You're already good friends and just want each other to be happy.

I have a namelessipping hc that one of the reasons Red likes Blue is because he never infantalized him over his mutism. Blue was (and still is) an absolute cocky bastard, but even before that started he never treated Red weird or like a child just because he couldn't speak.

Okay I absolutely adore the idea that Red and Blue are on their honeymoon in Alola (and I do like to think that their eventual honeymoon is in Alola) but also I think there's some charm to them being together, but not yet married.

Because hey, if we as an audience assumed that they're married, wouldn't it be only natural for people in their life to also assume so?

The people of Alola just see them together and assume that they must be because hey, they live in Alola together, and they own a battle tree together, and they tease each other, and act like a married couple, and the looks Blue gives Red when he thinks that he's not looking are so so so fond and even if Red isn't the most expressive you can sometimes see a little quirk of his mouth whenever Blue does something especially stupid (/lh) and thinks that nobody's looking. And anybody can tell just by looking at their interactions that they know and understand each other more than most people — if not anyone else.

Whenever brought up to them Blue probably shrugs it off, makes a remark, tries not to think too hard about the ring he has back at home in a place where he thinks Red won't find it (he's definitely already found it), and if Red has to stifle back a laugh with the knowledge of what Blue's planning then is it really so off for people to make that assumption?

Their engagement as well isn't anything special with Red already knowing what Blue has planned and when he has it planned (because of course the nice date out that they have planned that Blue made extra sure that would cater to his tastes would be the perfect opportunity to pop the question) and so there is no suprise at all when Blue proposes, and that's okay for both of them.

Afterall, when you're as close as them isn't it normal for the concept of marriage to feel as natural as breathing? They know each other by heart they know each other well enough that they don't hide from each other and can tell when the other is feeling unwell by the smallest things. Isn't it only natural for them to not make a big fuss of it when so many things in their life are dramatic, and hey maybe it's nice to just have this one thing be calm and peaceful and happy and affectionate?

Sry I just think they're neat

I keep hearing about the "N is a Zoroark" theory, which I generally don't like, but what about Red being a Zoroark? Again, not something I'm super fond of ( the mute/selectively mute Red only non human rubs me the wrong way), but it's interesting if this was a doppelganger situation. Cause Red is the perfect person to copy. He's quiet, imposing, and works incredibly with pokemon. It's the perfect person to take the role of.

Now, obviously, the people close to Red would know that the Red they knew was an imposter, especially Blue and Pikachu. But the public doesn't. For all they know, it's Red being Red. Mysterious and cool. They don't know that the Red they see isn't the real Red. Also, the real Red is alive and well. I don't see this as a "Red died and a Zoroark took his place deal cause no. It's just. Very interesting to think about.

Hell, we can say that the reason for Zoroark! Red's appearance is because Red just doesn't want to deal with the public anymore. Have Zoroark be the Red that everyone thinks he is ( aka, pixiv Red), while he can chill and be with Blue.

And yes this could go poorly. Honestly even pokepasta territory if done well.

wholeheartedly believe that if green is having a candy that has multiple colors/flavors like gummy bears, sour worms, etc if he leaves it unattended even for a Second red takes All of the colors he likes and only leaves the colors he doesn’t for green like the monster he is . but also, it’s been something he’s done ever since they were little kids, and because of it, green is like classically conditioned like pavlovs dogs to where those flavors that red leaves behind are his favorite flavors now just because he has so many more of them per capita 👍👍

Red finds it impossible to sleep alone after reconnecting with Blue. Sure, it's annoying sometimes, especially since he used to do it for years on Mt. Silver.

Though, the comforting weight of his husband sleeping on his chest isn't something he would trade for the world.
