change in Europe. These changes were reflected in the Eurovision Song Contest as newly sovereign nations took to the stage. In order to accommodate the growing number of countries eager to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest, a pre-selection, Kvalifikacija za Millstreet, took place in Ljubljana, Slovenia ahead of the contest in which seven countries competed. Three countries made their respective debuts; Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia and Slovenia. The top two in 1993 was exactly the same as the year before; Ireland in first place, the United Kingdom in second. The Irish entry, In Your Eyes performed by Niamh Kavanagh beat the United Kingdom's Sonia on the very last vote. [eurovision.tv]

there's simply no way hetalia nation-people would always work alone, they would be likely often part of normal humans delegations, who wouldn't understand whatever the magical beings are talking between each others and thesefore needing interpreters, or finding other ways to communicate. if the nation-people idiom its impossible to be understood by humans, trying to use it to translate without knowing enough cultural background would be likely to fail.
so the universal languages is great for their 1-on-1 exchanges, or better, between reunions with only people like them, however, of course they would have learn more than one language, engaging in all the beauty and challenges of learning. they probably start having the innate knowledge of all their own dialects (...as long as are speaked), but from there they would need to know their close neighbours languages/dialects (that also is "theirs" knowing that moving to close territories or crossing imaginary lines frequently is something we humans do), what the not-so-close neighbours speak, learn a bunch different lingua francas before we ended with barely a few, languages teached in universities/institutes, languages from friends from all across the globe, and more: their life is about cultural exchanges after all.
