rachel has always been an overachiever, joining club after club, spearheading group projects to the point where she just does them herself, etc. back in high school she had the excuse that it was to get into a good college. now it's simply a habit that she can't break. if her hand isn't up first in class when the teacher asks a question then something is seriously wrong.

rachel knows she's unpopular and she's very much aware of why (she can be too much for people sometimes and she's very focused on her own future, to the detriment of those around her), but it does weigh on her. she is more insecure than one might imagine and she longs to have some of the college experiences that movies have popularized.

her insecurity does not extend to her talent. she knows that she's too good for small town ohio and it kills her that she's wasting away some of her precious ingenue years, but college show choir is a real way to get attention. and it's important to have the training that a college like mckinley provides on a resume, even if one doesn't actually need it.

rachel likes to be in control of situations. she doesn't drink or consume any mind-altering substances and she gets the proper amount of sleep each night so she's always sharp. she has her routines and she's perfected them. however, if her control of a situation starts to slip, there's no knowing what she'll do.

Odette amelia faye was born on a cold winter night in mid january, where her parents recall the ice on the road making it a very difficult drive to the hospital. Born to Camille and Charles Faye, Odette was their first child whose arrival was a bit of surprise for the couple, well couple was a very generous term for the two.

Camille was a young women visiting for europe and very new to the states when she met the older wealthier gentlemen, only four years older, Charles Faye at the restaurant she was serving in.

It didn't take long before the two of them started up a flirtation which of course lead to casual late night dinner dates, and well you can probably guess where that lead to.

What started off as a very causal fling turned very serious the second the little plastic stick revealed the two hadn't been very cautious, and their lives were going to change in a very real way.

The two did their best to stay together, but they very real reality that camille and charles just didn't know each other very well began to show the cracks in the already very fragile relationship.

so by the time odette had turned two years old, her mother was already living in her own apartment and odette was bouncing between her mother's small studio and her father's more spacious town home.

Charles had come from a family that was always comfortable in the upper class, and always looked down on the free spirited, artist type that was her mother Camille.

Growing up Odette often lived between these two very different worlds comfortable, she enjoyed being spoiled by her father and his wealth and enjoyed the carefree lifestyle that her mother provided.

As a result Odette is a blend of her two parents, a women who loves a fresh manicure but who will also enjoy painting with a glass of wine after a long day. She loves good food, but can't cook to save her life.

She's a blend of high maintenance and carefree, she looks tough and serious like a deep red color, but beneath her surface is a soft pink that is a lot more fragile than she would ever let on.

Never having a steady relationship of love growing up Odette grew up swearing she would never let a relationship change or define her. She kept her walls up and kept most relationships at arms reach. She had goals and ambition and love was never something she kept deep on her radar. (of course this didn't always work)

Soapbox: I Miss My Buddies, But I Don't Wish To Kill Them

I extremely doubt any of the people studying this have the ability to change anything within the games industry, but just in case: my thesis right here is that the world is craving online co-op games, and it is crazy that we don't have more of them. Or, a minimum of, extra of them that don't contain capturing my buddies within the face, or hanging out with strangers.

Think about all the success tales of the past yr. Among Us: a competitive on-line co-op sport about betrayal, sabotage, and mendacity to your folks. Valheim: a web based multiplayer sport about constructing cool Viking homes together with your Viking buddies, and combating dragons collectively. Animal Crossing: New Horizons: a game about constructing extraordinarily cute villages, and inviting buddies to cling out in them.

What do all of them have in frequent? The flexibility to grasp out with buddies, in a time when hanging out with buddies is sort of illegal. It does not take a genius science-tist to figure out that this enforced social distancing is making us all crave dialog like never before, and I do not even need to do any research to let you know that shares of Zoom, Discord, and Skype are probably at an all-time excessive because of them being the main methods of communication during a pandemic.

But I do know this: the pandemic isn't the one purpose I wish to play video games with my pals online, but I am glad we're all on the identical page now.

You see, I used to live in jolly previous England, and a lot of my buddies have been made when i lived in London. That was about five years in the past, and since then, I've moved to Canada, and a variety of them have moved, too - to Germany, Sweden, New Zealand, Australia, and, most exotic of all, Manchester. Twenty years in the past, our best likelihood of staying in contact would have been MSN Messenger, or maybe pigeons. Twenty years in the past is a very long time, and simultaneously not lengthy at all.

These days, I can discuss to my buds on Instagram about their latest cooking adventures, make enjoyable of them on Twitter once they post an old picture of themselves in a horrible hat, and chat to them on Discord a couple of silly video I believed they'd take pleasure in. I play Dungeons and Dragons with buddies in London every Saturday; I often hold out in a coworking name with chums in Texas and Michigan; I work with a bunch of lads who largely dwell in and round my unique hometown of Loughborough. I have been fortunate enough to make mates all over the world, however now I am unlucky sufficient to be separated from most of them by oceans, mountains, and house. Such is the way in which of life, lately.

Fortunately, Nintendo seems to be on the ball for as soon as with regards to recognising the people's desire to play online. Granted, they don't seem to be horrible at it - they made Splatoon, after all - but the janky Nintendo Swap Online app was an odd attempt to keep on-line activity in-home, when most individuals would moderately flip to Discord or similar software that was built for the only real goal of online communication.

Recently, the Japanese powerhouse launched an update for Super Mario Social gathering that provides online play to the sport - an unimaginable addition that seems as generous as it's shocking. Or, perhaps more cynically, they realised that a sofa co-op recreation won't promote in a pandemic, the place couches are getting about as much use as shoes, workplaces, and mouth-operated doors.

Both method, though, I am going to get to play yet one more recreation about betrayal and sabotage with my buddies, now that we have exhausted Valheim (although now we have moved onto Astroneer, which can be wonderful). I am hoping that recreation developers will do the sport developer thing of seeing the success of a game, and instantly trying to replicate it; if we're fortunate, we'll start seeing some fantastic new online co-op games in the marketplace in two to five years.

And, sure, I would choose those video games to not have guns. There are a wealth of online multiplayer shootgames available on the market, and for whatever motive, I've by no means really been able to get into them. Maybe it's the truth that numerous them are uninteresting settings for me - I don't actually fancy being in a warzone, but I'm also not particularly received over by the extra sci-fi settings of Future and Overwatch, both - but it's extra probably the truth that I need to play online with mates, not strangers.

In Valheim, Astroneer, Among Us, and now Tremendous Mario Social gathering, the gates are closed round our little community. The monsters are monsters, and the one different enemies are your friends. There's https://9ll.org/ superpowered 15-yr-previous who's been playing Fortnite his complete life and could beat me along with his eyes closed. There is not any risk that someone with Degree Twenty Billion armour will fart in my direction, killing my Degree Six character immediately. I tried to get on board with Future during the early pandemic days, however I felt like a child on their first day of school, finding out that everybody else is aware of superior calculus and I am still struggling with the alphabet.

(Sure, I do know, Among Us is technically about killing your mates - however we take it in turns, you understand? It's different.)

Take Minecraft, for instance. It's been over ten years since Minecraft got here out, and since it's now a multi-million greenback trade all by itself, folks keep attempting to reinvent that cube-shaped wheel. And I don't thoughts! But what makes Minecraft great is the feeling that the world is yours to create, explore, and shape, and that feeling is made even higher with mates. If I logged into my world and noticed some rando burning all my crops and teabagging my pet cats, you may wager I'd stop taking part in.

The video games that I've named thus far vary fairly considerably when it comes to what you do, and whether or not you do it with or in opposition to somebody, however, typically, all of those video games have one thing in widespread: they all feel like taking part in a board recreation with a bunch of pals. They all have that "Saturday night hangout" feeling, where the stakes are low for a lot of the sport, and then, out of the blue, the stakes are sky-high - but you all come together to beat those stakes time and again till the game ends.

I would love to have extra experiences like this. I love the emergent storytelling of getting repeatedly murdered by wolves in Valheim, pulling off an inexpert lie in Amongst Us, and exhibiting off my stroll-by aquarium in Minecraft before getting poisoned to dying by my own pufferfish. I love messing around with my friends - who're all people I have chosen to keep around, as a result of I like them - and not having to worry about some doinkus ruining the enjoyable.

Nyx/Mal - daughter of maleficent and hades. is your typical goth with a scathing sense of sarcasm. she comes off as blunt and snarky, but she is unwaveringly loyal to her friends. nyx fears that she is unlovable, and that she is trapped as the daughter of maleficent. but there’s a lot more to her than she realizes.

Princess Hilda/Evie - daughter of the evil queen grimhilde. a flirty girl with swagger, hilda hides her deep insecurities about her looks with a confident attitude. it doesn’t help that her mom has such unrealistic beauty standards that she expects her daughter to keep to. rigorous diets can’t change her natural body weight, hours of flat-ironing can only straighten her curly hair for so long, and she cannot choose her own clothes. hilda finds relief in nyx, whose laid-back attitude helps her unwind and enjoy life. 

Carlos de Vil - son of cruella de vil. treated like a pet rather than a son, carlos is used to waiting on his mother like a servant. he’s incredibly anxious, especially around dogs, which cruella had conditioned him to fear. despite what his cruel mother tells him, carlos is a bright and brilliant boy with a penchant for solving puzzles and coming up with great ideas. he’s sometimes pushed around by nyx and the others, but he knows they’d do anything for him.

Jamal/Jay of Agrabah - son of jafar. jamal is a master of manipulation and wit. trained by his father in the art of trickery, jamal is cunning and always gets what he wants from anyone. jafar wants him to take over agrabah someday, but jamal is more interested in setting up his own dream kingdom, where hunger and poverty is a thing of the past. he’s not one to mess around like a bumbling politician, he’s here to make a change.

Happy Kisaversary Everyone!

Hello to all new and old followers!

We're very happy to announce that it has now been a full year since Kisame's Corner was made live! If you were around before we changed our name, you'd know that we were the group behind Kisame Week 2021 (and we have some exciting news regarding that coming up!) but I have a few things I want to say first.

First, thank you so so much to all who have participated with us this past year. We are so happy and thankful to have such a wonderful group of people to talk to and share with, and you all make everything so wonderful. Who knew that such a loving and supportive community would come out of Kisame Hoshigaki, the love of all our lives?

The events that we ran this past year were all made possible by everyone's submissions and participation, and you may not have participated in any of them, you may have just read along, or cheered from the sidelines, but you were the ones that made everything possible. And we couldn't be more thankful for all that you've done.

Second, I want to give a massive shoutout to sharkfam, the lovelies that convene on discord to yell about our beloved shark man. Sharkfam has been with us through it all, since the start of this blog, Kisame Week, through the rain and shine that 2021 and now some of 2022 has brought us. They've provided feedback for other members, helpful advice, they talk amongst each other about things that bother them, things that they enjoy, and most importantly, their own ideas and works. I am forever grateful for this group of people and it could not have been possible without the love and support that they offer to those around them.

I do adore your gay Lucky in Love rewrite. But I do wonder how you do a rewrite within the actual episode. Such as Dash's POV of the water park shenanigans (I'm convinced that that the water guns are filled with soda, to get the sprayie sticky) and Dash's POV of the "We're dating now!" hallway moment (maybe Kawn can ask Dash if he's okay) and begrudgingly acknowledging that "Paulina" likes Danny (the look on Dash's face and the "jerk, I mean pal")

I would say that the thing that ought to be redone in Lucky in Love is the characters motivations, for nearly all of them at points in the episode.

I do not buy that Johnny would have wondering eyes when he so devoted to Kitty, and the whole "to make the ex jealous" is a lame trope and Kitty was way to affectionate to Danny for that. I would buy that moving from the ghost zone to the real world is stressful adjustment (hiding from the Fenton ghost hunters and such) could inspire fights and they break-up. And Kitty tries to be on her own for awhile but doesn't know how to handle that, and gets re-bound feelings for the only other eligible ghost-boy around (which Shadow catches wind of which makes him furious and he tries to kill Danny before Kitty make "horrible mistake"). Kitty should have purposefully picked Paulina to possess because she's a high-profile girl who Danny is already crushing on and mean enough to "not deserve" to be in control. And when Danny finds out the truth, I think Kitty could have added the threat of physically hurting if he didn't comply (such as I like Kitty, she has zero qualms about completely taking over others girls lives and expending them, which is scary).

The A-list being a literal exclusive club with limited members is too dumb to be silly. But friend groups splintering and shifting due to one or more friends changing, or when newly-dating teens unintentionally neglect their friendships, is something I do buy. Dash could be so livid about his best-female-friend suddenly and inexplicably dating his crush that he becomes unbearable to be around even for Kwan, who might want to try to make new friends, and give Sam and Tucker a try.

As for Danny, when he found out that Paulina was being possessed by a girl ghost the whole time, it seemed that his initial concern was getting Paulina back in control of her own body, which is the correct response. But then it shifted to him feeling "suffocated" by Kitty. His discomfort should have stayed on the fact that Paulina was being dated against her will, which should make Danny feel sick with guilt.

This turned out longer than expected. You can pick and choose what to respond to if at all.

(tl;dr for anyone who doesn’t know my lucky-in-love-but-gay rewrite:

Johnny and Kitty are taking a couples’ break, and Shadow, who feeds on romance, is whining like a spoiled dog about it. Shadow goes to find another hopeless romantic to possess to eat up love, and encounters Dash watching the romance channel. Dash gets more and more flirtatious, ghostly, and adopts a biker aesthetic as Shadow pulls at his emotions; not fully possessing him, but amplifying his feelings. Shenanigans ensue when Dash can’t decide if he has a bigger crush on Phantom or Fenton. Danny has to find a way to get Shadow out of Dash before Dash becomes reliant on him. Kitty needs to get Shadow back because, if Johnny doesn’t have Shadow, he becomes much more vulnerable.

this is all super fucking inch resting and im publishing this so the rest of the world can see but like generally speaking i think lucky in love is a shit fucking episode all around and it really can’t be saved. johnny and kittys dynamic is so petty and so inherently “Haha i hate my wife right boomers” that I cannot accept it as a way anyone would actually act and for that I don’t think the episode could ever really be “good.” I like to think of johnny and kitty as hapless mushy lovebirds. their only ‘couple fights’ are saying things like

Danny: Woah hey let’s not fight here.... does this count as fighting?

Kitty: YOU spent the entire day I was sick making me food even though you had a BOYS NIGHT planned!

Johnny: YOU’RE just a BEAUTIFUL LOVING PERFECT PERSON! And now Shadow’s a glutton for ROMANCE!

Kitty: Well maybe if YOU weren’t so SELF SACRIFICIAL and full of UNBRIDLED CARE AND INTIMACY he WOULDN’T BE!

If you want to rewrite Lucky in Love, to me, you have two options: absolutely decimate canon, or work within it. Decimating canon (ie, making Dash gay) comes with also deconstructing Johnny and Kitty’s toxic relationship into something actually worth rooting for, which in turn unravels the entire episode because the premise is... it’s a bad relationship. If you want to work within canon, the episode as is is pretty much the best you can get, because no way in hell would they let Dash be gay in canon.

While your takes are interesting, it’s not the kind of media I personally would like; the whole “Kitty could have added the threat of physically hurting if he didn't comply“ doesn’t sit well with me at all, so I can’t say it’s something I would ever engage with, personally.

Also, I don’t need canon to be 100% serious all the time, personally I love the bit about the A-Listers having a formal club with like, paperwork and stuff, it’s genuinely funny and also provides a nice clean-cut metaphor for how Danny as an “unpopular” kid might view the way the popular kids work. I don’t think the writers thought that was actually how popular kids work, I think they were playing with it and expanding on how a kid might see it.

You’re right that the focus of the episode should have been on Paulina’s bodily autonomy, which I think the OG was lacking in even as is because we didn’t get anything from Paulina’s POV; she’s treated more as a prop than a person, which, yikes.

But in summary, while this is interesting, none of it is how I would rewrite lucky in love if given the chance; if canon-divergent, I’d probably tweak the biker dash concept; if canon-compliant, I’d try to make it more of a jokey episode, maybe making the conflict between Kitty and Johnny a “I have to get him a secret birthday present without him knowing” instead of a “I am going to make him jealous by cheating on him.”

List of apps that improve life

The emergence of technology is a milestone of society and there is no denying that it had brought many great contributions to improve the quality of people’s lives. From prompting the invention of innovative machineries and equipment, providing access to wider connection channels such as the internet, to creating smart devices so convenient and easily accessed by a simple click from a mouse or tap of a finger. Technology did not just enhance tools of industries but it also took programming and coding to a new level. Thus, the development of interactive applications and programs--which brings us to the main purpose of this post.

The items below is a list of applications that would help better one’s well-being mentally and physically, allowing them to enjoy living much more. These apps would be categorized in my take on the important aspects of life. Such includes: education, productivity, health and fitness, and relationships.

EDUCATION

It is a process of learning. It is receiving knowledge and wisdom essential for survival, or to simply, get by. 

Khan Academy

From personal experience, this app was very useful. It basically helped me throughout high school. I would not have passed all my chemistry and math subjects without this. The app offers well-explained lecture videos and courses which also includes practice tests and activities. It gives proper pointers and evaluations just to help students really understand the topics. 

Elevate

Elevate is a brain training app that aims to improve proficiencies in writing, reading, listening, speaking, and mathematics. Other than using Khan Academy, I used this app to not only develop the skills stated above, but also in processing information. I could say that I would not have been this fluent in English if I was not introduced to the app. This, I highly recommend if one ever wants to boost their abilities in such fields. A bonus is that training sessions come in a form of games that really gets your attention with the outstanding graphics and animations.

PRODUCTIVITY

Google Keep (Notes)

It is an effective note taking app, very convenient and easily understood at first glance. Till this day, I still use it, It helps store reminders, lecture notes from school, as well as to-do lists and grocery items when I do need them. Overall, Google Keep offers a an excellent service in organizing and listing important notes. I would rate it a 5 out of 5.

Evernote

Evernote, like Google Keep, is also a note-taker and organizer. It also functions as a daily planner and task manager. Google results show it is one of the best note-taking apps ever. I have used this before and I will not argue with the claim. It is indeed, very useful.

HEALTH AND FITNESS

For this category, information gathered was from the internet and not from personal experience. Apps related to this aspect are the following:

MyFitness Pal

What I read about this is that it is a calorie-counter which works well in keeping track of how many calories you take in per day. I find that it helps maintain a consistent workout and diet plan. 

PEAR Personal Fitness Coach

With the name alone, the purpose of such app is easily noticed. It is like a personal trainer in your pocket. Keeps track of steps taken or laps if one ever goes jogging. It is a motivator for people who includes workout activities and exercises in their lifestyle.

Of course, there are many apps that offer similar services as Messenger such as Instagram, Telegram, Discord, Twitter, and others, but in my experience. This app is what I mainly use to sustain a level of connection with my friends and family so I listed it here as one of my top recommended apps for building and strengthening relationships.

aoki imojen was born to understand what it was to live a life with no structure. her father was part of a rising band in the 90s, toured all over small venues in japan that they slowly rose to a known local name, and imojen has seen all the chaos unfold from backstage in the arms of her mom. however, slowly transitioning into the year of 2000s, the economy was still struggling from the lost decade and the income from touring never sufficed for a growing family. imojen’s father was forced to leave the music scene with the help of her mother’s influence: “it’s time to be serious”; and work multiple jobs in order to fully provide for his first child and the another growing one inside his wife’s womb. 

growing up, imojen’s no stranger to music and her father loved to introduce rock music and bands to imojen’s upbringing. she adored b’z and the gazette, and it leaves no doubt that imojen’s father had been her greatest influence in life. as she grew older, not only did they share identical music preferences and influences, but imojen’s learned to play various instruments— the bass being her favorite. imojen’s also stemmed from that infamous reckless behavior his father’s known for back in the day, and when the teenage years came, so did the impetuous reputation begin. 

imojen and her mother aren’t exactly as close as she was with her father. in fact, their relationship was a toe out of the civil line. it got worse when imojen started to focus on the band she created with friends instead of school and late night practices turned to never returning home for a few days and having the audacity to blatantly lie when asked where she was when asked. it’s hard not to blame her mother when she assumed things for the worst. imojen’s gone quite defiant especially when she discovered that her and her father’s relationship had began to run askew. imojen blames her mother’s interference with her father’s music career as much as her father did, she loved him so much that she was completely blindsided to always take his side. and when the divorce papers came and went, imojen chose her father as she always would. 

her father got a job as a musician locally and eventually overseas, however, money didn’t come by so fast and easy initially. instead of going to university, imojen invested in learning the arts in tattoo design and worked as a tattoo artist to help with the bills. the pair finally thought to settle in korea when imojen’s father got a permanent job. and at this time, imojen has decided to try pursue a career as a musician as well, hoping that the thrill in her early band days are still well stored in her system.

imojen can never be satisfied of living in the same area for so long, or at least under the roof with the watchful eye of her father. work’s payed well and imojen decided to move out and get an apartment of her own. hence, she found dallyeog, parties almost every single day, drags everyone into spontaneous adventures, comes home terribly drunk and wakes up with a huge hangover—well, still pretty normal. aside from the norm, imojen working at the tattoo parlor and taking gigs at bars as a bassist, imojen’s investing in writing music as well. she hopes one day to finally finish at least one song she’s been procrastinating for far too long and convince her father to make them a rock duo instead, but a band of her own would fantastic too.

imojen looks quite mean at first glance, and it doesn’t help that she’s indifferent towards anyone who isn’t part of already her friend. she doesn’t hate, hate is such a strong word, she simply doesn’t have the attention span for people that don’t interest her or she doesn’t know fully well to enjoy a conversation with.

honestly has the gina linetti energy “how was i supposed to know there’d be consequences for my actions” as she literally does anything she wants before her brain can even weigh the pros and cons to it.

imojen enjoys taking risks despite the relaxed attitude and seemingly nonchalant view in life. it might be a surprise to learn that she’s quite ambitious, but underneath, she does aim for the highs (both meanings) in life, except there isn’t exactly a time frame for those and would much rather pursue them steadily. 

everyone can depend on imojen to have a good time, or if someone needed a friend to vent to, she can surprisingly be all ears, but never follow her words of advice. she does mean well, it’s just that she doesn’t know what she’s saying half the time and is quite reckless,, like ask her to pick between two choices and she’ll advice you to take the riskier one bc “it’s fun don’t be a prude”.

she is more sympathetic than she let on. imojen’s not very vocal especially with her emotions and on what she exactly feels about other people’s situation. serious conversations? catch her yeet away from those. they render her uncomfortable, most especially if it is about her. however, seeing her friends gloomy doesn’t sit right with her that she does anything to make them crack a smile. 

believes that people should be left to roam free and that authority is useless and ruins the fun— hence why she’d always be caught defying them. yes, she uses her brain, but acts more towards intuition and what she felt like doing that day. so yes, she might loves setting her life on the line.

ZIMVOID KING ARC - Headcanons and Facts for the AU

So! I spent a few days working on headcanons and facts about my Invader Zim AU, the Zimvoid King ARC (or ZKA for short). All written along side of installment three, "Dark Claws of a King", and now here on the net to burn your eyeballs, here's the master post on the ZKA facts and ideas I've recently spawned for the AU. Enjoy!

   ~   ZIB RELATED    ~ Facts that mainly surround the cockroach (and i'm pretty sure the majority of this post mentions this guy).

-Zib has fobidden himself to go on any adventures involving Zim. He's decided that it's not his place to try to stop a version of the Irken that is not his own. Plus, he's a merger. (This is all just nonsense he tells himself. The real reason is that he doesn't want to get involved with that shit all over again. PTSD and stuff, yanno?)

-Zib has a real problem with keeping his hands from doing things. He's actually gotten a Rubrix Cube to keep his hands occupied, and he keeps the cube in one of his pockets at all times in case he needs it. It's probably due to a deep, insatiable urge he has to build, build, build; creating his mech, modifying Voot Cruisers and such... once he'd had nothing else to make, he'd been left with an itch in his hands.

-Zib can also be seen tinkering with some forgotten technology Professor Membrane has laying around. The professor has actually only caught Zib doing this once; the roach had almost finished with an invention Membrane was only preparing to start working on.

-Zib's senses are all heightened and improved. His eyesight has never been more perfect, his hearing (despite his obvious lack of ears) has never been clearer, and though he regrets having it, he does happen to have a perfect sense of smell. So he knows if something stinks, it fucking reeks. Ugh. Awful, dude.

-Sometimes Dib will be like "Oh, lookit us, we're a couple of Dibs, ain't that cool" and then Zib does something very Zim-like and he goes "Fuck, I totally forgot he does that".

   ~   PAK!ZIM RELATED   ~ Facts that mainly surround PAK!Zim.

-Zib and PAK!Zim occasionally do something I like to call "syncing", where the two act and think as one entity, one mind instead of two. When synced, these two can be caught using terms like "us" and "we". Neither of them knows how this works, but I like to think it's like fusing in Steven Universe, minus the dancing and stuff; any distruptions to their sync (like if one of them really doesn't like something), they become two minds opposed to one again.

I like to think this is syncing in a nutshell:

   ZIB: We'd love to!    DIB: We?    ZIB: aw shit    P!ZIM: nice going genius

Zib finds syncing to be very relaxing. PAK!Zim likes how powerful syncing feels, even if he won't provide a comment on it.

-These two may have overcome their differences (well, were forced to), but Zib and PAK!Zim are still a Zim and Dib duo. From time to time, their little playful fighting turns into a real spat, and in the Zimvoid, it always hurt Zib whenever PAK!Zim tried to pull the silent treatment on the bug boy.

-PAK!Zim still occasionally threatens Zib that he may dig one of his PAK legs into the roach child's shoulders again. He feels too weirdly guilty about doing it the first time (as mentioned in the first installment of ZKA, "King of a Barren World"), so he'll never actually do it... but Zib doesn't know that.

-PAK!Zim calls Zib "stinkbug", since I thought that was more fitting, as people do call him a roach (this is especially true for me). He's a little cockroach.

-PAK!Zim can only talk in Zib's head. Zib once wondered if PAK!Zim's voice is real, or if it's false. He quickly remembered that inner voices you typically have in your head cannot change volume. PAK!Zim can yell, and it gives Zib headaches and nosebleeds every time he does. PAK!Zim often tries not to yell when the duo are around other people; both are worried if people would think the PAK is ruining his head, and they don't want to know what could happen.

-PAK!Zim has terrible eyesight. And by that, I mean he can't see. The only time he can see anything is when he and Zib are synced. Neither of them really mind it, but they always try to avoid syncing when Zib's showering. Despite how comfortable they are with each other when synced, that is the only discomfort both of them have. They just... I dunno, I'm kinda getting uncomfortable about it myself.

-Zib finds himself to be weirdly possessive over PAK!Zim. Maybe it's because that he sees the sentient robotic backpack to be an anchor for him when shit's getting tough. Having had four years to get over their differences, Zib has actually befriended the PAK and doesn't know what he would have done without someone to talk to all that time.

-To branch off that last one, I have the firm belief that because of Zib's weird attachment to the PAK fused to the back of his head, Zib would probably cease to function if PAK!Zim is ever removed. Ever since PAK!Zim officially woke up, Zib has developed this seemingly comfortable, permanent sense of knowing that someone is there for him, will always be there and they're not going to leave him alone because guess what? PAK!Zim has no choice but to go wherever Zib goes. He occasionally forgets that, though.

The idea of having the PAK (his PAK) removed terrifies him; you'd be tearing that feeling of never truly being lonely away from him. Removing the PAK would remove his buddy, his pal, his Zim. He'd be lost, confused, alone, and he'd have no idea what to do. It's just him by himself all over again, no one else. Plus, who knows what else could happen to Zib? What if it turned out he relied on the PAK to survive, and removing it could potientially kill him? Neither PAK!Zim or Zib are willing to see what could happen.

TL;DR: Take away the PAK, and Zib gets crippling depression and he might die.

-Though he can't see, PAK!Zim can hear pretty damn well (even if he barely listens half the time).

-No one else knows that PAK!Zim is alive. Dib wants the PAK removed because he thinks that if they remove it, Zib's thoughts will stop being so... "corrupted". In his own mind's eye, Dib thinks that if they remove the PAK, it'll be helping Zib, but what he doesn't realize it would absolutely DESTROY Zib's mentality.

   ~   FAMILY RELATED   ~ Facts that involve the Membrane family as a whole.

-The fact that his other son has claws perplexes Professor Membrane to no end. He pretty much tried to see if he could study Zib's weird claws once he found out about them. So far, what he's found out from his studies is that Zib's claws are really fucking sharp and they really hurt (mentioned in installment three of ZKA, "Dark Claws of a King").

-More facts on the stinkbug because yes, Zib has another huge problem: it turns out rants from his "brother" Dib helps Zib conk right the fuck out. It unfortunately works every time.

-Zib, Dib and Gaz just... they kinda see themselves as siblings, even though Zib and Dib are just alternate versions of one another. After a while, they kinda got over it and now it's just:

"This is my brother! I have a brother! We're brothers! We're practically twins! See this? This guy right here? Him? That's <my> brother. I love my brother, and I'll kick your fucking ass into the goddamn dirt if you insult him in front of me." (this is all just from zib btw.)

   ~   GOOFY   ~ Facts that are INTENDED to be goofy.

-For whatever reason, I enjoy the idea of Zib having a weird addiction to eating sticks of butter. Yes, his new family decides to have an intervention about Zib's addiction, but it totally fuckin' flops, so they end up having to try to hide the butter and cut him off from it instead. (they gave up trying when it all disappeared from its hiding spot later that very same day.)

   ~   IDK FACTS   ~ Facts that I've no clue where they should go.

-On Keef in ZKA: the little red head has actually mellowed out now that he's a teen. He still adores his friends, but he's calmer, not as clingy, and is an excellent listener, so he'll let Zib ramble, but will occasionally interrupt to ask questions. He's like Zib's mini therapist.

-I like the idea of Keef being bisexual.

-"King of a Barren World" was posted on the fifteenth of May, but Archive kinda fucked up and it says I published it on the sixteenth.

-This AU was made by accident. And by that, I thought up a scenario, wrote about it, thought up another scenario and wrote about that one too, and then found out people actually liked this nonsense I was writing, so it's an AU now and forever -or at least until I die-.

Hello! I’m looking for some rp partners on here since quarantine has really got me back into rp! Before this starts, I only rp on discord (atm) but I think I could make instagram work as well if you prefer that! 

I’ll do any ship really as long as it isn’t abusive or something that makes me uncomfortable, but I can’t assure you that I’ll be good at every character unfortunately.  My usual reply will be something with an average of around 200 words, but I try my best to do as much as my partner does... just don’t expect me to write super long replies with a bunch of paragraphs, those rps are fun but I don’t have the concentration to write so much all the time.  Long-Term rps are fine! But normally I like to start a new plot after about a month or so of our rp going on unless I’m super into our plot! Be careful out there kiddos

So bit of a long story but I think its funny. There's a scam going around. Ive seen it once but its its highly likely there are more. Basically a person asks you if you would like a sugar momma. Mine offered 300-500$ a week. I was obviously suspicious. But im very broke and still out of a job so I figured what the hell, couldnt hurt to look into it.

I started by going to the person's tumblr. It seemed super legit, like they even had resonable responses to reblogs. So either its a well put together scam, or it just a lonley ass person. I used a fake number to text the number they provided.

They said their name was Hannah Lenmont age 49 from San Francisco. They were suposedly devorced with no kids, and an investment analyst who just wanted someone to spoil and talk to, nothing sexual. I was like yeah sure okay. I gave my age and state i lived in plus some hobbies, normal stuff it was whatever. I've told more to strangers on discord tbh.

We got to talking and she was super sweet, called me sweet nicknames, told me about how she was going to spoil me how she wanted to take me traveling, it all seemed like a lot of work for a scam, but of ccourse i was still suspicious of the whole thing.

Here's where it gets fun. They asked what the nearest convenience store was. Odd request but okay. They knew i didnt have a car so they asked me to walk there and buy a steam gift card. And they would give me more to cover the cost when they paid me tonight (They called it an investment card at first idk) i was like I have 3 dollars to my name. I thought this was done, they'd realize I'm broke as shit and be done. Nope! They assured me they would just give me the money I needed to buy it. They would transfer it to my account and it'd be there tomorrow morning. I was like cool I'll buy it tomorrow then right?

Ah I see, of course. So i drew this out as long as possible saying i couldn't set up the app because my phone was shitty, and the online banking didnt work either. I again suggested PayPal but just for the first payment. But apparently thier acount manager restricted 3rd party apps because thier last sugar bady stole 890$ via pay pal. I still wanted to scam them a little so i suggested a visa gift card.

Now this wasnt the first time they'd mentioned Germany but i was far more suspicious now. I said i was willing to wait until they were back in the states to get them on a new topic so i could play my trap card. I asked if they wanted to see some art i made. I'm not sure if you know this but it's super easy get an ip adress and location of someone if you can get them to click a link. Does the link look sketchy as hell? Absolutely, but many people don't pay much attention to image links.

And then they clicked it. I was so damn excited man. Turns out Germany is in Lagos Nigeria, who knew?

TL:DR: My tumblr sugar momma was actually a Nigerian prince, and it is so easy to get someone's ip adress.

General Information

What is Sincerely, Haikyuu? 

Sincerely, Haikyuu aims to connect Haikyuu!! fans around the world through old-fashioned physical letter writing. Inspired by the Final Fantasy Pen Pal Palooza, it’s a fun way to make some new friends, be creative, and spread a bit of joy! (Or at least give each other something to look forward to). 

Sign-up through our Google Form and the mods will match you with another Haikyuu!! fan. Once sign-ups are sent out, you’ll have two weeks to write a letter to your pen pal (and, yes, it must be a letter. Packages are outside of the scope of this event, and may only be sent in addition to a physical letter. See specific FAQ for details). 

Then, after a few weeks (or longer, depending on the postal service in your country), you’ll receive a letter from your pen pal in the mail!

I’m a minor, can I still participate?

Yes, but minors must have their parent(s) or guardian(s) permission to share their address. Since minors are allowed to participate, no NSFW content will be allowed in the letters, and we ask you to be respectful to your pen pal. 

On the sign-up form, there will be a place for you to indicate whether you are willing to be matched with an adult, a minor, or either. You are welcome to request not to be matched with an adult / minor for any reason.

What if the mail services in my country are experiencing major delays or other issues?

Postal services worldwide have been affected by the current situation. There are no deadlines for when letters need to arrive, so please don’t let delays stop you from signing up if that is your only concern! However, if mail is frequently being lost or destroyed in your area, or if you have health concerns about receiving mail from your local postal service, please consider carefully when deciding to sign up. 

I can’t send a real letter - is there an option to send an email instead?

Since this event is specifically focused on sending real, physical letters to your pen pal, we won’t be having an all-digital option. Logistically, it’s just too complicated for us two mods to run both a physical letter sending event and a virtual letter sending event at the same time. We apologize if this means that some of you won’t be able to participate. 

What if I need to drop out of the event?

Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to drop out! We get it—life can get in the way, and it's totally okay if you need to drop out for any reason. We will find a new pen pal for your assigned partner.

Pen Pal Sign-Ups

How do I sign-up?

You can sign-up through this Google Form! Sign-ups will be open through July 13th, 2020 (closing at 11:59PM Pacific Time). The form will take approximately 15 minutes to fill out. 

Is there an option to only send a letter within my own country?

Yes! The sign-up form will ask for your country of residence (i.e. where you’ll be sending your letter from), and whether you’re willing to send an international letter. If you answer “no,” moderators will match you up with a pen pal within your own country. If there are no participants from within your country, mods will contact you during the matching period. 

Do I have to provide my legal name?

No. You will be asked to provide a name for your letter address, but this does not need to be your legal name. Any moniker will work. 

In addition, the name you provide for your address does not need to be the same as the name you ask your pen pal to address you by, or the name you give the mods for internal communication. You can provide different names for all three of these situations, if you’d like to.

What are you doing to protect my personal information?

Please refer to our Data Privacy and Protection policy for the full explanation on how your data is being used, protected, and distributed to your pen pal.

Pen Pal Matching

How will pen pals be matched?

After sign-ups close, pen pals will be matched up in a 1-to-1 scenario. You’ll send a letter to your pen pal, and your pen pal will send a letter to you. This was chosen to make any necessary partner switching a little easier and to minimize the amount of personal information being shared.

Moderators will try to match you with a pen pal that has similar interests to you based on what you wrote in the sign-up form, but we may not have an exact match (especially keeping in mind your mailing preferences). One of the goals of this exchange is to introduce participants to new people, so it’s likely that you won’t know your recipient. We encourage you to introduce yourself in your letter and ask questions! 

When can I talk to my pen pal?

If your penpal has shared their social media handles, you are welcome to reach out as soon as matches go out to ask for clarifications, optional gift preferences, or just to chat. If no social media handles have been provided, you will have to communicate the old-fashioned way in your letters! 

If you don’t have your penpal’s social media handles but need to ask an important question before letters are sent, please reach out to a mod, and we’ll help facilitate communication.

Will I be able to switch pen pals?

We will do our best to match all participants with awesome partners. However, we understand that sometimes, partner switches need to happen. After pen pals are matched, there will be a short period where, if necessary, you can request to be matched with a new penpal. Please only request to switch partners if absolutely necessary. 

Once all partnerships have been finalized, addresses will be sent, and you will no longer be able to switch pen pal partners. This is to minimize the amount of people who get access to confidential address information.

How will addresses be distributed?

After pen pal partners have been finalized, we will send addresses via email using GMail confidentiality mode. This will allow us mods to delete the email and the confidential information it contains after the event is complete.

If you are a GMail user, confidentiality mode emails will not look significantly different from normal emails. If you are not a GMail user, your email will include a link where you can view the email. Follow the prompts to verify your email and view your partner’s address.

Letter Creation

What do I put in my letter? 

You can write about ANYTHING, with the exception of NSFW content. There’s no minimum word count, the only requirement is that you send a letter to your pen pal! We encourage you to ask each other questions, share headcanons, write drabbles, scribble doodles in the margins, or plaster your letter in stickers. Let your pen pal know what your favorite arc or episode is, relive your favorite moments from Haikyuu!!, or send photos of your keychain collection or cosplays. As long as it is SFW and fits in your envelope, feel free to send whatever you’d like.

If you’re comfortable, we also encourage you to share your social media, Discord, or AO3 usernames, so that y’all can find each other online after the exchange is over!

Can I include gifts for my pen pal? Can I send a package? 

For this event, we’re requiring that you send a flat envelope to your pen pal. This envelope can still include little doodles, fic, stickers, and other small little gifts. If you’d like to send a package, in addition to your letter, you may choose to do so.

Do not feel obligated to send a gift to your pen pal. The only requirement for the event is to send a letter! This is not a secret santa event, but rather a pen pal letter exchange.

We have chosen to require a letter in a flat envelope to be sent for three main reasons: equity, ability to moderate, and current postal delay. First, we know that not everyone can afford to send a package -- requiring a letter makes this event more accessible to all people, without feeling obligated to send something extra. We also don’t have a structure in place to be able to moderate the packages people are sending. Finally, postal services around the world are seeing mail (and packages especially) being delayed. We don’t want your recipient waiting months and months for your gift to be received. 

That being said, if you’d like to send a package, feel free to send one in addition to your letter! You could even mention in your letter that your pen pal can look forward to an additional package arriving. These will not be moderated in any way by the Sincerely, Haikyuu!! team, and we advise you to coordinate with your pen pal, if necessary. 

If you are sending a package, make sure that you’re checking current postal guidelines, and be wary of sending any perishable goods with the current delay in shipping. Also check if the address provided by your pen pal is a P.O. box, as not all P.O. boxes can accept packages.

Letter Sending

Do letters need to be tracked?

We will have a Google form for participants to fill out to confirm that letters have been sent, but we will not require tracking for individual letters. 

If you choose to send your pen pal an additional package, you may think about adding tracking to that package. 

What happens at the end of the letter creation period?

All participants will be expected to confirm that they sent their letter (or communicate extenuating circumstances so that we can inform your recipient that their letter is delayed). This check-in will be a Google Form that will be distributed at the end of the letter creation period. Once you’ve received your letter, the event is complete!

Am I supposed to write a letter back?

Only if you want! It’s not required for the event, but if you want to mail a letter back to your pen pal, you can! 

The primary goal of Sincerely, Haikyuu!! was to create a one-time pen pal exchange between fans of Haikyuu!!, not create long-term pen pals, but if you enjoy exchanging letters, we encourage you to continue!

I never received my letter! 

 Mail services all over the world are experiencing delays right now. Your letter may just be stuck somewhere in between you and your pen pal’s home. If you’re still worried about the state of your letter, please contact the mods!

Who is running this event?

The mods for this event are Ry (rythyme) and Zoe (SoVeryAverageMe). You might know us from SportsFest 2018, an event we co-created and moderated.

During SportsFest 2018, we mailed out postcards with a personal note from the mod team to any participant that wanted one, as a souvenir from the event. (Even the postcard design itself was created by a Sportsfest participant!) Seeing everyone’s reactions to receiving them remains one of our favorite memories of the event, and we’re hoping that this pen pal exchange can inspire some of the same positive energy!

luna was born and raised in frostford to yuliana and marcos santos - both of which are of brazilian roots but their families have been living in the us for decades. her family is rich rich and it stems back for a few decades. don’t ask me how they made their fortune because i actually have no clue as of right now. we working on it.

she was the youngest child and only daughter to yuliana and marcos which meant that she was instantly their pride and joy. their princess. their doll. 

she has two older brothers - jax (32) and santiago (35) - who love their little sister to pieces and have never really been a big fan of the way their mother treats luna,

INCOMING MOMMY ISSUES

yuliana was the kind of girl that wanted to be in pageants growing up but her family never allowed her the chance because they valued education over anything that had to do with glamour despite having the money to blow on the fancy aspects. so! the moment yuliana found out that she was having a daughter, she was ECSTATIC. she could finally get to live the life of pageants that her parents robbed her of and she was thriving.

so comes my baby luna

from the moment she was born, her mother had her in fancy dresses and from the moment that she could walk, yuliana made sure that her daughter could perfect the pageant walk before she could perfect walking like a normal human being. if she did something right, she’d drown luna in affection. if she did something wrong, she’d scowl and tell her to do it again. often times this resulted in her crying - especially when she was still a toddler.

over the course of her childhood, she continued with the pageant life and slowly it became something that she lived and breath. she felt like it was the best way to connect with her mother and a part of her really did have a love for the whole ordeal. for a while. by the time she was eight, her mother essentially had the picture perfect pageant girl and she’d completely forgotten that this girl also needed love and a mother to help her through life.

but her dad? a sweetheart, a gem, the most affectionate dad that she could have ever asked for and she loves him to pieces. calls him every single day. or texts. santos fam group chat is her, marcos, jax, santiago, and her maternal grandparents. ANYWAYS! WE CONTINUE!

despite yuliana’s instance that her kids go to private school, her parents convinced her to just send her kids to public school because it would offer the kids a chance to actually get to know people around town that weren’t in their parents circle of rich idiots. this was luna’s saving grace. in school, she made genuine friendships and she finally found a sense of comfort. 

not that that lasted long because yuliana was instantly up her ass telling her that those kids from school weren’t real friends and that she had to focus on her priorities aka pageants. only pageants. always PAGEANTS. so... that’s exactly what luna did. 

can you tell that her mom is a demon yet? ‘cause we got more!

moving on to high school! things were essentially always the same. luna would go to school, live her life, make some friends but eventually she’d lose said friends because of her mom or because luna put up a wall since she knew that she’d lose them anyways. 

she was in a car accident with her older brother jax when she was sixteen which resulted in her missing a pageant which made yuliana BIG MAD. 

it was in her senior year of high school that yuliana set luna up with one of her friends sons and essentially forced her to be in a relationship with someone she had no connection w/at all. 

she dated this person for a while (again, to make her MOM happy, not herself) up until her mother started talking about getting married which was when luna was like LOL ABORT MISSION and broke up w/the dude. did she like him? sure. but she wasn’t going to get married after high school. no thanks. 

yuliana, naturally, was furious. got mad. was mad for a while. oscar the grouch mad 24/7.

THEN CAME COLLEGE! LUNA WAS FINALLY FREE! well... not really because her mother picked her school for her as well as her major; columbia university with a major in business. why? because she knew people who worked at the school that would be able to keep an eye out on her daughter. 

SOMEHOW? luna still managed to find a sense of freedom the moment she stepped foot onto campus and was away from her mother. she was studying something she hated but she finally could live a life where she didn’t feel like she had to constantly please her mother or worry about falling out of line. it felt amazing.

this was where she discovered hook ups and friends w/benefits and BOI OH BOI was she thriving!

it was in her senior year of college that she had a long talk with her grandparents about what she wanted for herself and where she saw herself going. they wanted what was best for her and that meant getting her out from their own childs clutches who only saw luna as someone to parade around. it took her a while but the words from the talk stayed with luna until she was twenty two and she finally stood up for herself and told her mother NO MAS. 

yuliana was like BITCH WHAT but luna was like YOU HEARD ME even though it was a bit less... blunt that i just made it seem. 

at twenty two, she stopped competing in pageants and went off on an adventure to europe with her grandparents. her grandparents were really only with her for a month as they settled them into a nice place in italy but after that, she was finally happy. 

she lived in italy and traveled around europe until she was twenty five which was when she moved back to frostford because she missed her grandparents, dad and older brothers. when she moved back, her grandparents helped her find a cute little home and she even got herself a red husky named kida - since she’d never been allowed to have a pet before in her life. 

her dad still gives luna anything and everything she could ever want bc we stan a man who watches out for his child but luna also wants to make a life for herself outside of her parents money so she went and got a job. it was harder than she expected but she finally was willing to get one thanks to june diaz so now she’s a waitress at the whole enchilada and has been since she got back a solid year ago. 

did i mention she’s been back one year? i feel like i should have mentioned it somewhere above but oh whale. 

her new found freedom (its new even after four years OKAY) has also left her with a bit of a reckless streak. she is, in fact, a lot to handle at times and there’s other times where she falls back into that docile behavior her mom basically morphed into her. so... yeah!

FUN FACTS!

she wanted to be a cheerleader in high school but her mother was like NOT ON MY WATCH YOUNG LADY

her very first shift working at the whole enchilada resulted in her accidentally dropping a customers food on the floor and getting yelled at which resulted in her hiding in the bathroom to cry

she’s fluent in english, portugese, italian and french

she’s a flirty drunk which means she will probs try to get w/you if she’s drunk. unless you’re taken bc she knows her boundaries and she says NO to taken men. 

anything she does regarding men is mainly to spite her mother bc she doesn’t really think she’s capable of falling in love. thanks to her mom basically making her feel worthless all her life :)

she’s a harry potter nerd and spiritually identifies as hufflepuff with slytherin tendencies even though pottermore told her 12 times that she is, in fact, a gryffindor. but she refuses to accept that. nope. not happening. 

her hair is currently dyed a lavender purple. it’s almost always lavender purple. just assume it’s that color 24/7 lol.
