Xerosic has no job outside of Flare, no hidden occupation, no time spent elsewhere. Generally he keeps to himself in the lower levels of the Lab, however there are times where has is required above or even in the main building of Lysandre Labs. His identity has no bearing in society, it doesn't even entirely exist. He is technically responsible for overseeing many of the projects within Flare when others--like Lysandre or the girls--are unable to give proper judgement on the matter. He is a prodigy in most sciences, though his focus is on the unexplained, the old/ancient technology that has yet to truly be tapped into, the "unethical," the "taboo." Despite his interests being more leaning towards what could be considered amoral, Xerosic doesn't inherently believe himself to be unethical by principle. He's humane in how he goes about his projects, they are not done carelessly and whenever a project does go wrong he always wants to focus on fixing that error completely to assure it doesn't repeat. This is especially true when working on personal projects he has a large investment in--if something goes wrong it might risk lives, and risking lives is too much of a risk unless it has proper fail-safes.

…you know my answer to this used to be a lot more "while most of the fic is boring at best to me, I don't inherently dislike the idea of the ship, I've enjoyed some individual good fics!" than anything. but honestly. it's really gotten to the point this is broadly true ngl, lmao. did i make it that obvious or was it just the near-complete omission on this blog
