The dead body of the half Leopard half Serpent creature twitched as it's head was sliced clean off by the man's Crescent Darts, a strange orange blood pouring from the creatures body as it slumped lifelessly on the rooftop.

Upon hearing Nina speak, the white cloaked figure with blue glowing eyes turns his body to face the woman. He usually works alone, and has rarely ever requested or wanted help... but Daniel knows how much this woman has helped him in the past hour.

"Trust me, there's a lot worse where it came from... luckily I don't think any others slipped out. At least - I hope they didn't."

'We should kill her now Daniel. She's a mixture of bloods, an impure creatur-'

'Please shut the fuck up, I don't have the energy to hear you ramble about supernatural racial purity' Daniel replied silently within his mind to Khonshu.

Extending a white hand to the warrior, Daniel offered his thanks. "Thank you for helping me. Taking down a Serpopard isn't easy... and it would have been a lot worse if you weren't here." He isn't sure if he should say anything else to her. He's not a superhero, he's not an Avenger, and he barely knows any super people in general. This was one of his first real interactions with someone from this line of life.

In the back of his mind... he wonders if she knew his father. And if she's questioning who this strange young man is wearing the suit he used to wear.

I was thinking, "One day I shall find my writer's voice and then things will be a LOT more clear--pertaining to what I want to write and how I want to write it" but the truth is that everything that I'm writing technically IS IN my writer's voice.... I might not like my own voice or understand it all that well, or know how to convey what I'm trying to convey in the way I want to make it come across, but my voice IS there and it IS mine, even when I'm frustrated with it and its limitations (it also helps to think about Whisper of the Heart and how Seiji's grandfather tells Shizuku after reading her manuscript that her writing is a diamond in the rough that needs to be polished and refined and honed).... it's just a matter of practice and of listening!
