Back with the music of the week guys; this week it’s dance anthems and I couldn’t pick 4 so here’s 5!!!! (I couldn’t trim them down to 4, you’ll see why if you give them a listen). Although my raving days are over I still like a lil improv dance to dnb, house, etc, or just a good beat to accompany my day. Anyways: here we go…

I first heard this driving round the city in the passenger seat of my dads minivan, I always think of him when I listen to it and if you get a chance to watch the music video, it’s great, it is definitely worth the watch.

Wasteland baby! is the most under appreciated of the Hozier albums and truly what an album to be released just before the pandemic what a song to release before the pandemic. During an uncertain time an album about not being alone in a wasteland the way most of the songs are about devotion, to the point of fault, to the point of personal harm, to the point of manipulation, about doing everything to be with this person even when it's detrimental to you both or even when it's a person you've made up in your head, in a year when we couldn’t go out and see each other. Hozier releases an album that puts the yearning for love in the loneliness of the pandemic into words a full year before the pandemic even happened and we don’t even really talk about it and that should be a crime.

pete is kidnapped by the Vixens cult, he's The Music Guy of the Chicago hardcore scene and he's got a little too close to figuring out their operation

patrick is an experiment of the Vixens, a kid born from locally famous musicians that they kidnapped and brainwashed into a yellow-eyed, hook handed, violent monster

the Vixens are working to see if the same brainwashing would effect Pete since he is nonhuman, but it doesnt work

the brainwashing in patrick is failing, the Vixens notice this and vocally plan to kill the two of them, which Pete overhears.

Pete shares this plan to Patrick and the two have to work together to break out before they kill them
