Thinking about how I actually kind of like how I look in these photos? I’m hunched over from running a race in blistering heat and thought I’d pick apart my body but I look tired and happy and for once I’m like just chilling in a sports bra on a hot day not feeling like everyone must be staring at me and being embarrassed. I’m just happy and chilling. Wild!

Also this is my husband after the same race looking barely tuckered out lol!

Played "Abel Township Saga Season 10: How the Mighty Have Vision"

ZRS10M25 (incomplete); 6:31 am; 57° at 93% humidity; today’s jog was fast! I got down to 12:31/mi pace which is really quite good for me right now. I was pretty wore out by the end. I tried adding the zombie chases (set to 14%) for the first time since 2014 and it went ok. I evaded 2 hoards but the second one was a close call tbh. I extended the zr mission time so that it’ll take me two runs to complete and I’m glad I did. This way the story lasts longer. I saw a whole bunch of egrets in the field area, one by the pond, and one flying overhead. I also saw some ducks and two dogs. A big one and a little one. The little one I think would have tried to kill me if it got the chance. I also saw a cat in a window. At the beginning of the run, there were mostly clouds, but a little cloud break in the sky was so pretty. A soft blue and pink.

This hill damn near killed me during the race today…pure evil. But luckily this song happened to shuffle on my playlist as soon as I started so I knew I could make it!

ALSO IMPORTANT TO NOTE, people dropping mad mad sums of money on gfms and charities and stuff are extremely impressive but that DOES NOT MEAN that putting like $5 towards someone's fund or any good cause is any less valuable, a lot of crowdfunding is about momentum and those single digits add up super fast, you do not need to be Rolling In The Dough to make someone's day!! moving the dial at all is extremely positive!!

Race report: Cowtown Half! 🐄 🏙️

WOW WHAT A RACE! I had so much fun today running my first half marathon race since 2019. Saw lots of friends before, during, and after the race which just added to the fun!

I set out today with a goal of beating my PR and coming in under 2:20, maybe even closer to 2:15. Found my pacer before the race and had a game plan of staying behind him to start and then catching up/passing him in the second half

Well…I have no idea how he was pacing 2:20 cause during the second half of the race I never even saw him 😂

I ended up finishing with a chip time of 2:20:58 and you know what, I am so freaking proud of myself! Ran nearly to the point of puking, ran nearly the entire 13 miles without stopping to walk except for aid stations and a few other times. I was SO close to that 2:17 PR I could taste it, but I just couldn’t give any more. Or maybe I could have, who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️

Looking back on things though…the race I PR’d on for a half is SIGNIFICANTLY less difficult than cowtown. Swipe to see some elevation maps I nabbed…note the one that is alllll down hill haha.

So I may not have technically PR’d, but I felt really good this race and with the course I was given, I can’t ask for much better!

Fun fact: I finished my half marathon at the same time as the second place marathon runner 😂 now THAT’s fast!

Time to eat and drink ALL the things and take another nap! 😴 🏃🏻‍♀️

hey, so people need to be aware that youtube is now (randomly) holding basic features for ransom (such as being able to pin comments under your own videos) in exchange for Your State ID/Drivers License, or a 30 Second Video Of Your Face.

not to pull a "think of the children," but No Actually. I've been making videos as a hobby since 2015 (and I've had my channel since middle school), I was a minor when I started and I'm not sure I would have understood the kind of damage something a seemingly simple as a video of your face can do.

this is a Massive breach of privacy and over-reach on google's part No Matter What, but if they're going to randomly demand a state ID or license then they absolutely should not allow minors to be creators.

google having a stockpile of identifying information on teenagers is bad enough, but the Alternative of recording your face and handing it over to be filed away is Alarming considering it opens the gates for minors who Aren't old enough to have a license.

and yes, there is a third option, but it's intentionally obtuse. a long wait period (2 months), with no guarantee of access (unlike, say, the convenience of using your phone's cameras for either of the other two), with absolutely No elaboration on what the criteria is or how it's being measured.

it's the same psychological effect that mobile games rely on. offer a slow, unreliable solution with no payment to make the Paid instant gratification look more appealing (the "payment" in this case being You. you are the product being offered).

and it's Particularly a system that (I think intentionally) disadvantages people who don't treat their channels like a job. hobbyists or niche creators who don't create regularly enough or aren't popular enough to meet whatever Vague criteria needs to be met to pass.

markiplier would have no problem passing, your little brother might not be able to. and while Mark's name is already out there there's no reason why your little brother's should be too.

something like pinned comments may seem simple, you don't technically Need it. but it's a feature that's been available for years. most people don't look at descriptions anymore. so when there's relevant information that needs to be delivered then the pinned comment is usually the go to.

for my little channel that information is about the niche series I create for. guides on how to get into the series, sources on where to find the content At All (and reliably so). for other creators it can be used for things Much More Important.

Moreover, if we let them get away with cutting away "small" features and selling it back to you for the price of your privacy, then they Will creep further. they Will take more.
