Hi 👋 my friends My name is Samer Abu Ras, and I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart and shattered hopes after the war in Gaza destroyed my life and my family’s. Our days were once filled with peace and security, but now we are homeless, without shelter or income, facing a bleak future. hey yall, dunno if anyone can, but im a disabled transfem butch whos literally only just got mail yesterday on december 21st saying i owe 1,150 sum dollars to the state for my 'business' for missing a deadline which happened during my grandmothers funeral, a business i havent even begun to produce anything for as i have been unable to create a space or gather commissions.

im going to fight it or at minimum get extension cause i was only notified yesterdaybut if anyone can help please i have less then a month before it accrues more so-said

my landlord is filing for eviction, which means i have limited time to move, and that i am facing homelessness. this situation is due to my local housing authority (and ex) failing me repeatedly. here's my original posts really detailing how we got here. (i made this new post because it got really long.) the situation is so bad someone was fired over it, and i'm looking into suing

if i become homeless, i will lose everything, including my beloved emotional support cats, and have to drop out of college. i am disabled, and can't "just get a job" to assuage the situation quickly. i was hospitalized over the summer, and all of this has taken even more of a toll on my health and well being. (i am losing hair in clumps, for example)

i need funds for things like a security deposit at a new place, to hire movers, to get a storage unit, purchase a tent, pay for a hotel room for really cold nights, and get food as i won't have access to a kitchen. because so many things are up in the air right now, i can't say for sure what's concrete, but that i intend to respond as circumstances change (ex, focusing on a storage unit and tent if i can't find a new apartment in time, or focusing on a deposit if i do find a new apartment, etc.) i will post updates in the replies of this post

Hello! Me and my family have been homeless living in our truck in Canada for nearly two years now. Winter is coming and our truck will not make it through it. However we have an opportunity to get ourselves a basement suite, which would mean we would be able to look into employment and finishing me and my twins education, and that this two year long nightmare would be over. Hey everyone, this is a different post than I'd normally make, but I've been dealing with urgent hardship, poverty, and food/housing instability, and it's escalated to the point where I am desperate for mutual aid support.

It's hard to admit this stuff publicly, but while I've been able to scrape by for 6+ months on my own, my situation keeps worsening. I'm really sorry to ask for help, I've always been a private person who wanted to avoid asking online, but I've finally hit a point where I don't have many options. While I'm still in contact with family, I don't have monetary support from them & am hoping for a miracle to get through this.

It's hard to be so up front with what my situation has been like, but up until about a month ago I was struggling with enough money to afford food for at least one meal a day. I skipped multiple days every week to ensure that I didn't run out of food, and have regularly emptied my fridge/pantry to the limits before I allowed myself to spend meager amounts on enough to sustain me. Things are still shaky in that department for me, but manageable. However spending so much out of pocket on food has led to me struggling to afford basic necessities. Running out of things like trash bags, toothpaste, shampoo, etc. is a nightmare, and leads to expenses that I just can't deal with. I'm facing housing insecurity and am really just at a wall where I dont know what to fucking do. Anything helps and I really really mean it.

for the past few weeks I've been trying to raise some funds to put towards a deposit so me and my long-term partner can get a place together very early in September.

the usual deposit amount is between £600-£700 but few of the cheap places come with any more than just white goods so I've put the goal to £1000

since i haven't been able to get a paying job for just under a year, I've started volunteering so i can have some good experience on my cv but even that much is leaving me too physically pained and exhausted to search for part-time work to do until move in time

hi, as some of you may already know, i am a domestic violence victim who in late february fled my former home after being assaulted by my abuser and becoming homeless. an extremely wonderful DV organization in my area took me in, and i had been living in a shelter until two weeks ago, when i was given an opportunity by this organization to acquire a studio apartment with the first three months of rent paid by them, while i look for a job (i was fired from my previous position because my disability unexpectedly got significantly worse and i asked to have my schedule reduced slightly so i could seek medical care). this has been amazing and i cannot stress enough how grateful i am to them, and to everyone who has helped me get here.

unfortunately, i drained my entire savings account while moving in due to buying household supplies and stuff like bedding, cleaning supplies, etc. this is currently how much is in my bank account as of 4/22/25:

i have food stamps so im not concerned about groceries, but i do need to buy more cleaning supplies, and have some money set aside for upcoming bills and also paying for transportation, i currently dont have access to a car anymore and have been relying on uber and friends who offer rides, and if i get a job that isnt in walking distance from my apartment, i need money to be able to uber to work until i can buy a car again.

i want to have at least 400 set aside so in case of emergency i can still pay rent, and about 150-200 left so i can buy cleaning supplies, pay for my hrt, pay for medicine to manage my disabilities, pay for doctors appointments for my disabilities, pay my bills, pay for transportation, and also caulk and advion to seal my apartment from pests and also kill palmetto bugs.

anything left over, or any extra money im given, will go towards helping me get things like wifi (im living off of data currently) shelving and lamps and such so i can make this space more functional.

it would also go towards fixing my laptop which is currently broken, so i can work from home more easily and not have to keep using library computers. i am very disabled and walking and standing for long periods of time is extremely strenuous and painful and has even led to partial dislocations for me before, and i dont want to risk doing it more than is necessary, the more i can do from my home, the better.

Medicated Cat Food & Vet Visit

We have food now, but anything else will pay for necessities and vet trips.

Unfortunately we need to keep Derecho on a medicated diet for a while longer.

We bought some cans off of chewy, but it's taking a bit longer than expected and we're almost out of what we got last month.

The amount listed will cover food for about two months, the ride to and from the vet as well as the visit he needs to check on his levels next month. Anything else will be for Sprinkle's medicated food or towards vet bills in general.

I’ve just been informed, 5 days before my lease ends, that my lease cannot be renewed. This means I need to get me and my cats out of here by August 1st. I am disabled and haven’t been able to find a job, and I don’t have anywhere local I can go. My only option other than literally being on the streets is to pack my life into either a rental car or moving truck and go back to Virginia with my family.

Moving Expenses

Hey y'all! Me and my family have been able to rent a basement suite after two years of being homeless from a family friend of ours. We've been able to get enough to cover our deposit and first month of rent along with cover our living expenses for the moment.

We still need help to get settled and give us a chance to stabilize, along with to cover things like repairing the two broken windows on our truck to prevent theft, very basic furniture as we lost ours, and getting dental treatment for my tooth which has been painfully infected for well over a year now.
