I've just watched Infinity Train season 2 and MT and Jesse dynamics reminded me so much of Alistair and Violetta. You have this rebel metal (literally) girl who wants to live her life and escape from kind-of prison and friendly, happy-go-lucky jock boy who wants so much to be nice for everyone he gives up to peer pressure (Eamon much?). Series is very short, 10 x 11 minutes and maybe it will give you inspirations?
