We've started solids! I don't know who's more excited me or Leo!! After our dietician appointment on Monday we got the thumbs up to start Leo on some root vegetables. Yesterday was carrot and tonight was butternut squash. Over 5 months (nearly 6!) with this little chap and we're hoping to start weaning next week. Eek! I've been reading up about it and I really like the ethos of baby led weaning. A friend recommended 'The Gentle Sleep Book' to help solve our lack of sleep woes. I've only read snippets but it's really helped to understand why Leo might not be sleeping so well at different stages of his development. One of the tips is to introduce a comforter that smells of you, so for the past week I've slept with Leo the Lion down my top. As a sleep deprived parent you'll do anything so fingers crossed Leo the Lion helps us. Friday fun days with my little play mate ♡ We've taken it slow and steady this week as I've been determined to pace myself and stop the constant rushing around. It's been good for us both, my blood pressure has eased and Leo seems to have slept better. We're going to start weaning soon so I'm trying to get us into more of a routine. This weekend we're off to Newcastle to see Steve's Dad and show Leo the sea again. I'm looking forward to some sea air too. Always got his hands in his mouth! ♡ . It's been a tough couple of weeks as we've all had colds and Leo's developed full blown red and blotchy eczema 😔 After rubbish advice from Pharmacist, Health Visitor and first Doctor we have finally got some help with it and are testing out a few creams whilst I monitor what I'm eating and cut out all dairy/soya. I've not really felt great about things so haven't been hanging out online as much. I'm still here, just looking after the important things and not posting as much. Evening bath routine with my favourite 🖤 Leo's looking quite docile in this photo from a couple of weeks ago whereas current bath times aren't always so peaceful. This boy is going to be unstoppable when he can crawl (he's nearly turning over now). . He's also constantly chomping on his hand so we think he's in the early stages of teething.
