Eddie goes live a little before Steve gets home from the last day of school and just ambushes him the moment he walks through the door.

There’s a tussle and Eddie manages to not only get Steve on the ground, but straddles him and pins him. Steve laughs, puts his hands on Eddie’s thighs, and asks in a tone that’s way too flirty for a live-stream, “What’s this about?”

Eddie responds by holding up shaving cream and a razor, “The ‘stache has to go.”

Steve laughs again, but stays perfectly still and allows Eddie to shave his mustache. It’s an oddity intimate moment to be watching on a live-stream.

Especially because after Eddie wipes away the last of the shaving cream, he leans in and kiss him. They stop kissing until Steve’s phone rings twice. He pulls back just enough to check who’s calling and sees a text that says, “Live-stream.”

Eddie’s just like, “Yeah, totally forgot about that” and ends the stream there.

Worth mentioning I still don’t speak Mandarin very well (Cantonese speaker) and am still learning to read and write Chinese so I actually have no idea how you say “I’m mad” in Mando?? And I also don’t know how to write in Cantonese. This is what machine translation gave me. For the same reason I don’t know how to write coarse language in Chinese so the English is more of a “I want FX to say this” vs “this is what the Chinese is saying”

I think we should talk about Xie lians memory issues more. Since we don't see others povs in the books I can't say for sure but I feel like the text of tgcf heavily suggests that Xie Lian has more then the average amount of memory loss for an immortal, even excluding the Traumatic Amnesia he definitely deals with from... Literally all the things. Combining the overt Traumatic Amnesia with the more covert(?) memories issues he experiences I think it likely that it would effect his day to day life, and relationships.
