okay, we chatted about Desmond in otome games. Let's me give you one called KIssed by The Baddest Bidder.

Let's say Desmond got burned by the Eye indeed and his body is taken by Abstergo and next thing Desmond woke up, revived and full of rage in an empty operating room. He wants to hide and settle for something normal but the bleeds of his ancestors' tragic life makes him wanna avenge them some way and he disappeared. Thus leading what begun a mysterious purge to those certain people who work in Abstergo, huge headlines in the news and articles about it.

In the global crime underworld, an uprising faceless individual, mysterious and ominous with an alias name " The Grim Reaper". Mafias and criminals can gain a favor from him as long it aligns his goals. After the purge that went for 2 years, he once again disappeared like smoke.

Desmond starts his retirement as a cleaner in the day shift and a bartender at the night shift in the Tres Spades Hotel. He also ended saving a girl from strange men and now he's being sold in a black market auction as replacement for the girl who broke some glass statue. Sold 20 million is that he worth and they are VIPs in the hotel???? so much for peace and quiet.

Love interests in the game:

Eisuke Ichinomiya - mmmmmm. boss x worker that piques his interest. what if Coralina and her father recognizes Desmond a lookalike of a lord in Monteriggioni

Soryu Oh - used Desmond for some sort of escort or servant for Mei Ling. Yet Desmond acts a bodyguard like wtf how can he shoot with perfect accuracy and track people easily.

Mitsunari Baba - master thief x retired master assassin / hitman. Baba found the perfect partner in stealing albeit by force. what's this he walks silently, can find the target treasures easily. Why does his eyes seem to glint gold in the faint light at night? Baba is a flirt and womanizer yet Desmond is unexpected with witty sexual innuendos that makes Baba blush

Ota Kisaki - a scene where that two faced artist might sneak a peek Desmond's small notebook that he dropped accidentally. Ota opened to see beautiful pencil and pen drawn sketches of people and places. A castle, a fortesss, a homestead. People with a cowl and some don't. Cue Ota felt a chill and turned to see Desmond looking at him with a neutral face but his eyes are furious.

Mamoru Kishi - police man x retired assassin. enough said but make it mamoru aware of the a cold case of abstergo purge and look at Desmond's behavior like he can't... can he??????

Shuichi Hishikura politician x retired assassin. Desmond philosophical talks might make him think twice or shock him with small hints of secret history as playful jokes. Jokes right?????

Hikaru Aihara - working assassin x retired assassin. Desmond knows definitely about his work. Would be a nice scene where Hikaru knows the Grim Reaper or had heard or seen him work. Made a positive remarks in the strory telling and Desmond just internally laughs cos that's me but shhhhh

Luke Foster - probably angst and slow burn cos he's a doctor and desmond already have too many bad experiences with doctors and scientists

Rhion Hatter - the mad hatter.....maybe friends to lovers...

Basically just the bidders get a whiplash of what they thought is a normal and simple man named Desmond meets more than the eye HAHAHAHAHA

I’m kinda thinking of how this wouldn’t just end with Desmond going ‘fuck this shit’ and running away from whichever route he is in and the first thought I have is to stop him by pushing into his sense of duty and responsibility.

So we’re going to make Desmond have a desire for vengeance on this one.

He had simply been a retired Assassin, just living his life, when he learned that one of his coworkers died the day before the auction because he had been snooping around to find something.

Desmond learns that the killer is someone connected to the auction.

He saved the girl and agreed to be auctioned because he needs to find a way to get close to these VIPs to learn which of them killed his coworker.

Because his coworker?

… was one of the Assassins of the Japanese Brotherhood.

And that coworker was looking into the auction because one of the VIPs is actually one of the few Templars that escaped the ‘purge’.

When he learned that he was sold for 20 millions by multiple VIPs, he tried to sus them out using his Eagle Vision.

But they all glowed gold.

And that’s when Desmond has to pick one of them.

The idea is: the killer of the Assassin can be one of them or someone connected to them, the killer’s identity changes depending on which route Desmond takes. The Templar also changes into someone in the route, maybe even the main love interest.

The main point is that this keeps Desmond into keeping up the appearance of the being a ‘bought’ man, all the while having his own agenda.

Eisuke Ichinomiya – Carolina and her father are the Templars. To be more exact, her father is a Templar but she’s being ‘educated’ as one. This would have an alternate ending of Desmond being able to get to Caroline and she becomes his ally. Her father knows who Desmond Miles is and mistakes this to mean that Eisuke has allied with the Brotherhood.

Soryu Oh – The Templars would be after Mei Ling and Desmond gets to the bottom of it which ends up being messy af because Simon Lee actually has connection with the Assassins in China for some reason. The Ice Dragon is also connected with the Japanese Brotherhood.

Mitsunari Baba – Mitsunari’s next target turns out to be a POE and his informant is the Templar and killer. Desmond taking the POE instead of him will be the main cause of conflict between the two of them.

Ota Kisaki – This is one where Desmond would probably end up taking a more aggressive role because he’s not going to be a pet after the hell he went through from Abstergo and William Miles. Ota trying to talk to him like an unruly dog (maybe even call him a mutt) would end with Desmond punching him which will surprise Ota but also make Desmond interesting.

Mamoru Kishi – Mamoru is super sus of Desmond from the get go and Desmond thinks of him as a dirty cop so they’re not off to a good start. Part of their relationship arc would be Desmond finding out why Mamoru is more on the morally dubious side than plain dirty and Mamoru’s main conflict would be learning about Desmond’s past as the spree killer that singlehandedly taken down Abstergo and plunged the company to ruins by killing high ranking members after he had already fallen in love with Desmond.

Shuichi Hishikura – He and Desmond gets into debates more often than not. Desmond doesn’t have a good track records with politicians and people in power to govern the people so Desmond certainly pretends to be polite but he’s wary of Shuichi. Shuichi sees him as being bright though and thinks he might have a knack for politics which makes Desmond shiver in disgust.

Hikaru Aihara – This one would be more on Hikaru knowing there’s something more about Desmond but he can’t be sure but Desmond has heard of him. The Brotherhood had actually given him a head’s up because he’s a ‘freelancer assassin’. They were coworkers before he bought Desmond so they know each other and Desmond is suspicious that Hikaru might have been hired to kill the Assassin by a Templar.

Luke Foster – Desmond’s probably going to be flirty with him, might even slip and call him dottore more than once. Since he works in a secretive clinic that does back alley surgery, there’s a high possibility that Luke is actually an ally of the Brotherhood, not that Desmond knew that. He's comfortable with Luke sometimes because Ezio's Bleed makes him remember the doctors who didn't ask too many questions and simply healed him. Luke is actually keeping it a secret from Desmond because he believes Desmond is just caught up in all these because he’s trying to protect a girl and Desmond believes Luke is hiding something which means he needs to be cautious about him (this would be angst + slow burn + misunderstanding galore XD)

Rhion Hatter – considering he’s half English and the son of a duke, we can make him a Templar. If you don’t want a Templar x Assassin drama for this one, his grandmother could be the Templar and he ran away from her which makes him and Desmond have similar… family ‘problems’. XD

EP 13 opinion + illus

And it seems that the 13th has to be where our protagonist suffers the worst traumas...

I'm still digesting everything that happened so I'll probably have some ideas left out.

Well I can't shut up one more second about Erika's empty expressions... Since Ep 1 that in no illustration does Erika's face match the moment, so my least favorite image is the one of Lance, Nevra and Erika... the faces of the 3 are weird, but Erika looks like a diva who is being pulled off the back of a stage to run away from a horde of fans, I see her and I can hear her saying "hey put me down! ", at no time, no way, just looking at the image, I would NEVER have imagined that at that moment Erika was "heartbroken to leave Leiftan behind", it just doesn't look like it, that's not happening at the same moment of the illustration, period.

We move on to Mathieu's image, the moment is hard (and badly written because if you buy the image no matter your route, apparently you make out with Mathieu... Another Beemoov's mistake, I mean if we have to PAY for something WHY THE FUCK IS IT NEVER DONE RIGHT? Was it so hard to change 1 miserable line of text depending on your route? Erika's face... again it tells me nothing, it's the face I used to make when my mother scolded me, “empty face”. While Mathieu is giving it his all, at least his face gave me the feeling of being in deep shit.

mmmmmm Leiftan, first of all and I'll say it ONLY this time, in what game Otome, you don't have any interaction with your route for more than two episodes? At least the way the plot is going I guess Nevra and co. will succeed and Leiftan will be back at the beginning of ep 14, right beemoov? Beemoov???? Leiftan will be back right, because this is an otome and he's my route. 

Other than that he looks beautiful, finally his hair down, the timing does feel a bit anticlimactic, if you take away the couple of scenes that have to do with the image, it's like it didn't happen, Erika is like "meh, looks like I ate a lot before bed and that made me sick". honey... Leiftan has been missing for 2 days, his life depends solely on the threat Nevra made to your father, I would be hysterical, I would probably have to be sedated in the infirmary because I would have turned the whole H.Q. upside down by now, IT'S MY BABY WE'RE TALKING ABOUT. And this is just writing problems, because yes we have had situations like this, or did when Nath disappeared in MCL UL Amber went off to meditate? *disappointed sigh* always so close to glory and so close to failure...

Okay, I'm done with the images, now the plot.

I saw the doubt... I felt the instant of doubt in Erika after Nevra crossed the portal, even though she doesn't say anything, I felt that Erika at any moment would run in the opposite direction of the portal. What I liked is that most of the reactions seem pretty accurate to me, it's obvious that the head guards and Nevra have secret missions that Erika knows nothing about (that's why HH talked to them first and then to the bimbo, of that I'm sure) They ALL keep things from Erika, and I feel like I'll have to play this season again when it's over and all the little secrets come out.

It's all very hard and I think Erika is in denial, that's why she gets chatting with a soldier of her father's, that's why she thinks she can save Leiftan, that's why Lance has to take her away, because I wouldn't have left, because the thought that my father might kill me just can't get into my head that fast... It is already too much to assimilate that he directs the tortures, that in one night HC was tortured, she believed she would die there on earth, tortured by the men of her partner's father. Because it's one thing to hear it and believe it, and another thing to assimilate it, for your brain to absorb that information and function with respect to it... That's why I didn't like the "evil laugh" of Erika's father, it was unnecessary, caricatured, it broke the moment, he could have told his daughter that he will always love her and protect her no matter what, that would have hurt Erika much more, it would have made her doubt, it could confuse her now or in the future... well whatever instead of a ridiculous Disney villain laugh, a detail but you live on details. (I was a bit surprised that Erika doesn't even consider the possibility that HH might have sent his "shadow trio" to assassinate everyone in the command, her father included).

Despite everything... Nevra is one of my favorites this season, he is the leader, he is the boss when HH is not around and it shows, he acts like that, everything depends on him and everyone knows it (except Erika), he absorbs tons of information per second and adapts perfectly, they are running away from a burst of bullets (which he barely understands what bullets are) and yet he has the sensitivity to explain to Erika why they have to leave, because she does not see reasons at that moment, she is not a trained soldier, she is a rookie who does not understand about hard decisions, because it is one thing to make difficult decisions that affect you (such as the white sacrifice) and quite another thing to make difficult decisions that affect others. I don't have to understand that we have to leave without Leiftan, the feelings added to the lack of experience in this type of situation could easily cause an anxiety or hysteria attack, fainting or absolute despair, Erika could have gone crazy and destroyed everything in that lobby and I would have believed it.

Finally that's the big flaw of it all, there are no risks, when you feel something is going to get interesting they cut it, be it romance or plot, we all know Eldarya is more of a fantasy adventure story than a romance, then you have to take the risk like in the first season and deliver interesting arcs, In TO we had Ivonni, the myconids, the kappas, Naytili and Marie-Anne, all while corruption and war threatened Eldarya, it was interesting, each of these arcs were brutal and ended with deaths and lessons for the protagonist, character growth and the occasional moment with our route. Now in ANE we were introduced to Tenjin and what happened to him? Nothing, there were no risks, yes, a human died that no one cared about except Erika, so far we haven't heard from the kitsune king again and I feel it was a waste, and that's it, now on earth we have our father as a villain, and yes okay, it's pretty predictable, because obviously everything has to be related to Erika as implausible as it may seem, the arcs have moments that make no sense, that ignore or blatantly contradict what is already established and on top of that, for nothing. I feel disappointed with this season because it's very noticeable that it's just for money, it's almost an insult to the players that we've put up with so much (yes, I mean the fire), there's no love in ANE and I'm just waiting for a sterile ending... since Chinomiko left the team, Eldarya feels like the GOT seasons not based on the books, I hope for a similar ending... maybe Lance will burn them all like Daenerys and the truth I feel I don't care anymore, I keep a minimal interest for the lore they can deliver for my own fanfic... like many in the fandom and it's sad, I'm sad.

P.S: The whole Leiftan kidnapping thing will come to nothing, he's Captain Marvel in the MCU, they don't know what to do with him so they just disable him, Leiftan is too powerful to be able to participate in the main plot, and his relationship with Erika needs a lot of work (because they also gave them this bond that just makes things even more complex) to make it "healthy"... At this point I'm so confused that I don't know if the writers are geniuses or idiots (no offense) I mean, a part of the fandom that couldn't stand Leiftan now feel sorry for him.

Favorite line in JSHK?

mmmmmm... such a good question.

Surprisingly, not one from my ship trio ... who I feel aren't quite "there yet" with their thesis. Still waiting on them to say what needs to be said...!

Sumire and Hakubo really are the most direct and written out we've gotten so many things that are themes in the manga... and, I remember when I first read these lines, I was very shocked that the manga would so openly state something, in this context.... I'll have to really break it down a bit. But this line alone makes me unbelievably excited for the entire manga, every romance in it...

a caretaker, earnestly pitying and lovingly looking after something helpless. The action itself appears selfless, and kind. And in terms of only its actions ... it is. Healing something broken, helping something that would otherwise be lost without you. Nobody else will do this.... others would think it a waste. So much effort... so much of your time, and energy, and for something so needy, so reliant on you....

juxtaposing the injured rabbit Sumire caretakes with the bloodied Hakubo behind her... Hakubo is the poor, pitiable injured animal, mistreated in his life, needing love and care.

I really like that this manga could confront such a concept, and I'm not reading through the lines to see all of this ... it's maintext. Sumire loves Hakubo ... she does. She pities him, too. She can see the pain and emptiness in his life... his inability to care for himself, his inability to do anything other than what he's told. She sees him as 'broken'. He is. Through her love, she can control his life ... improve it. But also, 'have' it, for herself.

Such a direct way of confronting the 'caretaking you gives me control of your life' vibes we see in spades in the possessive, controlling, manipulative Hanako, who has incredible big brother vibes not only towards Tsukasa, but of course, Nene-chan, as well. Hanako is protective.... to a troubling degree. He is adoring, to a troubling degree. He is insecure ... he wants to exert influence, he'll do that by looking after Nene-chan. It works.... well, it works on Hakubo and Nene-chan both-- they are both resistant at the start to the relationship being pressed upon them, but are worked over by the persistent caretaking of the other. It's very effective.

For Hanako ... saving Yashiro's life, is partially out of the need to control her life itself. To have influence over her very existence ... it's of course, an act of love, and, an act of ownership, claim, possessiveness. These things are all not mutually exclusive... all threaded together very well, in Sumire and Hakubo's scenes.

So! When this happened I was like "oh, so we can just say it? We'll really take the caretaker yandere thing to the bank??? and we'll let them win, totally succeed, wear down their target in this way????" it's beautiful and scary, haha!! Charles Brandon is admiring the beauty of his horse combing it thoroughly with a brush when a sound erupts.

The horses goes crazy as a bright light sore above him and he combs him down putting him away.

He returns to the scene to find a younger age black male fall from the portal onto the ground.

GIGLI- 2003 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

One of the greatest movies of all time.

Gigli (rhymes with really) is a gangster/debt collector with a "heart of gold". He works for mob boss Lewis who tells him to abduct Brian, the mentally challenged brother of a federal prosecutor in order to blackmail him into dropping charges...

Things are complicated when Lewis hires another contractor to watch Gigli and Brian.

The contractor is Ricky (Jennifer Lopez), shes as beautiful as she is annoying. She almost exclusively talks in monologues. She never does anything physical in the movie but talks a good game. She says thats she knows a move where she gouges your eyes and takes your memories.

Naturally, Gigli is keen to bang her but surprise surprise.... shes a lesbian. Thankfully thats never stopped Ben Affleck and he proceeds to woo her....

Also, Gigli might be gay.

As Gigli and Ricky grow closer with Brian, the baywatch loving, mentally challenged guy they abducted, they start to have a crisis of conscience and consider starting a new life....

Gigli is one of the biggest box office bombs ever and is widely considered one of the worst movies ever made. How did the film turn out this bad exactly?

Some of the blame has to fall on Martin Brest who wrote and directed this. Unlike a lot of movies this bad, the director actually has a lot of experience. He directed Beverly Hills Cop, Midnight Run and Scent of a woman. After the release of Gigli he completely disappeared from the film industry and i wasnt able to find any comments from him about this film.

Another problem was that it was written as more serious and Sony wanted to cash in on the stars and made it more like a romcom against Martin Brest's wishes.

The budget for Gigli was 75 million dollars which seems impossible as most of it takes place in Larrys apartment, a whopping 52 mins of the runtime take place in there. Affleck and Lopez' combined salary added up to about 25 million dollars but i cant understand where the rest of the money went.

Christopher Walken and Al Pacino both appear in a scene each. Its hard to say which is stranger. Pacino is dressed as Tony Stark playing a character called Starkman who rambles incoherently about whether a thumb is a finger. Walken wants to get a big bowl of pie, some ice cream, put some on his head, his tongue will slap his brains out trying to get to it.

Mmmmmm good, interested?

With the exception of Ricky, Gigli, Brian and Lewis, every other character in the movie appears for only one scene, does something insane and then we never see them again.

Giglis mother invites him over to inject medicine into her ass. When he gets there she is wearing a pink thong and tries to bang Ricky.

Ricky's ex turns up at the apartment in a rage, tries to initiate a three way, fails, and then slits her wrists. Then they just disappear like nothing ever happened.

Part of what makes this movie so funny is how many awful lines theyre are. Everyone talks so crazy its unreal. Like when Ricky wants Gigli to go down on her:

Gigli was the first film to sweep the top five categories at the Razzies and was destroyed by critics everywhere. It doesnt seem to have found an audience the same way Troll 2 and The Room have but its one of my favourite movies of that kind. Its so needlessly offensive/very dated and at points it goes so off the rails you cant believe what youre watching. An essential watch.

I would forgive it more in manga format, because I got use to it, but watching it as live drama it was a bit to akward)

- Q’s cats are cuter than I imagined and wife and I already made a hc where James survives, retires at Q’s and knits them sweaters (apparently it’s a hobby that’s recommended for people who previously served in armed forces?? cute???)

- Q cooking was adorable and will change some hc’s from “he can’t function outside of work” into “he’s really good at following instructions and has even more talents than we expected”

- The movie has the perfect amount of banter/improvised aka real conversations that are flowing and feel... less like movie script?! (There’s a conversation Bond has with Safin that has me dsjgsjdgjsdgfsd almost 24h later holy heck yes thank you)

- The relationship that develops between Bond and Nomi and the handing-off of the title is worthy and beautiful and the timing and execution of it is perfect. Thank! You!

- I did not think I would like Madeleine as a character, but wow they made me do a 180, I like her now (no regrets)

- I will write a longer post on this, bc it’s a piece of culture I’m part of and am passionate about, but: Safin origin and the intersection of eastern Russia + Japanese influence on wardrobe and set design was mmmmmm *chef’s kiss*, it was worked into small details so SO WELL I can’t wait to pause screen and info-dump on my wife once we get a DVD release. That whole island was amazing, botany on point thank thank thank you so much

- Of course Q owns a 3D-printer 

- I’ve already seen a side-by side with Goldfinger and No Time To Die, cute easter egg!

- Felix scene had me cry, he had grown on me and James calling him a brother made me tear up

- Ok, comedy; I’m running out of words to say how well-balanced this movie was, but putting little funny elements in it (i.e. tea pots in the drawer, “it’s never 9 to 5, is it”), both visually and in conversation was great!

- Wardrobe, again, I loved the core character wardrobe, especially Moneypenny and Q! Q wears a sushi-chef apron in a scene in his flat that hints at the final destination of Bond’s adventure and overall wardrobe elements - foreshadowing had me dghfjgsdhjfgdfs Q in pajama’s, we all called it, blue matching set

- Locations, ofc great, Cuba was recreated beautifully, if anyone wants a mapped out post for London locations, let me know!

- Canon gay Q, not overplayed, no weird reactions in the movie, only positive feedback during my viewing (bless this city)

- Paloma felt real and wonderful as a character, I did not expect this, but I want MORE, heck, at least a whole movie with her. I loved Ana in Knives Out and I love seeing her in an action movie.

- There’s a line when Bond is about to embark for the island that had me cry and realise “wow, he’s not coming back this time” and that was... oh wow

- Social commentary relevant to current situations was subtle but appreciated (thank you Nomi), but especially making the audience realise that Bond has more integrity in Geneva convention and rules of espionage globally than M when it came to Heracles shifted the perspective of him as a character for me and I hope it does for other viewers. For a character to go through that was a big set-up for the finale, I am glad we got to see it! (If anyone kept count and knows his age by the end of the movie, do let me know)

- Radio scene, RADIO SCENE towards the end and everyone drinking to Bond (especially Q chugging the whiskey in one go wow you miss him buddy) dfgahsjdgfhjsadgfasd no wore words

- Soundtrack was a 10000000/10 I have nothing to add, score was beautiful, perfect hints at past pieces from the previous movies, eventually a nod to Brideshead Revisited, but what do I know about music, really

Predictions aka what I wish for in the future; 

- Nomi as 007, f you, whiny franchise gatekeepers, don’t care, I want what I want; Nomi and Moneypenny friendship

- Nomi on a mission with Paloma, Q on comms, *chef’s kiss* the chaos and potential this trio has is beyond what I can imagine, please unhand it, MGM

- That’s it, I would be super happy for Ben Whishaw to stay, ofc! Though he got confirmed for a series adaptation of “This is Going to Hurt”, a book I really enjoyed this year, so woooo!

- Equally excited for the whole circus around Who Will Be The Next James Bond?! From over a decade ago, was fun speculating.

- Less of a prediction, but seeing Daniel Craig get hurt consistently and taking a step away makes me hope to see him in indie movies again. He has grown on me as an actor and I can’t wait for Knives Out 2.

Random Update No One Asked For!! Part 3

I did it. I finally finished the brotherhood anime. It was wonderful and wholesome and I loved it. So here’s my thoughts since the last post:

-the May Chang and Scar relationship is really neat, i love how well it translated over into the anime. its not something you see everyday and i enjoy it

-Shrimp envy is my favorite envy

-the whole sequence with envy and Roy’s RevengeTM was incredibly hot (pun entirely intended)

-roy mustang’s character development was so cool. they stuck with the ‘i’m-only-involved-in-this-shit-because-it-helps-my-career-and-avenges-my-best-friend-but-also-i’m-secretly-a-nice-guy’ thing and did it really well, but also used him as a foil to both scar and ed by having him learn from others and listen to their advice

-JEAN HAVOC COMING IN FOR THE WIN ON PROMISED DAY

-king bradley’s death. the whole fight was really cool and i enjoyed it, but when he’s telling Lan Fan how she missed her chance for revenge and how he’s glad he had a life worth living. it was just MMMMMM

-the thing with envy and hawkeye. “he calls me riza when we’re alone” “so you two have that kind of relationship” “I lied” And then she just empties not one, not two, but THREE full mags plus some rounds from her rifle into envy with absolutely no hesitation. so much better than the manga sequence in my opinion

- i forgot to say this earlier, but i actually love kimblee as a character. like thats a psychotic character i can get behind

-ed’s subtle transformation into an adult

-hohenheim wears glasses just for the aesthetic

-greed is my guy. he and ling were the best and i loved all the scenes they had

-the maria ross entrance was beautiful

-royai exists! The unspoken communication between roy and riza when she’s bleeding out. Him clinging to her when he thinks he’s going to lose her. Them fighting together when he’s blind. and my favorite, sharing a hospital room

-olivier and alex fighting Sloth and arguing over who’s too hurt to keep going

-ed’s proposal to winry is the funniest shit. like this guy cannot for the life of him express any kind of important emotion without alchemy

-alphonse being back in his body!! so cute and very wholesome. he’s a good boy who wants to see the things

-the part in the hospital when Team Mustang is helping roy study about ishval

All in all it was great. Highly recommend. Now i’m going to watch the 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist series.

All five of you have been sitting at the table; your father, James, Sirius, you and your mother, who had just brought some tea.

Sirius has been smiling at you. You had been smiling at him but not because you had pleasantly enjoyed his sudden appearance, though he was a quite fit young man, but because it was all so amusing.

"So you have a sister?" Sirius turned his head to James, quirking an eyebrow.

"Yes..." James smiled awkwardly. "My younger sister, (Y/N)."

"That you had never mentioned." you grit your teeth a little and raised an eyebrow.

"Why haven't you, son?" asked your father, meanwhile your mother went to get Sirius some warm clothes.

"...it... didn't come in conversation..." James shrugged.

Both you and Sirius let out a laugh, exchanging a familiar look, as if the two of you were old friends already.

"Does anybody in Hogwarts know that you have a sister?" you asked, getting more stiff and angry, though you pretty much knew the answer. "I mean, some purebloods surely have to know." your tone started to get louder, causing James to sink in his chair. "Or was the fact that you have a Squib sister put shame to your popular reputation?" you stood up from your chair, glaring at your brother and seeing his friend stare at you with wide eyes.

You ignored his expression and made your way up-stairs, going off to bed. You didn't cry and you didn't yell. You weren't really sad to cry or angry to yell... you were just confused. That's all.

A few days passed and you didn't much talk to James. You avoided him, called a few friends and went into town with them. They were all mostly Muggles and you didn't mind that. You kept your secret life separate but you did tell them that your brother was keeping you as some sort of secret from his friends and the only explanation you had was that he was some sort of ashamed of you.

"That's rubbish, Pea."

That's what your friends called you. A nickname from the first day of school all those years ago, there was a little accident with peas at lunch. Everybody called you Pea since then. Everybody except your family.

"Than what other explanation is there?" you started to get frustrated, digging your head into your hands. "I just don't understand!"

"Why don't you just ask him?"

"I did. He's determined to avoid the topic." you drank your coffee and threw yourself back.

"And his friend?" she raised one of her eyebrows.

"Sirius."

"Sirius. What a name..." she started to tease you. "Is he cute?"

"He is." you smiled a bit. "Quite fit."

"Uff! What does he look like?"

"Well, he's tall, a bit shorter than Jamie but he's got a gorgeous face. Like if Aphrodite had a son with Kleopatra, he'd be the product of them."

"Hell, that good looking?" she rolled her eyes, thinking you were being your usual sarcastic self.

But you weren't. He was literally beautiful. "Okay, look. I am not in love with the guy. I just have eyes and my eyes love pretty things. He is one of those pretty things."

"Objectifying now, are we?" she continued to tease.

"You know what I meant."

"What about Alissa?" she asked, wiggling her eyebrows and causing you to sink in your chair.

"Okay, let me just call mum. Tell her, I'm going to be a tad late." you winked at her and ran to the payphone at the back of the cafe. You spun the number and waited.

Your family loved the phone. Being a wizard, the communication usually fell through the letters but since you lived with one foot in the Muggle world, the discovery of the payphone has made you overly-excited as well as your parents. The communication was much faster and you could always call your home whenever you needed.

"Hello?" there was a foreign voice that only seemed to belong to one person in that house.

"Sirius? Is that you?"

"What kind of sorcery is this?!" he shouted into the phone. "Who is this!?"

"Sirius, it's (Y/N)."

"Oh! James' little secret sister."

"Yeah, that one." you rolled your eyes.

"Are you stuck in there?"

"Where?"

"In this tiny box? Do I have to call your mum to get you out?"

"Sirius, this is a phone."

"Oh! I've heard of those. It's a Muggle thing." he let out a laugh. "Foolish little thing. When you can just write something and poof it to someone's way."

"Well, I can't really poof it, can't I?" you smiled as you heard him gulp on the other side.

"Uh... sorry... I forgot."

"It's fine." you giggled, letting him know you are not offended from his reckless words. "Can you get mum anyway?"

"Why?"

"Because I have to tell her I'm going to come home late today."

"Oh." you could see him leaning on the wall and smirking at the idea. "Where are you off to?"

"Only a friend's house.

"A-ha." he doubted. "Friend's house." he continued to speak in a mocking tone. "Am I-"

"Oh, you've discovered the phone." you heard James in the background, laughing. "Who is it?"

"This thing is magnificent, Prongs. I can talk to her like she's here, though she's not in this tiny little box.... is she?" he whispered the last part, covering the phone.

"It's (y/n)? Is she still mad at me?" he leaned on the phone. "Stop being such a stubborn little arse and get over it!" he shouted, meanwhile you rolled your eyes.

"She says she's staying at a friend's house?" said Sirius.

"No, she's not." James laughed. "Her friend, Mandy, lives with her uncle who doesn't approve of (y/n) what-so-ever. She's going to a party."

"Am not!" you shouted through the phone, clearly lying. "I'm not going to Mandy's... I'm going to Zoe's."

"Zoe? I thought she goes to Greece during the summer."

"She's staying this summer. Broke a leg."

"Broke a leg my arse!" James shouted.

"Can we come too?" you heard Sirius through the phone.

"Maybe next time. I don't think I can manage James' face without punching it yet." you shrugged.

"Can I come then?"

"Oi! Don't be a prick."

"What?! It's a party!"

"Just tell mum I'm coming home late and that-" and with that the call got cut. You looked at it with surprise and then just shrugged. "They got the message."

You had come home, not drunk, not tipsy... just a little dazed. You wished you were wasted but a memory of you not being able to walk a few years ago due to some heavy home-made Scottish Whiskey, you had decided that getting wasted wasn't worth it.

You put your shoes away carefully and quietly before going to the kitchen. A simple walk home sobered you up. You could walk normally, feel lighter on your feet but wanting to collapse into your bed as soon as possible. Though you were starving, so the fridge was the first stop. Toast, mayo, baloney and cheese.

"Mmmmmm." you rolled your eyes back from the delicious flavor in your mouth, almost melting as it filled your stomach. When your eyes rolled back to the sandwich you felt like you saw a spark of light from the corner of your eye. You glanced back up and saw a familiar figure standing on the porch.

He was leaning over the fence, mind deep in thought, eyes far in the distance. Brushing your hands on your pants, you opened the door from the porch and peeked out.

"Peek a boo." you said casually but he didn't budge, only turned back calmly.

He gave you a soft smile and moved a little to give you space. "How was the party?" he said as he flickered the cigarette away, shutting up the grasshoppers.

"Eh." you shrugged, mimicking his position. "Wasn't really a party, more like a friendly gathering."

"Bummer."

"Not really." you laughed. "There were all these random people, Muggles as you call them and I knew three or four of them. People kept leaving and coming, random people that I know from school but never really hung out with them, you know?" you looked at him and he smiled, listening on. "And I did talk and flirt with this guy, who kept coming onto me but all the time I kept observing others and by the end of the night, when I came home, there was only one person on my mind and it wasn't that guy- that random, thought quite charming and nice guy- but it was this girl from school with pretty bluish-greenish-brownish eyes."

"All three colours?" he laughed.

"They change colour a lot, okay?" you laughed. "But it's not even the colour, more like the way she looks at me- like she's in love with me but I don't know if she's in love with me because one day she's all for it and another moment she's ignoring me. It's so frustrating."

"So you like girls?"

"More or so. I don't mind guys either."

"Which one do you prefer?" he asked from curiosity.

Though it wasn't one of your favorite questions to hear, you still replied casually. "It's not the matter of preference, more like the matter of which I fall in love with. Guys are simple. They think simple and there's no secret meaning behind their words. You know when they want to snog you or shag you or when they want something serious or not serious. Simple."

"And girls are not simple?" he laughed.

"Oh, girls are so complicated!" you groaned. "Not all of them of course. Not me." you laughed and he chuckled as well.

"Not you?"

"No. I don't like to complicate things just because of how my last girl did."

"Your ex?"

"Not really an ex. It was an odd situation but listen up to this." you started to get more comfortable. "She and me have been writing to each other- she was a tough nut to crack to be honest. I was breaking the ice with that girl for like a year and a half. She was hot and cold with me. I never knew what she meant. One day she was giving me hints she was into me, another times she was completely ignoring me."

"Is this the same girl you talked about before?"

"No-" you stopped, thinking back a little. "Though it is a similar situation, isn't it?" you asked him, meanwhile he laughed.

"I think so."

"Hm... I'll get back to that thought." you pinned the realisation down and continued with the story. "Okay, so she was finally starting to open up to me- also she was tall and dark and gorgeous green eyes, super hot- I can't leave that out."

"No, you can't."

"She was getting to open up, telling me stuff about her family, her friends, which classmates she hated and I was getting excited because LOOKIE THAT! SHE MIGHT TAKE A FANCY IN ME." you said over-excitedly, throwing your hands in the air before your face and your hands fell back down. "And then I see her hugging a boy in the hall and suddenly they're both dating."

"Oh, bummer!" He laughed. "She was straight."

"Oh, hell no." you laughed. "That girl was definitely not straight but her parents were, so-"

"Oh, makes sense."

"Perfectly good sense. She's studying to become a lawyer."

"A lawyer?"

"Yes, a lawyer."

"Bet her parents are happy."

"Over the moon, I suppose."

"And you?"

"Eh. I moved on from her a long time ago. To be honest, I just liked the chase." you let out another laugh and he rolled his eyes.

"Really?"

"I always love a little chase or runner dynamic."

"So you're the chaser?"

"Or the runner, depends which one I'm feeling. Today was more like a runner but when I play the runner, they really give up easily, you know?"

"I actually do know." he shook his head a bit, pulled out another cigarette and lit it up. "Does James know?"

"He does but not about... you know... them. He just knows about it."

"What do you mean?" he started to laugh again. You were funny. He liked funny girls and from the way you reacted to James' little secret, he thought you'd be just like the others but you were so simple and funny with a tad of mystery in your eyes.

"He only knows bits of it."

"Bits of it?" he quirked an eyebrow. "I thought the two of you tell each other everything."

"Clearly not." you rolled your eyes and dropped your head back. "I'm a secret."

"A pretty secret." he blurted out before he could help himself. Noticing what he had said as he had watched you drop your head back, your hair flowing in mid air and your eyes focused on the distance, he really couldn't keep it in. James kept you a secret. A pretty little secret and he never understood why. He had known him for so long and he hadn't mentioned you once in all those years. Did Peter know? Or Remus? Or did really nobody know that James Potter really had a younger sister, who had no magical abilities.

"You think I'm pretty?" you smirked, quirking an eyebrow yourself.

He let out an embarrassed laugh and looked away just before his eyes locked with yours again, the blue that is bright in the day, now dark, almost black in the night. "I have eyes, (y/n). It's just a mere observation."

"Oh." you laughed as well, jumping down from the fence and putting your hand on his shoulder. "Than as a mere observation, I can say that you are extremely hot." you put your hand on his cheek and tapped it a few times just before you made your way to your bed. "Goodnight, Sirius Black."

He watched you walk away with his cheeks burning red. Bold, daunting- you were. Similar in a way with how James acted but he had to admit that you seemed quite more of an adventure than James. It sounded ignorant to say that. You were new, something hidden, now on the surface where he can marvel at you. He felt just a little bit more excited than the day he met James. Such a thrill, knowing that he has all the summer getting to spend with you.

YOOOOOOO I BINGEREAD YOUR SERIES AND ITS SO GOOD!!!!! LIKE FINALLY SOME GOOD DAMN FOOD WITH DELICIOUS FLAVORS (g-get it? ;>) like I am so obsessed with your characterization of Xiao in the series. I love love love that he’s inexperienced. Like I know it’s implied he’s actually quite familiar with crimes and stuff but like I can see that he’s not a perfect yandere with perfect strategies and perfect fighting tactics. It’s realistic and I love it, although, I do feel really bad for Xiao and his past. We’re learning more about him and I’m just,,,sad. Ik he’s practically a criminal, but I genuinely empathize with him. The poor boy. You’ve done well with showing the effect of his past on him currently. He’s insecure, reserved, and miserable. Which brings me to I think my favorite scene in the series in which reader is shoved into the closet again when Zhongli comes visit Xiao. The moment when they find the posters that’s been vandalized with Xiao’s handwriting. Omg idk how to explain it, but it’s just- omgggg so good. Because we can see Xiao’s trauma and how he has never really healed from it. He’s haunted by it and whenever it gets bad, it looks like he folds into himself. He retracts to his child self and I just love that you describe his handwriting slowly descending to incoherency. How the posters are marked and stuff, like a person who’s definitely been hurt so bad, their past punishments still find its way into their life after leaving the toxic situation,,,ugh- you just wrote it so well. It’s beautiful. Also I really love all of the metaphors you put, it’s just mmmmMM SO GOOD. Ahhhhck this is getting too long, so imma end it here, but you’re doing great, keep up the amazing work.

I like to call it Xiao’s panic room of sorts, as it’s a place where he can go to calm down when he’s not feeling the best mentally. In there he is surrounded by the face of the person he cherishes most. And since reader is no longer kept there while he’s out of the house, he’s free to add even more posters to it. (yikes... ;;;) 

But I’m happy everything is portrayed nicely and in a way that’s enjoyable to read. :D The next chapter will have plenty of fun scenes that I loved writing, so I hope you will love them, too!

ALRIGHT here’s just a paragraph of me putting my thoughts on this chap and stuff for next chap since i’ve no where else to put it 💀💀

This was the absolute most CUTEST chapter yet it was just so nostalgic and beautiful, the scene of her imagining jean and her brothers back to them as young boys made me smile and i couldn’t stop it was honestly so beautifully written and i LOVED it

My favourite part was the parts of her and jean in his room and how they slept together it was all so cute. how she was naming constellations and he seemed genuinely interested and talking about the future n shit and how he went asleep and she went asleep on him AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. AHHHHXHXHXJXJJSJSJS MY HEART AND STOMACH AT THAT SCENE BRUH I SWEAR TO ABSOLJTE FUCKING GOD. OMG I LOVE THIS SO MUCH I LOOOOOVE WHEN GIVE ME LONG DETAILED DETAILS/FEEDBACK ITS MY FAVORITE

i’m gonna respond back to each paragraph so hold on:

the part where yn envisions her brothers as siblings was definitely the hardest part to write for me and even though it’s in the beginning of the chapter, it was the very last scene i wrote because i was struggling so much with it like i wanted it to be perfect

prince phoenix definitely did notice she was sad, in the part where she says he was talking to her as she walking him to the gates but she was zoned out and wasn’t listening, he asks her what’s wrong and tells hers stuff and that’s why he hugs her because he feels bad (it’ll get more into it in this next chapter)

the part where she runs to her room crying was one of my favorite scenes to write, i know this sounds HORRIBLE and u guys are gonna be like “yeah bitch we can tell” but i LOVEEEE writing gut-wrenching, heartbreaking scenes like it’s my fav kind of scene to write and the fact that i got that emotion out of ppl makes me happy in the sense that i got my point across like the point was for the reasons to feel her pain and that’s what happened so YAY ME (sorry y’all)

jean hanging on the door LMFAO i just had to include the veronica scene because first of all HOT, second because i feel like jean is always so nonchalant and pretends he isn’t bothered and that scene is one of the first scenes we really see him worried about her and putting his pride aside fully by begging and pleading her to talk to him which is massive for his character development

with mikasa, i understand both sides like i get why mikasa wants to distance herself because she feels like it’ll hurt less to say goodbye but also like she needs to be there for yn when she really needs her, also mikasa is getting more attached to eren since she knows eren is gonna be here forever and yn won’t, it’s kinda like she accepting she has to move on but you’re right she shouldn’t be cold toward her atleast LMFAO NOT U SAYING PARASITE YN IS GONNA STEAL HER MAN

yesss the levi scene is definitely detrimental to the storyline in so many ways, the readers can kinda see the connection that her powers are controlled by her intentions si since she’s always so kind and caring, her attentions are always good but right now, she’s starting to go through some tough shit and her emotions are everywhere to the point where she can no longer control/hide how she feels which correlates with her powers as well

and YES we do see those couple days from jeans pov in the next chapter so he’s pov on when they’re outside running around, when she’s asleep on him, when she goes over every night, when he finds out yn got proposed to etc he also goes and reads the letters she sent years ago so i’m excited for u guys to read that as well

jean touching her waist has a lot more significance than people realize, he’s known her his entire life and only has touched her hands/arms/shoulders because they never were close like that. now that he’s getting closer to her, he’s able to touch her in more personal spots aka her waist, that’s also why he has a habit of always lifting her chin up too because he couldn’t touch her face like that before either

the SMUTTTT it’s gonna be real good like i’m so hyped for it and i know all these bitches are too LOL it’s been MONTHS since i’ve written smut so i’m really excited to get back into it and i think this one is a tad bit more exciting for me because like you said yn is a virgin so he is gonna have this overwhelming feeling that he has to be gentle while having to hide the fact he wants to fuck her brains out LMFAO
