your head was rested against his forearm, with the voice of your homeroom teacher muffled in the background. there they go again niki chuckled to himself, finding your words strangely amusing

in a seemingly endless loop, you poured out your heart, to niki time and time again. at his house, on your (platonic!) walks at night and now in class. each time, he responded with a laugh, a sparkle in his eyes, and a lighthearted remark that danced in the air. with each passing moment spent together, your infatuation for him grew, intensifying the butterflies that fluttered wildly in your stomach.

at first, you found comfort in his laughter, feeling proud of yourself for being the reason of his momentary happiness.

but as the confessions persisted, doubts began to sneak in. "am I bothering him?" you wondered , guilt and doubt creeping into you.

days turned into weeks, and you found yourself growing even more weary of pouring your heart out to someone who seemed uninterested. with a heavy heart, you resolved to stop with the confessions, fearing you were only annoying niki, a playful game that he enjoyed. you longed for a connection that went beyond friendship, but jeopardizing what you both had right now is far from what you wanted

eyes wide you picked up what the hell does he want at 2 am? not that youre complaining of course, you would sacrifice your favorite snacks just to hear his voice.

"ah, yn" you heard him whisper from the other side, his voice deep and raspy "i didnt think you'd pick up"

"whats so important that you have to call me so late at night, mr ' i-am-an athlete-and-need-my-beauty-sleep' ?" you joked, knowing that the boy will scold you for keeping him up so late later at school

"shut up" a smiled etched on your face and light laughter tickled your ear "i know its not the best thing to do over call but its about your confessions" your heart raced. is this it? is he going to reject you like you've always dreaded?

"You know... all those times you confessed, I laughed it off not because I wasn't interested," he confessed, his voice laced with a mix of nervousness and sincerity "but because I couldn't believe someone like you could ever like me. i mean, you are you and i am me"

silence filled the air

"ah.... im sorry for calling, but i've been tossing and turning thinking about.. you. youre a real headache y'know"

your eyes widened, unable to process what niki said. your heart leaped with a mix of surprise, relief, and a newfound hope. this is it. this is it.

"youre such a jerk" you laugh playfully, the past doubt and insecurities washing away at his words "you got me looking for attention while leaving me question everything"

in that moment, nikis laughter transformed into something deeper, his confession reaching across the wall that had kept them apart.

and with a smile illuminating both of your faces, you bid your goodbyes, promising that you will talk at school the following morning and knowing that from that day forward, your laughter would ring with a newfound meaning.

two souls, once blind and in denial to each other's affections, now found comfort in the affection they shared.

soft footsteps padded into the dimly lit bedroom before his soft skin clashes against yours as he flops down practically on top of you. niki has been so busy with his group’s most recent comeback that he hasn’t had time to spend with you. he grumbles something under his breath that you aren’t able to decipher before he lifts his lead to look at you, almost as if he was waiting for some type of response from you. you, half asleep, meet his gaze with a confused hum. he shakes his head, basically discarding whatever he was saying to you. with a soft smile, he leans towards you and places his soft and plum lips against your forehead, letting his lips touch linger there for a moment before hesitantly pulling away. with hazy eyes, you looked up at him before he pulled your body, small next to his, towards him to cuddle up. with a small content smile, niki pays one more kiss on your forehead before shutting his eyes. “ thank you for waiting for me. i promise i won’t make you wait any longer” he grumbles, sucking in a deep breath before letting it out very slowly. niki shoves his nose into the crook of your neck, a smile instantly gracing his features. you were his home. tangles limbs, comfy silence and the dimmed light gracing your features. what else could he want?

it was winter and snowing which meant it was extremely cold as you tried to light the cigarette between your lips but your soft hands shaking like crazy from the cold made it hard.

you and riki were sitting behind the school on a bench that you came actoss. 

"cmon, just ask me to do it. your hands are shaking you moron..." riki scoffed as he removed the cigarette from between your lips and placed it in between his, lighting it up. you just stare at him with a glare for his comment. he hands the cigarette back to you and you inhale a hit from it as he lights up his own. 

"are you cold?" he asked, exhaling a shaky breath. you hum and lean your head on his shoulder, "a little." a sigh escapes your mouth at the wind flowing through the snow covered leaves. riki chuckles and ruffles your hair with his free hand, erupting a quiet groan from you.

"stop messing my hair up riki.." he puts his hands up in surrender and lays his head on yours as the two of you smoke in peace. "wanna get some food after this?" he asks you, hoping you'd agree. you think about it for a second but nod softly against his shoulder. "good idea. but you're paying."

he rolls his eyes and sighs. "yeah whatever.. anything for you." you hum happily and lift your head from his shoulder, forcing him to lift his head aswell. he stares at you in confusion, wondering what you're up to.

as you inhale another drag from the cigarette, your soft lips press against his cold and now red cheek, giving him a quick peck before pulling away from him and exhaling the smoke. riki stares at you in shock as he tries to get back in focus. you lay your head back on his shoulder and chuckle quietly. "what? that was me thanking you."

he stubs out the remainder of his cigarette onto the bench and lifts your head up with two of his fingers holding at your chin. "huh?" you look up at him with wide eyes, accidentally dropping the cigarette into the snow. you pout and go to pick it up when he forces you to look at him.

when you're about to ask him what he's doing, his cold and somewhat dry lips touch yours. you don't get a chance to complain when your body automatically melts in his hold and you kiss him back softly. you can feel him smile into the kiss as he puts his hands on your neck to bring you deeper into his lips. you could taste the lingering scent of cigarettes on his lips, assuming he can too.

riki suddenly pulls away and licks his lips. "sorry, couldn't resist it." you frown at the lack of skinship and pull him into another kiss by grabbing the collar of his shirt. "shut up and kiss me."

THE ATTRACTIVE THINGS NISHIMURA RIKI DOES

bends down to hear you better. this boy's height is rounding up to 6'4…there's no way he wouldn't NOT do this. and whether he genuinely can't hear you or he does it just to mess with you, it is always 100% guaranteed to make you flustered. the first time he did this he noticed the way you suddenly forgot what you had to say, cheeks warm as you avoided eye contact with him. safe to say that he teases you about this every chance he gets. "what's wrong? do i make you nervous?"

holds eye contact. he normally keeps an eye on you, so when your head turns and gaze locks with his, he uses it as an excuse to shoot a grin your way. definitely likes the way you fidget when his stare grows more intense, though; he dedicates a lot of his time to teasing you. sometimes he'll even get bold enough to just suddenly lean over whatever surface that separates the two of you and get closer, smirking at the way you instantly straighten your back and stutter over your words.

gets items off of high shelves. this is another thing that just comes along with his height. after a while he learned that it's a way for him to get you to talk to him, so then he'll just put things that you use/get daily (a favorite mug, snacks, etc.) higher up so you have an excuse to come running to him...it's a very useful tactic, especially when you're mad or annoyed at him for something. he'll, of course, though, act like it's a chore and that he has better things to do with his time than retrieve items for you. "it isn't even that high, are you sure you need me? or do you just like having me at your beck and call?"

plays with your fingers when he’s bored. at first he was just comparing his hand size to yours, and then it just grew into him lacing his fingers with yours and kissing the back of your palm. he'll even occasionally try and bite you lol (don't ask, he just looks like a biter okay). he normally does this when he's, yes, bored, but also when he grows anxious. it's a distraction for him. and if you wear jewelry he'll for sure fidget with that—loves to spin the rings on your fingers and twirl your bracelets around your wrists. moral of the story is let riki play with your hands, it's calming for both him and you.

is always latched onto you. one of his biggest love languages is touch, and i will forever stand by that statement. whether it be cuddling, hugging, or even kissing, you best believe he's there and doing the absolute most lmao. oh, you're cooking something in the kitchen? he is back-hugging you the entire time. watching a movie or show in the living room? he's pretty much on top of you. wherever you are, he is. end of story.

makes sure you’ve eaten. it's subtle, but became a very important thing in your relationship with riki. in the beginning, he would only ask if he intended to get you food, but as time went on the words "have you eaten yet/today?" hold a lot more sentiment. he does this to check up on you and show he cares about your well-being. if he notices your eyes lingering on a certain food, he'll encourage you to eat it. or, better yet, if it's at a restaurant or café he'll buy it for you.

gives you random trinkets. no matter what it is, he'll give you something he found simply because it reminded him of you. it could be anything ranging from a keychain to a stuffed animal to flowers. whatever it is, riki will find a way to give it to you. and, if he physically can't, then a picture will have to do.

lends you his clothes. he is quite very fond of the way you look in his clothes. it started with just a hoodie, but then it just extended to shirts, jackets, jewelry, and sometimes even sweatpants (and unless you're on the taller side, babe you're gonna have to roll those up 'cause this boy is TALL TALL). absolutely adores the fact that after his hoodies are returned to him they smell like you. it's probably one of his favorite things EVER.

She looked in the mirror one last time, trying to mentally prepare herself for her own wedding. Then a miracle happened. "Fucking shut your mouth and do as I say or else I'll shoot you." A man simply said, his big hand covering almost 90% of her face, as he towered over her.

She could only see his eyes, but damn was he fine as fuck. "Oh sir sir- you don't need to do all that... We can jump out the window! no one'll notice" she said with a smile. The kidnapper, hesitant at first, decided to let it be, and lead her out, his grip firm on her wrist as he dragged her to his car. Y/n didn't fight him at all. She didn't care if she was going to die, or have her organs trafficked, heck even herself, she just didn't want to become a tortured slave to the Parks' Dynasty.

"THE BRIDE IS MISSING!" Mrs Park yelled as Sunghoon's face immediately changed. That shy, excited look now long gone. Within a matter of minutes, Mr Park walked over to Sunghoon, showing the Video message a certain friend had sent. "You tried to fuckin break a deal?!... I thought we agreed on sharing Park. She's mine too. Since you can't keep your end of the deal I don't see why I should." The man in the video threatened, and with that, the video cut off.

No one can have his y/n. He laid his eyes on her the very day Riki did, the 2 instantly falling in love with her. It's crazy how they helped each other out, stalking her to find every detail about her. They both knew her strengths and weaknesses, favourite colour, favourite pet. Everything. Sunghoon wanted you to himself. So he just had to tempt your parents with his money, he didn't expect Nishimura Riki to find out though.

"Yoi- pretty boy- when you gon return me? please tell me, I need to come up with a proper run away plan, can't let park Sunghoon marry me y'know?" Y/n simply said as she sat on the bed, still in her wedding dress. Riki eyed her up and down, he slid off his mask, stunning Y/n with his perfect, plush lips that are oh so kissable, a jawline to die for, fuck he's so fucking fine. Those eyes don't lie. "Done staring bride?" He asked as Y/n blinked.

"Yeah- uh anyways... when'll you let me go?... clearly you have no intention on killing me or trafficking- I-" Y/n was beyond shocked when the kidnapper pinned her against the bed, his dark, pretty eyes, empty of any emotion, how he glared coldly at her, as if he were staring into her soul. "Oh darling... Of course I wouldn't kill you.... for I have better plans for you..." He simply said as he gripped her jaw.

"I don't know... an easy death is looking like a really good option right now..." Y/n nervously snickerred as the man leaned in closer "Nishimura Y/n... let me get into my tux... you and I are getting married tonight." The man smirked as Y/n stared in shock. Riki cuffed her to the bed as he went into the restroom to get dressed. She'd have never let him kidnap her if she knew she'd have the same fate either way.

Only, Sunghoon actually seemed nice... The way his arms were always around her waist. How, despite being cold or rude, he'd still make sure she's ok and healthy. The way he'd rest his forehead against hers, reminding her of how beautiful she is. Though he was a playboy, and he was hard to trust. That very moment, she felt her wrists be free, a familiar scent hitting her nose as a strong pair of arms wrapped around her.

"It's ok baby... you're safe now. Lets go hmm?" Sunghoon said as he attempted to lift her from the bed. "Not so fucking fast Park. We had a deal..." Riki suddenly said, walking into the room, white shirt half buttoned up, his hair already done, and his coat nowhere to be found. Damn he looked hot. To be fair, Riki didn't seem awful, even though he did kidnap her. He's been giving her princess treat meant since she had first arrived...

It all went south for her since this fated day... The day she married 2 men...

weeks into your relationship, you realized how hard the boy was on himself. it worried you, really. you were beyond proud of him for how he is, and you hoped he saw what you saw in him.

so when he came home one day, not his usual happy but tired demeanor, you knew it was one of those days where he just needed words of love, and tight hugs.

“hi riki.” you whisper to him as he walks through the door. he looks tired, he looks disappointed. and you hate that he doesnt believe in himself.

he smiles softly at you, happy that at least youre the one thing right in his life. he throws his arms around you, placing his head in the crook of your neck. you bring your hand up to stroke his hair to comfort him.

you pull away to look at him. you can tell he's trying to put on a smile for you. 

“i made you something to eat. do you wanna eat now? or do you wanna talk for a while? we can do however you like.” you smile at him, caressing his cheek as he replies, wanting to talk to you about his day. it always made him feel better to talk to you.

the two of you moved to the couch, you keep him close to you, his arms around your waist and his head on your chest.

“how was your day?” you ask him. you dont even need a proper answer to know. pressing a kiss to his forehead, you wait for his reply.

he hesitates.

“it was .. alright i guess. i dont think i did my best today.” you feel the quiver in his voice.

he looks up at you, youre smiling softly at him. You move your hands to cup his cheeks in your palm.

“well, i think you did amazing today. i know i wasnt there to see you, but i know you did well. i'm proud of you riki.”

he lets out one, two, three tears at your words. you hold back your tears, wanting to be strong for him too. you press another kiss to his forehead. “im so very proud of you riki. I love you.”

he looks up at you, his gaze ; tired, his thumb gently rubbing your cheek, noses touching. you close the distance between the two of you, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. when you pull away, he pulls you back in, and you dont complain, molding your lips together gently.

He pulls away, after kissing you one more time, silently mumbling an ‘i love you’ against your lips, before connecting it to yours again.

nishimura riki might not think hes perfect. But you do. and hes more than content with that.
