Okay so first of all thank you for the appreciation showed to my drawing, it really warmed my heart🫶🏻 but aside from that, I've read in your tags that you also have D&D headcanons for La Squadra. Care to share? 👀

Risotto: I think I have him put down in my notes as a Goliath, but he's a Soulknife Rogue! Prosciutto: School of Necromancy Wizard, just like your art :> Even beyond Grateful Dead's abilities, it's just a good vibe for him! High elf or half-elf with a high elf parent, I think Pesci: This one I still waffle back and forth on, but I like Battle Master Fighter for him! There's plenty of good arguments for other classes here, though, I think. Barbarian's one that one of my friend's suggested, I think you could argue Druid because of Thorn Whip... (I think I have him in my notes as a human but I'm not personally stuck on any particular idea there...) Formaggio: Fairy Druid! I don't have a particular Circle in mind for him, but Fairy is mostly because of the inherent Enlarge/Reduce. (And also because my friend and I thought it'd be funny) Melone: Battle Smith Artificer suits him best, I think! There's a joke to be made here about making him a Harengon, but I will not be committing that to text lmfao. I think I made him a half-elf in my notes, honestly. Illuso: College of Whispers Bard! He's a Fallen Aasimar (incidentally: he's not the only Vento character I'm imagining as a Fallen Aasimar--I've pictured Fugo as one, too!) Ghiaccio: He's a Tiefling! Specifically, Bloodline of Levistus. As far as class goes, there's two directions I default to-- either a Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer (silver or white dragon, naturally) or a Way of the Ascendant Dragon Monk who favors cold damage. Sorbet and Gelato I don't have specific headcanons for here, but now that I'm thinking about it... I like the idea of one being an Inquisitive Rogue, and the other being a Ranger... maybe Hunter or Gloom Stalker?

My entry for @slocotion​'s DYO contest! This little guy is inspired by one of my favorite celestial objects, the Rosette Nebula! :]

I thought the idea of stacking a top hat on top of a jester cap might be a bit silly, but I ended up liking it more than I expected?

Design Concept

Rosette Nebula (Skull Nebula): The Nebula with a Hole in the Heart

Based on Caldwell 49, a nebula that resembles both a rose and a human skull. The “hole” in the center of the nebula gives it its iconic rose shape. The rose theme reminded me of a phantom thief, who I found similar to a jester in the sense that they were both witty figures and masters of tricks! 

I wanted them to have a look that was both snazzy like a gentleman thief and whimsical like a jester, with a repeating "star" motif to represent the open cluster (NGC 2244) within the nebula.

Rhódon (Greek for "rose", a flower that, in Greek mythology, came from the lifeless body of a nymph that was transformed by Chloris) is a phantom thief who loves attention and all things shiny and sparkly!

They are constantly driven by the urge to show off their skills, and the thrill of pulling off impressive heists is one of the only things that fill the hole in their heart.

I’ve taken a while to finish her, but this is Red Nebula Cookie

That is her name solely because space + red. There were probably better options I could pick, another option I had come up with was Blazing Star, which probably would have worked much better, but I grew attached to the name Red Nebula so that’s her name

There’s plenty of red nebulas, but this is the reference I used. I had a different one originally but I liked these colors more

I had her mostly done for some weeks, I just couldn’t figure out her outfit below her cape. Eventually I just settled on nothing and keeping it as a weird jumpsuit…thing, I don’t know

I feel like maybe her gem and shoulder things look a bit too big now, as opposed to the sketch, but ah well

But yeah after drawing her out, I found the difficult part to be figuring out her colors. I was constantly changing them to see what stuck. Getting the new ref definitely helped but it took me a while to get her jumpsuit color good

I don’t think I planned for her design to have all the gradients and star bits, but I suppose it matches the detail with her parents

Also the horns weren’t in the sketch, I tacked them on pretty late since Capsaicin had them, so that’s why they looked tacked on

I do quite like her honestly

Okay, so onto her character. My brain started coming up with ideas for it when I named her (hence why I was so attached). Like nebulas act as a nursery for new stars, so my idea is that she gets along very well with little Cookies, and probably works in a daycare. She’s a very sweet and friendly Cookie

She also has an alternate form like Capsaicin and Stardust, which I think I was going to draw but didn’t. I don’t really know what it looks like, other than being some mix of the two probably. But I know it can fly, and that she uses that form around the little Cookies as a ride for them, though she can also use it to fight and protect them if there’s danger

I thought I had more to say but I don’t think I do. Well then I hope you enjoy her

What do you think is happening with the wad recording? What I mean is, obviously Dan’s still working on it and I trust he's doing everything he can, but do you think it will have the same vibe as when it was performed during the tour? Since it's been so long. And do you think, if he doesn't for some reason manage to record it, does he have some kind of backup recording from the tour, be it from one camera, but at least with a passable audio? You know way more about this than I do, sorry if this is not how these things work actually 👀

oi, i don't know anything but i have theories. my roman empire.

i don't think it's gonna be released as wad dvd (not anymore, lol). i still call it dvd because it's easier. it can be put on a streaming platform. he didn't record the whole show during his tour but he has recordings of some shows (segments of some shows) that were used for promo. and i'm sure there is more footage than we have already seen. i think it's a good backup that could be used if other plans went to shit. did they go to shit though?

at the end of October i was told that Inter Talent was reaching out to companies trying to sell wad movie rights, basically (hello, op if you're still here). and then in November Dan told us that, "the oven has almost reached temperature" and i would assume they finally sold the rights. to what exactly? i have no idea. a one-man show? has something to do with the place and the festival we shouldn't name? BBC is involved again? if he actually performed wad show in front of some audience we would have known, i assume. so it leaves me with a theory about the "gay and not proud" format that was surely adapted to wad as much as possible. Bo Burnham: Inside (Daniel Howell edition), idk. or another theory - a mix of the footage they have (the promo one) and Dan "performing" on stage alone. no idea how they would make it look natural but they could try.

in both October and November people called the product a movie and a film. it also makes me think that there's gonna be either bts or actual acting in the final product, instead of just what we saw live. so, not the same vibe for sure.

also, since there were adjustments to the script for almost every live show he probably had to make changes for dvd as well. and also he had enough feedback to modify some jokes. this whole delay of wad dvd is a blessing and curse, honestly. he had a chance to perfect it, and i hope he did.

p.s. if he is only about to perform it in front of an audience for filming purposes, and he was selling only the movie idea to get funds, i'm gonna cry. but it would be funny.

NGC 6302

not sure what this is in reference to...? but NGC 6302 is the butterfly nebula!!

it's a subset of planetary nebula (formed when a massive star dies) called a bipolar planetary nebula. this just means it's got the two sections/lobes on either side of the star, rather than material all around it.

A very great question which is not easy to answer, there are many great shades & since purple is a secondary colour, its appearance can change with minimal changes of wavelengths.

My favourite shade would be the second on this colour palatte, called
