Mortal Kombat Armageddon All-Stars is over
I should have said it last year. But yeah. It’s over and canceled.
One reason includes College has taken over me and I have a ton of work to do. That’s life and now I’m nearly 24, I couldn’t bear myself to continue that monstrosity I’ve started in high school. Look at the earlier episodes, my teenage self doesn’t know how to write a story and it has so many inconsistencies that are planned to rewritten in the future. With so many characters, it’s super overwhelming to get every pre-11 Kombatnt in one slide.
Another reason is I’ve moved on to other interests. I’ve cared so less about Mortal Kombat since 11 is nearing its zenith. I’ve watched MK1 videos but nothing is pulling me back. Not helping much is the game itself is a waste of money.
Third reason is I have little time to work on PowerPoint stories. Mass burnout. No longer interested in working on it. My ban from the Crystal Story server just lessens to motivation of me making more PowerPoint stories. Not helped by said college and I’m working on a game.
The next update would have been a double-episode drop with Episode 32B featuring the challenge fillin up loose ends of this lousy plot. The challenge is race up to the cliff to steal an egg from the Mechacrow Shang Tsung owns and then race back down to avoid getting vaporized by it. Chameleon was eliminated due to a rule they added.
Episode 35, a challenge where they cooperate to create the best monster and compete with others to destroy others. Kung Lao or someone irrelevant would have been eliminated.
I’m sorry to announce these news and I would love to finish the whole thing because I have real ideas for future episodes. But life and burnouts caught up to me and I have no more time.
I’m sorry.
I hope you can check out my stuff in the future despite broken promises…

To clarify: Due to the roster of Mortal Kombat 1 most likely being made up of classic MK characters just like MK9, I won’t be including anything from that game.
Can you believe most of the classic MK character have been early eliminatees? I just couldn’t squeeze of a good plotline for them.
Also, I don’t want to waste time rendering things anymore.

Note
1. Favorite and least favorite parts of MK1?
2. Are there any characters you’d like to see in future Mortal Kombat games/DLC? Either regular Kombatants or guest stars.
Favorite: The alternate take on Mileena. I LOVE her as is and if they decided to just stick to her being a villain in this universe I’d still be happy, but this new take on her abilities and giving her a fully fleshed out character arc that also makes her the most important she has EVER been to the story of a single MK game? It felt like they were writing that story for me specifically.
Honorable Mention: I love how this single game was able to revitalize interest in several characters from the PS2 trilogy of MK, and the story even incorporates story elements of all three games. Shang and Quan Chi team up, like in Deadly Alliance. An evil being betrays a main character and becomes the big bad, like in Deception, and it ends in an all out epic battle between ALL the characters in MK’s existence, like Armageddon. MK1 was like a love letter to the people that enjoyed the PS2 trilogy.
Least Favorite: Reiko is the most boring motherfucker in a main roster that has Kung Lao in it (no shade to his current incarnation, which I like). He my least liked character in a game where my least favorite character in the entire franchise (Quan Chi) exists. How do you accomplish that? He’s the only entity where nothing interesting is done with his new version versus his original version. He was poor man’s Shao before, and he’s still a poor man’s Shao after the timeline reset, and the thing is, that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Johnny Cage is just as much of a cocky prick in MK1 as he was in the beginning of the Netherrealm Trilogy, but the CONTEXT around that cockiness and how that affects his character arc compared to that trilogy is unique. Reiko’s devotion to Shao Khan in MK1 is recontextualized as a more Batman and Robin kind of dynamic (fitting considering WB published this game). Shao took Reiko in as a child and trained him, but… that’s all we ever get, and it was through Shao introducing Reiko like a WWE wrestler. It wasn’t given to us organically, just told to us, and NOTHING is done with it, not even in his own arcade ending.
Every arcade ending in MK1 is a canonical “what happened to them after the events of the main campaign” scenario. Some of them are even intertwined. Mileena and Baraka work together to improve living conditions for those suffering from Tarkat and find a cure for the disease. Ashrah joins up with the Shaolin Monks, led by Raiden and Kung Lao and reunites with her sister.
Reiko… is just sent off to find Onaga. At least when Kung Lao’s arcade ending was used to tease the return of a fan favorite character, it came with some kind of meaningful story for Lao.
A bit long-winded, but I felt that in order to illustrate how boring I found Reiko to be, I had to establish how much more interesting everything OTHER than him is.
Future Characters I’d Like to See: Cyrax, Sheeva, Kintaro, Darrius on the main roster, maybe Frost.
Also, Noob. not for the character himself, but just to see what this universe’s interpretation of him would be. Maybe Frost takes the mantle of Sub-Zero once Bi Han becomes Noob. Maybe FROST becomes Noob. Maybe it’s someone else entirely? Like Sektor? This universe’s Hanzo? With how much this universe has changed the established relationships of the characters and their factions, anything is possible, and I’m here for it.
I’m sorry for anyone that doesn’t follow Mortal Kombat and is reading this. It’s gonna look like I just said a bunch of names.

All Confirmed Mk Timelines. Part 3
Tumblr media
Since NRS has confirmed the multiverse I decided to make a long list of existing timelines using all non canonical endings. Plus extra timelines I’ve thrown in for fun.
Two important notes: Offshoots exist and timelines are given codes similar to DC’s worlds.
Chapter 3: Hanzo Hasashi / Scorpion
#HS1 (Hanzo Scorpion) (Mk Ending) Scorpion becomes champion of Mortal Kombat. Offshoots from this timeline have been known to exist.
#HS2 (Mk3 Ending) After learning that Kuai Liang is one of the chosen warriors Scorpion betrays and kills Shao Kahn. Returning back to the netherrealm after he saved earthrealm. Offshoots from this timeline have been known to exist.
#HS3 (Deception Ending) The Elder Gods turns Scorpion into their champion and intasked him with defeating Onaga with the promise of bringing his family back from the dead. Offshoots from this timeline have been known to exist.
#ASC1 (Armageddon resurrected clan) (Armageddon Ending) After defeating Blaze the Shirari Ryu clan is brought back from the dead, including his wife and son, Harumi and Satoshi. But Quan Chi kidnaps his son and Scorpion sends the entire clan after him.
#HK1 (Hanzo Kahn) (MK vs DC Ending) Shao Kahn possesses Hazno’s body. Scorpion tries to fight back but in the end he fails.
#VN2 (Mk1 S2 Invasion) Hanzo is resurrected by Nitara and is turned into a blood wielding assassin who is a slave to Vaeternus.
#HS4 (Mk9 Ending) The Shirai Ryu deceased warriors reveal the truth to Scorpion and with his help they capture Quan Chi, kill him and castrate him.
#HS5 (Mkx Ending) Dark Raiden makes Hanzo immortal and trusts him and his clan to protect the Jinsei. He also turns Scorpion into his dark enforcer. Pretty much enslaving him once again. Offshoots from this timeline have been known to exist.
#HAS1 (Harumi Scorpion) (Mk1 S1 Invasion) Hanzo Hasashi dies tragically and Harumi gets turned into Scorpion. Offshoots from this timeline have been known to exist.
#THS1 (Titan Hanzo Scorpion) (Mk11 Ending + Mk1 S1 Invasion) After becoming keeper of time, Scorpion searches the multiverse for a living Harumi. He fails and takes one of two paths. Which leads to either THS2 or THS3. Offshoots from this timeline have been known to exist.
#THS2 (Mk11 Ending + Mk1 S1 Invasion) After becoming keeper of time, Scorpion searches the multiverse for a living Harumi. He realizes that Star Realm is to blame and attacks Kronika’s chosen people.
#THS3 (Mk11 Ending + Mk1 S1 Invasion) After becoming keeper of time, Scorpion searches the multiverse for a living Harumi. He stumbles upon Liu Kang’s timeline and invades it. In turn Fire God Liu Kang sends this Hanzo to HAS1.
#THS4 (Mk11 Ending) Hanzo Hasashi (Not Scorpion) becomes keeper of time. Currently unknown. Offshoots from this timeline have been known to exist.

I took my Wii for granted. I used to complain about how there was never any good games on here but I was wrong; I had the old school mario all stars game, the avatar game, smash bros, just dance 3 and 4, and mortal kombat armageddon. It broke down and me and my sister went and got the switch and a ps4. Has more but not the same games we grew up on and Nintendo barley integrates any of their old games into the switch and it sucks and Armageddon isn't on ps4 or switch but for ps2. I miss my Wii man!😭

Capcom Retro Fighters are Making a Comeback!
Well, the weather's getting cooler on my side of the town, I dunno about you all being that summer is close to being over. Which means school days are close for the kiddies.
But what's heating up on this here FGnC blog is that Capcom has yet announced another fighter collection for the Next-Gen masses, much as is expected with the Marvel vs Capcom hullabaloo that's gotten the entire Fighting Game community in a tizzy months ago....
Tumblr media
Yes, it involves the cast of characters in the SNK universe, among others. The title? Capcom Fighting Collection 2!
Not only the collection houses both the Capcom vs SNK duology, BUT games I've never played before--Star Gladiator and Power Stone 1-2; Also within the collection is Capcom Fighting Evolution, one of the fighters that somehow lived during the FG Exodus in the 2000s (looking at you, Mortal Kombat Armageddon and SoulCalibur 3!). Plus there is another gem in the form of Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper--like how many of these enjoyable little fuckers have I been playing for the last, what, 25+ years of my childhood...from the vanilla arcade version up to the PSP/Vita port with all the characters?!! 😖
Sadly, they left out Rival Schools, but hey, I'm happy with Project Justice 💜
Tumblr media
At least the collection is worth downloading on to mines--and everyone else's--consoles! That and Marvel vs Capcom Fighter Collection (thank God they did not add horrid, rushed, under hyped MVCI)
EXPECTED DATE... Probably around 2025, but the actual month and day are unknown. Time to save it somehow, some way.
Anyways, I hope to stream soon within the weeks 😘 Stay safe, dahhlins!
💜 Snowy. 💜

Mortal Kombat: Armageddon
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Castlevania: Lament of Innocence
Dragon Age series
I have every Final Fantasy up to XIII, but my favorites are V, VIII, IX, and X-2 in that order.
I also have every Silent Hill up to Downpour. My favorites are 1, 2, and 4.
Lore: I played Silent Hill when I was 6 or 7 years old and liked it even though I was bad at it. I played Tomb Raider when I was the same age and was too scared of the bear to ever get past the first 10 minutes.

Why I Strongly Dislike MK1's First Kombat Pack
Mortal Kombat 1, which should not be confused for Mortal Kombat (2011) or Mortal Kombat (1992), is set to release in September yet they announced all the characters for the first kombat pack. In the previous games, the kombat packs were developed after the game launched and prolonged the excitement for the games even if micro-transactions ran rampant in them. Fans forgave and forgot as their wallets were eaten away.
Now the kombat pack is being developed alongside the base game. To me, that arrogantly announces that NetherRealm/WB knows fans will drop $80 for an unfinished game and they can continue leeching away with even more micro-transactions. Of course they're right. I have no doubt mortal kombat fans will take one look at this blog and berate it as hater talk and proceed to call me an idiot for daring to call out the hubris.
Yes, it does take time to get copyrighted characters in a game. There is a lot of legal nonsense and video game bureaucracy hopping around kangaroo courts. I am not even going to attempt to understand all that. But I want to know why we have to accept guest characters before the base game is even done. Plus the real reason Omniman, Homelander, and Peacekeeper are in is because they're currently popular due to their series everyone is going to forget by next year in favor of the new show to occupy their time.
There's also the fact Takeda, Ermac, and Quan Chi are not going to be part of the base game but will be ready as soon as the game launches. Like Shang Tsung, there's a high possibility these characters will be in story mode much like how Shao Kahn was a big part of story mode in MK11. We don't know what the story is going to be but I have little confidence they're going to exclude two big bad guys of the franchise. Especially when Quan Chi plays a heavy role in Scorpion's and Bi Han's stories.
So this first kombat pack is most likely going to use the none guest characters in the story mode. Make them essential to story mode. Then say "oh you like these guys? Too bad you have to give us more money to play these already finished fighters!" and MK fans will. They will drop $15 to $30 to play these characters. It's a problem NetherRealm/WB love to exploit.
Now... I wanted to drop in one wish I had for kombat pack that I know won't happen but would've been happy if it did.
Can we just forget guest characters? Or at least use characters that NetherRealm/WB actually own? As in the ones they obtained from purchasing Midway (now NetherRealm). What's the point in having an I.P. if you're never going to use it?
I looked through Midway's game catalog and while the vast majority is made of license games, there's still a handful of original concepts they've never dove into. Such as War Gods and Bio F.R.E.A.K.S which (based on what I've read on what little I've found on the internet) were Mortal Kombat without being Mortal Kombat. Surly there's like a few characters that could be pulled out of those franchises and dropped into the MK universe. They can be explained as being from a different realm. Easy. There's already several gods in MK, are we really going to say not a single MK god was one that revolved around War?
WB had made a Rampage movie along with an arcade exclusive game based on the movie. So There's reason WB sees a potential market for giant monsters destroying cities. One possibility for putting a Rampage monster in MK would simply shrink one down and have them fight like the monster they are. Other monster characters in MK were Moloch, Goro, Kintaro, Motaro, Blaze in his Armageddon form, and Ferra/Torr. There's also the fact that Injustice 2 had a gorilla on the roster and isn't Rampage's star monster basically a giant gorilla? Work is already half way done.
The Suffering was a survival horror reminiscent of Silent Hill. WB had decided the game was good enough to officially give the ok for Good Old Games dot com to sell it for PC downloads. Not as prominent as Rampage but at least WB noticed it.
Anyhow, the game stars Torque, a regular guy arrested for possibly maybe probably could have potentially murdered his family. The numerous iffy words are to point out that the mystery behind it was a big part of the game. No spoilers here.
Given that we've had horror movie characters get part in the kombat packs, and how several of Mortal Kombat's characters are essentially horror movie monsters themselves, we can accept a first party Rambo that turns into a beast to be in the game, right?
The only other game WB noticed enough to put on an online store was Gauntlet. Yes, Gauntlet was given to Midway when they acquired Atari. Midway has a long history. There's a total of nine player characters and two maybe three npcs that can be taken from Gauntlet and put into Mortal Kombat. Most iconic ones being the Warrior, the Wizard, the Elf, or the Valkyrie. There's still a small fanbase for Gauntlet begging for scraps and it'd be about time to give them a bone.
Unfortunately, the remaining games do not have a fanbase nor have they been noticed by WB as big money makers.
Psi Ops was a third person shooter with psychic powers. It was an amazing game on the Play Station 2. Yes, I'm old, I'll cry about it later. Can you imagine this psychic soldier using telekinesis like Kenshi with his guns and throw waves of fire then finish the opponent off by making their head explode? Yeah, Psi Ops gave Nick Scryer (the protagonist of Psi Ops) a Scorpion costume. It's one of the games I've kept a hold of after so many years!
Sadly, due to a severe lack of fanbase or any recognition, there's absolutely zero chance NetherRealm/WB would ever put Nick Scryer or any Mindgate Conspiracy character in a single kombat pack. I guess it's too obscure to be seen.
Then there's Area 51 which I don't know the actual status of. The sources I scoured across the world wide web didn't show much of it. I mainly remember the demo that was included in Mortal Kombat Deception. Given that it was the 3D era, NetherRealm is definitely going to sweep it under the rug.
Stranglehold was considered the game that killed Midway. While I never played or heard of the game prior to researching what WB gained from them. I do think Stranglehold has the potential to become a decent franchise if they ever decided to work on it... or they'll considered it cursed and forget about it. From what I've heard, it's like Max Payne mixed with Grand Theft Auto. If that's true then a character from that type of game would fit right in with other action stars like Johnny Cage, Terminator, and Robocop.
Last is Dr. Muto, a platformer that was.... not good. There could be an attempt to make the doctor use inventions in fights. Maybe update him to fit in better. If they considered it, possibly reuse the name for a more mature rated game. NetherRealm/Midway never did well below the M rating.
Aside from all that, I would like to know why we don't use more Mortal Kombat characters for Kombat Packs? I remember MKX having a roster of Alien, Predator, Jason, and Leatherface (of all characters, seriously? Why?). And MK11 had an abundance of action stars; Rambo, Robocop, Joker, Spawn, and Terminator.
Fun Fact: Midway developed and published Terminator 2 for the arcade. Meaning Terminator technically counts as a first party guest!
That was a joke.
Mortal Kombat and NetherRealm has had a long history with video games. They have an extensive library of one shot attempts and already established fighters from previous games. I want that to be acknowledged. It'd be a lot cheaper than throwing money at licenses to get an ok from another company. Plus we'd have some cool characters getting the spotlight they deserved. Just saying.

Archie’s Collection
This is just something fun I’ve thought about for my Bioshock Rebirth AU. I’ll admit I’m not a big fan of when a series showcases another series as fictional. Yet for Bioshock not to sound hypocritical. But it feels normal considering I guess how...possibly real Bioshock feels. It depends but it feels normal with Bioshock.
But basically I wanted to make this to showcase....Archie before ending up in a place like Rapture. He was a literal functioning normal young man who was living in an apartment. Yet he has this collection of media that despite how...masculine he seems.
He’s basically a masculine nerd/geek. Will admit I did incorporate some of my likes and interests in this. But basically just imagine a young man in the late 90′s to early 2000′s with all this rad stuff. It gives you a taste of the stuff he likes.
I actually looked up VHS tapes to confirm some of these. Despite I could be wrong but nearly everything would of gotten on VHS during the late 20th century.
I’m finished with the list finally. I’ll also reveal Arch listens to bands like Guns N Roses Linkin Park. Yet only Hybrid Theory was out first. But he would love Reanimation. Just the idea of all of this stuff. He is a gamer and did wonder if he would get an Xbox. But he would love Halo Combat Evolved. Screw it I’m putting Superman 2. Despite I have never seen those first two Superman films I think.
I’m about to post this and I have said this. He is a full on geek. What have I made, this is so silly. Edit since I’m on Amazon and saw The Nightmare Before Christmas. Gonna put that on the list too. Now I’m remembering Wallace & Gromit. I was looking up Friday The 13th VHS tapes and Nightmare Before Christmas popped up along the way.
Edit as of 12/13/20, realized I had the Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry, Peanut, and Rocky on the PS1 games part. I just took out the mention of the edit before along Spider-Man Strikes Back. But also I put Star Wars now. Arch has a fine collection. XD
Edit as of 4/27/21...this man has a PlayStation 2 now, First Blood, the MK trilogy, and MK Gold...

Scorpion" is the alias of Hanzo Hasashi, formerly one of the finest warriors of the Japanese Shirai Ryu ninja clan,[2] until he was slain by Bi-Han, a member of the Lin Kuei (a rival clan of Chinese assassins) who worked under the name "Sub-Zero". Scorpion became a "hellspawn" revenant residing in Hell, later called the Netherrealm, who sought vengeance against those responsible for the destruction of his clan and the murder of his family, including his wife Harumi and his son Satoshi. Although essentially neutral in allegiance, Scorpion joins forces with anyone who can assist in his plans of revenge. He was once manipulated by the sorcerer Quan Chi, whom he promised his life to in exchange for his impressive kombat abilities in order to defeat Sub-Zero.[1]
In his initial backstory, displayed in the first game's (1992) attract mode, he is described as only having enmity towards Sub-Zero, which was attributed to rivalries between their opposing ninja clans. His ending revealed that he was actually an undead specter who had been killed by Sub-Zero and was survived by a wife and child.[3] This was further explored in a tie-in comic book written and illustrated by MK co-creator John Tobias and published by Midway. In a one-page scene, set aboard a junk en route to Mortal Kombat tournament host Shang Tsung's private island, Scorpion shocks Sub-Zero with his unexpected return exactly two years after his death, declaring that his "demons" had allowed him to return and avenge his demise.[4] After Shokan Prince Goro's defeat at the hands of eventual champion Liu Kang, Shang Tsung's army launched an attack, forcing Scorpion to team up with Sub-Zero, the thunder god Raiden, and other tournament survivors to hold them back before he killed his rival and disappeared.[4]
In Mortal Kombat II (1993), Scorpion discovers Sub-Zero has somehow returned, and planned to compete in the second Mortal Kombat tournament held in the otherworldly dimension of Outworld and hosted by the realm's emperor Shao Kahn. He tracks his nemesis down but notices, in the process, Sub-Zero sparing the life of an opponent in battle. Scorpion realizes that this is not Bi-Han, but instead his younger brother, Kuai Liang, who had taken on his brother's codename in his memory and was tasked with completing his failed mission of assassinating Shang Tsung. As a result, Scorpion vowed to serve as the new Sub-Zero's guardian in atonement for killing his older brother.[5]
In the 2005 beat 'em up spin-off Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, set during the events of Mortal Kombat II, Scorpion is a boss character who attempts to kill the game's playable protagonists Liu Kang and Kung Lao. He appears in both masked and unmasked forms, with the latter being named "Inferno Scorpion". The planned co-op game, Mortal Kombat: Fire & Ice, which would have starred Scorpion and Sub-Zero as the protagonists, was canceled when Paradox Development, the developers of Shaolin Monks, "couldn't do it in time and under budget."[6]
Scorpion, along with all of the game's palette-swapped human ninja characters, was not playable in Mortal Kombat 3, but returned in the 1995 upgrade Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 when Shao Kahn tried to conquer the Netherrealm after his invasion of Earth, and enlisted the ninja in his forces. Scorpion's allegiance to the Kahn quickly dissolved when he discovers, in a continuance of his MKII storyline, that Sub-Zero was one of Earth's chosen warriors, with whom he sided in their final showdown with Shao Kahn.[1]
Quan Chi was officially introduced into Scorpion's rivalry with Sub-Zero in the main MK storyline, starting with Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero (1997). Scorpion is featured therein as an unplayable boss character, appearing twice throughout the game. Despite playing a minor role, his background was officially expanded in a feature on the game's official website, where his real name and that of his clan were revealed, while his yellow outfit was described as an apparent mockery of the Lin Kuei after former Lin Kuei member Takeda developed ninjutsu before leaving the clan and forming the rival Shirai Ryu.[2] Scorpion is enlisted by Quan Chi to find a map hidden in a Shaolin temple, a task the sorcerer also gave to Sub-Zero in order to engage the two rival ninjas in combat. If the player performs a killer move on Scorpion, he will reappear as another boss later in the game. In Mortal Kombat 4 (1997), Quan Chi tricked Scorpion into believing that Sub-Zero was involved in the deaths of his family and clan, resulting in the specter allying with him. In Scorpion's ending, he emerges victorious over Sub-Zero, but Quan Chi reveals his involvement in killing Scorpion's clan and family. When the sorcerer attempts to banish Scorpion, the latter grabs the former at the last minute, sending them both to the Netherrealm.[7] A variation of this ending was seen in Sub-Zero's conclusion, when Sub-Zero stands over a fallen Scorpion before being knocked down by Quan Chi, who again reveals his scheme and claims that both ninjas were pawns for the fallen Elder God Shinnok, which results in Scorpion killing Quan Chi and declaring Sub-Zero free of his curse.[8]
Scorpion's MK4 ending is carried over into Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance (2002), where he relentlessly hunts down Quan Chi, only to be attacked by the Oni Drahmin and Moloch, whom the sorcerer had hired as protection and to help free him from the Netherrealm. In his non-canonical ending, Scorpion is killed when Drahmin and Moloch hurl him into a Soulnado, a magical tornado consisting of tormented souls trapped between Earthrealm and Outworld. In Scorpion's biography in Mortal Kombat: Deception however, he is depicted as having escaped as well. He meets the Elder Gods, which, coupled with his witnessing Raiden's death and the emergence of Onaga, the Dragon King, causes him to accept a new role as the Elder Gods' servant while working to prevent Onaga's merging of the realms.
In the Konquest mode of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon (2006), Scorpion cuts a deal with the Elder Gods to serve them in exchange for the resurrection of the Shirai Ryu and his wife and son.[1] However, they resurrect them as undead beings. Enraged, Scorpion seeks to destroy the Elder Gods' chance of preventing Armageddon by taking the elemental Blaze's power, but the Edenian demigod Taven defeats him and he is later killed by Sub-Zero in a battle royal amongst the series characters in the game's opening sequence.[9]
In the 2011 Mortal Kombat reboot, an alternative-timeline retelling of the first three titles, Scorpion reprises his role from the first game in seeking vengeance against the elder Sub-Zero, Bi-Han. This time though, he serves Quan Chi from the start, unaware that the sorcerer is the mastermind behind the murder of his family and clan. Raiden, attempting to alter the timeline in hopes of averting Armageddon, talks Scorpion into sparing Sub-Zero's life in exchange for reviving the Shirai Ryu. Scorpion agrees, and when he defeats Sub-Zero in the Netherrealm, he refuses to kill him. However, Quan Chi convinces Scorpion otherwise by showing him a graphic vision of Sub-Zero murdering his wife and child. Despite Sub-Zero protests, Scorpion promptly incinerates him. He reappears on the tournament grounds holding Sub-Zero's skull and spinal column.[10] Later in the game, the younger Sub-Zero Kuai Liang seeks revenge for his brother's death by demanding a fight with Scorpion in Shao Kahn's arena, which Quan Chi grants. Scorpion immediately recognizes the new Sub-Zero as the original's younger brother, and while he is defeated, Kuai Liang is apprehended by his clan before he finish the revenant off.[11] Scorpion is last seen when he fights and loses to Raiden in the Netherrealm before disappearing.[12] In his non-canonical arcade ending, the Shirai Ryu appear before Scorpion as ghostly apparitions who reveal the truth about their murder and aid him in killing Quan Chi for his deception. In Sub-Zero's ending, he learns the truth about his and Scorpion's families and offers the specter a chance to join him in his quest for vengeance. Scorpion accepts, joining Sub-Zero to form their own Deadly Alliance.[13]
In Mortal Kombat X, which takes place two years after the previous game, Scorpion was sent to attack the Special Forces alongside a revenant version of Kuai Liang. Due to the efforts of Raiden and his allies however, they were restored to their human forms and freed from Quan Chi's control. Over the course of the following two decades, the newly restored Hanzo Hasashi reformed the Shirai Ryu, trained Kenshi's son Takeda Takahashi, and made amends with the young Sub-Zero after he revealed Quan Chi was responsible for the murder of his family and clan. When the Special Forces captured Quan Chi, a revenge-minded Hasashi subdued them and released the sorcerer so he could challenge him to a final fight before he killed him. Concurrently, Quan Chi's associate D'Vorah appeared so she could have the sorcerer free Shinnok from his amulet. Hasashi decapitated Quan Chi, but not before he could finish reciting a spell to successfully free the fallen Elder God, who immediately incapacitated everyone in the surrounding area.
In Mortal Kombat 11, Hasashi continues to lead the Shirai Ryu in protecting Earthrealm as its Grandmaster a further two years after MKX and Shinnok's defeat. When the keeper of time Kronika caused a time anomaly in an attempt to erase Raiden from history, she brought a past version of Scorpion to the present so she could recruit him to her fold with the promise of resurrecting his clan and family.[14] Meanwhile, Hasashi worked with Sub-Zero to foil Lin Kuei clansman turned cyber ninja Sektor and his plans to build a Cyber Lin Kuei army. They were successful, despite facing opposition from Bi-Han, who had been resurrected as the revenant Noob Saibot, and learning that Sektor played a role in murdering Hasashi's clan and family.[15] After Kronika's forces compromise or destroy most of their bases, Hasashi agrees to house his Earthrealm allies at the Shirai Ryu's Fire Gardens.[16] To help locate Kronika's Keep, Hasashi suggests forging an alliance with Kharon, a ferryman who transports unfortunate souls to the Netherrealm who he and Sub-Zero met while they were revenants.[17] He succeeds in recruiting Kharon and convincing his younger self to turn away from Kronika, but he is killed by D'Vorah. With his dying breath, he urges his younger self to abandon his pursuit of vengeance and defend Earthrealm. Scorpion keeps his word and joins the allied forces of Earthrealm and Outworld to stop Kronika.[18][19][20] In his non-canonical arcade ending, the younger Scorpion fails to keep his promise to his future self, and kills Kronika so he can restart history to ensure his loved ones' survival. When he discovers that otherworldly forces conspire to make sure the tragedy always repeats itself, he undergoes a quest for revenge against them.

Ko-fi link
Cuz like real lazy on working on series. Mortal Kombat 1 did nothing to reignite my interest.

If you want to support me.
Because I am not sure if I will stay here any longer... Because my only friend that was here isn’t active here anymore
And I’m getting no luck at all. I gave it another go and all I get is more bots hounding me and a single reblog and a few likes.
I could move to greener pastures like ink blot, but what’s the point at this point. Might as well no longer be active in social media

REDESIGNING HAVIK, THE CLERIC OF CHAOS (Mortal Kombat)
So I heard some rumors about the character Havik joining Mortal Kombat 11 in the form of DLC. And while it’s not very likely to happen, from my perspective (although, you never know with NetherRealm) I kept fantasizing on this possibility, and now I can’t stop thinking about how Havik would look under the new aesthetics of Mortal Kombat. So I wrote an entire analysis on this personal re-imagining of the character, honoring his lore as an Agent of Chaos and honoring his shocking combat style that involves breaking and twisting his body in grisly and horrific ways.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So Havik...
He debuted in MK Deception and supposedly died in Armageddon, yet he was a main antagonist in the comics, however, he was brutally killed in those, making his death canon IN THAT TIMELINE. But we know from the trailers of 11 that there will be time traveling shenanigans (for better or worse) which are now bringing back old comers to the bloody feud. So characters like Baraka, Shao Khan and even Good Guy Raiden are making a return in this game. So why not Havik? How would he look?
His story is pretty cool. In a nutshell, he was a warrior from a realm that succumb to Chaos, and that realm became Chaos Realm. All warriors from Chaos Realm gain power from chaos, and become agents of Chaos themselves, causing it in other realms. This chaotic nature is reflected in Havik's fighting style. By breaking his limbs and contorting in grotesque ways when attacking, like crawling in the floor, spinning his entire torso, breaking his neck, etc.
Now comes my pitch for how I would make him look...
My understanding of MK lore paints all from Chaos Realm as grotesque zombie people. While that is cool on it's own, it isn't that visually interesting. And Havik's basic appeal is his lack of facial skin. I started playing around with how to represent new agents of Chaos Realm, and thought... Let's make him absolutely deformed and abominable. Imagine something like this...
Tumblr media
Source: https://www.deviantart.com/francesco-biagini/art/Marquis-Gamygin-Wayne-Barlowe-tribute-464548668
Go full Barlowesque on the deformity and body horror, truly representative of Chaos as a whole. An abomination. Chaos incarnated. Like, this is what would happen to Havik after decades or centuries serving and spreading Chaos.
A skeletical face but one where the mouth stretches all the way to one side, with more than one row of teeth and jaws, having lots of crater like wounds in his face, various sockets without eyes, eyes with no pupils but just white, with a misty effect.
An armor that used to be metal but it's now fused to his skin. And of course, when fighting being capable of moving his body in shocking and impossible ways.
Basically, my perspective on how those who dwell in Chaos Real is very inspired by Wayne Barlowe's Inferno.
Tumblr media
One of his hands has more fingers than the other. One of his feet has two big hoof fingers (like Hellboy), spikes and little twisted horns on some sides, folded skin as his scarf, etc. His helmet is fused to his skull, bearing the symbol of his realm.
And one of his fighting carriers would have his iconic Morning Star weapon, but instead of just being a plain morning star, it's a spiky mace with the spikes varying on length. Chaotic looking, representing chaos spreading without any order.
Like the Bloodletter from Bloodborne in it's full glory. Imagine torso-spinning something like this like some crazed abomination (obviously shorter, one handed).
Tumblr media
So there it is. It might be too complex or overly detailed and grotesque for everyone’s liking, but I feel it would fit right at home in the world of Mortal Kombat, and it will give him an unique, freakish look to make him stand out from the rest of the cast. As a Cleric of Chaos, I feel this would fit more his role.

On the 11th of October, thirteen years ago, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon was released in North America for the PlayStation 2.
It is the last game set in the series' original timeline and every character playable in all previous games up to that point returns for this game.
The game's story is, once again, told through Konquest mode, this time starring Taven who is on a journey to defeat his brother Daegon, the only two completely new characters appearing for the first time.
The game was generally well received, praise going to the huge cast and Konquest mode in particular, but criticism was aimed at the game's engine, which had been in use since Deadly Alliance, which came out four years before Armageddon and was therefore starting to look dated, as well as several characters having too similar fighting styles and fatalities feeling generic and uninspired.
