My bullet journal for March - this month was inspired by the latest season of Dimension 20 (Fantasy High: Junior Year). Its the first D20 season I've watched as it goes up and I'm loving it so much.
The title page is inspired by a graphic used throughout the season when a character is featured/introduced. I decided to used coloured paper to make it look like a school folder with post it notes and stickers/badges.
And ofc i had to feature the night yorb on my opening spread. Followed by a quote thats done up in a scrapbooky sort of style similar to whats used in the opening credits.

October bullet journal setup 🎃👻🍂
The weeklys were heavily inspired by posts I found on Pinterest.

I went ALL OUT and pre-made a whole journal just for book tracking for next year. Who knows how well I’ll end up using it, but making it was fun!

I'm posting a bunch of bullet journal pages now (pics from other journals to come too) which I've wanted to do for months, but felt a little too embarrassed to. I'm not much of an artist, my work isn't that "instagram-worthy" etc. But I'm getting over that. I love my bujo and my attempts at art, decoration, categorization and everything else.
I feel like such a cool girl with my ✨ journals ⚡⚡⚡
These are a selection of bujo pages in roughly chronological order, starting with a random February chart, some random pages (the cat is a Jujutsu Kaisen plushie I wanted and got) and ending on a page from last week, where I was just loving my Notebook Therapy "Dark Academia" Washi tape set.

My 2023 Bullet Journal Set Up
I've had this finished for a couple days but I can't stop wanting to share it so... Here goes:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My future log is split over three pages. I've done the little leaf dividers in all four of my previous bujos, and I really like them bc otherwise I feel like it's very utilitarian. I am trying to decide if I should decorate the months like I usually do (on/around the text I usually do a little doodle--January is snowflakes, May is roses, December is holly, etc) so idk let me know what you think I guess?
Trying a few new things this year: I watched like a million 2023 set up videos on YouTube and saw a couple 23 23s in 2023 spreads, and while I've done level 10 life the last couple years I didn't feel like it's really working for me so I decided to try 23 23s instead. (If you want to know what my 23 things are, I have them figured out now but it took me ages.) I've also included a 2023 cover page, which is a piece of cardstock I taped in. Not pictured are the back of it and the page underneath; taped to the back of the cover page is a letter to myself for 2024, and opposite is my word of the year: assured.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The next two pages are my period tracker (a new inclusion in the start of year set up, as I usually leave it to later in the year, as a collection between January or February weeks. I also set up a wishlist and gift list, which I usually leave to sometime in October-December but figured I'd go ahead and include it up front this year. My last page is a budget spread, which I've never used before but I'd really like to get into budgeting as I like become more of an adult, so my first step is going to be tracking my monthly income and expenses here. I also have a monthly envelope for monthly expense tracking and like receipts and things, but I don't really know how it's going to work for me because I've never used anything before.

And that's my start of year set up! I'm using a leuchtturm 1917 with 120 gsm paper, which is new bc normally I just use a normal 1917. I wanted thicker paper this year but I love the features of the leuchtturm so this was a good compromise for me. I also got some new pens for Christmas, which I used lots in my set up too. And I'm loving using my journal already, so hopefully that keeps up too. Here's to a great 2023!

i havent a had a job for 2 months and ive kind of loved not working but my parents of course think im a failure and my mom called me today to "make sure im on top of everything" and now i feel like a teenager just writing in my diary about how mean my parents are being and how cool it will be when i have my own adult money and dont have to ask them for anything :p
but i do feel really hopeful and i have an interview next week where a friend works and im just in a good mood :)

so for those of you who don't know, I was recently diagnosed with ADHD-I. So far, I think my favourite thing that I've learned is the idea of "embrace the pivot".
Have you ever found a productivity system that works for you (whether it be your Google calendar, bullet journaling, agenda-ing, etc), and you're so pumped because it's like finally! Now I can actually get some stuff done! But then time passes, days or weeks or years, and the novelty of it runs out, and then it kind of just... Stops working. It can be so frustrating, because this thing that used to work no longer works for seemingly no reason.
But, that isn't a failing of the thing, that thing worked for a certain amount of time, and that's good! I used a massive agenda in my first year of uni, and it kept me on track for all my assignments. My second year agenda? Barely touched it. Instead, I started to use a bullet journal, and that was the thing that helped me through most of the year. But as time went on, my spreads got less creative, and in the final term, I didn't even want to touch it because it was too much work. So I switched to Notion.
The agenda didn't fail me, and neither did the bullet journal, it just worked for a certain amount of time. And when that time inevitably runs out, you can just say, "thank you for serving me for so long, I'm going to pivot to the next thing." And then you do it without feeling like you should try harder or like that thing failed you.
This doesn't just have to apply to productivity either. Systems, tools, habits, hobbies, coping mechanisms.. They all serve their purpose. It's okay to let them go when the time comes.

My bullet journal for November. Did something a little different this time.
If youve been following me for a while then you'll know i love Mary Shelley and her contemporaries, especially those who were with her at Villa Diodati in the summer of 1816. But in the last week or so i've been particularly drawn to them. I read The Villa by Rachel Hawkins which is partly inspired by the Villa Diodati gang and havent stopped thinking about them since.
Doing a Romantic Era poets theme has been in the back of my head for a while but this is the first time i've actually thought of a way to do it and i'm pretty happy with how its turned out! Each week will feature a different member of the group but of course Shelley herself had to be first!

I used to bullet journal all the time between 2015-2018 but I’d fallen out of the habit the passed few years. I’m going through a lot of life changes right now so I thought starting a new bujo would be a great way to keep track of my life and express my creativity.

making a new yearly bullet journal spread is serious business (I drew 72 mini calendar grids and my hand cramped)
