The "Devouring and Peace" Emotional Transmutation Ritual
Setup:
This ritual is designed to get us to fully allow our feral expression and then return to a state of balanced equanimity. It is perfect for those interested in lycanthropy or chaos, natural, and animal magics. This should be done alone, where one can act and exist entirely unhindered by judgment.
Items Needed:
An Orange or other fruit with a rind you can eat happily
A Knife
Toothpicks
Comfortable Clothing
A Shower or bathing tub with low lighting
Incense or wild fragrance of any sort
Whole Cloves
A Tea Candle
Journal (optional)
Ritual:
For this ritual, make sure you have an extended period of time where you can remain undisturbed. It is important to see this through to the end as we are accessing wild energy within ourselves, then centering around calm energy afterward. Accessing the wild energy and then being interrupted halfway through defeats the purpose!
To start, cut your orange in half and bring it with you into your place of bathing. Give a moment of thanks for the food you have. Remove all your clothing, get the lights as low as possible, light an incense or fragrance, and clear your mind of any residual thoughts you brought into the ritual. If you have personal ways that help you clear your mind or go into trance, you can do them now, but stay within the room.
Start your shower or bath. With a clear mind, let feral energy overtake you, bring forth your animal self, and fully embody it. Do not force action, but do not withhold it. Grunts, growls, quadrupedal stances, and the like are not required but help release that blocked animal energy that many people suppress.
For this next segment, keeping the two halves of the rind as intact as possible is important.
When you have released your animal energy, grab half of the orange and devour it in the shower or tub. Do not think about yourself, only the food you are consuming. Scrape the flesh of the orange from the rind with your teeth, and eat the flesh in its entirety. Truly release yourself to your animal instincts. When you finish the first half, move to the second and do not hold back. Let yourself go and fully devour the food you have.
You will inevitably damage the rind, but try not to tear it unnecessarily. Again, we are trying to keep the rind intact as much as possible. It is okay if it splits in half, but preferably, it is not torn into several pieces.
When you have fully consumed the orange, put the rind to the side or in a safe place, and slow your breath. Return to a centered state of being, allow the feral animal energy to decrease, and lower your heart rate. Once you feel yourself begin to calm, wash yourself fully to finalize your state of centered, aware equanimity.
Bring your orange rind with you out of the shower or tub, extinguish the incense, dry yourself, and put on your clothes. Relocate to a space where you feel safe and can remain undisturbed.
Use a few toothpicks to repair the damaged rind by stabbing them together like wooden stitches. It does not have to look pretty. We are hoping for two halves of a globe, almost as if we have reassembled the orange, which is now empty inside. Decide which half is more stable and make that the base; the other will be the top. Place a tea candle in the base and tear a hole in the top. Again, it does not have to look pretty. Push whole cloves into the rind close to the edge of the hole in the top.
Take a moment of silence before you light the tea candle. Allow any chaotic, heightened, or non-peaceful energies to leave you before you light the candle.
Light the candle and place the top rind over the base, adjusting it to ensure the flame does not burn any edges. As with all open-flame rituals, remain by the candle until the ritual is done, and never leave a burning flame unattended for extended periods. The tea candle's wick can sometimes drift when the wax is fully liquified, so check on the rind often to ensure it does not burn. If it does burn, simply rotate the top to accommodate.
As the candle burns, do something you enjoy that brings you peace. You can meditate, journal, create art, or do anything that brings you joy and tranquility that centers your being. Remain in the presence of the candle while you do this. Remind yourself of the visceral energy you hold, but maintain inner focus and peace with whatever you do. Give thanks and honor both sides of yourself: the feral and the calm.
When you are done with whatever activity brings you peace, blow out the candle and keep the orange out as a reminder until you sleep. If the candle goes out, give thanks and end the ritual promptly.
Use the rind in other rituals if you wish, or discard it respectfully the following day.

It's been long since I last posted. However, I do keep my practice going, for paganism is not a hobby and, rather, another way to live honestly by.
Pepe is finally home along my wife and I! We've been sharing him some small trinkets and boons from the nature which surrounds our house, we've gifted found money, seeds, stones, crystals and gave him a room to rest by. Pepe's presence being in my office at home is refreshing company to whom I dedicate incenses, candles and short prayers asking only for help towards driving my future into bountiful and fertile grounds...
The malicious misunderstanding coming from other people with other beliefs towards paganism is rather saddening than hurting. To believe in nature and its cycle is not to deny the beliefs of those who pray to the light, to an idol or many, to the seas or winds even... but to believe that others have freedom to believe in what they trust in and/or to.
Nature magic is not blood magic or black magic, it's not even made for cursing others. Yes, you CAN cast a curse upon the souls and hearts of those you snicker to and against, but as the cycle goes: that what you curse others against, shall curse you as well.
Don't try to perform witch-craft under malicious intents, don't hurt others if you aren't decided to hurt yourself. Nature is wild, but admitting to all life... but remember nature can be as bright as it is dark...
Be safe, my friend, and may the boons of nature guide you towards your happiness too.

Empress/Enchantress & Siddhi- the Natural Magic of Consciousness part 1 of 2
To read our life-story we must feel into the underlying meanings of things. Consciousness speaks through the appearing story-line.
Consciousness also speaks in multiple directions at once, multidimensionally across time/space.
A single cause put into motion, can play out anywhere in any way as multiple consequences, yet the consequences, seemingly scattered are energetically linked to the original cause or event.
Like the tarot layout, the links between symbols/ appearances are energetically/geometrically complex & of a higher dimensional order.
If our intuitive-logic & felt-perception grows through disciplined application of the mind (Sanskrit: Sadhana) we develop the concomitant Siddhi (achievement, mastery, success, magical ability etc.).
We can divine & interpret circumstances without the need for the physical intermediary or instrument. Eventually the magician can throw out his cards & tools, he/she has internalised them as natural capacities of Consciousness.
From the innocent bliss of the fool at 0, we receive our instruments for our journey of individuation, that begins at tarot card I, the magician- our initiation.
WE ARE ASKED, IN SOME WAY, THROUGH OUR LIFE STORY: WILL YOU TAKE IT?
The wand/staff/sword/key is offered to us by & unseen hand (by the Goddess or emissary) - & at appropriate moments our other tools will come into view.
When we have integrated our given tool & mastered it through applied discipline within us it becomes Siddhi- the natural magic of Consciousness, awakened at the head & crown— we become the oracle, priestess, wise woman, enchantress, the sorceress, the witch, the knower, the seer, the visionary- in other words— The Empress.
Kundalini has coiled itself around the staff, clearing us out of shadow & energising latent capacities as she ascends.
When the vibrational-signature is cognised in frontal awareness, feeling vibration unites in understanding & insight resulting in conscious Self-realisation.
I know the reality-existence of my own feeling-vibration, I know my own signature.

The Wonder Of Foraging

Foraging is an ancient and magickal practice, allowing witches to deepen their bond with nature while gathering powerful herbs, plants, fungi and even bones for spells, potions, and rituals. This guide will help you safely and ethically harvest nature’s gifts while honoring the spirits of the land.
𖥞The Ethics of Foraging
Before you set out, follow these principles:
• Harvest Respectfully - Take only what you need, and never overharvest.
• Know Your Land - Learn the local laws and indigenous practices of the area.
• Ask Permission - Some witches seek permission from the plants or land spirits before harvesting.
• Leave No Trace - Avoid damaging the ecosystem and thank nature for its sacrifice.
𖥞Essential Foraging Tools
• A foraging basket or cloth bag
• A sharp knife or scissors for cutting herbs
• Gloves (for thorny or toxic plants)
• A field guide (or app) to identify plants and fungi
• A journal for noting magickal correspondences or general notes
𖥞Sacred Rituals & Offerings
• Thank the Spirits - Leave a small offering (water, crystals, trinkets, a song, or a prayer).
• Moon-Charged Foraging - Gather herbs under a full moon for extra potency.
• Wild Altar - Arrange collected items as an outdoor altar to honor nature.
𖥞Crafting with Your Foraged Finds
• Herbal Magick: Use dried herbs to dress candles or as offerings.
• Herbal Bundles: Dry herbs for smoke cleansing.
• Infused Oils: Steep plants in oil for anointing and spellwork.
• Herbal Incense: Crush dried herbs for loose incense burning on charcoal or craft your own cones/sticks.
• Tinctures & Teas: Brew magickal potions for healing and intention-setting.
• Spell Jars & Mojo Bags: Combine dried herbs with crystals and charms for long-lasting magic.

𖥞Harvesting Herbs for Drying
• Timing Matters - Gather herbs in the morning after the dew has dried but before the sun is too hot.
• Lunar Harvesting - For extra magical potency, harvest under a full or waxing moon.
• Use Sharp Tools - Cut herbs with scissors or a boline to avoid damaging the plant.
𖥞Methods of Drying Herbs
Hanging Method (Best for Sturdy Herbs)
• Gather small bundles of herbs and tie them with twine.
• Hang upside down in a dry, dark, well-ventilated space.
• Avoid direct sunlight, which can weaken magical properties.
Drying time: 1-3 weeks.
Flat Drying (For Delicate Leaves & Flowers)
• Spread herbs in a single layer on a mesh screen, paper towel, or cloth.
• Keep in a dark, dry place with good airflow.
Drying time: 5-10 days.
Oven Drying (For Quick Drying)
• Set the oven to the lowest temperature (around 100-150°F or 38-65°C).
• Place herbs on a baking sheet and leave the oven door slightly open.
• Check every 10-15 minutes to prevent burning.
Drying time: 1-2 hours.
Dehydrator Method (Efficient & Even Drying)
• Place herbs in a dehydrator at a low setting (95-115°F or 35-46°C).
• Dry until leaves crumble easily.
Drying time: 4-12 hours, depending on the herb.
𖥞Storing Dried Herbs
• Glass Jars: Store herbs in airtight glass jars, preferably tinted to block light.
• Labeling: Always label with the herb name and date of drying.
• Cool, Dark Storage: Keep herbs away from sunlight and moisture.
• Energetic Cleansing: Charge dried herbs with moonlight or crystals before use.

𖥞Foraging Bones
Foraging for animal bones is a sacred practice that connects witches to nature, death cycles, and spirit work. Whether for divination, spellwork, or ancestral veneration, ethically collecting bones requires respect and knowledge.
Where to Find Bones:
• Forests & Woodlands - Look near animal trails, under trees, or in dry areas.
• Riverbanks & Lakeshores - Water can wash up bones over time.
• Fields & Deserts - Open areas may have sun-bleached remains.
• Roadsides & Farmland - Unfortunately, roadkill can be a source, but always ensure it is safe and legal to collect.
Ethical & Legal Considerations:
• Respect the Dead - Offer gratitude or a small offering when taking bones.
• Check Local Laws - Some areas prohibit collecting certain animal remains.
• Leave No Trace - Do not disturb entire ecosystems while searching.
Cleaning & Preparing Bones:
• Dry Cleaning - Brush off dirt and debris.
• Water Soaking - Soak in warm water to loosen soft tissue (never use bleach!).
• Hydrogen Peroxide Bath - Use 3% peroxide to whiten and disinfect bones.
• Sun Drying - Leave in the sun for a few days for natural purification.
Magickal Uses for Bones:
• Divination - Use small bones in casting (Osteomancy).
• Altars & Ancestral Work - Honor spirits with bone offerings.
• Talismans & Charms - Carry bones for protection and strength.
• Crafting Tools - Use bones for wands, runes, or ritual tools.
Foraging is an essential skill for a witch, as it deepens their connection with nature and provides access to fresh, potent ingredients for spells, potions, and rituals. Wild herbs, roots, and flowers carry strong natural energies that enhance magickal workings in ways store-bought materials cannot. Understanding the land and its seasonal growth also fosters self-sufficiency and sustainability, aligning a witch’s practice with the cycles of the Earth. Additionally, foraging strengthens intuition and knowledge of plant properties, ensuring safe and ethical use of nature’s offerings.
By embracing foraging as part of your craft, you not only strengthen your magickal practice but also develop a deep, sacred relationship with the land. You will discover that it to be its own spiritual practice, a communion with nature, and a fantastic way to spend your day. Happy foraging, witches!

Current Special Interests - October 2024 Edition
Getting back into my divination path within my craft. I haven't pulled cards that much in over a year. Getting back into a good place with it feels incredible.
Sympathetic and natural magic as a means of bonding with nature and animals.
Agatha All Along because I am a magical queer bitch and DUH!
Streaming again despite mental and physical health issues.
Ways in which to increase my queerness openly and loudly in daily life without saying a word.
Researching places to move to that would positively impact my life on many levels. For example: if I moved to ___ how would that impact my mental health? My physical health? Would I be hate crimed? Would I be broke?
World of Warcraft leveling.
Falling back into a healthy place with gaming and exercising.
Cooking more healthy meals and trying to stay as present as possible when it comes to "remembering to eat".

Communing with Lord Cernunnos!
I work with them on Saturdays! I havent been as active as I should but I made an effort today. Usually i made a 1 mile treck to the forest preserve to speak to him but today i got home from a party so I just worked in the backyard.
When he appeared he seemed stronger than usual even though its winter (hes strongest in the summer). His stature was strong and sturdy; his antlers as strong as ever, hair on his arms and legs but still a human’s face.
We spoke about my issues and meditated. He signaled me to use the energy of the fallen leaves around me to meditate and aid myself to heal. I didnt quite understand but I did and it helped a lot. I feel soothed, and at peace.
