Two religious horror media that centers around a small isolated place that was implied to be religiously devoted and that some people stay away from due to bad events that transpired. These media have several characters and themes in common; A cult, a troubled youth who was forcefully turned into a member of a cult, a gruff foreign protector who opposes the main character, a demonic being that "saved" the main character, an overtly religious and avid follower of a cult, and most importantly, the priest main character who tasks themselves with saving the life of a specific person by any means necessary. At some point, they lost sight of reality, perceiving grotesque figures as biblical creatures, and they've also lost the trust of their Parish. They also have an old companion that they try to desperately save from completely losing their sense of selves. The priests are also named John and are over 6'1

Oh and they've killed someone with their bare hands when they got lost in the sauce

I had to say goodbye to this 14 yo. sweet, grumpy, cuddly, patient, and loud purring machine a week ago.

He was doing so fucking well for the last two years all things considered and then he rapidly declined in the last 4-5 days. I am terribly sad and distressed, partially even more so because I had to make the decision quickly and had to leave town the next morning.

Shnuckie deserved so much better than he got. I'm still furious with my mom that she declawed him when he was little because of how much that disabled his life. I tried so hard to keep him happy despite knowing he had chronic pain. I do wish I had explored more pain-management and general health options with the vets a lot earlier than I did... but live and learn I guess.

Despite my struggles with his thick fucking coat that got everywhere, and showed on EVERYTHING, cause he hated being brushed; Shnuckie was enormously faithful and a loving companion to me and Angel. He liked his independence, but really enjoyed a cuddle too. I'm so glad I got to experience taking him outside so he could graze on grass and sunbathe for his last year and a half. I am also so grateful to this man for being my emotional support kitty, and white noise maker when trying to sleep (even if it was very loud and did not have an off switch, bless his heart). He had the best resting bitch face even when he was so clearly enjoying himself. He had such a presence and personality about him that just glowed - a lot like his fur lol

I'm really going to miss this special man... I am very glad I took so many photos, but wish I'd taken more videos of him enjoying the outside and purring. Take more videos of your cats y'all, you will thank yourself.

“New Jersey Five Base secure, over. I need Highway west 350 cleared immediately!” Captain Ochre said putting his his foot down.

“SIG.”

Blue nodded and tapped his earpiece.

“Hold on Scarlet. we’re coming.”

“No!” Scarlet snapped back over the radio. “You all need to stay there. You know that!”

“Not this time, Captain.” Blue replied.

“You don’t know what I can do!” Scarlet stressed.

“Doesn’t mean we’re gonna leave you, captain.” Ochre scowled.

Scarlet didn’t reply immediately.

“Captain Scarlet? Are you still there?” Blue tried.

“There’s a field, west of you ahead half a mile. I'm pulling into it to get away from the traffic.” Scarlet said. There was a crunch of gravel, and Blue could imagine the red salon bouncing with the off-road terrain.

“we’re on-route.” Blue said, “and will be there shortly.”

“No. Stay where you are and keep the road clear. And stay back!”

“I will have visual on both Captain scarlet’s car in one minute.” Destiny Angel put in but was talked over by Captain Blue.

“Captain Scarlet you’re hurt!”

“I'm fine. …but- what do we do? What if this-” Scarlet, was not normally one for sounding worried about himself. To hear him do so was terrifying and caused more then one slight falter and wobble.

 “I don’t want to die. Not like this! I didn’t want to come off the road again but not like- ”

“Where is Captain Scarlet? What’s the devil is going on?” White interrupted in Blue’s piece.

Up in Cloud Base, there was silence  on the line for long enough to annoy the cornel before Blue spoke again.

“Taking evasive action. We saved the base but the Mystron agent made physical contact with Scarlet before it died. it did something to him.”

“Something?” frowned their commander.

“And then Scarlet started smoking. Like Captain Brown did.” Ochre finished.

White didn’t have finish his order before Green was pinpointing the area and announcing the other Angels to scramble to the immediate launch, along with a medic helicopter. And the Bomb squad.

“Approaching the road now Scarlet.” Blue said.

“You’re not getting yourselves killed for me! None of you! You need to stay away! If that blast could level a building-!” Scarlet called. “j- Destiny you too; there could be flying debris and god knows what!”

“But Scarlet-!” Destiny argued.

“I said go!”

“Deep breaths, man. You’re panicking. All of you do as he says!” White said. “Retain a wide radius of the area until I say so. Captain Scarlet? You’ve done enough. Let us coordinate from here on in.

“S I G.” came over three different ways, lighting up the rotating desk. “S I G” came the forth, breaking up.

 “Scarlet? Tell me exactly what happened.” The Cornel said in a bark. No answer. “Scarlet? Paul? Can you hear me?”

“..Yes... Sir. The smoke- the smoke’s so thick.”

Scarlet’s reply was so weak he just hoped it was a transmission error.

“What happened down there Scarlet? Help will be with you shortly.”

“Jetsan, Blue shot him but- he ignored the base. They deviated from their plan. he ran at me. put his hands on my face. And it was green and burning. And in my head, I heard-” Scarlet tried but it was cut off by the coughing.

“It burns!”  he said again gagging. Then croaked, “Adam?”

“I’m here! We can both hear you.” Blue said. “Just keep talking.”

There was a deep intake of breath. “I- I’m sorry-!” Scarlet gasped.

Then the radio blew, crackled, and died. Both the colour captains and Destiny Angel were forced to report back the fiery explosion. With no way of anyone knowing if or how Captain Scarlet could come back from this one.

What would happen if some mad scientist decided to combine the Xenomorphs from the Alien franchise, the Death Angels from A Quiet Place, and the White Spikes from The Tomorrow War? Perhaps one of the deadliest aliens you could possibly face.  Got the idea after seeing The Tomorrow War and YouTube videos (primary from a user named Alteori) comparing and contrasting the White Spikes from that movie with the aforementioned Xenomorphs and Death Angels.  Each of them have their own strengths and weakness so I asked myself if I was an evil scientist, how could I combine the three of them to create the greatest alien army in the know universe.  This is the result.   I don't have a catchy name for it yet but this creature has the all environment athleticism of the White Spikes along with their projectile firing tentacles, gliding membranes, and impressive coordination and tactical abilities.  It's body inherits the virtually indestructible exoskeleton and claws of the Death Angels as well as their superior sense of hearing.  The one weakness the Death Angels have, their inability to swim, is counteracted by the White Spike athleticism (the tentacles and tail aid in water propulsion).  Along with some distinguishing physical features such as the elongated head, secondary mouth, and spear-tipped tail, it inherited the Xenomorphs extraordinary senses, intelligence, molecular acidic blood, and the ability to survive/adapt to virtually any environment, including the vacuum of space.   These creatures would also have queens like both the Xenomorphs and White Spikes do (might design one in the future) but thanks to the White Spike genes, they won't need hosts to reproduce like the Xenomorphs do though they would still be capable of producing face hugger offspring to gain usefully genes from planets they invade.  How would they be controlled?  Probably a combination of neural implants and pheromones though as these sci-fi horror movies go, those may not be entirely foolproof. The Alien franchise belongs to 20th Century Studios (and by extension Disney), A Quiet Place belongs to Paramount Studios, and The Tomorrow War belongs to Amazon. something i’ve been thinking about lately is like. growing up muslim right after 9/11 is something i’d never really reflected on much because it was all i’d ever known — at 5, my friend’s mum didn’t let her invite me to her birthday party because i was the only brown girl in our class, at 12, my classmates would joke about my family being part of isis, at 16, my dad was interrogated by american airport security for hours — and it always stung and it always hurt but it was just the way things were because the western world hated muslims. but i don’t think i’ve ever fully comprehended the extent to which we were hated until now.

palestine is being turned into a mass graveyard. every single day there are new photos of the atrocities being carried out against them and videos of them pleading for help and still those who can actually intervene turn a blind eye. israel is claiming to only be targeting hamas “terrorists” while bombing a refugee camp. israeli police raided and assaulted a non-zionist jewish neighbourhood. israeli soldiers are posting tiktoks of them torturing captured palestinians. this is not a complicated issue and it never has been. ethnic cleansing is being committed right in front of us. and yet the western world leaders refuse to call for a ceasefire.

and while zionist organisations accuse pro-palestine demonstrations of anti-semitism, while zionist celebrities insist that they’re afraid to leave their mansions in los angeles, a six year old muslim boy was stabbed to death and his mother wounded in the same attack in chicago. a muslim doctor was murdered while sitting outside her apartment complex in texas. hundreds of peaceful protesters have been arrested (many of whom have been jewish). despite what zionists want you to believe, this is not a jewish/muslim conflict. i have so much love and gratitude to my brave jewish brothers and sisters all over the world who are condemning israel for their actions.

ultimately, israel have been granted impunity by the west. they have slaughtered thousands upon thousands of innocent palestinians. they have bombed hospitals and schools indiscriminately. they have used white phosphorus, violating the geneva convention. they have completely eradicated nearly 900 bloodlines. how many more need to be wiped out? how many more children need to be buried underneath the rubble? how many more doctors need to be confronted with the bodies of their own family members? how many more journalists need to detail the horrific acts of violence they are witnessing? what more can be done to the palestinian people that has not been done already?

i truly believe that palestine will be free one day. i believe the palestinian people will receive the justice they finally deserve. but what breaks my heart is how much they have suffered and will continue to suffer before they are deemed worthy of help. and it would be to all of our detriment if we ignored how much of a factor palestine being a predominantly muslim state has played into the way the world has reacted to their genocide.
