Book series that I read in middle school to fill the Percy Jackson mythology void but they get increasingly niche *
* according to my own perception as a middle schooler because I felt like the only one in the world to read some of these and I had limited internet and the fandoms for them felt nonexistent. Also I had to do some hard googling to remember the title for some of these.

So I Guess I'm An Author Now
The last time I made any substantial posts on this account, I wasn't even published yet. Since then, I've put out four books and am midway through publishing my first audiobook.
Tumblr media
The Goddess of Nothing At All was what I was working on during my previous Tumblr days. It's a queer dark fantasy about Loki's wife Sigyn and finds ways to make you cry through Norse Mythology. It's a completed duology with a set of short stories on the side. Sigyn and Loki have been super well received, including winning second place in the Book Bloggers' Novel of the Year Award. Now the book is becoming an audiobook, which I've been running a Kickstarter for!
kickstarter
Actual link is here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gonaaaudiobook/the-goddess-of-nothing-at-all-gets-an-audiobook
The first chaper is already up on YouTube, and I'm so excited to be sharing it finally:
youtube
And of course, there's my newest baby book, This Too Shall Burn. This one is for all the witchy people who want to rage about women's health disparity, religious trauma, and witch burnings.
Tumblr media
Those are my favourite comp titles :B
I guess that sums up the last few years, more or less. Now I can get back to reblogging BG3 posts and tracking down writing buddies XD

Gremlin's Library
I'm still new to witchcraft and pagan religions, and know next to nothing about it outside my own personal views of magic and sacred. So my library right now is basically the result of me trying to learn about the different (and for now, more common) deities and paths I can take my craft and worship. just picked up a couple of new mythology books! 😁 I always love and cherish reading through books such as these, they give such a fascinating insight into the wonderful stories written by culture across the world, it's always so enthralling ☺️ I've already started reading the one on the left and it's so well written and packed full of lovely illustrations, maybe I'll give full reviews once I'm finished with them both 💖

Finished One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. (It was pretty average to me, but that’s just my opinion.)
So now I'm going to start Mythos: The Greek Myths Retold by Stephen Fry!
Like a lot of my books, this had been sitting on my shelf for ages - I hope it's a good one!

If you love Greek myth retellings and novels, I cannot recommend this book enough! This book took me on a rollercoaster of emotions and I finished it in one sitting as I could not put it down.
It’s a fresh take on Greek mythology retellings, in that the author has created her own mythos within the story - and yet, it fits perfectly into any other Greek myth retelling. It honestly felt more like reading a mythology retelling that I was unfamiliar with, and less like a brand new original story, as everything fit together into established Greek mythology so well.
At times I found it difficult to distinguish which parts were wholly original, and which were created for the story. Even when I finished the book, a part of me felt like I’d simply missed an epic by Homer somewhere and I could go read it to discover what happens next - rather than waiting on the next book.
Reading this book provided similar feelings to when I had read The Odyssey or The Iliad years ago. And the ending absolutely lends itself to the feeling that this is the first step to an epic journey that will stretch for years and have many twists and turns throughout it - just like the epic poems by Homer.
If you love reading Greek myth retellings, but you feel like you know them almost too well to enjoy novels on them - this is the book for you!
Thank you to the author, Netgalley, and Victory Editing/Muse and Quill Press for providing me this arc in exchange for an honest review.
