What a great way to start my morning by checking my email and getting all excited about the fact someone left a comment in my one art collection in AO3. Just to realize it was basically "clever" advertisement spam. It started at first like a misplaced comment (it didn't have anything to do with my art collection and it started somewhat blaming manner toward my collection, but at least the fandom reference was correct), but once I read it till the end, I realized it was basically an advertisement. Talk about a real bummer to start one's morning.

as a lot of you know, i make rosaries/prayer beads/other beaded items - and i started a project earlier this year to make a beaded collection inspired by my favorite naruto characters. i’m finally done with enough of them that i’ll be posting photos and videos!

the first one is, of course, inspired by kakashi.

i used cracked quartz, and dumortierite (which is the primary bead for obito’s) - both with a less the traditional cut, to represent the traumatic journeys they’ve been through. each sharingan user also features a red jade bead.

the hardware was chosen to represent chidori, a thousand birds.
