granada holmes ep "the mazarin stone" was dumb as fuck but pretty fast-paced and funny. too bad holmes isnt in it so i kinda didnt give a fuck. it was very amusing to see mycroft in disguise tho. the ending was hilarious it was like a dramatic shot of sherlock like "brother of mine...bravo." and he was in this dramatically lit dark space it was so weird. arcade n i were like Wha the fuck
So, as a sceptical witch, I see no further meaning to sigils than a way of improving or heightening my motivation/feelings. For me, writing down what I want to improve, drawing it out in this special way, and then 'charging' it, really helps me.
My method sigils making is as follows:
Draw a letter chart. 1 - 9 across the top, with the alphabet written left to right underneath it. The last box of column 9 will be empty. I then block out the vowels in their spaces.
Next, I will write down what I would like to do/feel, as if I was that in the moment. For example, "I am happy."
Then, I will remove all vowels, and repeating letters from those sentences. So, for the above it would end up being, "MHPY."
Using my letter chart, I will then match the letters to the numbers. "MHPY" being "4877."
Following on, I'll draw a 3 by 3 grid. I will then write 1 - 9 in the grid, starting with 1 in the bottom right square, and writing 2 and 3 going upwards. 4 goes in the bottom middle, 5 and 6 follow upwards. Repeating for the left column, 7 in the bottom, 8 and 9 following upwards.
I will then draw my sigil. A circle will always be used as a start, you then draw a straight line to the next number, and then the next, and so on. If I ever have a repeating number, I will draw a little bump, and carry on. When you are finished, draw a straight line at the end of the last line.
And there you go, you've created a sigil! However, we want these to have an effect, so we need to charge them. What I do, is redraw the sigil on kitchen roll or toilet paper with a felt tip or highlighter, while reciting the sentence/affirmation. I will then dip the paper in a bowl of water, letting the ink run off the paper. I will then squeeze the water out of the paper, and shove the wet left-over into a bottle. I will then water my plants with the coloured water (this does not hurt the plant) or I will leave the bowl on my windowsill overnight.
Hope you enjoyed this sharing of my method. Feel free to use this too! I didn't come up with this, I used a bunch of different methods and combined them. Do whatever works for you guys! Blessed be, babes.
I’ve managed to take a whole woodland mansion for myself before diamond and it is my greatest achievement even if I broke in and set up shop in an abandoned upstairs
Some of the props I made for my Tutu many many years ago!
Top left: The wings. Made from steel gauge wire and organza (for that nice glittery finish). I sewed the edges over the wire, then added a small white felt piece with feathers (not pictured here) to go over the adjoining wire loop between the wings. The whole thing is light enough to be safety pinned onto the tutu.
Bottom left: I took a little artistic liberty to add some detailing to the crown. It's made from craft foam, hot glue, and pearls, and I added a little comb to attach it to her wig.
Right: Tutu's very specifically shaped fan. It was impossible to modify a regular folding fan, and the ones that do work like that don't come in such a design, so I ended up making it from scratch by cutting holes out of really, really thick cardboard. To create the illusion of 'spokes', I painted cast shadow lines along them.
Pendant: Crafted entirely by me from a whole lot of materials such as craft foam, ribbon, wire, resin, nail polish, rings. I wanted it to look as authentic and as pretty as possible, so I decided to forgo using clay (a material I'm far more familiar with), and instead what looked more like jewellery. I made all the gems out of resin, because shop bought gems were likely to be oddly faceted, and because I wanted them all to be size proportionate. The clear blue wings were also made from resin; I'm so glad it worked and is now blue and transparent and pretty ;w;
The gold wire was originally very yellow and gaudy (as seen in the first pic), so I sprayed it over with a warmer gold and then painstakingly began to cut and bend them into shape, sanding the edges so they wouldn't cut my poor Tutu's skin when she wore it. I've never done such tiny jewellery work before, so it was difficult and fairly painful to get some of the smaller pieces to do exactly what I wanted (gem hanging at the bottom, I'm looking at you). But I succeeded in the end! o/
The base and others are made from layers of craft foam, with nail polish over to make it glittery and shiny (although it doesn't really show up well in photos), because a flat colour would look too plain next to all the shiny gems. Ribbon is just ribbon. I stared at so many reference pictures and COULDN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT ON EARTH THAT THING WAS SUPPOSED TO BE. It looked like strips of hard metal fastened about her neck at first, but when she took it off at the dramatic-wails-no-Ahiru-WHY episode it fell like soft ribbons. Argh.
Hello. If you look back over my posts you'll see I have stated several times that I'm going to try to return to this blog and post more often here. Well, guess what, this is another one of those posts, lol
You see, I hyperfixate on things. And the subject of my hyperfixation for the past year or so has been Pokemon Scarlet/Violet. I've been talking about it and posting fanfic on my fandom blog for the past year. That's why it's been difficult for me to break away. It kind of absorbs all my focus in my free time.
But it's a new year and a good excuse to re-double my efforts to make my life a little more balanced.
I'm going to start with crafts. Gonna try to do more of those again. I'd like to make more keychains and I also want to return to experimenting with making soap. Also picked up some 'Diamond Art' kit just to try it out since I see those darn things everywhere. And I might do something with Perler Beads again.
I will keep you all posted on my progress. I'll be using the #mycrafts tag for it. :)
