I thought that this 1882 Victorian in Oakland, Maryland was going to be amazing, b/c the exterior looks so nice, but the 7bd, 3ba home was done by a flipper who either ran out of money or just said "screw it." Asking $300K. The buyer will have to finish the house.

They put a lot of money into the exterior, but gave up on some of the interior. They didn't even dust the stairs.

They left some original features, which is a good thing, like this fireplace, and it's the only one. They also went with the popular gray color scheme.

The bath got a modular shower, a new pedestal sink, and drywall.

The kitchen redo- typical flipper white shaker cabinets. The fridge fits, so why the board on the side?

Those would be the original service stairs on the left.

I'm so confused, but I think that this is the dining room.

This is a horror. They gave up on the floor, didn't refinish the stairs and put up gray paneling.

The bedrooms are all gray and the floors are in various conditions.

This looks like a bath and hallway to the attic.

New bath.

The rest of the money went to finishing the attic.

It's huge and the best space in the house.

Love the turret room.

There's a full bath up here, too.

The stairs will need some sort of protective finish.

The patio needs some work and the garden is overgrown, but there's a brick barbecue. Can't tell if it's useable.

It's a large house for the price.

He put on a new roof that must've cost several thousand. The lot is .04 acre.

A simple apartment reno for my "and they were roommates" savefile. Originally home to Austin Wentworth—the flat is now shared by him and two other buddies of his from high school/college.

I wanted to keep it simple, dark colors + greens with splashes of white/cream to fit all of their individual styles. I meant for this to be somewhat of a bachelor pad/hangout spot for their friend group so big open windows to let that natural light in was a must. Honestly, Medina Studios has some of the best lighting in San Myshuno.

Which is why I always have the lights off. There is one light in the living room but its a low light so it doesn't overshadow that natural sunlight :)

OUTDOOR MODULAR ARENA

Welcome to Aspen Meadows, a three-lot show complex built to meet all your equestrian needs! This is the first of three arena lots I plan to share. Aspen Meadows has been a big project of mine since November and I'm very excited to share it with you now. The Aspen Meadows Outdoor Arena is a 50x40 lot built specifically to be placed on the Bailey Moon Manor lot in Del Sol Valley. It is a sand arena with covered spectator seating, a judge's tent, and a lighting setup to make both day and nighttime competitions possible.

Modular arena, you say? What's a modular arena?

This is a system I've been using to build most of my arenas lately - I place down a room, adjust it to the size I want my arena to be, delete the ceiling, and replace the walls with fences. Since each arena layout is an individual 'room', all I have to do to switch between them is click the room, delete it, and then swap the layout I want into the empty spot. This has allowed me to make multiple configurations of an arena on the same lot, without having to save each lot over and over again. As such, this download comes with tray files for the lot itself (with the Dressage arena pre-loaded), the Dressage Arena, and an empty arena for you to DIY to your heart's content!

This lot is built with items from Island Living, Get to Work, Romantic Garden, and High School Years.

4t2 Shell Challenge - LunaSims "TinyGalaxy" Family Home

Got another 4T2 shell challenge for you! Not only is it on a 1x1 lot, it was actually made with an even SMALLER limitation - this is a TS4 "micro home", aka 60 tiles!! (Well, ok, plus a couple extra to account for differences between TS4 and TS2, but don't sue me.)

The original TS4 TinyGalaxy challenge was posted by LunaSims on YouTube, who set the additional challenge of trying to make it a family home. So this is a fully-furnished TS2 micro home which can support 4* Sims, though it is not a starter home, costing a little over §50k.

The first floor is kitchen/dining, with a fireplace and bookshelf, plus access to the bathroom (typical 2x3 affair).

The stairs have been placed with Nopke's mod so even if you don't have that mod, your Sims should hopefully still be able to walk underneath them. The stairs function, but be mindful that Sims will still not be able to walk over the third tile that usually cuts out the flooring (here under the left side of the desk) if you decide to move/delete furniture. They can still access things placed on top of it, e.g. the phone.

The two bedrooms! The kids could make better use of their space if you were to use CC bunkbeds, but it's still perfectly serviceable as-is.

*Of course, in TS2, two Sims can only sleep in this double bed if you have a mod that allows them to access inaccessible beds. Two single beds will easily fit in this room, so this house can still support four Sims, but if you play a completely vanilla game, then as presented, this house is only really built for three Sims. (Does anyone play without that mod, though?)

Lastly, the small yard. There's a little veggie garden, some skilling objects, and more kids' playstuff. There's also an apple tree out the front.

Technically outdoor spaces enclosed with fences are supposed to count against TS4's "tiny home" tile counter, but there are ways to totally cheese that in-game, so nobody cares. Landings for modular staircases (such as the ones by the front and back doors) also don't count as floor tiles in TS4 like they do in TS2, so I gave them to us for free.

But there you are! A functioning TS2 micro family home on a 1x1 lot. I've playtested it and everything should be accessible & functional, even the storage under the stairs. I think LunaSims's original roofing on this shell was super super cute and it even looks good in TS2!

“I’m just saying.” Jess gently lays There is a Bird on Your Head! in the pile to his left.

Rory snatches it up again and presses it to her chest. “Iconoclast. Contrarian. Meanie!”

“Excuse me, did you call me here to ask you to sort Cletus’s library or not?”

She pouts up at him from her spot on the floor. “I did. I think I also threatened you with violence if you didn’t stop calling my unborn child Cletus.”

“Did you? I must’ve missed that.”

“Jess,” Rory whines. “Mo Willems. He wrote for Sesame Street. You watched Sesame Street four times a day when you were little!”

Jess leans forward in the chintzy glider Luke and Lorelai brought over earlier that week and flutters his fingers towards the low modular bookshelves lining one wall of the nursery. “And you have two other Mo Willems titles on the shelf already. I let you convince me on Knufflebunny—”

“This is the new version, with the updated dedication to Trix!”

“—and begrudgingly accepted that We Are in a Book is a solid introduction to metaliterature—”

“Begrudgingly?!”

“—but I’m putting my foot down here. Do not let the weed of Elephant Gerald choke out the rest of your literary garden, Mother Gilmore.”

“Oh, okay, let’s just add a threat of violence for using the phrase Mother Gilmore to your account.”

He laughs and shudders. “Yeah, I kinda squicked myself out on that one too.”

“So, should we consider the rest of your argument moot then? I think we should.”

“Rory, you have no more space. Are you telling me with a straight face that you’re not buying any more books between now and when the kid finally makes an appearance?”

She starts to answer him, but gives a funny little strangled yelp instead.

Immediately Jess is kneeling next to her. “What?!”

But Rory’s laughing. “Nothing, nothing. They just kicked. Hard, too.”

She doesn’t wait for permission, rather grabs his wrist and presses his hand to the lower right side of her stomach. They mutually ignore the jump of their pulses.

They wait a beat, and then:

“Oh shit!”

“Right?!”

“Mia Hamm in there.”

She smiles. “Hand me the little notebook off the nightstand? There should be a pen too.”

He unfolds himself from the floor and crosses to the other side of the room. “Counting kicks?” he asks her as he hands her both items. “Isn’t it a little early?”

Rory squints up at him and flips open the cover. “And how would you know?”

He feigns offense. “Hey, I have known upwards of two pregnant people.”

“Soooo, your mom and… me?”

“Among others.”

She laughs and makes a note on the page. “Twenty-eight weeks is when they suggest you start, so I’m right on schedule.”

“What are you supposed to record?”

(In eight months, on the phone during one of her late-night feedings when she can’t sleep and he’s the only other one awake, he’ll confess he had been reading baby books for the duration of her pregnancy. But that’s eight months away.)

“Oh, you know. Number of kicks, time since the last movement. I’m also trying to track down what the stimuli might be.”

Jess nods. “Very complete.”

She waggles the notebook at him and grins. “It’s not every day you get to record baby’s first objection to a bad take on a book.”

“Oh for…” Jess rolls his eyes and grins. “So you’re just going to, what? Buy another bookshelf for this tiny room?”

She beams at him and holds out her hands. He hauls her to her feet. “See, that’s the kind of outside the box thinking I keep you around for, Mariano.”

I was dusting the house as normal, like I did every week when I saw a strange golden card note on the kitchen table labelled “for my first ancilla”

“Strange” I thought, Mistress Luci was not normally like this, sure she was affectionate at times, but that’s normal for humans to feel that way about their pets. Curious, I opened it, it said: “3pm, on the private beach, near the cove, dress your best”

The time came and I walked down the garden and down the cobbled steps onto the beach. I was dressed in Merrel sandals instead of the standard Imperial Serva heeled sandals, a pink and white pleated skirt given as a gift for good behaviour instead of my summer cherry skirt or my standard issue skirt , a Very Special Occasion (MEO-Mucha Especial Ocasión) scented wick away slave blouse instead of the standard version, and a Peugeot love heart shaped chain link Titanium alloy collar instead of the standard oval chain link medicollar

Mistress looked at me up and down like five times before saying a word. “You’re… beautiful” she finally said, clearly rendered speechless. I curtsy in front of her, “thank you Domina” i replied, remembering to use Latin as well as my native British “where are we going” she had no obligation to reply and so kept silent as we walked to the cove admiring the waves and the cool afternoon, until I could see it, her Amphibicar Fiat Chariot (think like an Italian Ford Crown Victoria or Opel Omega), those things had been around 2610 AUC (1867), but this was a 22nd generation rear mid engined 2766 (2012) Amphibian vehicle variant (itself in it’s 10th generation since 2680 (1947)) with a 5.5L Ferrari Turbo V8, modular and hydraulically adjustable bench seats front and rear, four wheel drive courtesy of Lancia and a luxurious 3-speed hydraulic automatic transmission (with three electro-locked overdrive gears tacked on in the 2760 refresh for fuel and performance, as well as to hide its age) yanked out of the Buick Sappho coupe “Mistress this is wonderful” I turned to see her and say thank you, but found her on one knee

“Julia, I have legally submitted a form for us to be married, so that you won’t have to worry about losing me, your first constant and comfort in a long time” she pulled out a finger print scanner, “all I need is your fingerprint”, I pressed down excitedly, then my tabula got a notification

“Married to Doctor Luciana Antonia Presenti MD, PhD”

And another, from Fiat Intelligencia Automobilli “Authorised Guest of Luciana Presenti’s Intelligent Control System on her 2766 Fiat Chariot”

Mistress added on, “use it wisely”

I oblige “Fiat, open doors-“

Mistress chides playfully “No slave, stupid slut, type it out in the app”

I open the app and find the command room, where I find Mistress had already done test runs, I type in, “open driver door and say “welcome Domina””. It does so flawlessly and without hesitation. Mistress blushed “thanks pet, really appreciate it” she found the 2730s Buick touchscreen still in there with updated visuals and apps, but the same size of the screen and the same working concept. She typed in, “open passenger left back door and give the back ambient red gel lights and put on brothel music”. It did so. “very funny mistress”
