A very interesting commission: Radahn riding the Great Serpent on the Mountaintops of the Giants. I like to think that Torrent took one look at the duo and said, "you're on your own, buddy."

🌼🌸 anon here to make your day a bit sweeter !! you're an amazing person and i hope you've had an amazing start of the week. now, onto some nosy questions: where do you get your inspiration for your character(s) from? are there specific types of medias that have influenced the way you write or maybe even specific writers (maybe even from the rpc)? anyways, i hope your week continues to be sweet and amazing because the best of the best is what you deserve, dear friend !!
hello dear anon!! i hope you've had a lovely start to your week as well, and thank you so much for once again being so sweet <3 pls be as nosy as you like!
as far as inspiration goes for my characters, i often imagine them up or parts of their development when i hear the perfect song! hyouka and satsuki came out of turning out by ajr ( which is also where my url is from! ); tsugumi came out of flickers by wrabel; chiyo's character song is still hello / how are you by nanou and it makes me weep!! even as a kid, i was imagining scenes to songs, and that hasn't changed for me as an adult. if i ever start to feel shaky about my characters' personality, i'll often listen to their playlist or look at their pinterest board.
when it comes to influences on my writing, the biggest one i can think of is studio ghibli ( or really hayao miyazaki ). their movies instilled such an appreciation for nature in me, which is something that i give my oc's pretty often, and i'm also pretty sure that's why i like to describe my characters by comparing their appearance and feelings to nature. it's also why!! i have yubari, a whole dragon/river deity, on my roster. spirited away really stuck with me :' ) but also studio ghibli likes to concentrate on character relationships and how those affect the story/growth of the main character, and it's typically the growth and/or strength/merit of our main character that changes the story's outcome. i have a big habit of creating characters in pairs and focusing on how they can positively grow with or without someone to push them forward asdf basically you've got studio ghibli to thank for my whole style!
i have to say though!! while my mutuals don't necessarily affect my writing style, they do affect my inspiration and motivation heavily! like i'll read a reply or headcanon and get so hyped and excited!!! i'm not just saying this -- they're incredibly creative and talented, and that pushes me to do better ( like, you know, finally putting some real effort into yubari's bio, or taking the time to explain aspects of my oc's personality and whatnot ).
i've spoken way too much forgive me asdfg but thank you so much again, sweet anon!! and pls have the best week bc it's what you deserve, too u3u g
