Evolution of their narrative

I admit it. I also get confused as to what kind of couple Tae& Koo is supposed to be to their shippers.

When I first joined the fandom they were the “hidden couple”, and jikook was “fan service”, cause is what the masses demanded from BH/Bang PD.

It didn't take me long to realise that the "masses" in this fandom are actually the taek00kers (humaluvre is bigger than the majority of the most famous JK's focus accs) … So I've never really understood who the masses-asking-massively-for-"jikook"-content were 🤷‍♀️

Then, I read them that the big proof that taek00k was real was, precisely, that they couldn’t do all the things that jikook could do so well (you know, travel together only the two of them, stare at each other in rapt attention, sucking ears and necks, treat each other as a married couple, support each other to the fullest, holding hands whenever they have the opportunity…). The reason of them not doing all of these things was South Korea, since it is an homophobic country.

That’s why the company edited the content and didn't let them interact. It was all cuts and so on. Everything they did was private, and that's why there was no evidence, other than some witnesses of people with telescopic sight and facial recognition (maybe they were androids?)

I had more or less understood the narrative, until the LOVEGRAM era started, and that's when it all blew over!

Their insta accounts were no longer professional accounts (like twitter or weverse), but personal… and from then on, their selfies were some short of engagement pics or couple confirmation and their funny comments about boxing hooks were actually whipped messages of love.

Btw it seems South Korea was no longer homophobic at that time.

INSTAGRAM WAS THE LAW

When JK closed his Instagram account (forced by the company 😌) we were already in chapter 2. The lovegram didn't matter anymore…because Jungkook hanging out sometimes with Tae and wooga became the confirmation of what Instagram -in reality- failed to confirm. Never mind that their hanging out concentrated during some months when they both had more free time or that they actually just did what good friends do: having fun at the movies, bowling or skiing together with other friends… but hey, those tiny details don't matter in the great love story that is told.

And from there we move on to the part where the CHAOS really started, when the COMPANION SYSTEM news dropped

And guess what? Korea became homophobic again

Some said that they were forced to part ways (the company, the government, themselves because they wouldn't last a second without f?….). Gays dont enlist together they said.

Another line of argument was that Jimin had asked JK to enlist with him… I guess because he was going to be terrible at the military. LOL

But we all can sense that the most extended opinion was "I can't understand this plot twist for shit".

(Maybe the problem is they never understood their favs but that’s for another post)

And in the midst of CHAOS it was no longer possible to think of a new narrative...that's why the strategy became "attack". If they can't prove that their favourites are a couple, they'll go and debunk the rest.

At this point they don’t seem to care if ta3k00k is real or not… they simply choose not to surrender and ignore some facts. If they freaking ignored Jennie during a year, they will do the same with jikook being glued for 18 months.

So in the next months, we'll probably see part of fandom (solos and tkkers) attacking jikookers, and another part trying to ignore us. I fear the chaos will continue… pretty sure some toxic ones will watch the travel show just to diss jikook..

But we shouldn’t care too much because as we have seen, Jimin and Jungkook will never stop taking their decisions and behaving with authenticity

The boys have chosen their own path this year, not to please the majority of their fandom (jikookers are not the mass), but because they wanted to.

At the end of the day, they care about their fans, but we don’t own their lifes and they have shown us. And I applaud 👏 them

And yes, maybe their country and the careers they have chosen dont allow them to be fully free…. but they dont prevent them to stay one next to the other. They know how to choose the battles worth fighting for.

BFDIA 10 REVIEW!! (I literally got grounded at the moment it came out) (but I still have my laptop >:) )

SPOILERS AHEAD

- so I rewatched it and im not as upset anymore since I feel like they only had these ooc moments to make things silly

- did NOT like the switching scene for multiple reasons, (everyone was acting so ooc here, except pin, fries and GB) (coiny esp you're telling me my "woah bunch forever!!!!!! I want to manifest woah bunch everywhere!!" Coiny would voluntarily switch? FIRST UP at that?) (Pencil would never allow any other people to join her team) I'm hoping this is because its kinda early into BFDIA so like the development is still waiting to happen.

- however, there were some new interactions in this episode that I LOVED. I like how they tried new interactions this episode. I've always been knew that ruby and coiny would be such an awesome duo and look they were SO FUN TO WATCH!! Speaking of that, the references were awesome.

- on the other hand it felt random to see established enemies suddenly becoming besties and vice versa. It was probably for the sillies but it felt random.

- Fries is an IDGAF king and we love him for it. He basically enslaved needle and bomby and won 1v12 l. Bro gets funnier every episode (although dont do my girlie like that again)

- also it was so obvious he'd win?? Like what were they gonna do put him only in UFE??

- was kinda hoping for a TB arc, but it seems like there will be with the yoyleite?

- COINY!!! HE WAS SO FUN THIS EPISODE! I like how he can have fun with his team mates and also be helpful to the team. One of my fav aspects about him. Also that scene with BBQ sauce and pineapple with him?? Why did he look so stressed out? Bro got freaked out so much his voice became back to normal?? Hoping for an arc. BUT YE HE WAS A CUTIE THIS EP.

- everyone was a cutie this ep btw esp GB she's so tiny tiny.. that scene when they cried made me realise that they're probably so much tinier than us

- PINEAPPLE AND BBQ SAUCE. they were so cute. And I like BBQ sauce's friendship with coiny. I thought I'd never see him again :0 glad I did. Apparently pineapple is voiced by the idol of some, which is cool.

Till now it has had multiple adaptations including an donghua, manhua, live action as well as a chibi version and an audio drama.

I highly suggest to send your support for the novel through official sites but since a lot of people can't afford to buy the books or watch and listen to the adaptations because of different issues of their own, I will be linking the places where these are available for free so that no one has to go through much trouble finding them.

Just a reminder that some of these are not official sites where the adaptations were aired which technically makes them (slightly) illegal but that's too common in the fandom so if you're new no you're not going to jail. The mdzs donghua has 3 seasons having 15, 8 and 12 episodes respectively. The chibi version is called Mo Dao Zu Shi Q and has 30 episodes consisting of 5-6 mins each.

I do think that the romance is a bit subtle but it's there. You can feel it through the screen and it makes you swoon so bad. I'm completely in love with the drama. It's so beautifully done.

There is also a special edition of the drama with the same name which consists of 20 episodes with the duration time of almost an hour on each episode. It was made for international fans with a different ending and focuses more on the relationship btw our male leads instead of the plot. Some scenes have been cut and some have been added. 1. I don’t want to spoil my festival chapters, where fireworks are a plot point… let’s just say he doesn’t like the noise :)

2. Summer vacations are all inclusive resorts…I regret to say that Zenitsu is at one of those daycares all day, having the worst time while the Uzui’s are drinking and eating to their hearts’ content.

3. Uzui: fully prepared to explain in detail until the wives intervene.

Suma: tries to tell some kind of stork-related story, but Makio keeps interrupting and adding dirty details.

Hinatsuru: goes for the full “when parents love each other” explanation which Zenitsu doesn’t really believe, considering he doesn’t know where his “real” parents are. In the end Tengen says “don’t worry about it” and for some reason that works?

4. Zenitsu would LOVE noise canceling headphones. 99% of all Zenitsu freak-outs could be solved with noise cancelling headphones. This feels like something Gramps would suggest tbh, I don’t think Tengen himself would make the connection.

5. Tengen digs a giant hole and just puts Zenitsu in it. He cannot climb out and occasionally water fills it but not enough to drown him. Tengen is now free to tan and drink all day and just occasionally make sure the kid didn’t drown. Any time someone tries to take him out of The Hole™️, Tengen insists he’s watching him and that Zenitsu likes it (he does not)

6. Tengen does not strike me as a dog person. But weaponizing Suma’s tears as well as his own? Zentisu has a decent shot as getting a dog. Probably one that need a lot of grooming.

She's nothing but a punching bag used to show the audience that no matter what, Chloe will always be Astrucs punching bag to try and prove to other peoples potential development, thoughts and ideas for her wrong. And now thanks to that. That's turned her into a literal contradiction of her own character.

*sigh* well atleast Astruc doesn't really write anymore in season 6. Chloé's character cannot go back to what was and I don't expect her to but they can at the very least write her an actual goal as a villain Instead of just making Marinette the vain of her existence for no reason.

NO... no! They are not making ANOTHER The Crow remake in fucking 2024!!

As if the other 3 movies & weird series weren't already enough?? The original movie is one of my favs (+ the comics). That's why people showered me with all the other movies too, thinking I might be interested in them. Couldn't even finish movie 4 because it was so dumb. The second movie was still okayish. Can't remember the third. The series was kinda low budged fantasy crime drama version but had it's charm.

Seeing the trailer of the remake.... they could at least make it another part in the universe (different characters) and not a REMAKE (same characters redesigned). This new one looks more like a sci-fi Joker movie... They didn't even give Eric his long hair... my siblings in hell, he is/was literally in a rock band! That's part of his character!

Now to this face tattooed Suicide Squad Joker version of him... they really make this into this generic modern overused super-anti-hero version...... He looks like he's into gangster rap now and fresh out of jail.

Another thing that bothers me with ALL the parts that come after the original... the makeup choice is such a PERSONAL choice for Eric Draven. It is based on a harlequin mask he joked around with his fiancé. But every other following The Crow main character got this make up too which doesn't make sense!

At least it looks like they are trying to get closer to the comic version now with the remake. There is a skeleton cowboy in the comics that never made it into the movies. He explains the rules and connection with the crow. They seem to have that character now in the new movie... but he's not a skeleton in this movie either... just some dude. It would have been more compelling, if it was all different characters in the same universe, like they did with the other movies at least.

THE ONLY inspired by The Crow story I like is the book "The Crow: The Lazarus Heart" by Poppy Z. Brite. It's about a gay couple, where one of them got killed by a serial killer and the other (who was a SM photographer) got wrongfully sentenced to death for this crime on his boyfriend. He then gets resurrected by the crow and takes revenge and solves the crime. If they would make THAT book into a movie I would be so here for it. But people would freak out that they make The Crow woke now... even though that book is from 1998 (btw written by a transman as I found out now!)

Like Leo and Raph, she also lies about her fav musical. She says it’s Little Shop of Horrors, and she does like it. The Dentist song cracks her up. But her favorite is Anastasia because it hits close to home. See lyrics above. She also lost her real family at a young age, and didn’t know the truth until she was 16. (Also, Anya is my dream role. I got to see the show on tour!)

Shinigami

It’s my headcanon that Mona loves movies once Raph introduces her to them, so I think she’d like movie musicals more than stage musicals. Her favorite is Mulan. As a soldier herself, she respects how the film takes war seriously while still having uplifting and even funny moments throughout.

Jekyll and Hyde is a musical about murder, the duality of man, and tragic romance, all things that appeal to Lotus Blossom, an assassin with difficult experiences in romance. (Jekyll and Hyde was my favorite musical back when I first got into TMNT, too! Still is a favorite.)
