So last night I was haunted by the ghost of hook- up's past at 2 AM. A person whom I only knew for a brief time 5 YEARS ago before ghosting me had the audacity to call me at 2 am, then text me. The shock of getting a phone call at 2 AM much less from an old hook-up shattered any chance of much needed sleep. My phone was on silent but I was reading a book on it when the call came in so couldn't miss it. I later responded to the text wishing the person well and telling them I wasn't interested in any further contact.

To give context to this situation, 5 years ago I was not only in autistic burnout (still am) but I had hyperparathyroidism that caused severe mania for three months. I'm already hypersexual and the mania made it unmanageable. I was like a cat in heat. I did a lot of things and put myself in many dangerous situations that I was oblivious to due to my naivete and overpowering sex drive. I had not had any sexual contact outside of my 17 year-long relationship that had just ended. Despite being a hard core introvert I got on a bunch of dating apps and things snowballed from there. Luckily the mania and hormonal issie subsided and I haven't had an episode like that again.
