Lo’ak: What if it bites me and it dies!?

Y/n : Then you’re poisonous. Oh my Eywa, Lo’ak, learn to listen.

Tsireya: What if it bites itself and I die?

Ao’nung: That’s voodoo.

Roxto : What if it bites me and someone else dies?

Kiri: That’s correlation, not causation.

Y/n: What if we bite each other, and neither of us die?

Ao’nung: That’s kinky…

A/N: I saw some hilarious prompts and incorrect quotes that I couldn’t leave alone. I didn’t want to giggle at them all by my self so please enjoy!! y/n left class quicker than she usually would that day. frightened she would fall down the stairs as she skipped a step on her way outside. neteyam noticed her rush, it intrigued him. he didn't want to overstep, but he had to gage if she was interested in knowing him or not.

neteyam saw y/n sitting over at a table outside the cafe, her headphones now on and face buried in her abundance of notes. he ordered a coffee and stood to the side so it didn't look as if he sought her out in the crowd- which is completely untrue. she looked peaceful, neteyam smiled at the sight.

his coffee was soon ready, he took a second before ordering another one. y/n was focused heavily on her work, so it wasn't until he sat down that she noticed Neteyam's presence.

y/n jumped in her seat, hand to her heart. "oh my god, neteyam-" she panted, "you scared me"

he chuckled a little, "so you do remember me," neteyam slid the extra coffee cup across the table to her, "I wasn't sure how you took your coffee, so I had to guess,"

y/n couldn't help the small blush that was rising onto her cheeks. she muttered a small thank you before taking a sip. she didn't actually like coffee, but if neteyam had given it to her- she would drink it. "I'm sorry I didn't say anything to you in class, I just had no idea how to talk to you,"

"well the last time you saw me you were in a questionable state," neteyam laughed, y/n took note of his two front teeth being slightly longer than the others. adorable, she thought, like a bunny. "did you feel okay the next day?"

"I wasn't too bad," y/n shook her head with a bashful smile, one neteyam really liked, "tsireya took good care of me,"

"well, good" he nodded, "I'm glad, I would've felt bad if you were super hungover- especially because it was my brother who put you in that state,"

"lo'ak is harmless, funny guy,"

"yeah, he's alright," neteyam agreed, "tuk is the real rager, my little sister- she's eight"

"thats so sweet!" y/n cooed at the thought of neteyam being an older brother to someone so young. she knew that he was a great brother, she could tell. "are you two close?"

"oh yeah," he nodded, looking down at his coffee thinking of tuk with a smile, "she's like my best friend". neteyam pulled out his phone to show his lock screen. a mirror selfie of him and a young girl with braided hair, a few pink beads styled in.

y/n sat there with neteyam for a few more minutes, speaking about his family. her heart was beating that little bit faster hearing how much he loves and cares for his family. it was insanely attractive. neteyam could breathe and she would think it was.

"I was gonna head to the library to get some more work done," Neteyam's face fell, she was leaving, "you can come if you want?" she said slowly.

"yeah," he nodded, two of his locs moving with his head, "I'll come with you,"

You walked out of the building, finally wearing an outfit appropriate for the weather. You pulled the hood of your jacket up, shielding your face from the wind when you noticed Ao'nung's car pull up.

The window in front of you rolled down, revealing the grinning boy. "Get in the car loser, we're going shopping."

"Since when did you know mean girls?"

"Since Tsireya was my sister," he snorted, parking the car in an empty space. "So, I figure we should probably talk about what you wanted right now?"

"Oh yeah," you cleared your throat, the joking atmosphere quickly dissipating. "It's just— me and Neteyam got into an argument yesterday? Violet told him some dumb shit, like you were using me or it was all just a bet you were going for— and I defended you and that's why me and him fought— but now I can't stop thinking about it and I feel horrible for even thinking that about you."

Ao'nung listened carefully, not once interrupting in your rambling. "Fucking hell," he mumbled, running a hand over his face. "Me and Violet dated for like— a month at best? And we weren't all that serious, okay? We were friends with benefits and she wanted more one day and I just thought, why not, you know? It's fucked up but I didn't like her all that much— and when I finally told her and broke it off she felt used and went off telling all the other girls I went for that I was doing the same exact thing to them that I did to her."

Your eyes widened at the revelation, chewing on your cheek nervously. He hadn't directly addressed your worrying, which only made you feel worse, but nevertheless you stayed silent, letting him continue.

"But I swear on my life, y/n, I'm not using you. I never was. If I'm serious about anything, it's you. I liked you from the start, and I never would've started anything if I felt anything less."

You released a breath you weren't even aware you were holding, and nodded happily. "That's uh— good to know." You grinned, trying to hide the blush painting your cheeks when you met his smug eyes.

Yet the more you thought about it, the more the guilt weighed you down. Ao'nung was so patient, so understanding, how were you not ready? You still somehow had feelings for a man who hurt you over and over again (granted unknowingly) and you still couldn't move on?

Noticing your silence, Ao'nung placed a hand over yours. "Everything ok?"

Sighing, you softly intertwined your fingers together with his. "I feel horrible," you mumbled quietly, causing him to dip his head closer to your face. "I mean, you're just so- so understanding? You're so patient, you stick around when I tell you I'm not ready, and you don't get mad when I accuse you of really stupid things, and I just get why you're waiting on me when you could be with another girl who's ready now."

"Y/n," he cooed, his hand gently grabbing you by your chin to look up at him. "I wait for you because I want to. You're not horrible to me, I love your company, and you're still getting over a breakup. Knowing you like me back is enough for me."

His words of reassurance did little to ease your guilt, but you nodded anyways. "Yeah, yeah you're right. Sorry."

"Don't be sorry," he smiled, pressing a loving kiss to your knuckles. "Now let's go get some coffee, mkay? There's no way you had time to get it before I picked you up, you're in a fight with your coffee supplier."

"Ugh, don't remind me." You groaned, bringing your legs close to your chest, almost resembling a ball and resting your head on Ao'nungs arm as he pulled out from the parking lot, going to the cafe.

As you guys walked into the cafe, you'd finally given yourself a break, trying to forget about your worries and the fight from yesterday.

All of that went out the window when you saw Neteyam animatedly talking to Violet inside.

And it reminded you of a time you knew all too well.

FUN FACTS !

— neteyam and y/n would sit at the same booth everytime they went to the cafe and neteyam's been sitting with violet there the past couple times

— ao'nung convinced y/n to get his drink order this time and she hated it

a/n : this is short but like i haven't posted in so long so i just posted like a quarter of what i originallyplanned to write

story m.list next

Y/n sighed, placing her phone down on it's face as she looked over at Neteyam and Ao'nung. She wanted to believe Kiri and Tsireya so badly, but the way they're mood seemed to drop whenever they were around her, and the way they seemed so happy around others but looked so out of it around her just couldn't leave her mind. All of it flooding her mind and making her sulk as other groups in her African American history class presented their projects.

She let her thoughts take over, putting her in a trance until she heard her name being called along with Neteyam and Ao'nung's. She stood up, walking to the front of the classroom, not even bothering to look at her partners. They quickly joined her to the front, each boy standing on either side of her.

Both teens seemed to notice her sulky mood throughout their presentation, exchanging glances with one another to see if the other noticed as well. They desperately wanted to check on the teenage girl but couldn't seeing as they were in the middle of a presentation. All they could do was wait.
