Taking you out to a - unbeknownst to you - feeder cinema.
'It's amazing!' I tell you. 'They have waiter service right to the seats - and I got us a great deal. We're going to watch a marathon of classic stoner movies and we get dinner and unlimited snacks. Doesn't that sound perfect?'
Without thinking your hand goes to your growing pot belly. You kept saying you need to take it easy on indulging your appetite for greasy food - but your gut rumbles in response.
After a moment's hesitation, you agree that it sounds like fun. I smile, hungrily.
They're stoner comedies, so of course I get you stoned beforehand. Plenty of bong hits before we head out, encouraging you to hit my vape on the -thankfully- short walk to the movie theatre.
When we get there, the staff are so delighted to see you. They explain that you'll be served one course of dinner between each of the four movies and there'll be a midnight feast at the end. In the meantime, help yourself to the snack table.
Snack table hardly does it justice - there's a huge buffet set up with every kind of appetiser you can think of. I encourage you to go through to the theatre and get comfy in your seat while I fix you a plate.
The seats are really two person couches, with soft looking pillows to prop ourselves up on. They're pretty well sized, but with your thicker thighs you realise we'll be pressed close together.
You get settled, and I show up with your pre-dinner snack. If you weren't so stoned you'd say it seemed like a lot. Your plate is stacked with mozzarella sticks, garlic bread and mac and cheese, all of them geneorusly portioned out for you by me.
As it is though your munchies are kicking in hard, so you accept the plate and start eating. Before the film starts one of the attendents comes by and smiles as they place a bucket sized soda cup and extra large popcorn next to our seat, on your side naturally. I already let them know your favourite candies, and they're mixed through the popcorn, the chocolate gently melting in the still warm kernels.
The film starts, and soon you're snorting with laughter like a dumbass at the cheesy jokes and slap stick. Your mouth is dry from the smoking and all the salty food, so you end up chugging your soda hard, but whenever it starts running low one of the attentive staff is there with a replacement.
The same happens with your popcorn, you're only halfway through before your carton is replaced with a fresh batch. It makes it hard to keep track of what you're eating, but between the snack plate and the endlessly refilling bag you're pretty sure you've already had what most people would consider a meal.
It's hard to concentrate on that though, because the first movie is over and it's time for appetisers to be served. You almost don't believe me when I say you haven't even had the first course yet.
Before you put up too much of a fuss though I hand you my vape - no, the staff won't mind I promise - and you relax again, especially when I offer you a pair of gummy edibles to kick in during the movie.
I took the liberty of ordering for you, and you're already faded by the time your heaping pile of nachos arrive, loaded with cheese, guacamole, sour cream, hot salsa, jalapenos and brisket. The spiciness hits your sensitised pallet hard, but there's always more soda to soothe it.
The second movie has started now, and as it plays you polish off your nachos, and most of my order of onion rings once I pass it over.
At some point, your soda cup is replaced with an extra-large cold beer, but you chug that down just as happily, your mind getting floatier with every gulp.
At the end of the second movie the main courses arrive, and you try and tap out. The greasy, double-patty burger is huge, even ignoring the massive side of fries and slaw. The attendents have bought you mug sized tubs of spicy mayo, creamy burger sauce and barbecue to help everything slip down easily, but even so.
You turn to me, your eyes big as the third film starts to roll. I pretend to be sympathetic, but my words are the last thing you want to hear. 'Oh, poor thing! Are you too out of it to eat your dinner even though you're so hungry?'
You try to put together a protest but forming a whole sentence is beyond you at this point, so you flop backwards and let me slowly feed you the burger and sides, holding the dripping handfuls to your mouth until you take a bite and then pushing salty fries in afterwards. When you slow too much I push my vape into your mouth again and the new rush of haziness gives you another burst of energy.
You don't remember anything that happens in the third film, just the growing heat between your legs as your waistband presses harder and harder into your stomach.
The final break - dessert. I get up from our seat, and even if you'd been able to speak you didn't think to ask where I was going, your mind completely preoccupied with the pressure in your belly.
When I come back though, you've realised there's a sundae bar in the lobby that I've visited on your behalf. A huge bowl of softserve, another bucket really, smothered in caramel and chocolate sauce, peanuts, cookie crumb and whipped cream.
Your stoamch audibly groans when you see it, but you're so docile you let me push more than a few spoonfuls between your lips before you start turning your face away, struggling even to move that much.
You're expecting me to grow more forecful, but instead I set the icecream aside and pay attention to your straining gut, undoing your pants (you sigh in relief, they were moments away from bursting) and rubbing slow circles on your belly. My hand dips lower as I make lazy circles and you moan appreciatively, way too far gone to care about embarassing yourself in public.
The film is drawing to a close, the lovable losers have completed their stoner quest, and you're getting close to finishing too. Once you're frantically grinding against my fingers, though, I pull away, and suddenly the icecream bucket is back at your lips.
No spoon now, the softserve has melted into a thick and creamy shake mined with sweetness. I part your lips and tilt the bucket so it pours into your mouth. Youf flabby mind can think of only one defence against choking on it so you swallow, slowly, painfully, your overstretched stomach straining at the additional pressure.
The credits of the movie are rolling and you're almost finished with your shake - and my hand is back between your legs, rougher than before.
I've been training you to come when your stomach is straining, so I up the speed as you take your last mouthful and you finish over my fingers.
I ruffle your hair and wipe a little icecream off your cheek as I coo at what a good job you did for me.
The staff are in no rush for us to leave, which is good because you can't stand right now.
Instead they leave the lights low as I gently rub your eager belly, enjoying the deep rumbles as you start digesting your enormous meal.
When you've recovered a little I'll walk you to the car - and maybe if you're good we can get drive through on the way home.

**SPOILERS FOR THANKSGIVING (2023)**
AFAB!Reader x Sheriff Eric Newlon
Word count: 1.1k
Rating: explicit, 18+, no minors
Warnings: smut, feeding/food play/sitophilia, pregnancy, cream pie, daddy kink, some silly jokes, age gap but reader is legal
Summary: Sheriff Newlon is preparing for the best Thanksgiving yet, you have other plans. Set after the Black Friday Massacre but before the Thanksgiving the following year. Reader uses she/her pronouns.
You were greeted by the smell of sage and onion, cranberries and roasted potatoes before you even walked through the door. Eric liked to be well prepared for Thanksgiving every year, his favourite holiday. This year he wanted it to be the best yet, he had all sorts of new recipes to try, and you weren’t complaining.
As you walked through the door and unwrapped your scarf you heard him summoning you in the kitchen “Babe! Come here, you have got to try this!”
You throw your keys in the ceramic pot with a satisfying clink as you walk into the kitchen. Eric was practically dancing around the kitchen; thanksgiving themed apron and oven mitts on, removing a pot of cranberry sauce off the stove. He removed his mitts and slammed them down on the counter, a very small act but he made it look so hot. His hair disheveled from the heat of the kitchen, he shook his head to remove the stray hair that landed on his forehead.
He grabbed a spoon from the drawer and dipped it into the sauce, he blew on it to cool it down and beckoned for you to try it with a raise of an eyebrow and a look down at the spoon. You take the utensil and lick it clean with a pop. It was unlike any cranberry sauce you have eaten. Usually no one bats an eyelid at the sauce at Thanksgiving dinner, it always tastes the same. But not this one, it was sweet and sour with the perfect amount of umami.
“Holy shit what did you put in it, crack?”, you say, immediately going in for seconds.
“Ah ah no double dipping! And yes I put cocaine in the sauce, pros of my job”. You were pretty sure he was joking, but it was hard to tell the past year, ever since the Black Friday Massacre he was like a totally different person, and you fell for him, hard. You fooled around a lot, but never anything more, but you liked to test the water occasionally, maybe today is one of those days. It was difficult for him to get over Amanda, which was totally valid to you, she was your friend too and you were in this revenge plot together. You knew his plans this year and you both want it to be perfect.
You both were quite the town gossip, people kind of knew something was going on between the two of you, but your age gap of 32 years was extreme for a lot of people. You were perfectly within legal age though, and it was none of their business. You couldn’t help but admit it was kind of a turn on for you though, being a slut, and for the soon to be serial killer.
The kitchen counters are covered with food, with foil on the top to keep warm, you think he’s been cooking all day while you were at work. You sit down on the kitchen island and admire the sight of him dashing around the kitchen, making sure everything is turned off.
He reaches into a dish of roast potatoes with his hands and puts some stuffing and sauce on the top and holds it out to you. You go in for a bite but he pulls back and smirks. You drag him towards you with his apron, your legs spread embracing him and passionately kiss him, his stubble tickling your face.
He still has the potato in his hand and stuffs it into your mouth between kisses. You put on a show and moan while you eat the best roast potato of your life. You grab his wrist and lick his fingers clean, looking him dead in the eye as you do so. He watches you, deciding his next move.
He walks to the counter and uncovers a whole roast turkey from behind him. You walk over too and watch him carve it, he gives you the first piece. After you eat it, you pull on his hair and whisper in his ear, “I want you to stuff me like that turkey, put a baby in me, or two, just call me a turducken… well, more like a turfucken really”. He laughs, but you see his erection, clearly turned on by feeding you and enjoying yourself.
He suddenly snaps and slams you into the kitchen island, empty pans flying across the room. He kisses you wildly, his hands roaming your body frantically. You remove his apron and his trousers as he removes your underwear from under your dress. He grabs your hands around your back, making you turn around so you’re bending over the island.
He slams inside you, impatient, like a man starved. You moan at the sudden intrusion, he is larger than average and always hurts so good as he reaches to your cervix. He pulls on your hair and you arch your back as he thrusts into you manically, the B word clearly a turn on for him. You cling onto the side of the island for dear life.
He stops and turns you around, kissing and nibbling on your neck. He lifts you up and walks you to the dining room table, and puts you down, facing him. He strokes your belly gently and says, “when I’m finished with you, I want you to stay put and lift your hips up. I can’t wait for you to grow so large and make everyone think you’re pregnant with quadruplets, be the talk of the town and make people on the street talk shit about us. And when I catch them I’ll put them in their place, as I’m the fucking town Sheriff ”, you are taken aback at his commands but god it was so hot, and whisper a “yes daddy”.
"Good girl", he starts pushing inside you again, the table shaking with the weight. He leans on the wall behind you to go even deeper inside you. You’re both close, you could have come at his words alone, so it didn’t take much to send you over the edge. He stops and you keep him inside you, wrapping your legs around his waist. He moans and strains as he unloads inside you, you can feel him releasing stream after stream, there’s a lot and it takes a while for him to stop, some of it leaks onto the table. He gives you some to try on his fingers that still taste of cranberry sauce. He stays inside you a little bit after he finishes, stroking your belly and looking into your eyes. You move a bit further down the table so you can lift your hips quicker as he pulls out of you. He watches you lift your body, nods, and leaves. He comes back later with a towel, some water, and a plate of trimmings to share.
If this is the sex before the John Carver plan, you can't wait for what’s to come next.

Editors note: I was going to include a pigs in blanket joke at the end but it turns out that's only a British thing and not a Thanksgiving food?? You learn something new every day.

♡ Underrated Safe Foods ♡
Hii!! Since my last underrated safe food post blew up so much I thought I’d make a part two to these!
These r gonna be a lot more specific, as I’ll mention a lot of brands here (I’m in the US btw, pretty much all of these can be found at publix)
Quest protein chips - starting strong w these cause oh my god. They have around 20g of protein, 4g net carbs, and 140 cals per bag. The best part is, I cannot lie when I say these are actually SO MUCH better than any greasy calorie dense chip brand. My fav flavor is the chili lime, but there’s also loaded nacho, and the flavoring is so accurate on both!!!!/!!/ get these guys please
Enlighten bars (Sea Salt Caramel) - do you guys like ice cream bars? Do you also like them for only 80 cals?/?/? Yeah. There’s no catch like “it’s actually just frozen breast milk” or sum shit. I have no idea what they put in those things but man are they good, I wouldn’t even care if it was actually frozen breast milk
Raspberries - now you might be thinking “wdym those aren’t underrated everybody has fruit as a safe food” but nobody ever mentions the nutrients. Specifically FIBER. People always ignore fiber in their wl journey but it’s so important. Raspberries are a perfect fiber rich low cal food that you guys NEED to get on.
Kimchi - if you’re not familiar, kimchi (김치) is a korean food which is basically fermented cabbage in liek a sauce…i don’t know what the sauce is iforgot. But anyway, since it centers around cabbage, I think it’s no surprise that these are an amazing low cal option. And the best part is, the fermentation process produces a ton of healthy gut bacteria. It’s a lil bit sour so I personally don’t like it, but my friend does, and maybe that’s why he’s 15 lbs lighter than me
Egg whites - eggs themselves are amazing for wl, but you can enjoy them for a fraction of the cals. Most of the protein is in the whites anyway, so egg whites are genuinely one of the best sources of protein while also being extremely low cal. If you want, you can make your eggs with just one full egg and then mostly egg whites, and I like to sprinkle a little bit of feta in there so life doesn’t suck
Microwaved fiber one brownies - a little bit specific, but why eat your fiber brownie when it’s dryer than this pu-
when you can microwave it for a lil bit, add sum whipped cream (don’t come for me it’s high volume so it’s not actually that many cals) and have basically a hot fudge brownie for under 100 cals. You deserve to feel something every once in a while, and though it might not be the same, the brain fog from fasting will probably hinder your ability to tell the difference
That’s all!! If you guys have any more questions feel free to ask. Hopefully this list will help you diversify your diet, because I can imagine biting into your 3rd cucumber of the day just makes you sad.

Season to Taste - 4/? WIP
Explicit Hangster - Celebrity Chef Bradley and Naval Aviator Jake Seresin who have a relationship spanning the globe before they realize how tightly bound they are to one another. Heading into this little world.
PROLOGUE/ONE TWO THREE
CHAPTER FOUR
“Taste it. What is it missing?”
“It’s bland. Needs… some bite. Acid?”
                “Mmm. Good. Now try this.”
                “Yeah. That’s better.”
“I’m teaching you to taste. Salty. Sweet. Creamy. Acid. Fat. How does it feel in your mouth? Food is about all the senses. You feed them all.”
“How to do you do that with touch?”
Leandro tsks with frustration, hand gesturing wildly.
“You touch with your tongue. Mouth feel, how it feels, that is important. Smooth and silky sauce, or crunchy brittle. From the moment someone arrives their eating experience begins. Understand?”
                “I understand.”
…            …            …
Jake has collected the platter of quesadillas he ordered, carrying it over to the table where Bradley is sitting and waiting. There are three different types of filling and there’s no flare to the presentation but the smell wafting from the cardboard tray tells him it’s going to be good. The music and festive atmosphere is nice, makes him feel like part of the community and it’s relaxing not being under the microscope of cameras or set directors. Jake sits beside him on the table corner so the food is between them.
He doesn’t miss the way that Jake hooks an ankle around his, raising an eyebrow as if to ask if Bradley’s going to do anything about it and he just grins and reaches for one of the smaller cut triangles, presses his leg against Jake’s. Two can play at that game. Then he bites through the crunch of the quesadilla into the soft-melted cheese that makes a little string as he bites a smaller piece off, then there is the accompanying crunch and burst of tanginess of a pepper and he moans appreciatively.
“Oh my god, this is delicious.”
“I know right? So good,” Jake says with a grin, and then he dips his segment into what looks like plain ketchup. Bradley has to ask, has to know what the hell he’s doing.
“Are you… dipping that in ketchup?”
                “Yep.”
He knows he makes a little distressed sound, because these are good, and the idea that Jake is just overriding the flavor profile with something as mundane as ketchup makes a part of him twitch, but he also has to remind himself it’s not his fucking food and he needs to calm the fuck down. There are other sauces, a salsa verde which goes amazingly well with the cheese and pepper quesadillas, the sour cream with the spicier chicken and tomato quesadillas, then a tomato-based salsa and guacamole to go with the other quesadilla that has ground beef and onion and jalapenos. Everything is so fresh, and perfect and he for sure isn’t going to be putting ketchup on anything but Jake eating whatever he wants is fine.
                It’s fine.
Because he’s been taught to try everything he even tries a little bit of each one with ketchup, and yeah, it’s plain store bought ketchup and he is baffled as to why anyone would have ketchup over any of the other accompanying sauces but he’s quickly become endeared by it. Well, endeared by Jake. While he’s been taught to try everything, he’s also been taught that eating is meant to be about enjoyment. Jake is clearly enjoying it, his smile easy and relaxed, licking his fingers in a way that isn’t distracting at all, his foot tapping to the music and he’s looking at Bradley like he’d maybe like to dip him in ketchup and eat him. He grins at the thought. He’d let him.
First though he needs to say thank you to the chef, maybe ask to work in his kitchen for a day at some point, because the salsa verde is maybe the best he’s ever tasted. He picks up the trash and gestures toward the truck where Jake ordered from. Jake is following him, talking and waving greetings to the few people who call out to him and Bradley likes that he’s not the one being singled out here. He slips into Spanish, knows it’s potentially too formal but he’s also very clearly American so the fact he’s even trying goes a long way and he can tell the chef is impressed with the language skills and his questions. He gets an invitation to come and help with prep for a day in exchange for watching the making of the salsa verde and he snaps it up, scribbling his number and name on a napkin and grinning when the other man’s eyes go wide when he reads the name. Bradley just gives him a big grin and thanks him again before turning back to Jake.
                “You speak Spanish?”
                “Sí.”
“And also Italian, because you were talking in Italian when we met.”
“Sì. I was. I also speak French and German and Swedish and then I have some Arabic, Mandarin and Japanese. Those are just the languages I feel confident in.”
                “Holy shit. Why so many?”
Bradley shrugs, because he didn’t really have a reason, and he can’t really write in any of them except the French and Italian.
“I find languages easy, but I travel a lot for work now, because I speak so many languages. People like having me around.”
“You’re one of those poly-people… the ones that speak lots of languages.”
“A polyglot. And yeah, I am.”
“And here I was thinking my little streak in Duolingo was impressive.”
“I’m sure it’s very impressive. What language are you learning with Duolingo?”
                “Italian.”
                Bradley’s eyebrows shoot up.
                “Really?”
                “Hmm. Seems I needn’t have bothered…”
“Oh no, I always appreciate effort. Effort is nearly always more impressive than the end product.”
                “You think so huh?”
“Mmm. Going to show off some of your Italian?”
“Was going to show off some of my dancing moves,” Jake says, looking towards where there are people line dancing and Bradley’s mind flashes back to dancing with Jake in the club in Italy, the press of their bodies against each other and he’ll dance with Jake if that’s what he really wants, but he is also more than happy for them to find a bed. Line dancing doesn’t allow him to press himself against Jake’s body the way he wants and he might as well lay his cards on the table.
“Don’t think I need you show me your dance moves. How about you show me some other type of moves? Vieni a casa con me?”
Jake blinks at him, and Bradley waits patiently, switching language mid-sentence was maybe a bit mean but he’s liking the little wide-eyed and wild look that’s starting to flicker in Jake’s expression and he steps in close, places his lips close to Jake’s ear and whispers the words again. Vieni a casa con me? Come home with me?
“Yeah. Yeah come one. Want to talk about being something more than friends…”
Bradley laughs and lets Jake lead him back to his truck.
…            …            …
Jake keeps thinking that he should maybe hold back a little, be less demanding, less rough maybe, that holding Leo’s hands above his head while he places biting kisses over Leo’s jaw and throat is simply too much, except that Leo is so eager and responsive, Jake can’t stop himself from giving in and being as toppy as he wants. Still he’s a little surprised when Leo presses a condom into his hand and murmurs want you to fuck me against Jake’s mouth and he can’t tell if it’s a demand or plea. Also he really wants Leo to say it in another language, because apparently that’s a kink Jake didn’t know he had. However he needs to practice more, because at the moment Leo could be reading the phonebook in Italian and Jake would have no clue.
Having snuck into Leo’s accommodation and somehow avoided everyone else staying there Jake finally has him naked, ridiculously long legs spread so he can kneel between them and Jake is working Leo open with one slick finger, helping hold his legs open with a hand braced on the inside of one of Leo’s thighs.
“God you’re gorgeous…” Jake says, his gaze caught between where his finger is slipping in and out of Leo’s hole and Leo’s flushed face, half-hidden due to the fact he’s thrown his arm over his eyes, like he either can’t watch Jake; or doesn’t want Jake to see him as he falls apart. The way he jerks against Jake’s hand makes him suspect the latter.
                “Cazzo…”
“Oh, that’s a swear word. I know that one…” Jake says, and he adds more lube, slides in another finger and watches as Leo bites on his lip and doesn’t seem to breathe for a few seconds before he gasps for air.
                “Jake.”
“Mmm,” Jake murmurs, because there’s nothing to say, not really. Their fingers and hands and bodies are doing all of the talking right now. He crooks his fingers, can feel the spongy bundle of nerves and feels smug when Leo gasps, his cock jerking against his stomach, the head getting sticky with pre-cum.
“Don’t fucking tease…” Leo mutters, one of his legs hooking around Jake to try and bring him closer. “Come on. Please.”
                “Patience is a virtue.”
“I’m not a virtuous man. Hurry the fuck up.”
He slides a third finger in and almost laughs at Leo’s grown of frustration, his head thumping back onto the mattress and Jake speeds things up a little, his own cock starting to become uncomfortably hard and needing something.
                “Come on, I’m ready.”
“Yeah, yeah okay…” Jake agrees, because even if he doesn’t completely agree he’s not going to fucking argue the point when Leo so clearly wants him to fuck him and his entire body is hot at the thought of sinking into the clenching heat of him. Leo pulls at him with both hands, dragging him into an absolutely filthy kiss that really hammers home just how ready he is and Jake is totally on board with it all.
And finally, after Jake has rolled the condom on with unsteady hands, he sinks his cock in slowly, God, so so slowly, starts mentally reciting the pre-flight checks to stop himself from just letting go completely. Lets his hands run over Leo’s body and categorizes tense muscles or discomfit or anything else he can maybe pick up on. Once he’s fully inside of Leo, Jake holds himself very still, bracing himself on his arms as he stares down at Leo, who has his eyes closed, breathing heavily.
“Leo,” Jake manages, his voice strangled, “Leo, is this –”
“Good. It’s good,” Leo breathes, shifting slightly, enough that it has Jake biting at his lip to keep control. “Just, ah, give me a moment…” He breathes in and out and Jake watches his chest rise and fall and wonders if he’s imagining feeling his heartbeat around his cock. Then he’s opening his eyes and he’s nodding. “Come on… want to feel it.” Jake is pretty sure that’s a forgone conclusion but he slowly starts to rock in and out, shallow thrusts at first, but as he and Leo move together, the pace begins to pick up until Jake is swearing and sweating as he practically bends Leo in half, pounding into him hard enough to send the headboard of the bed rattling against the wall, the slick noises of their bodies coming together an obscene soundtrack in Jake’s ears, matched by Leo’s slurred voice urging him on. Harder, oh God, Jake, it’s so good, a little harder, please, fuck are the only words he can make out in English, though there are others. It’s sweet and filthy and everything that Jake wants to hear, everything that Jake could want, and he sets his teeth into the muscle of Leo’s shoulder. Leo’s hand grips his ass hard at that, his body clenching tighter around Jake’s cock. He keeps fucking into him with short, sharp thrusts until Leo is gasping and coming apart around him, beneath him, and Jake squeezes his eyes shut and follows soon after in a hazy rush of pleasure.

@scifigrl47: King Arthur Baking Company has a new “loaded baked potato” pizza recipe and I kind of want to try it.
Me: CHALLENGE ACCEPTED
@scifigrl47: Nobody issued any kind of chall --
Me: THIS RECIPE IS WRONG
That’s not verbatim how it went down but it’s more or less what happened. I’m sure it’s actually a fine recipe, I have yet to get a stinker from KA Baking, but I don’t like straight un-mashed potato and I didn’t like cheddar as the only cheese on a pizza, so I decided to design my own.
[ID: A photograph of a pizza baked in a cast iron pan, sprinkled with seasoning, with bacon visible here and there; the two kinds of cheese are both golden-brown from the oven.]
The modified KA Baking pizza recipe I use creates two deep-dish cast-iron crusts, so I made one full-on experimental potato pizza and one relatively normal pizza.
First, I let the dough rise in the pan and then gave it a very light sprinkling of mozzarella cheese. I added my usual pizza sauce to half, and left the other half sauceless. I took cold instant garlic mashed potatoes (I don't want to hear it, instant mash is fast and comes out perfect every time) and sprinkled broken up bits of it all over the pizza, then sprinkled cooked bacon bits over that.
I covered half the pizza with sharp cheddar and half with low-moisture part-skim mozzarella (my pizza cheese of choice), arranged so that there were four quadrants: sauced-cheddar, sauced-mozzarella, unsauced-cheddar, and unsauced-mozzarella.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ID: Two photos of the same not-yet-baked pizza, one without cheese so the potato and bacon is visible, one with cheese, to demonstrate how it's half-and-half cheddar and mozzarella.]
The other pizza, I used pizza sauce on the whole thing, mozzarella cheese on the whole thing, then half I sprinkled with sauteed diced mushrooms (a personal favorite) and half I dolloped with mashed potato and tomato-onion jam.
Tumblr media
[ID: A pizza in a cast iron pan, dotted with red sauce and mushrooms, with chunks of mashed potato here and there, brown at the edges.]
That one'll eat well regardless, I feel.
Anyway, I baked them at 450 for 15 minutes, and the experimental pizza came out of the oven looking fine, so I sliced it and taste-tested each slice.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ID: Two images of the same experimental pizza; it is sliced in four quarters. In the second image, each slice has one giant bite taken out of it, right at the point, so that it looks like the pizza has a hole in the middle of it.]
I live alone, if I want to take a bite out of every slice of pizza, it's fine.
Anyway, my tasting notes are thus:
-- I still prefer mozzarella to cheddar. Cheddar gets kind of nasty when it melts open like this. Crunchy and oily, not a fan.
-- The bacon bits were either too large or shouldn't be there at all. I'm not a fan of bacon on pizza for texture reasons; the bacon should be a flavoring, I think.
-- It needs sauce. It just does. Mashed potatoes straight onto pizza crust is too much dry stuff at once. The mozzarella helps, but only so much. The pizza sauce, while it did add a nice texture, was not the right flavor for the potato. I think instead of pizza sauce, a bacon-ranch sauce would be ideal, incorporating the bacon flavor without adding too much crunch.
-- A perfectly nice pizza, but like, there's no reason to do this other than novelty. Arguably just making 'tato skins would be easier. Still, it's a fun thing to serve at a party or something.
I did have some leftover bacon so I made a bacon-onion sauce out of sour cream, a tiny bit of milk, the remaining bacon, and a generous spoonful of dried onions.
Tumblr media
[ID: A sour cream cup with a fork in it; the cup is about half-full of a sour cream sauce with red and green flecks of bacon and onion.]
I'll try dunking the reheated pizza in it and see how that goes. But I'm willing to call this a qualified success. Eminently edible, and it was fun to do!

top 10 things i cooked in 2023
this year i made 104 unique recipes (plus lots of duplicates when i liked something enough to make it multiple times). the places i went to most for recipes were feasting at home + the NYT recipes app, although i very much liked the weekday vegetarians, love and lemons, cookie & kate, nora cooks, and the foodie takes flight.
my top 10, in no particular order:
NYT ricotta pasta with roasted broccoli and crispy chickpeas (super simple but a great yummy pasta to make real quick for friends. I roasted the broccoli instead of broiling and added lots of extra lemon zest, garlic, red pepper flakes, and a tray of oven-roasted chickpeas)
moroccan vegetable tagine (i blended a bunch of recipes but the one linked was my starting point. this is the one form i like butternut squash in lol. modifications: i went heavy on all the spices but especially the cinnamon and cardamom, added chopped dried apricots to the stew for extra sweetness, and threw in a bunch of extra veggies. yum)
indian-ish nachos with cheddar, black beans and chutney (do NOT skip the multiple chutneys and sauces. it will seem like too much work you will say can't i just make one and be done with it but those sauces are where the magic lies. the great tragedy of these nachos is that i wanted to eat them for DAYS but they do not reheat well. but godddd they were good)
ottolenghi's green pancakes with lime butter (these are SO easy. great for brunch but also make delicious additions to your lunch for a couple days after. also it's a perfect way to eat a pound of spinach and feel very virtuous about it when really you just ate delicious jalapeno-y scallion pancakes. the lime butter is great but it's a lot of work so i usually just top these with some sour cream mixed with a lil bit of lime zest & lime juice)
cauliflower shawarma with spicy tahini sauce (YUM! the tahini sauce as written was too bitter for me with the cholula mixed in. i think i'd try it with sriracha next time so it was a little sweeter. i also added chickpeas yum)
roasted cauliflower daal with chickpeas (my notes say this was "OUTTA THIS WORLD DELICIOUS" but also note that it will "really clean you out GI-wise" lol. lentils always have that effect on me though so ymmv. i added bell pepper, roasted the cauliflower first, cooked the lentils most of the way soft in the rice cooker instead of on the stove, and added two chopped serrano peppers with seeds to give it a lil extra kick. i would recommend halving the recipe if you are cooking for one as there were TONS of leftovers and my GI system could not handle being cleansed that many times lol)
pasta with corn, tomatoes, "onion-bacon," and basil (this method of preparing onions really should not taste like bacon and yet it sort of does????? this was a summer recipe i made multiple times for a range of audiences and it was a hit every time. originally from the weekday vegetarians)
creamy corn pasta (THIS HAS NO RIGHT BEING AS GOOD AS IT IS. IT'S SO SIMPLE AND YET IT'S THE BEST THING I'VE EVER TASTED I COULD EAT IT FOR DAYS. WE ATE IT ALL SUMMER)
ottolenghi's very full roasted veggie tart (it will take you hours to make and no time at all to consume but oh my god it's so good and SUCH a satisfying way to spend a long weekend afternoon. liz and i loved this so much we had to have a serious sitdown to discuss how we would divvy up the leftovers because we felt it could seriously damage our friendship if one of us ate all of it)
bombay burritos (the little sauces and things take a long time to make but you can prep a lot of the stuff a day or two in advance and gosh these are so tasty!! the curried mashed potatoes YUM)
honorable mentions:
ottolenghi's mango soba noodles (skip the eggplant i'd do tofu or something instead)
braised tofu with basil (i made this with a veggie-loaded stir fry and topped it with a fried egg)
this carrot cake (it took forever to make but it was the best carrot cake i've ever had and the only thing i'll ever make on my bday from here on out). she also has a pumpkin cake recipe that is so good and much simpler to make (no grating required)
momofuku's ginger scallion tofu with crispy coconut rice (the recipe is for a shrimp version but we made it with tofu and it was very yummy. i made this at a friend's house and it was so good i wanted to ask to take home some of the leftovers but decided that was too rude ahaha)
and then of course i gotta give a shoutout to my #1 comfort foods this year, SHAKSHUKA (my beloved) + a caprese sandwich with balsamic glaze served on really good bread.

My Pheebs! For the 8 Drarry Nights prompts: decorating for their first holiday living together. Any holiday that brings you joy
Tumblr media
YOU BRING ME JOY!!! @basicallyahedgehog!!! Thanks for sending in a prompt, darling.
You do know how much I love you, right? Like. It's so much. So so so so much. You are simply one of my favorites. Here's some Hanukkah softness. It's all dialogue because that's where the muse is taking me today.
Swear to be Overdramatic and True
"Does the 'Happy Hanukkah' banner look straight to you?"
"Yes, love, it looks perfect. And I spread the special confetti you bought out on the table."
"What about the gelt? Remember, Teddy likes dark chocolate and Rosie likes milk chocolate, so let's set out both. Oh, and we probably need more than one dreidel."
"I've got it all set out on the small table in the living room."
"Perfect. I guess that's everyth—oh no, Merlin, Harry, the apple sauce and sour cream for the lackeys!!"
"They're called latkes, love. We've got all that in the fridge, remember?"
"And—have we got enough food?"
"Yes, sweetheart. We've got plenty. Molly's made a brisket."
"Did you give her the—"
"The recipe from the cookbook I found in Godric's Hollow? Yes, I did."
"Er...what about—"
"Draco, darling, c'mere."
*quiet grumbling and soft footsteps*
"It'll be alright. We've got everything we need. It's going to be fun, I promise."
"But—but what if something goes wrong! What if I knock over the menorah, or I mess up the rules for Dreidel, or I eat too much gelt, or I do something that makes them hate me forever and then you realize I'm a fraud and you break up with me and move out."
"Well...most of those things are just, like, understandable mistakes that we could easily fix. But I can promise you that that last one definitely won't happen."
"How do you know that?"
"Well, do you love me?"
"Of course I do. I love you so much."
"Right. And I love you."
"...Yes? And?"
"And nothing. You love me, Draco. You care about me, and you'd never intentionally hurt me. And you might not realize it, but you have formed actual, solid bonds with most of my friends and family. They like you."
"I—no. That's impossible."
"I'm afraid it's true. You and Ron play chess every week. You're the only one Hermione goes to when she wants to have deep, intellectual conversations about magic. You willingly—enthusiastically, even—listened to Arthur teach you about Muggle culture. You helped Molly cook Sunday dinner. You—"
"I get it, Potter, your family likes me."
"They do! And they're right to do so. And so am I. Love, you have got to trust yourself. And if you can't do that, then trust me when I tell you that you are good, Draco Malfoy. You are a good man, with a good heart. And I love you."
*sigh* "I love you too."
"Good then. Do you believe me?"
"I guess."
*scoff* "You guess?"
"Fine. Yes, I believe you, you sappy Gryffindor."
"Good." *Floo chimes* "Oh, good, just in time. Ready, love?"
*taking Harry's hand* "I'm ready."

Daily Check-in: October 12th, 2023 🎀
Today has been a lazy yet somewhat decent day? There's not much to complain about. Besides the fact that I didn't do a single homework assignment, I'm exhausted, so that's alright. I did do a decent amount of Japanese studying today though I didn't open up my Genki Textbook like I had wanted to but oh well, there's always tomorrow!
🩷 What I Ate Today -
Brunch - Spaghetti with ground Turkey and meat sauce
Dinner - Taco bowl with ground beef, black beans, shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, sour cream, a small dollop of avocado, and red salsa with 1.5 low carb tortillas
Snack - bunny tracks ice cream, 16oz bottle of Dr pepper
Extra - 4? cups of coffee (or 5, I can't remember)
I was not very productive today in terms of academic progress, but I still feel like I did what I could given my energy levels. (and caffiene intake). Did not eat the healthiest, but I listened to my body, and honestly, not every day will be perfect, and that's okay!
🩷 Personal Achievements, Oct 12th -
cooked ground beef (leftovers woooo!!)
washed dirty laundry
put away all clean clothes

typed up one draft for upcoming blog post
I had heard about an app called Kanji that teaches you kanji based on JLPT Levels, and I actually really like it, so I bought access to all levels for 11$ USD!! feel like that's a fair price for over 2000 kanji, and I'm excited to start expanding my Japanese knowledge. Also, I am trying out the LingQ app. It's pretty interesting and seems useful for reading practice! I don't know why I got such a kick to study japanese but I am not complaining!!
No Academic Achievements for Today

Giving myself a lot of school work to complete tomorrow but that's okay because I have the day off from work so I know I'll be able to get a lot of it done, if not all of it! I'm hoping I sleep decently tonight so I can wake up ready to rule the world tomorrow. My goal is to wake up early, workout, shower, do some makeup and get ready, and be on campus early to get back into the school mindset because I know I've been slacking these last two days. I work a double shift on Saturday, so tomorrow is really the ideal time to finish everything as much as possible.
🩷 Song of the Day: Fearless, Jp Version - Le Sserafim
This has been my anthem lately. It's catchy, and I kind of prefer this to the original version in Korean, but that's a bit biased on my end as I am studying Japanese at the moment.
🩷 Tomorrow Morning Workout - Pilates
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even if I only finish the first video, I will be proud of myself. It's the effort that counts, and it's definitely gonna be a start! I will be posting an updated current workout schedule with routines soon!!
That's all for now! I will update tomorrow night!
Til next time, lovelies 🩷

last night i made ginger carrot mushroom dumplings with dumpling sauce, sour spicy cold noodles, tomato egg drop soup with tofu and some carrot slaw as well as the BA (archived, no clicks) french yogurt cake. everybody got seconds of everything 🥰
dumplings: i don’t think i’ll bother making the dough from scratch again, made it kind of ugly, but batched dumplings is a totally perfect meal for me to prep and it may become my signature. i am always looking for the best stuff i can mostly prep ahead to lower day-of hosting stress, which this menu achieved really well. as for the filling, i improvised the mushroom sub for meat and it was fine but i would have preferred tofu. the finely grated carrot was amazing and i can’t wait to put that in other kinds of dumplings (ravioli, pierogi, DONUTS??)
dumpling sauce: black vinegar for a dumpling is probably close to my favorite thing to eat on earth but i’m still calibrating my favorite way to do it. i hewed pretty close to the CJ eats but ended up adding twice the vinegar to my own (and it was too salty for me). i made a jar of this then put out all the condiments and gave everyone dishes to mix up what they wanted and this worked great.
noodles: i did woks of life exactly for this, with the spaghetti. i’d prefer more heat and a black vinegar instead, but i will eat this all the time forever. currently having leftovers for lunch. if you come to my holidays look forward to cold spaghetti forever!
soup: i’ve really been trying to learn more soups that start from something other than onions, and i love chinese cooking for that, but it can sometimes be hard to cook meatless. i love how fast chinese soups can come together without meat, and i love the approach of adding a little liquid to a liquid to build a broth—can be very different from euro canon and has helped me learn better instincts. i talked to a vietnamese friend and she suggested getting into rice porridges for guests, great idea. my thing is i always want a vegetarian soup for everybody, and i think vegetarians get fed the same flavor profiles over and over again, and i really love tofu and want to treat veg eaters to really good preparations of tofu grounded in where tofu comes from, which happens to also be my favorite cuisine. so i have to get good at it! but this soup was Not Good to me until i put that egg in and some sesame oil on top. truly trust the process i guess!
i had thought about frying tofu for this meal but it would have been too much. i think with the dipping sauce setup i would have preferred to have two types of things to dip though.
carrot slaw was a last minute addition because i didn’t think i had enough food and it wasn’t as good as it is when i pickle it. the carrots this month have been truly divine.
cake: this was good and easy but probably missing the effortlessness of the french yogurt cake. would like to try again with french instead of greek yogurt (what i had). what is it about BA that they’re like what if you made a cake that tasted like oil? my house SMELLED like CANOLA OIL and i found it offputting. they’re gonna have us doing vegetable oil drizzles on ice cream in june i swear to god

🍽️ 🍔🥧🍦🍳🍩 🧑‍🍳 🍿(I'm hungry)
You know what? Today was a day of indulging into some delicious treats, and there was a cooking advice post in my queue! Let the food questions come in! And thank you for joining the game. (^∀^●)ノシ
🍽️ Are you craving any particular food right now? Not at the moment, yet a restaurant I really like is currently very creative with their pasta dishes, and I can't wait to treat myself with them after mock exams. 🍔 What's your ideal burger? After the absolute gourmet feast @bigre-fichtre presented, it's hard to come up with anything equally delicious. But let's try: Lye bread bun, medium rare beef patty spiced with minimally with caraway and red pepper, Gorgonzola sauce, fried mushrooms (either button mushroom or chanterelle) mixed with finely sliced springonions, and crispy bacon stripes.
🥧 Favourite pie? Savoury: Hare pie, with mushrooms if possible, with golden crust. Sweet: Lemon pie, Italian Chestnut cream pie
🍦 Top picks for a 3 scoop ice cream cone? Alright, please note that I pass at least 3 ice cream shops from my way from work to home. If I'd take a detour I'd pass 6. All of them are either in hands of Italian ice cream makers or ambitious hipster cooks. Hence, this answer is poisoned with spoiled rotten, pretentious city citizen pretentiousness: Raspberry, Pistachio, Early Grey.
🍳 What do you like to do for breakfast? On work days: Usually something I prepared before hand, and can easily be reheated like porridge, misosoup, or spiced fruit salad. If I've time, Shakshuka or Bánh Tráng Nướng (the latter I highly recommend as it's quick, easy, and tasty!) On free days (would love to have one of those someday...): Usually something egg based like scrambled eggs, or if I'm feeling fancy: Pancakes. My partner has some remarkably peculiar cooking skills which do include a perfect poached egg and omurice.
🍩 Hottest food to see somebody else eat? Well, my Vietnamese colleague once poured Sriracha over his Buldak-instant soup, so...
🧑‍🍳 Do you have a food or cooking (or eating) tip for us?
Not much of a secret but some savoury dishes sincerely flourish from sweet pinches: Add a pinch of cinnamon in your meat, no sugar, to you meat to give it a more tender aroma. A teaspoon of sugar or honey in your tomatoe sauce sooth the sour aspects of the tomatoes.
Oh, and if you've any vegetables containing a lost of water, let them leak first. Cut them, put them aside at a safe spot (board, plate, bowl, anything goes), add a pinch of salt, stir them a bit, so they can leak excess water. It helps to prevent certain dishes to become runny or soggy.
🍿 Best movie snack? In cinema: Could do without, although during action movies (sweet) popcorn is nice. At the home screen: Chickenwings (with mint dip), or pizza. ;)

National Burrito Day
Line up some meat, beans and cheese on a large flour tortilla. Fold in the sides, fold up the bottom and then roll on, my friend, roll on! And it’s the rolling that really makes the burrito come alive.
It’s time to celebrate and enjoy this simple but delicious food on National Burrito Day!
History of National Burrito Day
The history of the burrito is couched in mystery because the concept of meats and cheeses rolled in tortillas is hard to trace! A variety of different types of foods that originate from Mexico include the tortilla with meat and cheese, such as the taco and the enchilada, taquitos, chimichangas or even quesadillas. But the burrito is a bit unique because it is larger than others and its history has grown out of the culture of Mexico but made its way into the southwestern portions of the United States where it became even more popular.
Burritos can be traced back at least to the 19th century, when these recipes were developed. In fact, one of the oldest mentions of the word “burrito” came in 1895 when it was mentioned in a book called the “Dictionary of Mexicanisms”.
Originally created with simple meat and cheese inside of a tortilla, and then probably sold by street food vendors, the burrito evolved into something more as the years went on. Sometimes called mission-style burritos the idea came for adding beans and rice as fillers, and then guacamole and sour cream for toppings. It was after this that the burrito developed into something more akin to what it is today, with some restaurants like Chipotle offering a huge range of options for preferred ways to fill a burrito.
In any case, the burrito is a hearty and delicious meal that is certainly worth celebrating! And that’s where the tradition of National Burrito Day, whether old or new, finds its place in the world.
National Burrito Day Timeline
16th Century
Ancestors of burritos appear
Food wrapped in tortillas becomes a Mexican tradition.
1930s
Burritos first appear on US menus
In the US, the first restaurant to put burritos on the menu was El Cholo Spanish Cafe in Los Angeles, California.
1940s
A Ciudad Juárez street vendor sells burritos
The story goes that this Mexican street vendor portioned meat out in tortillas, perfect for children, whom he called “burritos”.
1961
Mission-style burritos evolve
The Mexican food scene in San Francisco produces an extra large burrito that adds rice, guacamole and sour cream.
1993
First Chipotle Mexican Grill opens
Famous for their freshly made burritos, Chipotle opens its first store in Denver, Colorado.
How to Celebrate National Burrito Day
Getting in the spirit of National Burrito Day can be loads of fun and a tasty adventure. Get involved with the day by implementing some of these ideas for celebrating:
Try Making Burritos at Home
One super delicious way to celebrate National Burrito Day is to hang out with family or invite a group of friends over for a burrito bar. In fact, burritos are some of the easiest foods to serve when hosting a crowd! Those who have a quick cooking instant pot may choose to cook some pork or chicken with seasonings in just about an hour. A slow cooker or roasting in the oven are viable options as well.
Friends can be invited to bring the fixings such as large flour tortillas, black or red beans, rice with cilantro, guacamole, cheese sour cream, salsa, tortilla chips, jalapenos, hot sauces, and so many other yummy toppings! Line everything up and let each guest make their own burrito by piling on everything they love. It’s a fun way to serve a great meal without a lot of fuss.
Go Out for Burritos
One superb way to celebrate National Burrito Day might be to grab a friend or family member, head on over to a restaurant that serves burritos and order a delicious plate full. Perhaps this would be a locally owned and operated Mexican restaurant that serves up beef, chicken or bean burritos on a bed of rice. Or maybe it would be a quick lunch at a fast and fresh food burrito restaurant.
Don’t forget to ask if that favorite Mexican kitchen is offering any special deals or discounts in celebration of National Burrito Day!
Try out one of these Mexican restaurant chains that serves burritos:
QDOBA Mexican Eats. With more than 700 locations in the United States, it’s easy to find a delicious burrito nearby. Try the specialty chicken burrito that is customizable to each individual’s desired tastes and preferences.
Chipotle. One of the largest and most accessible burrito joints, this chain boasts almost 3,000 locations not only in the US, but also in Canada, Germany, France and the United Kingdom.
Moe’s Southwest Grill. This one is perhaps not quite as well known, but Moe’s is still a viable option that has up to 700 locations throughout the US.
Taco Bell. Sure, it gets a bad rap (or wrap?!) sometimes, but there’s no arguing with the fact that 7000 locations worldwide is nothing to overlook. And it’s probably the quickest service for burritos and other Mexican fast food around.
Enjoy a Tex-Mex Themed Day
Whether at work or at school, National Burrito Day brings with it many opportunities to enjoy and show appreciation for the culture behind this delicious food. In addition to eating burritos, don’t forget to stay connected through fun aspects such as festive music, delightful decorations, cultural dress and even some fun games.
One fun activity might be to grab a blindfold and play Pin the Tail on the Donkey. After all, the word for “burrito” really translates to mean “little donkey” in the Spanish language. Another fun game for a National Burrito Day party might be to have a cute pinata filled with candy and treats.
Create a Burrito Themed Playlist
Have tons of fun creating a festive playlist of songs celebrating the home culture of the burrito. Get started with some of these fun ideas for songs that give a nod to National Burrito Day:
How Do I Feel (The Burrito Song) by Hoku (2000). The songwriter penned this one in honor of a boy she liked who worked at a burrito stand. Sure, it’s a little silly, but it’s also rather fun.
Burrito by Pete Yorn (2003). Known for his ability to play the bulk of the instruments on his albums, Pete Yorn sings this song where he offers the listener a bite of his burrito.
O Burrito by Fernando Corriera Marques (2009). This tribute is sung as it should be – in Spanish!
The Burrito Song by Creed Fisher (2022). A strange but compelling song by Creed Fisher, this one is more of a kids’ song but certainly shows its love for burritos too.
National Burrito Day FAQs
How to fold a burrito?
Fold a warm tortilla by folding in on the sides, folding the bottom up, and then rolling up.
Are burritos from Mexico?
Burritos may have gotten their start in the northern regions of Mexico, but they crossed the border to become “Tex-Mex”.
Can burritos be healthy?
Burritos made with low fat meat, beans, rice, and a small amount of cheese can be healthy.
Do burritos have rice?
Though original burritos would not have included rice, many people make them with rice now.
Are burrito bowls healthier than burritos?
People who choose burrito bowls instead of wraps can save on calories, carbohydrates and also be gluten free.

Chapter 43
Tumblr media
Warnings: None
Copyright: I do not own any Marvel characters or locations. However, I do own my OC: Elizabeth Y/L/N (created so you don't get Y/N and Y/S/N consistently mixed up. I do not condone any copying of this.
"ELIZABETH COME ON!" YOU COMPLAINED, watching your sister in the kitchen as she kept you from seeing the desserts that she was making.
"Nope." Elizabeth said without hesitation. "Go outside Y/N. I'm busy."
"But I want to see the desserts!" You whined.
"And you'll get to see them when I put them outside." Elizabeth said, a slight laugh in her voice. "What a child. I swear you're worse than Pietro and Sam."
You sighed, watching as Elizabeth finally turned and then used a sweep of water to grab about fifty identical drinking glasses from the cupboard and lined them upon the table.
"If you stay in here, I'm going to make you become one of the waitresses." Elizabeth grumbled as you watched her pour even amounts of sprite into every single glass, before grabbing the grenadine sauce, putting two squirts into each one, than adding two cherries.
"Shirley Temples!" You said in excitement.
"Yep." Elizabeth said with a grin. "I thought they were perfect for a spring drink."
"We haven't had these in forever." You said happily, reaching for one before Elizabeth smacked your hand.
"No touching. I need everything to perfect. If you insist on getting in my way, at least do it helpfully and go make sure no one set the garden on fire with the grill." Elizabeth said, half-pushing you out the door.
"Fine, fine." You grumbled. "I'm going. You're so mean."
"Love you too." Elizabeth said and shut the door behind you. You heard the lock click behind you.
You laughed to yourself and then headed across to where Steve and Tony were using the grill for hamburgers, hot dogs, steaks, and grilled cheese sandwiches. Natasha was helping, though when she saw you, she left their side to kiss you and saying, "Sister kick you out?"
"Yep." You said, rolling your eyes.
Arms were suddenly around you and you titled your head back to see Pietro there. "Hey speedy."
Pietro kissed your cheek. "You shouldn't be on your feet for to long." He moved his hand down to your baby bump.
Thor had already said that the baby inside your stomach was a little boy. Of Loki's birth as well, though all of the men and women were treating him like it was theirs as well.
You weren't worried about them treating the little boy differently because Elizabeth had already had two children. Two! And they all treated them like their own.
You watched the said toddlers, only two years old, chase after your younger brother in the grasses, who was turning four today. Well, was already four you supposed.
"SISSY!" Jimmy shouted, running straight for you, trying to hide behind your legs while Elizabeth's little devils Hope and Austin chased after him while giggling. They were twins, though Hope was Steve's little girl and Austin was Hogun's boy.
"Hey, we're almost done." Tony said cheerfully, sliding many of the hot dogs onto another plate. "How's the rest coming along?"
"If I was allowed in the kitchen I could tell you." You said with a slight laugh, taking the platter of hot dogs and heading over to put them down on the table. There were large bowls of lays original chips, as well as barbeque chips, sour cream and onion, and then a brand called Cape Cod with a salt and vinegar flavor that Elizabeth was partial to.
Steve laughed. "That sounds like her."
"Alright, well try and let her know that we're almost done out here." Nat smiled. "And we'll have to get the drinks out here as well."
"Will do." You said, giving her a little salute which made her roll her eyes and smile before turning back to the grilled cheese sandwiches.
Elizabeth didn't let you back in the house and so you just shouted through the door that the food was ready and she gave you and okay and there was nothing else.
Rolling your eyes at your sisters' theatrics, you headed back to the food table to get some chips.
ₓ˚. ୭ ˚○◦˚.˚◦○˚ ୧ .˚ₓ
ELIZABETH WAS FEELING QUITE PLEASED with the turn out of the desserts. The very simple cookies with a single Hershey kiss pressed in the middle, chocolate chip cookie sandwiches with thin layers of vanilla icing between them, chocolate dipped Oreos, funnel cake bites with powered sugar, and of course, the birthday cake.
She was just putting the finishing touches to the brownies now, icing half of them with vanilla icing, while putting a chocolate drizzle on the other half.
Then she turned back to the birthday cake, which was a rectangular cake which she had carefully used vanilla icing dyed green and blue to create a Minecraft looking world. She'd had the trees, animals, people, and buildings made by a pastry artist, but everything else had been her.
"Perfect." She mumbled to herself, stomach growling.
"Bucky is going to freak when he finds out you did all of this on your own." A smirking voice said behind her.
"He won't." Elizabeth said easily, not turning to look at Clint. "Know, I mean."
Clint chuckled. "Any of us would've helped you little bird."
"I wanted to do it." Elizabeth shrugged. "If you want something done right, you do it yourself."
"Fair." Clint said, reaching for a cookie before Elizabeth smacked his hand away. "And I thought I was going to have to watch out for Pietro and Sam." She muttered.
Clint laughed. "Nah, they're playing with the kids."
Elizabeth smiled softly and looked at Clint. "I don't suppose, since you're here, helping me bring out the Shirley Temples?"
"Of course." Clint said, moving to grab one of the trays. There were five trays with ten drinks on each. He picked up one in one hand and then carefully maneuvered a second into his other hand. Elizabeth watched him warily.
"I'll be fine." Clint said in a patronizing tone. "C'mon, open the door up."
Rolling her eyes, Elizabeth opened the door and watched anxiously as Clint made it safely to the table, setting the drinks down, before corralling all of the other kids and scattered Avengers and Jimmy's friends to the table.
Elizabeth turned back to the desserts, getting ready to put them in the refrigerator to keep them nice and fresh.
Clint came back and brought out the rest of the drinks, "Coming little bird?"
"Right after you." Elizabeth said with a smile, but before she could put the desserts in the fridge, two very large hands blocked her into the corner of the kitchen.
"Doll." Bucky growled.
"Oh, hello Bucky." Elizabeth said innocently. "Did you um, find what I needed?"
"I thought I said you were to kick your feet up. Not make all the desserts." Bucky growled, moving his hand down to her bump.
Elizabeth, after seeing just how protective Bucky was when she was pregnant with any child, but especially his child, had figured the only way that she could get him to let her make the desserts was to get him out of the house. So she'd asked him to the run to the store to get something that technically did exist, the store just didn't happen to have it here.
"Making desserts isn't going to hurt me or the babies Bucky." Elizabeth said softly. "And I wanted Jimmy's birthday to be perfect."
"I could've helped." Bucky said glumly.
Elizabeth softened. "I'm sorry Buck. I just wanted everything to be perfect. You're right, I should've let you help."
"It's alright doll." Bucky sighed, kissing her cheek. "I'm sorry too. I know how you are with these things. My little perfectionist. C'mon, let me help you take everything out. I don't want you carrying anything heavy."
Elizabeth smiled, handing him over the birthday cake and the brownie pan while she grabbed the large plate that had all of the different types of cookies on them. After her and Bucky settled everything down, they went back for the funnel cake bites and the soda pop.
The food was served. It was Jimmy, all of his friends from Sunday school and kindergarten, and then just about every female and male Avenger imaginable except for Heimdall, who both Elizabeth and Y/N missed.
It was a good thing there was about one hundred and fifty of everything, because the food was chomped through quickly. The younger kids got the Minecraft birthday cake while the adults got another large side cake that was a simple vanilla cake with vanilla icing, with frosted flowers in the colours of blue, purple, and pink.
Presents were given to Jimmy and it took him nearly an hour to get through all eighty gifts.
Then the kids dispersed off to play the various games that Steve and Y/N had set up for them to play while Sam helped pull the Pinata out.
Elizabeth leaned into Bucky and murmured, "I love you."
"I love you too doll." Bucky murmured back.
And yet. . .
There was still someone missing.

HEIMDALL WATCHED BELOW AS HIS FAMILY enjoyed the birthday party of Elizabeth and Y/N's younger brother. He stood as he always did, back straight, hands on his sword, gazing. The ability to see the future and the present had always been a mix between a curse and a gift. He could not physically be there as he had to guard the Bifrost, but at least he could see.
He was mostly keeping a specific eye on Elizabeth. She was carrying twins once again. One being James Barnes' and the other being his. He had never imagined he would have a family, not like that anyways. And now he did.
But he could hardly spend time away from the Bifrost gate. This was his job, his duty. And he wondered if he wouldn't have been better off staying out of the family. Watching, instead of participating on the rare occasion. He would almost never get to see his child with the job he held.
"You're still here." Queen Frigga's voice said behind him.
"Of course your majesty." Heimdall said slowly without turning to look at the Queen. "I would never abandon my post."
"Heimdall." Queen Frigga said softly. "I know that. And so does Odin. But today is a very special occasion in Midgard. I thought you would be down there with the others."
"I am watching." Heimdall answered, seeing Elizabeth place her head on Bucky's shoulder. Y/N shrieked as Clint pretend to shoot her with a water gun before Thor came to her rescue.
"It is not the same." Queen Frigga said softly. "Go, Heimdall. We are not going to be attacked any time soon, you know this."
"I cannot." Heimdall said with difficulty. "There is no one to take my place."
Queen Frigga's hand landed on his muscular arm and he finally looked at her. "Then consider this a command from the Queen to put your sword and helmet down for a few hours. Go, be with your wives and husbands. You are a part of that family too. This is what we fought for. Now go."
Heimdall slowly put the Bifrost sword to the side and lifted the golden helm from his head to put down on the dais behind him. "I will not be long." He said, reaching for the Bifrost sword, but met nothing but air.
"On the contrary." Queen Frigga said softly. "You're going to be there for a long time. Tell Elizabeth, Y/N, and my sons that I said hello."
Heimdall watched as Queen Frigga turned the sword and he was sucked backwards into the vortex. He was surprised and also slightly panicked as without the sword, he had no way to get back. But he knew she had planned it like that, just as he had seen.
He landed on his feet on the farm and the others turned to look in surprise, and then he watched as their faces turned from surprise to happiness.
Thor was the first to embrace and kiss him, before Heimdall was basically surrounded on every side.
Eventually, he made his way through his family to where Elizabeth was now sitting with Hogun. She was glowing as she got up, leaping into his arms, and he caught her easily. He kissed her, before setting her down on her feet and embracing Hogun.
"How long can you stay?" Elizabeth asked eagerly as Heimdall knelt to put a hand against the bump that was his child.
'You're going to be there for a long time.' Queen Frigga's voice said in his head.
"As long as our family needs me." He answered. Y/N shrieked in the background as Pietro and Clint resumed their water gun game.
Elizabeth beamed. "You're going to be here for a long time then." She laughed.
He chuckled.
Yes he was.
A very long time.
And they would all. . .
. . . live happily ever after.

My favorite menu items that I tried from Jollibee:
Before I tried Jollibee in my country last year, I did some research about the restaurant on Wikipedia by finding out what foods they have on the menu compared to the Philippines.
Without further ado, let's get started!
Jolly Sweet Spaghetti: This is one of my go-to menu items whenever I get stressed out. When I ordered the Jolly Sweet Spaghetti from their menu, I wanted to know what it tasted like compared to Filipino traditional spaghetti.
When my food arrived, I wanted to know what this dish tasted like compared to the Filipino version of Jolly Spaghetti. This meal was topped with sweet banana ketchup, savory tomato sauce, red beef hotdogs, and cheddar cheese. As for the spaghetti, it was perfectly al-dente, and the pasta did not get soggy when it came with the set.
Overall, the Malaysian version of the sweet-style spaghetti is better than the other restaurant's version of spaghetti in the Philippines which the sauce has a not-so-sweet taste and the sausages are not as flavorful as the beef and pork-flavored sausages.
Tumblr media
Peach Mango Pie:
One of my favorite snacks from Jollibee is this sweet hot filling of Filipino mangoes with peach slices in this deep-fried pastry which makes it a tasty treat right after a meal.
I used to dislike mangoes back in my middle school years. However, when I started to buy the dried version of mangoes, it tasted sweet and not too sour for my liking.
As I got older, I started to like mangoes and they had a gummy-like texture with sugar that had a sweet crunch.
The blended mango filling in the pie was sweet and not too sour. As for the bits of peach, it was delicious when mixed together and put in a pie. I love this hot dessert and when I go to Bukit Bintang, I would eat it again when the final exams are over.
Tumblr media
Fiesta Floats:
Did you know that they had a different type of Fiesta Floats topped with a perfect swirl of Vanilla ice cream that encouraged buyers to try a summer treat in the Philippines back in the 2010s?
Unfortunately, you can only find these three types of floats here in Malaysia. While in the Philippines, it's popular among Filipinos who want to get a refreshing drink during the summer break.
Two months ago, after New Year's Day, I wanted to order one of the Fiesta Floats at the kiosk in Sunway Pyramid as a refreshing drink for myself due to us getting lost in the mall. But I saw that the drinks were sold out due to a shortage of ingredients.
A week later, after the tour of the B-Verse Beyond the Stars Exhibition, I went to another restaurant in Pavilion Bukit Jaili where I saw that all of the Floats were available on their menu.
I was delighted that they still serve the drink to everyone who wants to buy it. I ordered a Chocolate Float for me to try it out. However, it does not look the same as the one in the picture, but the staff members did their best to make a perfect swirl of vanilla ice cream.
The chocolate drink wasn't sweet, and I could only taste the chocolate inside the milk that had an okay taste as I drank a sip. As for the vanilla ice cream swirl, it wasn't that bad for my liking as seen in the commercial on Facebook. Next time if the drink is not sweet, I will tell the manager to add more chocolate milk for the drink.
Tumblr media
Overall, I could suggest to the locals who want to try out these foods from this Filipino fast-food restaurant in Malaysia. As for the Philippines, it is not recommended to Muslims as some of the products are not permissible for them to eat.
If I have time, I could bring one of my friends to try this restaurant out for a treat after class to explore what fast food spaghetti tastes like compared to other kinds of pasta in restaurants.

I'm gonna send you some ✨🌟⭐💫 for the ask game!
Thank you!!
So, hmm...
I think I'll give commentary on two things here - one for my Skyrim fic The Perfect Storm, and the other for my Oblivion fic With light comes shadow!
The Perfect Storm
Hehe, so, I think here I'll go on about something simple but that I love bringing into the fic - Elyse has a sweet tooth.
There have been numerous occasions during which she's been chatting to someone or doing something all whilst munching away at something sweet, or was about to do so.
For example:
Chapter 5:
Elyse reached into the bag which she had with her and pulled out one of the apples, ready to eat it before returning home. She didn’t expect to get a sudden tap on her shoulder, which made her flinch before promptly throwing the apple at her ‘assailant’.
Maybe I should clarify that it's a red apple, because they're sweeter (and I've always found green apples too sour - I've only ever used them to make apple sauce with heapings of sugar!!!)
Chapter 8:
Elyse had to stifle a yawn as she nodded in response to Farengar’s questions as she sat – very much reluctantly – with the court mage. "I haven’t had reason to," she muttered, now reaching out for a sweetroll she had been trying to eat for quite some time.
And
The questions were really starting to build up by that point, so she decided that enough was enough, and that he could wait for a few moments before he would get his answers. She grabbed the sweetroll, and took as big of a mouthful as she could manage without ending up spitting out crumbs as she ate, holding up one of her fingers to let him know that he would have to be patient.
Elyse has priorities and Farengar's questions aren't one of them.
Chapter 11:
In what was a stroke of luck, he quietened down when dessert was served. But then again, who could focus on anything other than a warm, freshly baked cake drizzled with cream and snowberries when such a delight was put out before them?
As she was finishing her last mouthful of her cake, Elyse found herself being tapped on the shoulder by the boy, a look which seemed almost pleading on his face. "Tell him! Tell father that I can join in next time that you help to train the guards!"
It suddenly felt really hard to continue chewing as she felt both Frothar and Balgruuf’s eyes upon her.
Chapter 17:
"Do... you remember when you saw Nelkir talking to me the other day?” She glanced at him for a moment, until he nodded, before continuing. “He said some strange things to me," she whispered as her hands wrapped around the mug of tea which had not long been poured for her.
It's not mentioned here but is something I am going to add in when I get to editing this chapter, but that tea most certainly has sugar in it.
And in the upcoming chapter 18, Elyse will be spending a decent amount of time eating fruit tarts. And here's a little excerpt from when Balgruuf realises that she has a sweet tooth:
When she returned, it was with a half-eaten tart in her hand, steam escaping from the filling as she went to take another bite. It was only then that he began to pick up on the scent she had been going on about – it was most certainly from the tart, and it had to have been freshly baked.
“So... You like sweet foods, hm?”
She raised an eyebrow at him as though he were mad for asking such a question. “Of course I do! Sweetrolls, cake, tarts, candies, berries... How could I not?”
Elyse loves her sweet stuff! Her favourite thing though is strawberries, which are abundant in Cyrodiil but not so much in Skyrim. She can settle for things like snowberries though.
With light comes shadow
So, in the one whole chapter I have posted so far, one of the key points is that Florian has a lucky septim from his first properly successful theft. I've already gone on before about how after he loses it he eventually finds himself a new lucky Septim (Martin), so I'm not going to go on about that again, but instead go on about the fact that things being like a coin will be a massive metaphor in this fic!
Both Florian and Drissa are opposite sides of a coin, one is heads, one is tails. One is a criminal, the other is a rule-following, lauded public figure in the arena. One sticks to the shadows to avoid being caught, the other is in the spotlight.
From the moment Florian loses his coin, it is as though the metaphorical coin has been flipped for the pair. His life changes for good, for the better - he becomes not just a hero, but a champion, and even finds love and starts having hope for the future. Drissa's life changes for the worst, but she begins to welcome this darkness as she seeks revenge for her arrest and finds herself in the Dark Brotherhood, but still has to suffer through more and more as she keeps losing what she wants to hold close. But both of them accept these changes by the end of the fic... So perhaps there's a chance for a happy ending for them both? Hehe.
