I've decided to make my very own winter-themed challenge this December, complete with 31 prompts, and a a questionable anon a03 collection (for those who want to use it.)

Guidelines: For this challenge you can write a short fic, a long fic, a drabble, fanfic, write poetry, make art, whatever. Just base it somewhat on the prompt you use. Also, please put what # prompt you used. Ends the 31st.

if you decide you want to take part in the challenge, don't forget to reblog and share your work!

To the participants: don't feel obligated to start on the 1st, or do to a prompt everyday. Do whichever, whenever, and if it takes all month to do something, you did it! we all know this is gonna be me

Good Omentober #3 "Fall"

Poor Crowley. He can't seem to catch a break in my writing these days. I hope one of these days I can give him something nice, for a change. Maybe Aziraphale has some ideas? 😏

He could not see. In fact, he wasn’t sure he could feel anything. He was numb. Numb, and freezing cold, and… Empty.

He couldn’t feel Her.

He couldn’t feel Her!

He wailed wordlessly out into the void.

No response. He was alone.

He was a brittle cast surrounding an empty space where Her Light used to be. 

But wait, what was this? He was holding something. It was the crank handle, for the engine of creation. He remembered. He clasped it tightly to his chest, and cried helpless tears.

Writing Round-up

okay, so, elephant in the room - you all will see, I started a month writing challenge that I clearly didn’t finish. I hadn’t mentioned anything at this point bc quite frankly I got super frustrated with myself (not that I think anyone is really wondering why, but for the sake of clarity) over not finishing - but let us not talk about that, and I’ll just say that saying I was going to write every day for a month was a much easier thing to do vs the actual task, which was in fact, quite hard.

anywho, instead of just giving up entirely, I decided to take the ideas I still had, and just write as much as I could before the month was up. meaning, I have some extra for anyone interested!

I said in the beginning, I was gunna post any fics I liked to my ao3 - and I’ve just decided to do them all, including the ones I didn’t post here as part of the challenge. so, if anyone is curious, here is a list to my works to see if anything there tickles your fancy. I’m gunna post the links to each individual fic based on their fandom below if that’s easier for you, but just so this post isn’t super long, that’s that.

Pro Wrestling Monthly Writing Challenge!!

Starting on January 1st I’m gonna try to write as much as I possibly can each month based on the ideas up above! Each months story will mostly be its own unique standalone unless “prompts” connect or someone wants an elaboration.

Each month will be a different wrestler or wrestling ship depending on the muses and who’s singing when. Those wrestlers will include but not be limited to: Eddie Kingston, Jon Moxley/Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Wheeler Yuta, Danny Garcia, Roman Reigns & Jey Uso. I will take wrestler requests now to better plan for January!

I already have some ideas of who I want to write for each month but I’m open to suggestions too!

Good Omentober #6 "The Bentley"

Vroom vroom! Finally! She loved Crowley, she really did, but boy oh boy if the angel didn’t get her all fluttery in the engine. He was soft! So smiley! Said nice things! He patted her on the hood, and stroked her leathers! Bestest! It all made her feel lighter, like she wasn’t a hundred years old. Yellow! She was yellow and it was glorious! She was wheeling leisurely through the countryside, and she was yellow! Whee!

One of these days, she wouldn’t change back. Crowley would be beside himself, but the angel? The angel would smooth it over with the demon in a heartbeat. 

The Bentley purred on like a smug cat. Vroom!

writing diary: Monday, May 1st, 2023

This month, I want to focus on consistency.

There are so many ideas bubbling in my brain for my novel. And while I've worked piecemeal on a variety of things, I know that I can only bring these ideas to full fruition if I sit down with the actual intention to specifically work on my novel.

So, this is what I'm committing to doing throughout the month of May:

Spend 30 minutes per day dedicated exclusively to working on my novel: whether through research, outlining, refining character profiles, drafting, comp reading, etc.

Attend every weekly co-writing session with my writing cohort: in hopes that public accountability can influence signifanct progress!

Write and share a writing reflection here, every Saturday.

In May, I want to be less concerned with the outcome (i.e. an outline, a certain number of pages and/or chapters, a pitch deck, etc.) and more focused on developing the practice (i.e. showing up to do the work on a regular basis).

I have my eyes set on a more extensive novel writing challenge in the summer. Here's hoping that this practice to which I'm committing in May will set a good foundation for the summer months...
