Finally uploaded the missing chapter of "Sheepdog" to AO3! Please check it out!
“It’s not a problem. It’s great. It’s really, really great”
“But?”
“This all feels like it’s happening so fast. I mean we never even talked about whether we wanted a family. And then the attack today. I just…”
“Well the attack was relevant. I should tell you that. I think what that person stabbed me with was some kinds of hormones. But I don’t know. I’d been thinking about this. Personally, I could have gone either way. We could have kept living like a pair of upper-crust hypocrites indefinitely, and I would have been fine with that. But at the same time, I wonder where I’m going to be twenty years out, and sometimes I think a shelf full of awards wouldn’t be enough to look back on. Honestly, I’d resigned myself that if it happens, it happens. And it… well…” she vaguely gestured to herself.
“I mean I know how much ‘traditional’ bores you. And hey! That makes two! But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have my fingers crossed things would land this way. You know, you say you’re going to make your life about your career, traveling all over the world, living the life of danger, to everyone remaining a stranger, other song lyrics. But then WHAM! You fall in love before you even realize it, and you start to rethink; Hey! The big house, and the two-point-five kids, and the white picket fence, and the dog named Spot. Maybe I can do it. Maybe cliche isn’t so bad. Maybe the thought of losing them is too painful to make straying from home worth it”
She looked at him with concern.
“Please… keep it” He glanced down at his shoes “I mean it’s your body, and I respect that, so you have the final word on this. But please. It would break my heart”
“What? Jimmy, no. It’s not about that. I’m not… You’re right. This is a lot to get our heads around. But we have plenty of time for that. And right now I’m too fucking hungry to think about it” She made her way over to the kitchen and started poking through the cabinets “What do you want? I don’t think i can handle fish right now. I could make spaghetti, but we’re out of sauce. What about pancakes? We can do a breakfast-for-dinner thing”
“Uh sure. Whatever you want. Breakfast, dinner, lunch”
Kim turned around “Are you sure YOU’RE okay? You look kind of pale”
“Never been better” He flashed her a tentative smile. “We’re really doing this thing?”
She leaned against the cabinets with her arms folded. She beamed at her husband confidently “Hell yeah”
Reluctant to sit down on the couch, he hastily proffered one last comment. “You’re gonna be a great mom”
She stopped whisking the batter and peered out into the living room. Without warning, her eyes had started to mist ever so slightly. “Thanks.” she answered matter-of-factly, and then realized the polite thing to do would have been to return the compliment. But she discovered she couldn’t hand out such accolades so liberally. When she wasn’t sure if it was true.

I find it very hard to believe that a group of space engineers sent men and women into space for a 2 year mission and didn't take contraceptives into account. so either kelly is pregnant because of some mars shit that cancels out whatever contraceptives she was on or this is a deeply frustrating plothole. I think it's more likely to be the former but either way I fucking hate pregnancy plots. they're almost never interesting to me and I don't want them in my space race au please and thank you

Hi asking this unironically but for your Raven is actually Ruby’s other parent w/ Summer have you given any thought to how Ruby is literally conceived? Are we talking IVF or some other form of assisted reproductive technology? Is summer trans? (Based)
So I've touched on this a few times already in a number of my Rosebird Parents theory posts, but what it boils down to is that I feel the specific 'mechanics' of how Ruby was conceived aren't actually all that important. This is a modern/near-future high-fantasy setting after all, so there are any number of means the writers could use to explain Summer and Raven conceiving Ruby.
One particular note I will mention that I've brought up elsewhere is that I do think it's safe to assume that Summer was probably the one who got pregnant, as that both simplifies Raven staying away from the team and also gives Summer much better plausible deniability as to who Ruby's 'father' is, especially if Qrow is not meant to know (for sure at least) that Raven is Ruby's other parent.
As far as any personal favorite ideas that I would be hoping for, I will say I do really like the idea of Summer and Raven conceiving Ruby via magic. Simply because the whole 'hero born through some weird/mystical/magical pregnancy' is such a classic folklore and mythology trope that it feels only natural that RWBY would do a take on it at some point. And who better to explore it with then their main heroine?

mystical pregnancy trope my beloved, womb horror trope my beloved. the inherent creepiness of having another life form developing inside you and taking nutrients from you. and its doing Things. just a fucking weird ass fetus. the anxiety and fear that goes along with that. like yes pregnancy can be a beautiful thing, of course, but idk man horror just pairs well with pregnancy.

i really loved collective and i think im gonna enjoy the rest of the borg children plotline, which is interesting bc turning female characters into mothers is such a pitfall for sexist writing. it so often leads to reducing them down to warm nurturing feminine and very little else or otherwise bending their entire existence around their children, often to the detriment of their emotional depth and competence especially when they didnt show those traits beforehand. star trek is guilty of multiple mystical pregnancy plotlines (some more forgivable than others) which is one of the worst tropes when it comes to wielding motherhood as a weapon against female characters, so there's a precedent for thinking this was gonna go badly.
but honestly it felt like collective dodged all of those bullets. the idea of seven adopting the borg children isnt properly raised until nearly the end, when janeway disagrees with sevens assumption that neelix should be responsible for them and suggests that seven should do it instead. it doesnt feel as tho seven is being pushed towards a more conformist idea of womanhood and femininity for the sake of others comfort like in someone to watch over me, it feels like this is a genuinely interesting challenge that suits her as a character and shows her in more depth. the scene when icheb touches her hair and says its the same colour as his mothers, and although seven had been trying to get him to remember his family she visibly wasnt prepared for that... heartwrenching
obviously ive only seen one episode out of what i assume is going to be a whole arc but i'd say so far this plotline is more comparable to the trope of a stoic grizzled man ending up with custody of a child and slowly learning to open up than the much less enjoyable trope of a complex nuanced female character having her rough edges sanded down to turn her into a cardboard cutout of a nurturing mother.

I love your love for Pero!! What is your favorite trope for that lovely, grumpy man??
Tumblr media
AHHH i really do omg he gets so overlooked and it makes me sad 😭
i'll be honest, i'll read pretty much anything when it comes to pero lmao like, even things i didn't think i would normally enjoy? like, i've read kidfics/pregnancy fics with him (which is a huge ick for me normally), i've read monsterfucking, i've read time travel, modern au, literally anything lmao
but i think my favorite is when there's a little bit of magic or mysticism involved. i love watching this grumpy, hardened fighter be faced with something he can't control/understand. something he can't take care of with his blade. i love seeing all facets of his character. we only got so much in the movie (which is a guilty pleasure if i'm honest, i thought it was fun and matt damon was easy to ignore for me lol) we only saw him in one small part of his life that heightened emotions i'm sure he doesn't deal with all the time. i just know he's got his soft/vulnerable moments once in a while. i'm actually writing something for him that kind of deals with this.
so, basically, i wanna see him in like, any and every scenario lol

Trope Rating Tag game
Tagged by @monsterrae1 ta love 💕
Rules: How much do these tropes affect your decision to click on a fic?
-10 -> very dissuaded
0 - don’t care either way
+10 -> very enticed
nope -> if it’s a hard no and you’d never click on a fic with that tag or or you even have the tag blocked or you’d insta click out of the fic if it wasn’t tagged.
Bonus points for explaining the rating and whether it’s conditional.
Age gap -2
but what’s a gap? not that keen if there’s a really big one 20+ years but otherwise depending on age of people involved my feelings on it are variable
Codependency +7
Love it! these fools need each other
Obsession/possession, jealousy +6
If it’s done right it’s excellent but not in a creepy way - jealous and sad not jealous and possessive unless of course the your mine thing is doing it for the other person and lead to hot sex.
Oposites (grumpy/sunshine, etc) +8
A classic what’s not to like
Enemies to lovers, enemies with benefits +10
A winner all round, you get tension and drama and the oh god I like them, like them moment
Friends with benefits +10
Extra points if there’s pining on both sides
Sex to feelings +9
As above
Fake dating/relationship +10
One of my favourites it’s delicious
Friends to lovers +9
I should, I’ve written enough like this
Found family +9
Yup always good love it
Hurt/comfort +8
As long as the hurt isn’t too bad. I’m a bit of a wimp, don’t like to read if the hurt is really significant. I like writing angst more than reading it I think.
Love triangle nope
I agree with Rae who said Make them a throuple! Read some fun macdano throuples fics in my time.
Poly, open relationship +6
Poly more than open
Mistaken/hidden identity 0
Never read it could give it a try
Monsterfucking +7/8

it's been six years and i'm still so mad about the way wynonna earp handled wynonna's pregnancy in s2. like it was honestly some of the laziest, most misogynistic writing i've ever seen on tv and it drives me insane how some of the writers framed it like they'd done something revolutionary just by having a pregnant lead in their action show. as if they didn't write it in a way that completely stripped the character of all agency and choice in the matter.
and listen: i am glad they didn't force melanie to hide her pregnancy while shooting season two when she wasn't comfortable doing that! i'm glad she was able to continue working while pregnant in the way that was best for her body and emotional wellbeing. i'm happy the people in charge went out of their way to accommodate her needs.
but my god, do i hate the way they wrote her pregnancy into the show. it's so badly done and plays into some of the worst, most problematic scifi/fantasy tropes out there.
it's a mystical pregnancy because the family curse needs wynonna to reproduce so there will always be another heir. she doesn't even get to decide how/when to share the news, if at all, with the people in her life because some other magic puts her to sleep and accelerates time so she wakes up very obviously 8 months along, a plot point that also takes away the option of abortion. (not that i think it would've been necessarily ethical to make a pregnant person act out an abortion plot, just that they could've let the character decide against it instead of taking the choice away from her entirely.)
in one episode, her personality does a weird turn where she suddenly starts behaving like a housewife, cooking dinner for doc and caring about what happens to her throw pillows. which isn't to say there's anything inherently wrong with being a housewife or caring about your home's interior design, only that it makes zero sense for this particular character to suddenly show an interest in these things just because she's pregnant now.
to be honest, i don't even know what they could've done differently to make this better. i'm sure they were pressed for time and they had to do something where it made sense for wynonna's character to be visibly pregnant on the show so melanie wouldn't have to hide it. it's possible there was no way to write this that i wouldn't have found supremely uncomfortable to watch.
because ultimately, i did not want to watch this deeply traumatized character be forced to carry an unwanted pregnancy to term, and that's exactly what the narrative did to her. wynonna does not want to be pregnant! she's using two forms of birth control in her effort to avoid it and she weeps in her sister's arms when it becomes clear she'll have to go through with it. i guess we're meant to believe she comes to terms and embraces the idea of motherhood by the end of the season, but i just don't buy that.
i would've preferred to wait an extra year for s2 than have them derail wynonna's character arc so thoroughly so early on in the show, but i realize that's not necessarily realistic from a tv production standpoint. it just bothers me so much that they took a character whose sense of autonomy is already so complicated by trauma and decided to strip it away entirely by putting her through a mystical pregnancy.
and i'm supposed to find it empowering because pregnant action girl.

I know i’ve been dragging stp for the soap opera thing, but in general i am queasy on the entire construction of this for actual genuine reasons. I am an outspoken hater of any kind of bullshit pregnancy trope because bullshit pregnancy tropes Always Always Always in some way negatively effect the pregnant one, so, you know, it always negatively affect the mother’s character (bc main stream media) while the dad just gets to go angst somewhere and Develop.
I mean, this is better than some kind of mystical pregnancy trope crap, there’s no lack of bodily autonomy here in this plot which i am genuinely thankful for, but uhm, for the plot we Have been given they basically threw about 5 different reasons she got pregnant and didn’t tell Picard about it on a wall to see if they stick like spaghetti, no matter what it makes her look like, no matter how absurd any of this is, no matter if some of the reasons listed were proven false by the last two seasons of the same Show this is happening in.
Like, did she really deserve this? Can’t have an adult conversation with the man she’s sleeping with? Can’t set boundaries and just runs away instead? Ditches her entire life and (found) family rather than just... Communicate?
I know i’m not a tng expert here, and I don’t claim to be, but it’s not like i’ve not seen it and really, the biggest thing i recognise from her character is her Voice.
And frankly? This is because they were just looking for a convenient uterus for jean-luc to knock up, had jack shit to do with Beverly. They'd have written this the Exact same way no matter who carried the kid.
That these two are a popular fandom ship and an acknowledged shoulda-woulda-coulda ship in the narrative is just convenient. But none of this shit is about Beverly. This is all entirely about Picard no matter how detrimental it is to anybody else. Beverly is reduced to an incubator to develop Jean-Luc’s??? What??? Exactly???
His ability to be a father? Well, if you’re a believer in that only biological kids are your family then frankly i think all that they had Beverly do already shot That concept in the foot. And like, they can still move forward with that relationship from now, but what Exactly does how Picard reacts to a sudden Adult son who doesn’t actually need him say about him??? Not a lot, tbh. It doesn’t actually force him to change his behaviour to keep him safe bc Jack quite clearly doesn’t need that kind of protection. it doesn’t force him to skip a mission to stay with his kid bc he’s been retired for years sans a few personal projects (one of which was actually Q meddling and he didn’t even choose it.
And if you are a believer in found family, which is what Trek IS really, then Picard has already demonstrated fatherly affection to a great many characters and it’s already said a great deal about him. He’s fucked up sometimes, often in fact, his interactions with children are quite often portrayed up as a negative with him, he’s bad at it, he dehumanises them under the monolith of Children and doesn’t always remember they’re all individual People (which is what that scene with baby elnor and him was saying), and Hilariously this wasn’t actually on the list of reasons Beverly didn’t fill him in. Fab. I’d have actually taken that one at face value.
But i digress, the man Has shown fatherhood. He was fatherly with Elnor and Agnes. It DID show things about his character!!!! The idea that to show this man in a context of fatherhood requires co-opting some woman’s uterus to cook up a secret love child is absurdist and goes against any found family ethos there IS, and the reason we like our trek show families is because they are found families. A few of them include pseudo parental relationships, and in a few of those, picard has been cast as dad already.
You Already showed me how Picard would be as a parent to an adult. I don’t need you to do it again with biology because apparently this matters more, and i certainly don’t need to see it in such a way that screws over the first convenient woman of child bearing age you thought of.
so yeah. it’s a soap opera. But i am actually angry for real reasons that aren’t petty. Beverly is more than convenient mom no.1. Didn’t need that scene with the Deanna holo, either, really. Because now even Her uterus is being brought into Picard’s sudden love child story to tell us something about the old man.
I have seen Picard be dad like. I do not need biology for this. Not only is this plot insulting, but it’s also unnecessary to boot. And I know tng is touch and go with the women in it, but can we have moved on from that by 2023? No? apparently not.

top 5 characters with your zodiac sign (stolen from you), top 5 wlw pjo/hoo ships, top 5 tropes that you love and top 5 that you hate
top 5 characters with your zodiac sign (stolen from you), top 5 wlw pjo/hoo ships, top 5 tropes that you love and top 5 that you hate
5 characters with my zodiac sign I could only think of three canon Taurus chars I love so the last two I counted headcanons for, and neither of those characters has a canon birth date
canon taureans
•Hope Mikaelson (TVDu) ((I do see the arguments Ares sun fits her better but I think Taurus sun with other fire placements also fits her quite nicely and again I don’t have a lot of favorite characters with my sign let me have this lol)•Dan Wilds (Aftg) and we share a birthday!
•Emily Fields (technically in the Pll books she’s a Taurus and going off her show bday she’s a Scorpio but I do think that Taurus sun fits show Emily better overall too and Ik when we discussed this you agreed with me :))
And then two characters I’ve always seen as Taurus are Blue Sargent (Trc) and Marina Andrieski (The Magicians)
Top 5 wlw pjo/hoo ships
 Pipeyna
Pipabeth
Reynabeth
Rueguard
this could be one of a couple ships depending on my mood but I’m going with Thalia x Zoe rn because it’s very underrated imo
Top 5 tropes I love (didn’t want to agonize over ranking these so bullet points again) •enemies to friends to lovers or any iteration on these things (lovers to enemies, friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, reluctant allies to friends to lovers etc.) •doppelgängers, shadow selves and dynamics between a hero and their shadow selves can be a romance can be enemies etc. •anything to do with parallel worlds •the overachiever girl from a seemingly perfect (and this mean different things) background who struggles to fulfill familial expectations, is actually very unhinged at times and has some sort of spiral where she ends up off her original path at least for a while, and part of the subtext is usually about her repressed sapphic ness a la Spencer Hastings / Annie Edison / Julia Wicker
•the mean girl character who is originally set against the protagonist but as the story progresses she’s shown to be sympathetic and layered in her own right, and her relationship with the protagonist is allowed to develop into at least respect maybe friendship that’s usually pretty homoerotic. honorable mention to this specific flavor of opposites attract dynamics that’s like ‘on the surface we could not be more different but we can relate/connect/are actually more similar than anyone else when it comes to very specific things that aren’t obvious. And not really a trope which is why I didn’t include them but I love fantasy stories about witches and/or vampires. Also I can’t lie I do love a magical school setting. Codependent relationships in general. Sister stories!!! LOVE those. Bottle episodes and bottle episode adjacent episodes my beloved!! I have a lot of favorite tropes actually Top 5 tropes I hate
insta love I have exceptions and these exceptions are like, reincarnation stories such as dosab where there’s a reason for it and Rue x Jules because they simply had the range/chemistry. But usually I hate it. Also combining this with any fated/pre-destined/other forces or people are always telling the audience this pairing is meant to be without doing the work of showing/developing the relationship to be appealing/seem to work well together
mystical pregnancy, most pregnancy and baby story arcs in general
media concerned with parental/familial issues where all the mothers are demonized while the fathers get to be complicated parents like tm tended to do. Something I found refreshing about watching pll was that it was a total reverse of this with all the fathers being irredeemable monsters and the mothers being more complex
I ranted about this recently re: the va show but I really dislike when a fantasy work has this aspect of metaphorical bigotry as a theme and the characters who voice said bigotry are usually poc
Ik this is solely a fic thing but fucking hate abo lol
Thank you! (Ask me too 5 of anything)

I think I've mentioned this before. I'm just really into alien fpreg.
But also I don't fuck anyone who hasn't seen Better Call Saul and Westworld. Partially because I don't want anyone who doesn't understand my nerd shit. But also I've just found assigning homework is a good way to weed out the guys who aren't serious.
Oh like oviposition?
Sometimes, yeah. I'm into trans women getting pregnant, but not trans men. It's gotta be women.
It's as much a fixation on this trope as a plot device for character study, as it is a kink thing. Like I only got fixated on Kim because you know two pink lines woulda sent her spiraling into existential crisis.
And I think deep existential dread is sexy, apparently

The Vampire Diaries, Ep. 2x06
Plan B
i was deeply afraid that this episode would involve some sort of vampire pregnancy. i am very glad to report that that isn't the case.
we begin the episode by watching elena staring at stefan sleeping, which is a nice role-reversal of the normal vampire tropes. elena's worried about katherine finding out that stefan and elena are faking fighting. katherine is, after all, dangerously unstable and prone to acts of violence. then, i get jump scared by nawm's back tattoo because i did not realize we had switched people. katherine's a biter, unsurprisingly. back at the gilberts', stefan is still drinking from elena, but only from her hands. which continues to be so fucking stupid. the parallels between the couples are very overt. katherine tells nawm that she loves him. i don't believe her. does this mean that we should doubt elena when she tells stefan she loves him?
jeremy and damon are teaming up to become a werewolf hunting machine. they're looking for the moonstone. and fighting with each other.
jenna is being the best character ever.
bonnie feels like she's losing elena after caroline. i think both of them share some blame for the distance between them. the problem is that elena's life is increasingly caught up in vampires and bonnie doesn't want to be dragged into that, no matter how inevitable it is. also, why are they always preparing for a party on this fucking show? every episode is preparing for some sort of event!
ht!!!! ht is here!!!!
we're really running with this aztec curse thing, i guess. personally, i wouldn't have done it like this, but whatever. nawm is going to try to remove the werewolf curse with the moonstone. damon says something surprisingly insightful: 'it's the same book that says a werewolf bite kills a vampire. ignoring it would make me an even bigger idiot.' he's so right. he is an idiot.
meanwhile, caroline and her mom are having a heart to heart, which is lovely! they deserve the bonding, since it seems that they've never really done that even before the vampire thing.
bonnie didn't know elena and stefan were pretending to fight, or fighting at all. she's upset by the distance she's put between herself and her best friend, as well as the distance elena thinks bonnie wants. they've both been pulling away. bonnie makes contact with nawm and sees a vision of katherine. thank goodness, we're figuring this out pretty quick.
damon's telling elena about jeremy and generally being weird and squirrelly. damon also dislikes nawm because 'werewolf thing aside, the guy is a surfer.'
now jeremy and tyler are hanging out because jeremy wants the moonstone now. however, tyler gave it to nawm last episode.
damon asks bonnie for help. he says, 'you're gonna play morality police with me right now?' which is very much what bonnie is doing. i love bonnie, i adore her, and i hate to criticize her, but it's time. bonnie believes that she should have moral authority over what happens in mystic falls. the thing is, though, that there is no completely morally right thing to do. it's impossible to make choices that don't harm anyone, and bonnie's moral straitjacket is only preventing her from minimizing harm and protecting her friends. if we apply a standard metaphor from teen supernatural shows, knowledge of the supernatural world and effectively moving within signals adulthood. bonnie's reluctance to enter this world and to work within it signals a desire to remain a child, an inability to grow up. bonnie then searches nawm's head for the moonstone location. it's in a well.
matt is asking about caroline, but mostly whether she's seeing something new. he is annoying me again.
damon is torturing nawm! it's heavy-duty torture and jeremy is helping. i don't know how to feel about that. jeremy reveals that aconite/wolfsbane is vervain for werewolves. damon uses that knowledge to great advantage. it is at this point that i really wish jeremy would leave because this is really intense torture.
meanwhile, stefan has jumped into the well and all the water is vervain. he is a real dumbass for this move, to be honest. elena is lowered into the water to save stefan and there are also snakes in the water, obviously.
nawm reveals that katherine wants to lift the curse. nawm doesn't want to turn into a wolf anymore and katherine's going to help him because she love him (according to nawm). damon is going to kill nawm. nawm wants to die. damon takes some pity on him as shown by, 'you know, i look at you; i see myself. a less dashing, less intelligent version... i've been where you are. but katherine will only rip your heart out. let me do it for her.' then damon uses his signature move, shoving his hand into a person's chest and pulling their heart out.
jenna and ht are having a lovely evening. anytime people are happy on this show, i get very worried.
caroline's mom claims she is going to keep caroline's secret because caroline is so confident and grown up now. caroline, intelligently, doesn't trust this change of heart. i think it may have been genuine, but i don't know that it could last for a very long time. the sheriff's knowledge is a liability for caroline, but more likely for the salvatore brothers. even if the sheriff doesn't betray caroline, she may betray damon and stefan. the moment where caroline erases her mother's memory was so wonderful. my heart broke. caroline loves her mom so much, and her approval means so much. to sacrifice the thing she has wanted most in the world to keep herself safe is so heartbreaking.
damon's provoking katherine after he killed nawm, which is so quintessentially damon that i want to scream. he is so fucking stupid. he declares himself on the phone with 'wrong boytoy,' which was a great move. unfortunately, it produces terrible results.
jenna is under katherine's control and she stabs herself in the stomach. now we're back in the worst hospital in the world. jeremy says, 'she's going to pay' as if he has any ability to make that happen.
elena and stefan break up for real. stefan looks like he got kicked. his face crumpled very amusingly. the song that plays over their breakup is too loud in the mix. this is a consistent problem. damon tries to comfort elena as she's leaving. she refuses it, though. 'it doesn't matter, damon. she won. katherine won.'
katherine is reveling in her victory by compelling matt. she needs another werewolf, and she's going to use matt to activate tyler. why?

🚢 throwing this right back at you with big ole heart eyes
Leitha ( @moonsworn ) & Ana'Hira sitting in a tree???
send 🚢 or ( 'SHIP' ) if you ever considered shipping our characters romantically and want me to fill out the following form for our muses. bold all that definitely applies, italicize what could potentially apply. feel free to add more if you think certain options are missing or you just want to add more.
do i ship our characters together?: yes | no | not yet but maybe soon (in that i almost immediately saw it in my mind's eye. I see two cute people pointing in the same direction, I cannae help but consider.
would i like to ship with you?: yes | maybe, i'm willing to try | no
type of relationship i could see: childhood or high school sweethearts | exes | engaged | married | long-term relationship | crushes | unrequited love | fling | long distance | online relationship | just dating | new relationship | toxic lovers | friends with benefits
tropes i'd enjoy writing for them: friends to lovers | enemies to lovers | exes to lovers | fake relationship / dating | forbidden love | grumpy and sunshine | star-crossed lovers | surprise pregnancy | second chance | soulmates | amnesia / mistaken identity | forced proximity | secret relationship | slow burn relationship
would i rather plot first or jump right in and see where it goes?: develop their relationship first | jump right in | something in between ( a secret third thing that is me coming into your ims high as hell one night begging you for another chance to write you a love song, i mean thread, and you giving me the opportunity and now we have some mystical merger of vibrations, momentum, and a certain... je ne sais quoi. )
what now?: let's plot something (on your own time! ofc) | send me shippy memes (omg hii~) | i'll send you shippy memes (hey~) | write me a random starter | i'll write you a random starter
anything else i want you to know about me / my character / my shipping habits: Less a reveal of my own internal romance politics and more an open question for you: When Ana'Hira is staring into Lei's eyes, absolutely covered in gnoll blood, holding out an absurdly long lock of her hair for them to take, what will be going through their mind? Will there be sweet words shared? Or will there be a quiet understanding that, Xanathar was indeed correct in that, the greatest aphrodisiac, next to destroying one of your enemies completely, is being with someone who just gets it?

i was wondering how you think it would be if everyone from New Orleans (let’s pretend hope does not exist) went to Mystic Falls and they literally see a pregnant Caroline…
how do you think klaus would react ?
Hello anon! Ohmygod lmaoo I srsly can't imagine the scenario. It feels like there's endless possibilities of how it could go. Honestly pregnancy tropes are not my type but well...
Okay jokes aside, I'm trying very hard to picture it and here's what I got. The ton will be absolutely shocked. The mikealson family flabbergasted at the news of it. At the same time I'm sure Caroline will be looking at them and be like "been there, done that" Like seriously I don't think they will be thrilled at the news at first cuz it's so out of the blue yknow. But well there's Elijah being Elijah and probably the first one to recover from the shock and react how he reacted in TO.
Caroline probably goes through a lot of mixed feelings and stress cleans lmao. I mean carrying the town enemy's baby?? lmao but she's also a mom person and is a good mom. Some part of her would want that baby and want whatever she and Klaus has between them to work. But I think it will take a long time for them to work past the rough patches they face with her being pregnant tho.
As for Klaus, I guess some part of him feels happy because it's Caroline periodt. But also he probably dislikes the idea of having a baby because it's a huge commitment for him. Oh plus his trauma since young about how Mikeal treated him. He definitely wouldn't want to commit to being a father which is totally understandable because what he went through was just so painful.
So that's what I think in my opinion. Glad you brought this up anon because I never really thought too deep into this since I'm not a fan of pregnancy tropes. Do feel free to text me or ask me further about anything at all hehe. This is so fun! <3
Lastly anon, if you're interested in this storyline, I highly recommend THE WOLF by @galvanizedfriend if you haven't read it!! The writing is insanely good and the plot omggshahsh. It's a rewrite of The Originals and you won't be disappointed after reading it I promise!! have a good day<3
