you know what really gets my goat... all the people on that sub got to experience at least 4.5 decades of life. they got to explore and travel, they went to college, they found love, built families, established careers and got their name out there, they got to make some sort of mark in the world....all of them except for the kid. this dude was only 4 years (maybe 3) younger than me. he was barely a legal adult, still a teenager. prob didn’t even know much life outside of school, prob was only now starting or hadn’t been to college yet, hadn’t had a chance to experience life as an adult yet.... and he wasn’t even really supposed to be on that sub.
he *didn’t* want to go. he was TERRIFIED. he was the only person on that stupid tuna can death trap with any semblance of common sense. dude basically got dragged there by his rich ass dad  (literally the richest family in pakistan for crying out loud) bc yall know how it is with rich ppl (SPECIALLY the billionaires) : business over everything, live to work but don’t work to live, family is secondary, etc etc...dude probably didnt get to spend much time with his dad bc he most likely wasnt around most of the time and was all work work work but knew he (the dad) wanted to go, prob wanted him to go as well and tried persuading him to join. and even though something didn’t feel right to him, it was father’s day weekend and he must have felt like he owed it to his dad to go and took the risk bc he trusted his dad/wanted to make him happy even though his gut feeling said not to and he really didn’t want to do it. ik he ‘was an adult’ technically, but he was literally only 19 and parental approval gets people to do stupid shit they probably wouldnt otherwise do against their better judgement...
they literally confirmed (his aunt) he only went to bond with his dad...and instead his dad basically dragged him to both their deaths....this is so fucked. irresponsible and selfish. everyone else knew damn well at their big ages that was stupid and it was only a matter of time before something seriously tragic happened. and this guy knew better than to drag his kid into this knowing he probably would do it just bc it was his dad and a grown ass adult that could probably be trusted bc he’s ‘wiser and more experienced in life and knows better than a 19 y.o’ ...and now they’re all dead. literally fuck off for this

I feel like we need a word that is the spiritual opposite of fetishize, but still with the dehumanizing connotations.

Did you hear the news ?
Context : you know how asexuals are associated with garlic bread.
Answer :The news is aromantics are now associated with swiss cheese 🧀🧀
...Sad if true, contrary to garlic bread I'm actually really not big on cheese TwT
(Unless it's melted and mixed with other things. Otherwise it's kind of a no-go for me. Weird technicalities but yeah.)

Day 143: I had this weird fuckin dream last night where Teki was in the hunger games and was VERY unprepared for it. Distinctly remember her twintails being thicker than what I usually draw and I don’t even think it was the real Teki, just someone wearing a Teki cosplay. In the Hunger Games.

The thing that gets me about the idea that Molly's death was planned, other than you know, the fact that everyone was clearly fucking shocked in the moment and also my general bone-deep loathing of conspiracy theories of all stripes is that Matt's talked about how much it altered up his plans for the campaign. I actually thought about this pretty extensively both after the Otohan fight and during some of the buildup to the Apogee Solstice in C3, when we were talking a lot more about railroading. While I think it's possible the Mighty Nein never would have gone to the Augen Trust even had Molly survived, particularly since Caleb's backstory was dropped quite early, their response to Molly's death really cut that off as a possibility (both because they were particularly motivated to destroy the Iron Shepherds at all costs, and because they just wanted to flee and be with someone's family). Lucien was always set up as the BBEG, but the initial idea per the wrap-up was that he would be an ongoing antagonist. And, obviously, I think a lot of this works to the campaign's benefit - a big reason why it's so character-driven, in retrospect, is because most of Matt's plans had to be thrown out. I just made a post about D&D narratives, but I think specific DMs gravitate to narrower structures, and Campaign 2 does stand out as unique as compared to C1 and C3 in how a lot of the NPCs are introduced and the roles they play, particularly the antagonists. You would have to be deliberately ignoring everything that has ever been said in publicly available interviews and wrap-ups to say this, and on top of that you have to be some combination of full of bad faith and/or just plain old stupid.

Another one of Spock’s recipes.
Again, I’m impressed with the amount of world building in this little cookbook. Recipe below.

For some reason I thought it would be a good idea to almost double the butter. Do not do this. You’re supposed to bake it, that’s how the cheese melts in Au Gratin. I didn’t know this and ended up winging it after some google searches.
Overall it was ok. If I made it again I would add potatoes and maybe some different kinds of cheese. It was the first time I’d had fennel and it’s not bad.
Next up is Tabsheel.

A Different Perspective on Comments
I know the 'comment/reblog versus like' debate is so common that people just scroll past most of it. Still, I want to share something I realized about my process, because I haven't seen this perspective yet:
Comments remind me that a fic exists.
I am an adult. I have a time-consuming job, a home, and family life that take up the majority of my time. I also have 10+ WIPs at any given moment. I often don't remember that I meant to write more for one story or another.
Here's how the process usually goes: Someone leaves a comment. I am 🥰 for the next two days, and I think about the comment. Often (and especially if the comment pointed out something specific), I start thinking about the plot, the characters, and what I was thinking about doing next in that fic.
As soon as I start doing that kind of plotting, I write it down. Next thing I know, I have half a chapter written and the next four parts outlined.
Likes are fine, but I almost exclusively see them and go, 'Huh.' Not a bad 'huh', but I don't think about them. They don't make me re-explore my fic. I'm glad someone liked my writing, but that's as far as that goes.
"But Ink, where do reblogs fit into this?" I am so glad you asked. The motivation from a comment only lasts so long. It's not fair to expect the same commenters to keep giving feedback. But when you reblog, more people read the fic and can give their own thoughts, which makes the author think about the work and the cycle keeps going.
So, in conclusion, comment if for no other reason than that it reminds your poor, tired fic writer that the fic exists and that people are interested in reading more.
