Tarot Spread: New Moon Solar Eclipse

Twice a year, the New Moon is not just close to the sun's position in the sky (from Earth's perspective) but in front of the sun, blocking its light.

For that reason, the New Moon Solar Eclipse tarot spread builds off the core concepts of the New Moon tarot spread I created a few months back. But I've modified the spread to bring in a few eclipse considerations.

The eclipse cycle is longer than a lunar cycle, and the eclipses are tied to the Nodes, which are about karmic lessons. The North Node's placement in your natal chart represents the way of being you are destined to explore and come to understand in this lifetime, whereas the South is what you know from past lives and which it is time to shed. We tend to be uncomfortable in North Node zones, but they're rich for our personal growth and development.

This year, we have a total solar eclipse happening in Aries (there's also a tarot spread for the New Moon in Aries, further down) at 29° Aries 49' on April 20, 2023,

12:12AM US Eastern Time. The North Node is still moving out of Taurus and into Aries, so this eclipse on the cusp of those signs might be a little extra uncomfortable, so take your time before rushing into things. Remember that Aries can release fiery hastiness once Taurus arrives a few hours after the eclipse. Enjoy chilling.

Pay extra attention, for with the speed you can will your goals into being you're prone to easy mistakes and overlooking things when you may feel overwhelmed. So pay attention to the changes around you, your situation, your partnership and friendships. There's freedom, don't let it become a pit fall.

How can I support myself in my intentions? Lovers

Careful choosing between two options, sacrificing lesser ideals over higher goals. Letting love saturate your being and allowing it to soften your eyes. Being realistic and careful where you're headed, maybe choosing personal growth within a relationship. Having the support, allowing for the inclusion of your partner in your chosen path. Supporting one another is better than struggling through change alone.
