I'm not lying when I say verse 3 and 4 have been what keeps me going. The reminder that Allah has not forsaken me has kept me from ending my life many times. Allah's love is the only thing keeping me from falling into darkness.

The responds towards queers who have faith are either:

Conservative religious people saying "you are fake not a real believer! Pick between your sexuality and religion!" And the toxic supposedly 'progressive' or anti religion people (I have no problem with atheist in general tho) who says "you are fake! Not a real lefty/queer! Pick between your sexuality and religion."

You get punched from both left and right T_T

I feel like people care more about them and YOU needing to belong in a group/faction/side of thinking than actually making the world a better place. It doesn't matter to them if you are queer of faith and a good person, that you are not conservative or bigoted and are trying your best, in their eyes you have to pick a side to satisfy their confirmation biases

happy pride month to religious queer people, who feel like they’re contradictions, or told that they’re contradictions, but stay true to these important parts of themselves anyway. happy pride to the queer religious people who have to explain their identities, and who have to defend their faith or their queerness in either circle.
