yeah we all love the date everything! player being a normie or player being scene or player being emo goth whatever but gyaru player. Gyaru player who probably has so much glitz and glam in their closet. Gyaru player who owns like fifteen different pairs of leg and arm warmers and so many statement pieces aligning to their specific vein of fashion that it could make dirk CRY. Gyaru player who owns so much product that when they hit up barry styles out of curiosity barry is IMMEDIATELY freaking out happily and helping them elevate their existing look even further because i feel like hes not used to somebody being so invested in this sort of art. There's another post getting popular on this hellsite that boils down to, "in my anecdotal experience every child is perfectly reasonable as long as you just treat them as a tiny adult" and I'm ready to scream.

Actually mental illnesses are still mental illnesses! No matter how you treat the mentally ill person sometimes they will still show symptoms of being mentally ill because they are mentally ill! Yes even children!

I swear the minute it's about parents or children all the ~uwu take care of yourself~ acceptance crowd on Tumblr instantly reverts back to ableism and cultural Christianity - because obviously children are perfect and pure beings who are only misbehaving because the adults around them, especially their parents, aren't ~doing it right~ aren't ~trying hard enough~ actually mental illness just comes from parent fuck-ups ~obviously~. So any parent that isn't perfect 24/7 is bad and any kid is perfect until an adult messes them up. And yall haven't even unpacked your attitudes enough to realize that's the logical conclusion of these "well I work with kids and I just listen to them and everything goes perfect" posts and never fuckin reblog my angry posts where I try to point it out and I am absolutely fucking exhausted yall are exhausting. Sometimes, for parents with mental illnesses, the mental illness mental illnesses! Sometimes, for kids with mental illnesses, the mental illness mental illnesses! If your premise is "the only problem with kids is how the adults around them treat them" you are completely disconnected from reality.

my bitching abt taking homestuck seriously as a text was apparently a prelude to me finally getting some coherent thoughts in order re: things im noticing this time around to do with The Time Period Of 2009 (an era in which i was. 10) . so that reread tag ive barely done anything with may finally get some use when i can make this into a semi-coherent point. not that i think im qualified to be saying anything about things but eh. might as well. but ill be curious to get opinions from people who Are better informed abt certain areas of pop culture

Also, on the end part of "Lunar breaks down" with Earth, I just have to say the posts I saw made that scene sound like she had looked Lunar dead in the eyes and went "I don't wanna help you" and walked away but like... She just accidentally overheard Lunar's breakdown and went "ah. fuck, i'll... let them cry it out first. i'll take a lap and come back."

Like that's? I feel like that's not even a bad or mean thing. If we're being real here, too, Lunar probably would have clammed up and tried to make themselves stop crying if Earth had walked in—which is arguably worse than crying it out for however long they needed to. There isn't anything she could have said to help either, this is evident in the fact there wasn't anything to say when Lunar properly came to the family about the matter the next day.

She didn't do a bad thing, she just... made a choice. Not even a notably bad choice. She just said "I can't help, I'll trust them to come to someone about that when they're ready." Like that's... that's fair. That's not even Earth having a flaw either she literally just chose to let Lunar have an alone moment like c'mon HDKSNDM
