When you're neurotypical, people are required to understand you. It's considered rude for someone to not understand you. Even elementary school children are expected to understand you perfectly under threat of punishment. Those who don't understand you are often bullied until they do.
When you're neurodivergent, you have to pay people ungodly amounts of money to understand you. And even then they usually don't.

Neurotypical privilege is hot weather being assumed to be "good weather" and something to be hoped for, celebrated and "made the most of". Neurotypical privilege is not having to worry about the fact that every single thing that happens during hot weather takes place outside, usually in direct sunlight. Neurotypical privilege is not thinking you're a spoilsport, moody and overreacting to a bit of sun, or even being told those things directly, because nobody seems to understand that sensory issues are a thing.
I imagine this intersects with able-bodied privilege too.

Something I’ve noticed is that people tend to see solution seeking attempts as blame and entitlement when the problem was caused by yourself, and the thing is, this mindset is really only accessible to those with neurotypical privilege. I have an executive function disorder and struggle to understand social rules, so I’m sorry but if I just rolled over and “accepted the consequences” of every small oversight or error I make, I literally could not survive.

that’s why i usually don’t say “cis men” instead of just men because too many trans men on this site have proven over and over again that they are not exempt from parroting the exact same misogynistic rhetoric as cis dudes. that’s cool if your gender is ‘spicy’ but you’re still a guy!

My first time watching Glass Onion it was obvious that Miles' speeches were bullshit, but I still searched for any hidden meaning there might be.
The second time is a different experience though because every time my brain starts to search for meaning, I feel like Benoit Blanc discovering that no, there is absolutely no hidden meaning.
It's bullshit it's all nothing nothing nothing! It is just how you end up talking when everyone reacts to your self-aggrandizing word vomit like it is actually wisdom.
Also, legit, when Miles gave his stupid bullshit speech about what the word 'disruptor' means to him, I shit you not I was like holy shit am I back in business school right now?!
Miles must have given speeches like that at 100 business school graduations, goddamn.
Like, the motherfuckers really do sound like this. We didn't have any billionaires come, but we had a lot of millionaire guest speakers in my classes, and they fucking talk like that.
They all think they're rugged capitalists, but they're just glass onions!

i hate you neurotypical "feminism." i hate you corporate "feminism." i hate you white cis women who call the cops on black people for expressing their emotions in a way that make you personally uncomfortable. i hate you neurotypical LGBTQ+ who try to control the narrative about your disabled siblings and making pride inaccessible to them. i hate you exclusionists. i hate you pretentious leftists who shove everyone who isn't an upper mid-class, skinny, white, cis woman under the bus. i hate you classist leftists. i hate you elitist "academia is perfectly accessible, you're just lazy" leftists. i hate you "autism isn't a disability." i hate you "if i can do it, so can you." i hate you idiots who ignore the nuance of privilege. i hate you skinny women who make all of "female" experience about you and no one else. i hate you privileged women who abuse everyone who is more marginalized than you are just because their perspectives don't fit in your narrow-minded narrative. i hate you "feminists" who blatantly ignore the fact that women can and will be abusive towards anyone they can get away with, just like men will. i hate you neurotypicals who will report on neurodivergent/disabled folks for taking care of themselves in a way that doesn't fit in their worldview of what everyone "should" do. i hate you. i hate you. i hate you.
disclaimer: I am not talking about feminists that advocate against systemic sexism. i am talking about terfs, radfems, white feminists and exclusionary "feminists" that only advocate for white cisgender skinny women and ignore everyone else. please do not turn this post into what it's not.

Wow you are telling me that this neurodivergent furry trans person whose people got weirdly obsessed over to the point of being made into a lolcow and having thousands of pages in kiwifarms might have done something bad and have some mental health issues that problably were caused by the overexposure done tho them is "problematic"? WOOOOW 🫢🫢🫢🫢 I cant believe it 🙄.
Hey real quick, did you by chance were heavily invested in the undertale fandom around its release?

No one should ever let autism stop them from hitting the club. i like to hit the club in the most neurodivergent way possible. all i have to do is
- put all my important belongings (phone, keys, wallet) in my front pockets or in a fanny pack
- keep my hands in above pockets or on fanny pack AT ALL TIMES!!!!!! to make sure i’m not getting ROBBED!!!!!!! this helps alleviate some of the anxiety of being around so many strangers
- wear earplugs (the silicone kind that fit my ear holes and dont drive me fucking insane)
- stay completely sober the entire time (if i drink i get sleepy and then i want to go home)
- dance hard as fuck (it is dark so no one can judge how i behave inside my own skin) (you HAVE to go somewhere where the dj is halfway decent im begging you to support local djs who do cool music that makes you want to dance) (for me that is the only point of club)
and that is my play by play for enjoying the clurb as a sensory-seeking experience rather than a terrifying overstimulating nightmare !

See the thing is, everyone wants to be Good at Life. But the second you become Good at Life, you are immediately the least relatable person to ever exist.

Abled people don't realize that it's downright dangerous for disabled people to meet their expectations.
When an abled person expects something and a disabled person puts in the effort to accomplish what's expected, the single instance of meeting the expectation becomes evidence of it being effortless. It becomes expected more often.
Then, when they can no longer meet the expectation, either because there's something different this time or because they're already burned out from doing it many times already, the past successes are used as evidence that they're faking it now. Abled people will be like "you were able to do it before so you're able to do it now".
This causes disabled people to be afraid of succeeding at anything unless they know they can do it regularly.

Allistic privilege is never being told to "try harder" (or a variation on that theme). Allistic privilege is not being triggered by the phrase on the off chance it is something you are told.
Allistic privilege is knowing you've done everything you can to solve a problem. Allistic privilege is never having that problem be your own neurology and the way you consequently understand (or don't understand) things.
Allistic privilege is, despite knowing you've done your best, never wondering if the other person is right and you really COULD just try harder and solve the problem of your neurology.
Allistic privilege is never having your view of yourself be bone-deep hatred because there is no possible way to try hard enough to fix your neurology.

I'm so done with people. I don't understand how neurotypicals can behave the way they do and think their actions shouldn't affect other people and then get mad when they do /nbh
