Are request still open and if they are can you make a Klaus Mikaelson one shot the girl is Tyler Lockwood sister and she hates Klaus so she rejects him as her mate but at the end she accepts him so like fluff at the end
Tumblr media
What are you doing to me?
Finding out your mated to the all powerful original hybrid who ruined your brothers like and forced him to become half vampire while also terrorising your childhood friends and what not isn’t exactly at the top of my bucket list.
Him being a willing participant when it came to the whole ‘soulmate’ arrangement was also not meant to be in the cards.
When I realised we were mates I was 99% sure he would immediately reject me as a mate. As strong as a soulmate makes you, it will also always be your greatest weakness. I would be able to kill him far easier than anyone else and I was certain he would want to kill me first.
So him leaving me expensive gifts was…unexpected to say the least.
Detailed drawings of wolves and the full moon in the sky with a poem hand written on the back had my heart fluttering in ways that I should not have enjoyed.
But he had destroyed my brothers and the people I consider my family’s lives.
And so, despite the utter agony I was inflicting on both him and myself, I rejected him as my mate.
It’s a rare thing for wolves to reject their one, the side affects are awful in a way to force your mind into reconsidering.
The crippling pain was emotionally tormenting and physically exhausting. After the initial rejection I was barely able to leave my bed, eat, drink, I barely spoke a word and each time I fell asleep I was haunted by a similar image of Klaus.
Damon had messaged me letting me know Klaus had been out of sight for nearly 3 weeks after.
The pain lingered, never truly gone but it had dimmed. Though a sharp pain would shoot through me when he was too close, when the bond knew I was purposely ignoring him, and i could always see him wince at the same time.
The few times I didn’t shove him away, well I felt much better. He brought peace to my wolfs inner battle between soulmate and family because in reality I knew that he was both. I was just too afraid to admit it fully.
Though I couldn’t help but occasionally step a tad bit closer to him, to feel the warm buzz that ran through my bloodstream.
He was a lot less subtle though.
Often, as soon as his wolf sensed mine approaching he was all over me. Hands would be rubbing up and down my arms, his lips on my neck in a desperate instinctual need to mark me. And what was worse was that my wolf was all the more compliant and for a few wonderful seconds I could indulge in the blissful sensations. My head back, hands firmly gripping his henley and moans leaving my lips, my wolf having the desire to present myself in a truly embarrassing fashion.
Though he would always push it a tad too far, a grope to my ass, his canines about to pierce my skin, and I would be pushing him away. My wolf panting as I nearly tripped over my own two feet to get away from him while ignoring the intense feeling of my heart being squeezed unpleasantly.
I always managed to just scrape past him.
Suffering alone in my room again at the recurring torture of rejecting a mate.
His continued flow of presents didn’t help either, only made me feel worse seeing effort put into paintings of me and my wolf. He hadn’t turned into a hybrid, not yet at least, he probably knew that would be my last straw and id maim him.
But I knew he had followed my wolf on the full moons, I always woke with brand new clothes beside me, lead on a cotton blanket with a pillow under head and the snapping of twigs in the distance as he walked away.
And even though I should have said absolutely not when he personally delivered an invitation to his family’s ball, with those stupid puppy dog eyes, I couldn’t bring myself to.
“Please love, just one dance and if you don’t like it…then I’ll leave you be and accept your decision” as soon as the words left his mouth, both our souls twisted in agony making my teeth grind.
“Fine, just one” I whispered and he nodded, pulling me into a quick hug to calm down both our pain. Which it did like water on a fire, entirely putting out the flames and leaving us calm and quiet.
And then the dress arrived at my door, with matching shoes and accessories and I realised I actually had to do this.
Walking into his house sent a chill down my spine, my body felt much warmer and my wolf was howling inside me.
A hand on my shoulder had me whimpering softly making an arm wrap around my waist and pull me aside to another room.
“Shh love, we don’t want the rest of the guests hearing such lovely sounds” klaus murmured into my ear and I pressed against him, a small moan leaving my lips.
“This is too much for you isn’t it my love?” He whispered, his hand tilting my head making me look up at him.
The entire house smelt like him, I had seen parts of it in the dreams of him when he was suffering from my rejection. Which now intensified my guilt, my emotions were running haywire. I was in his home; I was in the wolf’s den.
Without thinking my hands tugged at his blazer, pushing it down his arms before my fingers began to pull his shirt open
“Woah love, it’s alright” he muttered, his hands grabbed mine and before I could blink we were outside. The cold air cooled down my boiling skin as I panted and he stroked my hair away from my face
“There we go, it’s okay” he cooed, the back of his hand pressing against my forehead.
“I hate this stupid bond” I whispered, covering my face.
“I know love…we can have our dance another time, I’ll take you home” he uttered, his tone was sad and my heart ached again.
“Stop it” I whispered “please stop it”
“Stop what love? What’s wrong?”
“Make it stop fucking hurting! I rejected you weeks, months ago! Why does it still hurt!? What are you doing to me?” I whispered, tears filling my eyes and spilling over. I looked up at him to see him in a similar state though no tears had fallen from his eyes yet.
His hand moved to cup my face and I couldn’t help but lean into it.
“It will only stop hurting us when you truly reject me. Somewhere, inside you, you still haven’t truly given up on the idea. You either have to reject the bond once and for all or accept me” he explained softly
“I would’ve been able to reject you if you left me alone. You kept sending all those things and being so kind, you did this to me” I whimpered
“I wouldn’t have done that if I couldn’t feel your soul still reaching for mine” he uttered “I would never intentionally harm you”
I let out a quiet sob as my soul pleaded for his.
I leaned forward so my head could press against his chest, my eyes closing at the content feeling that rose in me. I could feel myself giving into the bond, our souls slowly binding together. His hand held the back of my head, I could hear his heart speeding up as mine mimicked it.
His other hand moved around my waist, pulling me to him. “Good girl” he whispered “you’ll feel so much better now” he reassured “I promise I’ll make it better now sweetheart”
He kissed my head softly, his hand rubbing my back “let the bond form my love” he encouraged.
I focused on the connection trying to relight the candle.
I could feel the second it happened, my knees growing too weak to stand making him chuckle quietly and wrap both arms around me. He lifted me so my face could be right infront of his, prompting me to lean forward and press our lips together.
Our souls entwined as we did so, endless amounts of passion poured into one act.
The silent appreciation that this was real and it was only just the beginning.

Request from anon:
hiiiii, first I wanna say that I enjoy reading your works, they're wonderful. <3
Now, I've seen you post about wanting Lockwood requests and I might have an idea. Lockwood and reader are in long-term relationship (they know each other since childhood, the reader is talentless but Lockwood comes to her when he need to relax/help with a plan/whatever), and no-one knows about the relationship besides them. And after some rough case when kipss crew had to help out, Lockwood and co and kipss crew are drinking in a bar to ease up (the reader works in the bar as part-time job) and in the drunken state Lockwood is even more confident than normally so someone makes a bet with him that he won be able to get a kiss out of the bartender (the reader) by the end of the night... I don't really know what after but maybe you'll be able to find a fluffy/funny ending to it?
I hope I'm making sense.
Have a nice day! :)))
First of all, thank you for the love anon, and I hope you have a nice day too!! <3
Second, I am completely in love with this idea (it's totally something Lockwood would do let's face it) and I had so much fun writing this!!!
Hopefully this lives up to expectations my lovely <3

Lockwood was tired.
He'd barely slept the night before, despite not having a case, and he'd barely eaten the whole day. It was nearing 7pm now, the sun having set over an hour ago and leaving the city in almost darkness. There would be no sleeping tonight, either, since he and his company had to tackle a Type One in an old lady's house. All Lockwood really wanted was to see her, and have her tell him stories about her day until he fell asleep in her arms, but he couldn't do that right now. Hopefully this would be done quickly, this job, so that he could get to hers before she went to sleep.
Lockwood and Co had been in the kitchen of Mrs Lovey's house for a while now, cups of tea left empty on the counter and the packet of biscuits finished off. Initial readings had been low, giving Lockwood hope that they really would be done quickly, and they'd made note of the likely places for the Source.
"Lockwood? You're staring into space again. You alright?"
He blinked back into reality, pulling himself out of his thoughts of warm rooms and soft kisses.
"Huh? Oh, right. Yeah, I'm alright. Just surprised this Visitor hasn't turned up yet." He checked his watch. "Time for another reading in the living room?"
George nodded. "I'll go first."
The three of them headed in, rapiers at the ready.
"One degree. And a feeling of unease. It's definitely getting close to being here."
"Never mind close, I can see it," Lockwood whispered, taking up a defensive position.
"Yeah, I can hear it, too. Sounds like someone crying. I don't think this is a Type One either," Lucy added, and Lockwood couldn't help but agree.
"Any murders or anything happen here, George?"
"Not that I'm aware of, and I researched for days for this one. Didn't find anything out of the ordinary."
"Male or female, Luce? The voice."
"Uh, hang on, shut up a minute." She closed her eyes, focusing her efforts on Listening. "Male. Definitely. Sounds older, and like he's got some sort of trauma."
"Right. George, you figure out where the Source is. Lucy and I will watch it, make sure it doesn't go for you. Can either of you see it yet?"
"Not really. There's a sort of shiny mist over by that armchair, though," George said, pointing in the direction of the ratty old seat.
"Yeah, okay. That's where it is. Lucy?"
"Same as George. Getting stronger though. Maybe the chair is the Source?"
"Could be. George?"
"You're sure you've got my back, yeah? Because I really can't see it that well right now and I'd rather not die tonight."
"We're sure. Go on, have a poke around."
George did so, hesitantly getting closer to the chair and holding the scanner up. "Yeah, the Source is here somewhere." He prodded the side, and Lockwood saw Lucy flinch.
"It didn't like that at all. God, that was awful. Wait, George, don't-"
She slammed her hands over her ears, trying to block out the scream that even Lockwood could hear now.
"George, get the net," he cried out, rapier moving swiftly as the Visitor grew brighter and aimed for the head of the company.
"Incredibly clear visual, Lockwood! Lucy was right, it's definitely a Type Two!"
"GET THE NET, GEORGE!"
Lockwood had been backed into a corner, arm starting to ache from the continuous motion of the rapier holding off the ghost in front of him. Lucy had recovered (just about), and was picking up her rapier to help him. Sensing a second opponent, the ghost turned, and targeted Lockwood's coworker. The two of them spent the next few minutes sending the Visitor between them while George repeatedly chucked the net over various parts of the chair, expression growing more frantic each time.
"George, what's going on?!" Lucy shouted.
"It's not working! I don't think the chair is the Source! Or if it is, it's inside the chair!"
"Then get searching! Rip the whole bloody thing apart if you have to! But get on with it!" Lockwood gritted his teeth, fighting off the cold unease he felt flooding through his body. He thought of her, and her smile, and her laugh, and pushed back twice as hard against the Visitor. At some point he'd injured himself, the cut on his upper left arm bleeding slightly, but he couldn't think about that until the ghost was dealt with.
"GOT IT!" George shouted, voice triumphant. He slung the net around the object he'd found, and all at once the living room went silent apart from the heavy breaths of the three agents. The ghost disappeared, and the temperature started rising. George sat back on his knees and held the swaddled object up, bits of foam stuffing caught in his curls. "Knife, it's got blood on it. I'd wager she killed her husband. There was a cut already made in the back, made it easier to find." He looked vaguely manic, what with his wide grin and foam-covered hair, but Lockwood couldn't deny his gratitude for his weird friend.
"I reckon we need to have a chat with DEPRAC, then. Mrs. Lovey clearly doesn't live up to her name," he replied, smile matching George's.
~~~
Half an hour later, Lockwood was on his way to hers. He'd left George and Lucy in the taxi, telling them he had something to sort out and he'd be back later, and to not wait up for him, and had caught his own cab to his destination.
He dragged himself up the front steps, knocking on the front door, and couldn't help the smile that appeared when it swung open to reveal his girlfriend.
"Jesus Christ, you look like shit."
"Charming as ever, love. Can I come in?"
Y/n stepped to the side, giving him a peck on the lips as he went past. "Shoes off, then up to my room. I'll be there in a sec. Gimme your coat, I'll hang it up for you."
He pulled himself up to her room, trying to be as quiet as possible so as not to wake her siblings, and collapsed on her bed.
"Look at you. You're like a puppy, all cute and cuddly."
He lifted his head as Y/n walked in, closing the door behind her with a soft click as she balanced a tray in her hands.
"Jacket off. And shirt."
"If you wanted me naked you could have just said so, darling." He wriggled his eyebrows suggestively, revelling in her blush.
"Shut up and strip, Anthony," she mumbled.
He complied, smirk turning into smile as he saw the medical supplies on the tray, right next to a pot of tea and a plate of biscuits.
"What even happened?"
"Honestly? No clue. Type One turned out to be a Type Two murder victim though, so that was fun."
"You know, there are times I wish I had Talent. Then you come here looking like this and saying things like that and I wonder why I ever wanted it in the first place. Easy on the shirt, I think it's stuck." He'd winced trying to peel the fabric away from the wound, and Y/n immediately replaced his fingers with hers, touch gentle as she attempted to prise his shirt off. Sucking in air through her teeth as she got it off, Lockwood knew it was bad. It had been a dull throb the whole time he'd been travelling over, too exhausted to think about it more, but now that he had nothing else to think about the pain sharpened.
"This is gonna hurt, okay? I'm just gonna sterilise it, so try not to move. Three, two..." He waited for one, but before she got there, Y/n had placed the cotton wool on his arm, dabbing the alcohol on the wound. He gritted his teeth, asking her about her day. She spoke while she worked, cleaning it out and covering it in protective wrapping. Her voice distracted him, letting him lose himself in her words, and she was done before he knew it, pouring a cup of tea and offering it out to him. "Put this on," she said, passing over an old shirt of his that he left at hers specifically for times like this.
"Do you really want me to?"
"No, but if it means that when my parents inevitably walk in they don't kick you out forever, I'll live with it." He laughed slightly, placing the tea down and pulling the top on, careful not to disturb his wound.
"You know you don't have to do that, right? I'm perfectly capable of looking after my own injuries."
"I know," she shrugged, sitting down next to him on the bed. "But I don't mind. Just another excuse to be close to you, I guess."
"You don't need an excuse for that, love. You know I'll happily give you anything you like."
"Anything?"
He nodded.
"Alright," she said, leaning up to plant a kiss on his lips, breaking away when their smiles got too wide.
"I thought you were going to make me dance naked in the street or something." Her eyes went wide as she took in his words.
"Oh my god, I am totally making you do that sometime."
He groaned, unable to fight the smile on his face as she peppered his cheeks with kisses, finally pressing one to his mouth.
"Remind me why I love you?"
"Because I'm amazing, and the most incredible person ever?"
He chuckled, kissing her again. "Yeah. You are."
~~~
"Where the hell have you been, Tony? We've been waiting for you!"
"Just had some last minute things to sort out, don't get your knickers in a twist, Kipps. Oh, thanks Luce," he said, smiling at the girl as she handed him a flask of tea. He'd actually been at Y/n's, spending time with her before her shift at the pub. He'd almost been late, her parents wanting him to stay for dinner (he had politely declined, reminding them that he had a job to go to as well as their daughter), and her younger siblings wanting him to play with them. Lockwood and Y/n's parents had been friends since before either of them were born, at one point the two families living next to each other on Portland Row, and it was only the arrival of the fourth baby five years ago that had made the L/n family move. It had only been natural that Anthony and Y/n started dating, having been childhood friends, and her parents were delighted at the pairing. Unfortunately that now meant that they wanted him to spend every spare minute at their house, which more often than not made him slightly late for work.
"I'm not wearing knickers," the older boy muttered indignantly, clearly unable to come up with a good enough retort.
"Oh, are these the files? Thanks George."
"Wait, have you not even read these?" Kipps said, eyebrows rising.
"Of course I have, just not the whole compiled thing. I'm not stupid." Kipps scoffed at that.
"Yeah, sure you're not, Tony. C'mon. Hurry up and read, we're late because of you and we need to set everything up before it gets dark."
~~~
Three hours later, the two teams were close to death.
Both in the sense that they were run ragged, energy severely depleted and bodies aching, and also in that they were completely surrounded by ghosts, Type Ones and Types Twos blocking every exit. The report had said that there were only meant to be two Spectres in the whole abandoned department store, but before it had even been properly dark Lucy had heard voices crying out and shouting, and Lockwood had seen death glows so bright he'd needed his sunglasses.
"Tony, what the hell are you doing?!"
He was taking a break, eyes aching from the brightness surrounding them and arm protesting the weight of his rapier. He scanned the area, sure that Lucy would have his back for a moment, and spotted something through a gap in the Visitors.
"Lucy?"
"What?!"
"I need you to not kill me and cover me with flares."
"Why?"
"Because I'm going to run through the ghosts."
"You're WHAT?!"
"What? What's he saying?" Kipps was trying to get closer to them, rapier cutting arcs into the air and not giving him much headway.
"You're impossible, you know that?" Lucy glared at him, grabbing some flares from her belt.
"Yep. Ready?" She threw, the magnesium creating a break in the swarm of ghosts large enough for Lockwood to cut through. He made it to the other side (although a near miss from a badly aimed flare made him think that Lucy was trying to hit him and not the Visitors), trying to block out the sounds of his team mates yelling as they fought swathes of the undead. He ducked under a chair that a poltergeist had thrown, dodging the knives hurled afterwards. Skidding to a halt in front of a large iron box filled with objects, the lid hanging open, Lockwood slammed it shut, throwing a net over the top for good measure and securing the edges. Within seconds the majority of the Visitors disappeared. A few still remained, including the two poltergeists, but the number was much better.
The two teams spent the next thirty minutes finding the various Sources of the remaining ghosts, all the while trying to not get hit by the items the poltergeists were throwing, and by the end of it when Kipps suggested going to the pub, nobody disagreed.
~~~
Lockwood and Co were in the taxi on their way to the pub when George piped up.
"Why'd you agree to going to the pub with Kipps? I would have thought you'd rather eat your own foot than spend more time with him."
"I need a drink, and he said he'd buy the first round. If it's free, I'll take it. I don't really care who's buying it, even if it's Kipps."
They clambered out the taxi, Lockwood paying the driver and jogging to catch up with the other two just as they entered the pub. Spotting Kipps' team already sat down, the three of them headed over, taking seats and giving their order to the older agent. Lockwood looked around, certain he recognised the building but unsure why, when his gaze caught on the girl behind the bar.
Ah.
Of course the pub Kipps picked was the one that Y/n worked at. Lockwood had been here before, which is why he thought it was familiar, but nobody knew about his relationship with the bartender. Kipps came back with the drinks then, one of the other servers following with the rest and asking for ID. Taking his first sip, Lockwood felt himself relax a little more, happy to not be going anywhere for a while after the gruelling job earlier.
~~~
"You," Lucy pointed at him, "are so drunk right now."
"Seriously, you cannot hold your alcohol, can you Tony?"
"Don't call me Tony, you prick." It was true that Lockwood was a lightweight, and he knew it, but he grumbled about the accusation anyway. Kipps only laughed, not doing much better than his rival in terms of handling alcohol, and took another swig of his beer.
"You're probably rubbish at picking up girls, too. Y'know, you're probably rubbish at every normal guy thing."
"Shut up, I can so pick up girls." He wasn't going to let Kipps tell him he was bad at anything.
"Oh really?"
"Yep. Amazing at it."
"Bet you can't get a kiss out the bartender though."
"Which one," he said, hoping Kipps would pick the right one.
"The one in the blue top, about your age. In fact, I am so confident you'll be shit at this, I'll bet ten quid you can't do it."
"Oh you're on," Lockwood said, knowing already he'd win the bet. Kipps had unknowingly picked Lockwood's girlfriend, and this would be the easiest ten pounds of his life.
"I'll bet a tenner too. I'm looking forward to watching you fail dramatically," Kat Godwin added, smirk on her face. Bobby placed his own bet, and soon enough there was fifty quid on the line, with George and Lucy agreeing with Kipps.
"Off you go, Lockwood," Lucy smiled, giving him a pat on the back. "Try not to traumatise the poor girl."
"Oh, just you all wait," he slurred, pointing a finger at them. "This is gonna be easyyyy." He headed for the bar, confidence filling him and giving him the ability to walk a lot straighter than he would otherwise have. He leaned forward on the wooden surface, fingers drumming against it. "Heyyy," he said, smiling up at his girlfriend as he slid (unsuccessfully) onto a stool.
"Hi... you okay?"
"Oh, yeah, I'm great, and you," he wagged his finger at her, pausing for effect, "are gorgeous." He winked, and she suppressed a laugh, making him pout. "Why're you laughing? It's true!"
"Ant, honey, you are very drunk right now. Please go home," she said, pressing a hand to her mouth to stop the giggles bursting out.
"But I can't go home," he said, suddenly very serious.
"Oh really? Why's that?"
"Because I need a kiss if I'm gonna go home." He puckered up immediately, leaning forward over the bar and closing his eyes.
"Oh my god, Anthony, stop it!"
"Aw, do you not wanna kiss me?" He pouted again, and Y/n couldn't stop her laughter anymore. Lockwood sat back, crossing his arms over his chest and huffing. "Well, I'm not going away until I get a kiss from the prettiest bartender person lady that I've ever seen, so you'll have to get used to me being here."
"Okay, alright! Lemme serve this customer, yeah?" She turned away, leaving Lockwood to stew in his seat at her lack of kisses. Waiting for her to come back to him felt like an eternity, and when she came around the bar to stand next to him, he perked up, half launching himself at her. "Woah! Hold on, Ant! Jesus!" He was still sat on the stool, Y/n being only slightly taller than him despite being stood up, and he pulled her between his legs, arms wrapping around her waist. "Wait, what about your friends? I thought they didn't know?"
"Don't care, jus' wanna kiss you. There's a share of fifty pounds in it for you," he said suggestively, wiggling his eyebrows like he had a few weeks ago when she'd patched him up.
"Oh wow, you really love me, huh? Kissing me for money?" she asked sarcastically, but her eyes were warm. He nodded, dopey look on his face.
"Please? 'Cause Kipps said I can't pick up girls, and he bet money that I couldn't get a kiss out of you, and then the others bet money too, and mostly I wanna prove him wrong, but also I want the money so I can take you on the most amazing date in your life and get you ice cream."
"You are such a golden retriever puppy of a boyfriend, aren't you? Come here." She took his face in her hands, placing a few soft kisses on his mouth. His arms tightened around her waist, holding her closer to him, and Y/n had to brace a hand on the bar so that she didn't fall over from the awkward angle. When she pulled back, he chased her lips for a moment, opening his eyes slowly. His gaze was full of love, and he had a gentle smile on his face.
"I love you, Y/n/n."
"Love you too, Ant. Now get your fifty pounds and drink some water."
"Ugh, but water's boringgg," he complained, frown forming on his face. Y/n chuckled, kissing the crease between his eyebrows.
"I'll give you more than kisses when you come over on Saturday if you sober up." Lockwood stopped frowning immediately, and Y/n could practically feel the happiness radiating off of him.
"Where's the water?"
~~~
"Shit, how'd you do that, Tony?"
Lockwood shrugged. "I'm just really good at picking up girls."
"Sure, is that vodka?"
"Nope, water."
"Why have you got that?" Kipps wrinkled his nose, handing over his portion of Lockwood's winnings.
"Because she told me to drink it," he said, sipping the liquid through the straw he'd asked for (it made drinking boring things more fun, he'd told Y/n).
"Uh... okay?"
"Yeah. I feel like- hang on, Lucy, where's your tenner? Thanks. I feel like it's a little bit unfair, the bet, 'cause she is actually my girlfriend, but- no, you can't take the money back! You made a bet! No take-backs! But thanks anyway."
"So you can't pick up girls!" Kipps shouted, thinking he'd finally found something Anthony Lockwood couldn't do.
"Well technically I can, 'cause I had to pick her up in the first place to get her to be my girlfriend, and also she's not that heavy, so I can definitely pick her up if she doesn't wriggle too much. I know 'cause I've done it before."
Kipps groaned. "Wait... she just told you to drink water, so you are?"
"Yep. She's very persuasive. Basically said that if I drink it all then when I go to her house on Saturday we're gonna have sex," he said casually.
Everybody around the table choked on their drinks.

masterlist
When you woke up, the room was filled with the pale glow of the full moon shining outside the attic window. Usually, Lucy pulled the curtains close when she went to bed, so there shouldn’t have been a way for the moonlight to disturb your peaceful slumber. Your eyes were heavy as you felt around the other side of the mattress. It was cold, Lucy’s blanket still folded up from the morning before. You slowly sat up, looking over at the little digital alarm clock on Lucy’s bedside table.
11:30.
Due to a headache, you had gone to bed earlier tonight, leaving your three colleagues behind in the living room. The pounding in your head had subsided considerably after a few hours of sleep, but your throat felt dry like sandpaper. You reached over to the cup on your bedside table, only to find it equally dry. Oh well. With your house slippers on, cup in hand, you made your way down the stairs. You made an effort to be quiet, just in case anyone else was sleeping already.
The kitchen was dark, and you didn’t bother switching on the bright light which would have probably only hurt your eyes anyway. The faucet was right by the window, where the moon shone bright enough for you to see what you were doing. After two cups of water, you were ready to make your way back to your bed. As you carefully pulled the kitchen door closed behind you, your eyes fell on the thin strip of light that poured out of the living room onto the floorboards of the hallway.
On second thought, maybe the bed could wait and you could join Lucy for some late-night talks in the living room. You stepped closer to the door, subconsciously trying to move as quietly as possible. As you approached the door, you could hear Lockwood’s voice as well as Lucy’s. So they were both still awake. The door was slightly ajar, allowing you to peer into the room before opening it fully.
Lockwood and Lucy sat on the couch, Lucy with her back to you. George was nowhere to be seen, probably in bed already. Something about the way Lockwood and Lucy were turned towards each other made you stop in your tracks. The hand that had been ready to push open the door slowly fell to your side, as you watched with wide eyes as Lockwood took both of Lucy’s hands, smiling at her tenderly.
“Look, I’ve been trying to get this off my chest for such a long time. Ever since you started working here, really. You are so important to me.”
It felt like someone had placed a noose around your neck and pulled it tight. Were you about to watch Lockwood confess his love to Lucy?
Lockwood hesitated now. You watched Lucy squeeze his hands. “Go on”, she said encouragingly.
“More important than I could ever put into words. Everything about you is perfect to me.”
Suddenly you felt like throwing up. Your head was spinning as you stumbled backwards and blindly felt for the wall to steady you. The thought of them being able to hear you didn’t even cross your mind as you practically raced up the stairs.
⫘⫘A few minutes prior, in the living room⫘⫘
“No, stop! Try again.”
George was slouched in one of the chairs, biscuit in hand. “That was horrible, Lockwood. Where are the feelings? Where is the love? I’m not feeling the love!”
Lucy had to bite back a laugh as Lockwood grimaced. “It’s Lucy! You try confessing your undying love to Lucy, and we can talk again.”
She kicked his shin. “Hey! Don’t forget I’m trying to help you out here. Just imagine it’s Y/N. Shouldn’t be that hard, we know she’s all you think about.”
The tips of Lockwood’s ears went pink. “Alright, alright. Let’s try again. Lucy, don’t look at me like that or I’ll laugh.”
Lucy made an effort to keep a neutral expression. Lockwood went to grab both her hands and took a deep breath.
“Look, I’ve been trying to get this off my chest for such a long time. Ever since you started working here, really. You are so important to me.” A short pause. George nodded encouragingly and showed a thumbs up. Lucy squeezed Lockwood’s hands.
“Go on.”
“More important than I could ever put into words. Everything about you is perfect to me.”
Lockwood was about to continue when the sound of footsteps on the stairs sounded through the room. He immediately dropped Lucy’s hands. “Did you hear that?”
George got up, turning to the door. “Yes”, he said slowly. “Sounded like someone running up the stairs.” He and Lucy exchanged a worried look as Lockwood rushed to the door. “Shit! Do you think she heard?”
“Probably.”
“That was not the plan!” But Lockwood didn’t stay to explain what exactly the plan was, instead, he ran out into the hallway and up the stairs, taking three steps at once.
Lucy looked over to George. He just shrugged. “Maybe that was the kick in the ass he needed.”
Lockwood was sure that he had never run up a set of stairs that fast in his life. He was out of breath as he came to a halt in front of the door to the attic. His hands were sweaty as he knocked a few times, praying that you would open the door.
At the knock you sat up on the bed, frantically wiping away the tears from your cheeks. Who could that be? George? Maybe your running had woken him up and he was here to tell you off. You buried your head in your pillow. You didn’t want to talk to him. You wanted to wallow in self-pity and cry about the fact that the boy you liked, liked your best friend instead. But the knocks continued.
You wiped your cheeks again, just for good measure and hoped that the tears weren’t so obvious. You pulled open the door, ready to tell George that you were sorry but not in the mood for a scene, but the words died in your throat as you came face to face with Lockwood. You gasped, trying to close the door again. He moved so quickly that you barely registered it and held it open.
“Are you crying?”, he asked, and while you shook your head, the tears came back with a vengeance at the concern and tenderness in his voice. “No”, you sniffled, taking a few steps back. “Leave me alone, please.”
He ignored you. “What’s wrong? Were you downstairs?” You didn’t say anything, just wiped another stray tear. Lockwood sighed deeply. “How much of that did you hear?"
It felt like your stomach had tied itself into a thousand knots. “Listen, Lockwood, I’m happy for you and Lucy, but please, I need some time to myself right now.”
“Y/N –“ Lockwood ran his hand through his hair. “Listen to me. It’s not what you think.”
Suddenly, you could feel anger rising within you. What was he trying to do? Flirting with you for months, keeping your hopes up, only to then choose Lucy and tell you ‘it’s not what it looks like’.
“It’s not? It seemed awfully clear to me, Lockwood.”
You could tell he was hurt by your sharp tone.
“I swear it’s not. Please, Y/N, you have to believe me. It's a long story."
You crossed your arms over your chest. "I got time, try me."
Lockwood buried his face in his hand. It was hard for you to see him like this. He seemed to be in great distress.
He stepped closer to you, and you allowed him to take your hands, even though you immediately had the picture of him doing the same to Lucy in your mind.
“This is going to sound so dumb, but I promise you it’s the truth. I’ve been thinking so long about how I could possibly tell you how I feel about you. And George had this idea – this stupid idea where I would confess to Lucy, but pretend it’s you. Like a practice run. That’s what you heard.”
You stared at him. “How could I possibly believe that?”, you finally asked, and his shoulders slumped down. “You always know exactly what to say, in every situation. How am I supposed to believe that you need to practice –“
“Because you make me so unbelievably nervous, Y/N. You should have heard the five attempts before that final one. It was pathetic. George could have come up with something better.”
You smiled weakly. “I’m not sure about this.”
Lockwood looked at you, desperation written all over his face. “I know a way of proving it to you if you let me”, he said, his right hand slipping up your arm to cup your cheek. “Please?”
Your head was spinning from his sudden closeness and the warmth of his hand. You closed your eyes. “Prove it”, you whispered and your heart skipped a beat as you felt the soft touch of his lips on yours.

LOCKLYLE
Specially for those people who say that Locklyle is too hasty in the show. That they fell in love with each other too quickly and it doesn't correspond to the books.
Yes, this is just my opinion, but it was important for me to say this (carefully, there is a lot of text).
SPOILERS!
These are the words of Jonathan Stroud about Lockwood's crush on Lucy:
"I think that deep down he (Lockwood) knows very early on (maybe even in the first book, when he saves her at the well), but he is very bad at looking at his own emotions, so it takes him ages to even guess. I think that when she leaves the company, he is hit hard and probably know then, but he still doesn't show it very easily..."
Lockwood has had strong feelings for Lucy since the first book. As did Lucy to him. This is a fact. But Stroud's romance is very, very weak, and the reader only guesses about many things. But Lockwood and Lucy have always been more than friends. This is noted by everyone around: George, Flo, Holly, etc. Because their feelings are obvious to everyone except Lucy and Lockwood. And this is normal when we talk about 14-year-olds and the fact that Stroud never writes romance openly. That's not his style. But he talks a lot about Lockwood and Lucy's relationship. And it's true that they've always been more than just friends. Their feelings were always strong, even if they denied it.
But what's normal for books can look terrible in the show. In the show, the characters are older, they can't behave like 14-year-old stupid teenagers (yes, they are still stupid 14-year-olds, but it's harder to ignore falling in love). It would be terrible if they did. Lockwood and Lucy in the show are still trying to deny feelings for each other, but they can't ignore their infatuation so easily. They still have a lot of problems and difficulties to face, but they can no longer say about their butterflies in the stomach that it is "indigestion". It was funny in the books, but not in the show. The audience just wouldn't understand it.
But this is the same slowborn as in the books. This is caring for each other, vulnerability, casual touches and tenderness in the eyes... The actors are brilliant. They showed us which Locklyle was in the books. They will demonstrate the full depth of feelings and tenderness to each other with one glance. But they still keep their distance. And they still have a lot of difficulties ahead of them (whoever has read the books will understand). It's just that before this knowledge was available only to the surrounding characters, but now that we are no longer tied to Lucy's subjective point of view, we see the story more objectively. Why shouldn't the audience understand what is obvious to every hero who sees the interaction of Lockwood and Lucy?
The creators understand Locklyle very well. They perfectly spelled out their relationship if the characters were a little older when they met. They are no longer as silly as in the books, their feelings are now more mature and less controllable. This is a wonderful logical development of the relationship between the characters that I saw. It's perfect (God save the show's creators and actors).
And now a little bit about the sore point. I love Locklyle in books. I love them more than my life. But the biggest problem of books FOR ME is that the characters never learned to talk to each other. And that's what has always bothered me the most. Any psychologist will say that Lockwood and Lucy may have problems in the future, because they often IGNORE problems and do not know how to talk about their feelings. It's still hard for them to talk about their grievances, problems, misunderstandings or love. And what's even worse, they can't even admit to themselves some things, let alone tell another person about it. The author delicately leaves the characters "behind the scenes" when they should finally talk about their feelings. I respect this decision of the author and cannot be offended by it. But the fact is that for such closed people as Lockwood and Lucy, it was important to learn how to talk about it openly. It would be important for their development as characters, but no. It wasn't in the books. The final is open and everyone can figure out for themselves how they coped with it.
I'm happy that the characters in the show are much more open to dialogue. Because it gives their relationship a chance. Lucy is finally talking openly about Lockwood's problems. In the book, she only thinks about it, but never voices it directly. And that's bad for Lockwood. He needs a man who will not only follow him to hell, but who after hell will be able to kick his a*s for his recklessness. Who can tell about his problems by looking him in the face to help find a solution later. To say, "I'm here, you can trust me, you're safe." Because it's the right thing to do. That's what close people do. And I'm happy that the creators of the show understand this. In the books, Lucy was always just next to Lockwood. She was his support and his light, but she was content only with the closeness that Lockwood gave her. And it doesn't seem right to me. It is possible that Stroud meant it "behind the scenes", but for me it was a little insufficient.
I'm happy that they paid a little more attention to these things in the show than in the books. Yes, Lucy is much more confident, but she is older. She's not afraid to stand up to Lockwood. And for that, I loved Lucy even more. Lockwood is a little more open with Lucy, but it's logical and right, because his feelings for Lucy make him more vulnerable to her. And being afraid of losing her, he makes contact with Lucy a little more. I also think it's a consequence of Lucy being much bolder and more honest with Lockwood than in the books.
I adore their relationship so much and I will be really looking forward to how Locklyle will be revealed in the coming seasons.
This is what I think about Locklyle and the claims to their relationship.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
She rustled about, shuffling her feet about, an ill-attempt to tuck them under the blanket, as the sunlight fell through the curtains and into her face. After trying for a few more minutes, she gave up. Groaning softly, she rubbed at her eyes, and found it strewn over the foot of the bed, just barely touching their feet. It didn't matter anymore though, as he mumbled something she couldn't quite make out, shifting around, before pulling her into him abruptly. She bit her lip to keep from gasping in shock, he was still very much so deep in sleep, and she wanted to keep it that way. It wasn't everyday that he got mornings like this, one where he could sleep in without having to worry about ghosts or relic-men or DEPRAC chasing them down. He quieted again, the only sounds between them were his quiet breaths as his chest rose up and down. His skin was warm against hers, she smiled and brushed the part of his hair that had flopped over his face.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The kitchen was filled with the smell of toast and tea. Placing the last slices of bread into the toaster, she began to wave her arms in the air, jumping up and down. It probably wasn't very graceful or elegant, but opportunities were made to be taken. George and Lucy were visiting family and Lockwood was out like a log, so she continued to twirl around, the colours blurring into one, until she bumped into the counter. Sending the sharp edge a glare, she turned to gather a couple of plates.
She gasped, her eyes growing wide, "Oh- Lockwood".
"Good morning, darling", his grinned, leaning against the doorway, voice still rough from sleep. She tried to smooth down her hair, which was sticking up at different ends, her ill-attempt at trying to save face. As the music became more slow-paced, he closed the distance between them. Chest to chest, he looped an arm loosely around her waist, swaying her to beat. She laced her fingers together behind his neck, resting her head on his chest, letting him lead her through the motions. The beat picked up, and she giggled as he spun her around the room, just narrowly missing the delicate china cups that were arranged on the table.
As the song came to an end, she came to a realisation of how they had ended up in this position. She bit her lip, "How much of that did you see ?".
He lowered his face close to hers, his hot breath heated her skin. Her heart pounded in her chest. "All of it", he whispered, before bursting into laughter.
She frowned, smacking him across the shoulder, "You are so creepy".
"But you love me anyway", he feigned pain, holding his shoulder at an angle, pouting.
"You're lucky I do", she pursed her lips, before tugging him into a kiss, clutching the collar of his pyjama's. He dropped the act, bringing his hands to cup her face.
Breaking the kiss, he raised a brow at her, "Hey, is that my shirt ?".
"Yes ? Is that problem ?", she tilted her head, sending him a challenging look. It wasn't intentional, but in her half-asleep, half-awake state, she had grabbed the first thing that she found and slipped it on. When she eventually managed to stumble out of the room, without stepping on a creaky board or tripping over the carpet, she was just thankful to not have roused him.
He leaned against the counter with his arms crossed, "Maybe, looks better on you". His dark eyes were fixed on hers, occasionally flitting down to the crumpled shirt that hung over her mismatched shorts and tank top, slipping off one of her shoulders.
She suddenly felt self-conscious, wrapping it tighter around herself, before busying herself with the food. She stacked the golden-brown toast high on the plate, surrounded by generous helpings of butter and marmalade. Placing the mugs of tea on the table, she dusted her hands off, "I was going to make you breakfast in bed but now-".
His cool demeanour melted away, jumping up, he grabbed her hand and dragged her up the stairs, "No, no- We can get back in".
"Wait- We forgot the food", she laughed, not really even trying to stop him.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
She sighed, nestling her head in his neck, "I wish we could stay here forever". He smelt of lavender and clean sheets, his arms closed around her securely, every part of her relaxed into him. The morning sunshine had turned into a more intense afternoon, the thick curtains drawn, just letting little slivers of light pass through. She traced patterns on his hand, blinking as she fought the pull of sleep.
"We can", he ran his fingers through her hair, tucking a strand behind her ear.
She frowned, pushing his arm away to sit up, "You know we can't"
"Just for today we can", he threw an arm over her, easily yanking her back down into him.
Her back collided into his chest, and she yelped. He chuckled, kissing the back of her neck, sending shivers down her spine. She shook her head, waving him away, laughing, "Who are you ? And what did you do to my Lockwood ?".
Shifting about so she faced him, she could see that the smile had faded from his face. "I'm still him, it's just that now I know my priorities", he ran a finger under her jaw to tilt her chin up, his voice quiet but full of passion.
She held her breath, as his gaze fell to her lips before coming back up to meet her eyes. "Your mouth is gonna be the death of me", she groaned, closing the gap between them. Lacing her fingers through his fluffy hair, she desperately pressed herself closer to him. His lips were soft, the faintest hint of bergamot and honey lingered on them. Her skin was hot, where his touched hers, in a way that made her heart race in anticipation. A hand gripped her neck, while the other squeezed her waist, suffocating her against him. She felt like she was running out of air, but the warmth that bloomed in her chest, only made her continue to kiss him eagerly.
She broke the kiss, hoping to turn away, so she could regain some semblance of composure. Smirking, he tightened the grip on her waist, forcing her to focus on him, "Oh I'm well aware and I intend to keep it that way". She wouldn't have it any other way.

My thoughts on Supergirl season 3:
(I needed a few days to gather them, hope this is coherent)
First thoughts:
Maybe it was because I just took so long to get through it, but I felt like this season fell short compared to the last two
Things I liked:
Lena. Lena Luthor was such a queen this season. I loved her whole arc, from buying catco to curing Sam, I loved how she stuck up for her friends no matter what
Winn, of course, was the absolute best as always. He was the only character I didn't get annoyed with at some point, he was just cute and sweet and too smart for his own good. He and Brainy were so fun.
Alex's arc of wanting to be a mother. I really loved that part, and hope she eventually gets to be one before the show ends
Sam and Ruby were amazing additions. I really loved the two of them, their characters and their arcs. Alex and Ruby were also awesome.
James coming out as guardian, and the show focusing on racism, if only for a little bit. I'm glad they tried, at least. I have some problems with James this season that I will get to later
J'onn getting rid of lethal weapons. A difficult part of loving sci-fi and fantasy is that you do have to in a way let go of some of your ideals to support your fav characters when they're often government officials who use lethal weapons a lot, so I was very happy when J'onn made the choice he did.
Supercorp! Going into this show I knew it was the most popular ship, but last season I just couldn't get into it. This season, however, I loved it. The drama between Lena and Supergirl, Kara and Lena supporting each other, Lena telling Kara 'I love you', even if it's platonic, was all wonderful. Can't wait to see more of them now that mon el is gone (hopefully) for good
Things I didn't like:
The lack of focus on Kara Danvers, as a reporter, as a person in general. I swear she was in her supergirl suit the entire time. And I get a lot of the season was her battling trying to let go of her humanity, so I can let it slide, but I miss adorable Kara Danvers! Hopefully next season there will be more focus on reporter Kara and her life at Catco as well as the DEO
Where was James?????? I swear I barely saw him! He got maybe one or two episodes where he had a focus, and while I loved those episodes, I feel like he was either just a love interest for Lena or a plot device for most of the show. Also, did not like James and Lena, for obvious reasons. Supercorp and JamesWinn forever!
Maggie and Alex! I miss Maggie! I loved her so much, and while I get why they had to break up, I loved them together so much. They were going to have the biggest, gayest wedding National city had ever seen! There breakup was very disappointing
Winn leaving! Did I mention he's my favorite character? I can't have him leaving! If he doesn't come back I'm going to be so sad.
Mon el coming back. What was the point in that. Can he just not. Like, I liked him in the second season, but was happy when he had to leave cuz I thought it was probably for the best, and was already starting to consider supercorp. Anyway, I hope he doesn't come back, but Winn does
The lack of Cat Grant. No explanation needed
Ok, that's about it. I think I'm going to take a quick break and rewatch lockwood and co before I start season four.

IT'S A NORMAL CASE, just like every other case. Yet here I am, watching his every movement with the rapier.
The ghost was only a few feet from him as he attacks with precision and grace. His every move was elegant as if it was a choreographed dance. The lighting was doing him wonders as I just sat and admired him, ignoring my job of looking for the source, ignoring my name being called by George, probably to scold me for letting Lockwood distract me once again.
"Stop getting distracted," I felt a rushed slap on my arm, knocking me back into reality. The slap I have seen was from George who was now next to me, searching the floorboards in front of us.
"Sorry, I was making sure he didn't get hurt..." I mumbled, going back to the task at hand.
After a few more seconds of searching, I found the source, a small silver ring. Without hesitation, I wrapped it in the silver net. The noises of the ghost disappeared as I a rapier dropped. My eyes flew over to where Lockwood was standing, his hands on his knees, bending over, breathing heavily.
I was instantly bombarded with thoughts of worry, fearing that he was hurt. The thought of him being hurt sent shivers down my spine as I rushed over to him. If he dies now, it will be my fault, I didn't protect him, I couldn't save him.
As soon as I was by my side, he fell and leaned onto me, letting me inspect him, checking for any injuries. Though I didn't see any, I held him in my arm, closer, ignoring the feeling of butterflies in my stomach. Ignoring the fuzzy feeling in my heart as I rocked on my heels.
I will never be able to tell him how I feel, I will never be able to show him all of my love, it's not possible. We face near death almost every night. It's not fair to put him in the position of having to be afraid of losing me, as I am afraid of losing him.
Tumblr media
Tonight's case was more difficult than normal, as our plans were flipped. Instead of Lucy and Lockwood fighting the ghost as George and I search for the source, I was trapped with the ghost with George. Lockwood and Lucy are left to find the source.
George and I were nowhere near as good as the other two, but we are surviving for now. Dodging as we can, throwing salt bombs, and George swinging the chain. Our rapiers were long forgotten as George dropped his only minutes ago and mine was left outside the room when I dropped it chasing after George.
I could hear banging on the door, it was definitely Lockwood. It sounded as if he was freaking out, but the sounds were largely muffled. The question of why he would be freaking out, as this was usual for a job, pondered me for a second, but I was quick to be thrown back into action.
The next few moments were brutal, as I was sent flying into a desk. The pain in my side was worse than most injuries I had before. I am sure it is bleeding, as when I pressed my hands to my side, I left a thick liquid, spilling into my shirt.
Before I got the chance to even stand, I am met face to face with the ghost, as it goes to touch me, it fades away. I let out a groan, squeezing my eyes shut, knowing I have a moment.
The bang of the door was loud, causing me to open my eyes, losing my moment of silence. Lockwood came crashing in. His face full of worry and panic as he looked around the room quickly, till his eyes found me. Before I could blink, he was before me, kneeling down on the ground, looking me up and down before meeting my eyes.
He began to take out an emergency kit from his bag that was on the floor next to us. His touch was gentle as if he was trying not to hurt me. Slowly Lockwood pulled away at my jacket and then my shirt, leaving me in just a tanktop underlayer that I pulled up for him to see the open wound.
While he was patching me, I couldn't help but stare at him. Taking in his beauty. Though you could definitely tell he just got done a job.
He was a mess, his hair all out of order, his tie was slightly undone, the collar of his shirt up in some places, and dirt splotches were all over his face. His face, it was full of emotion. Worry, panic, relief, the last something I don't quite recognize. But it seems like a look of love. Love? No, it can't be. He cannot love me as I love him.
Tumblr media
Cases always seem to go wrong, so facing a near-death experience has turned into normality in my line of work. Which is exactly why I am laying on the ground with a type two floating above me.
Though I expected at that moment to be killed or at least injured. But I wasn't. Lockwood swung his rapier in between the ghost and me, pulling me up as it disappeared for a few seconds. He held me behind him. Throwing himself in danger.
Usually, he was reckless, always through everyone in danger, but now he is protecting me. I felt guilt run through me as he begins to fight off the now reappeared.
It has been weeks of us dancing around what could be feelings for each other. We are always putting each other first. It was getting to the point that now Lucy and George were teasing us. But we couldn't love each other, we couldn't. Not with what we do for work.
One of us is bound to end up dead, leaving the other heartbroken. We cannot love each other. But here we are, loving each other so much that we would throw ourselves in danger for the other person.
I was quick to push Lockwood out of the way and start fighting it myself. Using my rapier as well as any salt bombs I could quickly grab. The ghost evaporated a few seconds later, leaving me to put back my rapier and look lockwood in the face as we waited for the others.
"What the fuck do you think you are doing?" My voice was loud, our breathing was heavy as were exhausted.
"Saving you," His voice was much calmer than mine as if he didn't see what he did wrong.
I don't think I will ever admit this, but my heart fluttered when he stepped in and saved me. But it was dumb and reckless and he could have gotten hurt. It would have been my fault.
"No, you were throwing yourself in danger," I spat at him. "I would have been fine."
"You call that fine? You were nearly ghost-touched!" His voice was now reaching louder levels as he talked to me. "I couldn't let you get hurt!"
"You could've gotten yourself hurt!"
"I don't care. I couldn't live with myself if you got hurt, I couldn't." The argument was loud now, making tears threaten to leave my eyes, but they haven't yet. But if I wasn't mistaken Lockwood's eyes were watering too.
"I care, Lockwood, I fucking care."
"Why? Why do you care so fucking much about me?"
"God, Lockwood, must you be so dense? I love you. I have always loved you."
We stood for a second, scared to move. Tears had now started spilling down my cheeks as I just stared at him. Not sure what to feel anymore.
"I know, we can't be together. Because one of us is going to end up dead, the other heartbroken. But that doesn't mean I don't love you, Lockwood," My voice cracked, making my words sound less harsh than I intended.
"You would think that would give us more reason to date. Honestly, I am so fucking scared of losing you. The thought of seeing you die before I even get the chance to kiss you doesn't seem right."
"Oh stop with your charm, Lockwood, you know we will both end up hurt," I sounded more unsure than I wanted.
"Please, y/n. I know you are scared, but I think I would be more hurt knowing that you died without me telling you that... I love you," The last words, were more of a whisper as he inched towards me.
Oh, how, I hate the adrenaline rush for making me do what I am about to do next.
I move forward with a harsh step and grab his tie, forcing his lips onto mine. I kissed him. Although I was still angry, this kiss seemed aggressive but passionate. When I pulled away, we both sat there in shock.
To think, we are fighting for our lives, but a simple kiss scares us more.
"So does that mean you'll be my girlfriend?" He asked, his voice was a whisper now.
Before I could answer, I heard the door open, causing me to look over to see George and Lucy analyzing our position, giving us questioning looks. I froze for a second, before letting go of his tie and walking away from him. I turned around slightly, giving him a smile, before walking to go talk to our friends.
It's odd how after so many near-death experiences, it took just one more to make us admit our feelings. Almost as if that was scarier than NEARLY DYING.

Imagining Locklyle’s First Kiss
I just need to write about their first kiss because I can just imagine it being sweet, passionate, tender and cute, all at the same time.
Tumblr media
It was a quiet night at Portland Row. The team had just returned from a particularly grueling mission, and everyone was exhausted. Lockwood had instructed everyone to take the rest of the night off and get some much-needed rest. However, he found himself unable to sleep.
He paced around the library, lost in thought. Lucy was always on his mind, and he couldn't help but wonder if he had missed his chance with her. Lockwood was lost in thought when he heard a soft knock at the door. He turned to see Lucy standing there, looking just as restless as he was.
"Can't sleep?" she asked, a small smile playing at the corners of her mouth.
Lockwood shook his head. "No, I can't seem to turn my mind off," he replied.
Lucy nodded in understanding, and they fell into a comfortable silence. They stood there for what felt like hours, lost in their own thoughts. Suddenly, Lucy turned to Lockwood, her eyes meeting his.
"Can I tell you something?" she asked.
Lockwood nodded, his heart beating faster.
Lucy took a deep breath. "I know we've been through a lot together, and I don't want to push things too fast, but I've been thinking about you a lot lately. And...I don't know, maybe it's crazy, but I just feel like there's something between us. Something more than just friendship."
Lockwood's heart skipped a beat. He had been waiting for this moment for what felt like forever. He took a step closer to Lucy, closing the gap between them.
"I feel the same way," he said softly.
And then, before he could overthink things, he leaned in and pressed his lips to hers. It was a gentle, tentative kiss at first, but it quickly deepened. Their arms wrapped around each other, holding on tightly as they gave into the moment.
When they finally pulled away, they were both breathless. Lockwood looked into Lucy's eyes, and he knew that he had made the right decision. He had finally let go of his fear and allowed himself to love.
"Thank you for telling me how you feel," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
Lucy smiled at him. "Thank you for kissing me," she replied, shyly.
They stood there for a moment longer, lost in their own world, before finally retiring to their respective rooms. But as Lockwood lay in bed, he tossed and turned while grinning like a fool, unable to shake off the memory and feeling of Lucy’s soft lips on his.

-soraya sori khan.
age: 35. birthday: January 2nd, 1987. pronouns: she/her. birthplace: lockwood springs, CO. (back for 5 years.) occupation: journalist at lockwood times. best traits:  efficient, observant, sociable worst traits: meddlesome, perfectionist, anxious sexuality: heterosexual.
Family has always been important to the Khan family and being the youngest of three girls, Soraya felt encompassed by familial love even between the petty squabbles of borrowing clothes and make up from one another.
Lockwood Springs was their childhood where Soraya has the happiest memories because when her eldest sister Farah went off to college in Boulder, everything seemed to change.
California became their new home and she had to start all over again at making friends and settling into a new way of life. With the third part of their sisterhood missing, Soraya never quite settled properly.
Life became more difficult when their parents cut all contact with Farah after discovering she had perused her passion for art and lied about her career. Since she was only 11, Soraya had no say in the matter and spent the years wondering how her eldest sister was doing.
Justice and truth had always been something that spurred a passionate response from Soraya, she went through the edgy teenage phase of debunking news articles and decided that she wanted to work within journalism. She graduated high school and pursued this career, accepting she would have to work from the bottom to the top.
Around this time, Soraya also broke their parents demands and reached out to Farah who had just welcomed children of her own. They rekindled their lost relationship quickly and fell back into how they always had been. Close and caring for one another, even from miles apart.
Soraya's plan always included moving back to Lockwood Springs and she did so just shy of her 30th birthday when she was offered a position at Lockwood Times. She had a good two years of being able to cover news stories the way she wanted to, until the rug was pulled from under her feet.
She met Cian Kelly not long after he arrived in Lockwood, and she should have seen all the signs. The lovebombing, the beautiful flowers being sent to her office 'just because.' The extravagant dates, the best of everything.
Only a few months into their whirlwind romance, Cian asked for a favor. A friend of a friend got into a spot of trouble and if the news articles picked it up, his whole livelihood could be lost. Soraya was hooked and spun the story in her article the way he asked, and that was the start of the end.
In between their romantic relationship, more and more of these favors kept appearing and before she knew it Soraya was under Cian's thumb and by the very nature of his world was an affiliate for his family's organization. All of the passion she ever had for journalism had been lost and she had turned into the very journalist she swore to never be.
Their relationship ended a year ago but Soraya cannot see a way of ever becoming an honest writer ever again, Cian knows too much and Soraya now knows how dangerous he and his connections can be. She keeps a brave face for her family and friends and hopes that she will see a way out safely soon.

but then! sleep is mine. (nov 25, 2022)
My Tumblr (and irl! he's a real person it's wild) bestie requested that I start doing daily updates on my account, sort of like I did for Tranquil's Studyblr Challenge (which I still need to do the last question for, oops!), and who am I to deny the public their wishes? Now that planning is done and this feature has finally arrived, I hope that I'll be able to keep up with it to some extent as time goes on! Thanks for the idea, and let me know what kinds of things you want to hear about in these posts :)
The Day, In Short
So, on Tuesday night, I got zero hours and zero minutes of sleep, and I've been using the holiday to catch up on that! So I slept about ten hours last night + napped for two today, and, as per usual, got made fun of for it. But I do not care! *smug* Everyone is just jealous that I love sleep with my new meds--they've made my sleep way deeper and falling asleep easier, which has really improved my relationship with it! On the plane yesterday, I fell asleep before we were even in the air, and I didn't wake up once. The best flight experience ever :)
I've had trouble focusing on reading these past few days, though. I brought Lockwood & Co. book three with me to visit family, but my attempts to read have been pretty pathetic. I think the focus issues might be a mix of accumulated lack of sleep & anxiety (unfortunately VERY related), so I'll need to be a bit easier on myself when it comes to reading for the next week or so, I think. Shorter phases of focus, more reading out loud!
OMGOMG LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT
Wednesday: I'm visiting family right now, and my youngest sibling convinced me to start watching Wednesday on Netflix with him today. We got through the first two episodes, and I'm thoroughly entertained! I absolutely love the costuming, the way it creates very distinct, whimsical aesthetics for characters like Marilyn Thornhill, Enid, and Wednesday herself! I'm looking forward to seeing more, though now I'm craving a reread of The School for Good and Evil trilogy (the second trilogy doesn't exist to me, sorry not sorry!), which has the same deliciously discomfiting aesthetic, but with relationships I find a lot more compelling! (Let's just say a lot of crying happens in the series, and I love it for that!)
Partner in Crime: See, I keep leaving really sad songs on repeat and then wondering why I've been so moody and anxious. A few days ago it was Lana Del Rey's "Ultraviolence," and now I'm back to Lucy Dacus's "Partner in Crime," particularly the Spotify Sessions acoustic version. The guitar sounds so close by, rubbing nicely against my ears when I listen with earbuds, and the chorus gets me every time, which is perfectly consistent with past Lucy Dacus favorites (FOREVER HALF MAST FOREVER HALF MAST), where her fluid shifts in and out of her delicate higher range keep me in awe. Listen for how she sounds on "city that never sleeps" and cry, folks. CRY.
Wanna Know: So Irris made their debut back in July, apparently, but I didn't hear this song until it came on shuffle a week ago. I'm so glad it did, because I'm absolutely obsessed! It reminds me of Gugudan's "Shotgun" in terms of structure, with the main attraction of both being a bubblegum-pop prechorus that drops into a deadpan chorus, but I think "Wanna Know" really leaves its mark through the performances. I'm glad they put the rap in the bridge--it amplifies the energy so well, just like LE's bridge rap in "Up & Down"--and I find their vocals very satisfying and memorable! That rap is absolutely captivating, though--I'll be keeping a lookout for Liv in the future :)
things that make brain buzz
I'm not actively working on any big writing projects (outside of academic papers for school, that is!), but I have been reading and annotating an old favorite, the Lockwood and Co. series, which I'm really excited to do some writing about! I have so much to say about this bizarre, fantastic series and the impact it's had on me, to the point where I get pretty overwhelmed just thinking about it. I really struggle with long-term writing projects, ones where I want to cover a lot of content and a lot of ideas, so this is one avenue through which I'm hoping to practice formulating more expansive projects--a big step towards creating the kind of content I dream of!
I've also been collecting material for a more personal essay, one about my experiences with Alba Reche's music & winter. Her newest collection of music, honestamente triste, has reminded me of the many cold, isolating days her music has been my company throughout, and I've been feeling just sentimental enough to want to revisit them in writing.
Will I Do Anything Interesting Tomorrow?
There's a new Friendly Space Ninja video, so that's on my priority list for tomorrow! My focus issues with reading have unfortunately extended to YouTube listening, too, which is really sad because my little corner of YouTube brings me ridiculous amounts of joy and inspiration. I love referencing video essays in my writing for classes, and I've learned so much about the kind of writer I want to be from the YouTube creators I obsess over! I've still been saving videos in my to-watch list, though, so hopefully not too many will get lost in the shuffle during this phase!
Otherwise, I just need to take my flight home and find some good things to eat, because I've been missing out on meals / eating very lightly lately, and that's made things really tough for me :( I might go out for ramen, or make a quick Walmart run for sandwich wraps!
Quote of the Day!
OMG NO NOT HER COUSIN

Stargazing
It had been an incredibly long night, all members of Lockwood and Co wanting nothing more than to collapse in their beds and fall right to sleep. George and Lucy had done just that, bidding goodnight to their fellow agents and heading up the stairs. Y/n had been about to do the same when Lockwood dragged her by the hand through the house, out into the back garden.
"Anthony, what are you doing?!"
He turned his head to look back at her, smile bright and blinding despite the darkness. "Taking you on a date," he said, just as he pulled her to the floor, lying down next to her.
"A date? Ant, it's the middle of the night!"
"Yeah, and for once it's not a cloudy British night. Look." He pointed up at the night sky, and Y/n realised he was right. If she concentrated she could see the Milky Way. The sheer number of stars was overwhelming, and she didn't think she'd ever seen so many.
They laid there for a good hour or so, only going inside when Y/n started complaining about the chill (Anthony immediately moved the two of them inside and up to his room, saying he'd be a terrible boyfriend if he let his girlfriend freeze). They'd been talking about whatever came in to their heads, occasionally wondering about the constellations and trying (and failing) to name them. Once changed into pyjamas and snuggled in his bed (really Y/n needed to just move in with him, she was in his room so much), they continued looking at the few stars that they could see from the window, and when Y/n finally fell asleep, Anthony carefully crept to close the curtains, slipping back under the covers and drawing his girlfriend closer, falling asleep himself moments later.
~~~
Dancing in the Rain
It had been raining all day.
George had complained, since he'd been planning on going to the Archives, but at the sight of the torrential downpour he'd decided to forgo the walk and holed up in his room instead. Lucy hadn't minded so much; she was in the attic reading, enjoying some peace and quiet.
Anthony was in the library, trying to get paperwork done, but with his girlfriend sat in the same room as him he was struggling. He huffed for the millionth time, making Y/n look up.
"What? You keep huffing and puffing. Is something wrong with the papers?"
"No, nothing's wrong with the papers. Just... How am I meant to concentrate when the most beautiful girl in the world is sat so close to me?" He turned on his chair, smiling dopily at her.
Y/n snorted, looking at him over her book. "Charmer."
"Is it working?"
"It doesn't need to work, Ant, we're already dating."
"I've got to make sure you know how much I love you though," he pouted, and Y/n giggled.
"You've also got to make sure your company is running properly?" His pout didn't leave his face, and he huffed (again) as he turned back to his work, running a hand through his hair in mild frustration. "Ant?"
"Yeah?" He looked over at her, immediately perking up at the sound of her voice.
"Wanna dance in the rain?"
"Right now?"
"Yeah. It's not as bad anymore, I think we'll be fine."
"Okay, yeah. Sure."
Y/n pulled him up from his seat, and he all but ran out the front door into the street, barely pausing to pull his shoes on. They were immediately soaked, Anthony's white shirt sticking to his body and Y/n's thin top doing the same within seconds. She was right, it wasn't as bad as it had been earlier, and they were laughing as Anthony held his hand out for her to take.
"May I have this dance, m'lady?" he said, his smile wide.
"You may," Y/n replied, placing her hand in his. He yanked her in, pulling her close to his chest, and she reached up to move some of his soaked hair out of his face. It wasn't much good, since she couldn't see that well from the raindrops that fell into her face, but she'd practically memorised the shape of him. He held her close, gently swaying as the rain fell all around them, the couple only moving when a car came around the corner and honked at them for being in the middle of the road.
When they came back inside a while later, George was just coming out of the kitchen, piece of cake in hand.
"No, nope, stay there, don't move! You two are dripping and I'm not letting you get that everywhere!" he rushed up the stairs, coming back a few minutes later with towels and changes of clothes for the two of them. "You can get changed there, then put your wet clothes in here. Let me know when you're done, so I can dry them and mop the floor." He handed over a plastic bag, one for each, then left, heading into the library.
"Oi, turn around, Ant. You might have seen most of it before but I'd like some privacy, please," Y/n lightly slapped his arm, nothing menacing in her tone as she turned her back on him. She'd barely finished pulling on the jumper (Anthony's jumper, really, but she wore it more than him at this point) than he'd wrapped his arms around her, pulling her back against his chest to hug her from behind.
"I love you, Y/n, you know that right?"
"I do. I love you too, Anthony."
~~~
The Picnic
"Anthony, where are we going? And why do you have a huge ass basket?"
"You'll see!" Y/n had been chatting with Lucy in their shared room (not that Y/n used it much now, she was in Lockwood's so much), when Anthony had burst through the door demanding that his girlfriend come with him. Y/n had laughed at his antics, taking the hand he offered and yelping when he all but ran down the stairs, girlfriend in tow. He'd been practically bouncing while he waited for her to put her shoes and coat on, and his excitement had only grown the closer they got to their destination. All of a sudden he stopped, making Y/n crash in to the back of him.
"Ant?"
"Close your eyes."
"What?"
"Just... just close your eyes, trust me. Don't open them until I say, okay?"
"Okay..." Y/n shut her eyes, squeezing them so tightly closed she could see patterns. She heard the rustling of something plastic, followed by the sound of him moving around and getting other items out of the basket, and after what felt like forever he finally said "Open!"
She did so, gasping slightly at the sight of the picnic blanket and various food items laid out. "Wait, you did all this?"
"Yep! Well, not all, George did the cooking, and Lucy helped me carry all the stuff back from Arif's without you noticing, but the rest was all me." He looked nervous, something Y/n hadn't seen her boyfriend be for a while, and she realised that he was waiting for her approval. He was scratching the back of his neck, slight blush covering his cheeks.
"I love it, Anthony. Really, I think this is amazing," she smiled at him, and immediately he relaxed, his own grin forming on his face. Y/n moved over to where he stood, planting a soft kiss on his lips. "And I love you."
"I love you too," he whispered, kissing her again.
~~~
The Aquarium
"Two day tickets please, we should get a discount too?"
"You agents?"
"Yes, Lockwood and Co." Anthony handed over his licence card to the woman behind the desk, and she handed it back with a nod of approval.
"Here you go, that'll be ten pounds altogether then please."
Anthony handed over the notes, then accepted the two tickets with a smile. "Thank you!"
Y/n grabbed his free hand, taking her own ticket and pocketing it. They made their way into the aquarium, stopping to read every sign and press their faces to every glass, and Anthony was sure that he was the luckiest guy in the world to have Y/n as his girlfriend. He told her as much when they stopped for something to eat in the aquarium cafe, and she'd laughed and gone pink.
"Well then I'm the luckiest girl to have you, Ant."
They'd left the table not long after, disposing of napkins and empty sandwich packets, and when Y/n squealed in delight and grabbed Anthony by the arm, he knew that the tunnel was just around the corner. Y/n was always going on about the tunnel where the fish swam right overhead, surrounding you with water that was held back by thick glass smeared with little children's fingerprints. She spent the next few minutes pointing out various creatures, and Anthony nodded along, listening intently to her descriptions of each one, from the largest shark right down to the smallest fish, a huge smile on his face at her awe.
"Ant, look!" She smushed her face against the glass, jabbing a finger at the ray that had started coming their way. When, a few minutes later, a second ray did the same, Y/n looked on in as much wonder as she had the first time, and Anthony found himself smiling softly at his girlfriend's apparently limitless fascination with the animals.
They sat in the tunnel for ages (they did have a day ticket, after all), chatting quietly about anything that came to mind, Y/n interrupting every now and then to excitedly list off facts about the fish.
When they finally left a while later, going around the rest of the aquarium, hand in hand, Anthony knew then that he never wanted to be with anyone else. She was still smiling at everything she saw, laughing at the pufferfish and marvelling at the lion fish, and her joy was infectious. A few times she stopped to talk to some small kids, exaggerating her movements and discussing the animals so seriously with them that anyone would think she was talking about the threats of the Problem, not seahorses. She was so good with the kids, and not for the first time Anthony caught himself thinking about their future together.
It was nearly dark when they left, having been kicked out because it would soon be curfew, and Y/n was pulling him along the pavement on their way home, still talking excitedly about her favourite parts of the day.
Yes, Anthony thought as he unlocked the front door and ushered Y/n inside. Yes, this is my future.
hello my lovely!! i almost forgot to request a blurb from your advent calendar! i'd love it if you could write something fluffy and angst for george x fem!reader (she/her pronouns), with the prompts "You're jealous aren't you?" "I'm not jealous.", and "Friends don't look at each other the way you two do."
thank you again lisa!! you are an absolute diamond <33
ALLIE!!!! first of all, thank you for sending me the perfect prompts I love me some jealousy <3333
Secondly, I know I said I'd post these on the 24th, but I honestly just majorly underestimated 1) how busy I would be and 2) how absolutely unable I am to write something short
so I now have a 1.7k words blurb for you here (is that still a blurb? who knows lol), I hope you enjoy!!!
masterlist
Lucy shoved the entrance door closed with her elbow, both hands occupied with heavy bags containing a week's worth of groceries. The thin straps were cutting rather painfully into her fingers, and she didn’t bother removing her boots before walking into the kitchen. She was surprised to see George sitting on one of the chairs, one of his comics open in front of him on the table. But instead of reading, he was staring off into the distance. His grim expression could have probably pulverised a ghost on the spot.
“Why are you sitting over here?” Lucy asked as she set down the bags on the counter. When she had left, he had been in the living room with Lockwood and Y/N. George just made an indescribable noise and picked up his comic, a clear sign that he didn’t want to talk. Lucy shrugged and turned her attention back to the bags full of groceries. When she was done putting everything away, George hadn’t moved at all, his eyes still trained on the pages in front of him, though it was obvious that he wasn’t reading. She knew there was no use in trying to talk to him, so she made her way over to the living room.
When she pushed open the door, she immediately knew why George had fled the scene. Lockwood and Y/N sat on the couch, Lockwood holding open one of the many gossip magazines that were strewn all over the library and living room. Y/N was peering over his shoulder as they read an article together, giggling at something that Lockwood had pointed out on the page. Lucy bit back a smile. No wonder George was in such a sour mood.
“Lucy! You’re back!” LISA turned away from the magazine and Lockwood, smiling at her. “Have you seen George?” Lucy pointed back over her shoulder. “He’s sitting in the kitchen. He’s not in a very good mood though, I’m afraid.” LISA’s face fell. “Why?” Lucy shrugged. “No idea. Why don’t you go and ask him?” The girl immediately jumped up and pushed past her.
Lucy padded over to the couch and flopped down next to Lockwood. “You know you’re driving George crazy with that, right?” Lockwood feigned innocence. “With what?” Lucy gestured wildly. “This whole spiel. ‘Y/N, do you wanna read with me?’” She did a very exaggerated Lockwood imitation. “I do not sound like that”, Lockwood said indignantly. But he couldn’t hold back his smile very long. “It’s working though, isn’t it?” “If by working you mean George being in a horrible mood, then yes.” Lockwood shrugged, opening the magazine back up. “He could have her next to him. All he has to do is say something.”
It didn’t take long for Y/N to return. She didn’t come back in though and remained in the doorway. “I’m going to sleep”, she said, giving them a short little wave. “Did you talk to George?”, Lucy asked, surprised to see her again so quickly. She had expected her friend to stay in the kitchen and talk with George for the next few hours, as the two of them so often did. Y/N suddenly looked like a kicked puppy. “He didn’t want to talk to me”, she said quietly. “Made that very clear.” Lucy looked over to Lockwood, who grimaced. “Alright, I’ll join you soon”, Lucy replied. Y/N gave her a short nod and left.
Lucy waited for the sound of her footsteps on the stairs before she turned to Lockwood. “You took it too far”, she said quietly. Lockwood dropped his magazine, raising his hands defensively. “I didn’t do anything. It’s not like we were making out or anything.” Lucy rolled her eyes and got up. “Where are you going?” “Damage Control”, she said curtly.
In the kitchen, George was still sitting in the same spot. Lucy pulled out a chair and sat down. “What did you say to her?” George seemed slightly surprised at her direct question. “Nothing”, he finally said, looking down on his hands. “Well, Y/N looked like she was about to cry, so it was probably not ‘nothing’.” George winced at Lucy’s sharp tone. “I didn’t want to take away from her quality time with Lockwood.” The last part he practically spit out. Lucy leaned back, crossing her arms over her chest. “You’re jealous, aren’t you?” George looked at her incredulously. “I’m not jealous”, he said quickly. “What would I even be jealous of?”
“That it’s Lockwood who gets to be close to her and not you.”
Lucy watched with amusement as his cheeks reddened and he silently opened and closed his mouth, not finding the words to dispute her claims. It wasn’t often she got to see George like this - flustered and scrambling for words. “That’s not true”, he finally said weakly. “It is, and we both know it. I suggest you think about how you can make it up to her.” Lucy stood back up. Before she closed the door behind her, she turned around again. “Or else Lockwood might be the one to swoop in and comfort her.” She didn’t wait for George’s reaction and instead made her way up the stairs. She knew that last comment was unnecessary and cruel, but maybe that was just what George needed.
In their room in the attic, Y/N was sprawled out on their shared bed, staring at the ceiling. She did not move as Lucy sat down on the edge of the bed. “Are you okay?”, she asked after a moment of silence. Y/N let out a long drawn-out sigh. “I think he hates me”, she said quietly, but the hurt in her voice was loud and clear. Lucy grabbed her hand. It pained her to see her best friend like this. “He doesn’t. He could never.” Y/N turned her head to look at her, tears shimmering in her eyes. “He wouldn’t even speak to me, Lucy. I’m nothing to him.” Lucy squeezed her hand, silently cursing George. “Y/N, you are everything to him. I promise you.” The silence that followed hung heavy in the air. “I feel so stupid for thinking that one day we might be something more than friends.” Y/N paused, avoiding looking at Lucy. “Sometimes I’m not even sure if we are friends at all.”
Lucy had to hold back a scoff. It felt surreal sitting here and hearing Y/N talk like this when on the other side there was George who was so obviously, painfully head over heels for her. “Yeah, I’m not sure if friends is the right word for what you are”, she finally said. “What do you mean?” “Friends don’t look at each other the way you two do”, Lucy simply said. Y/N hid her face in one of the pillows. “You’ve said that so many times. I just can’t believe it”, she mumbled into the fabric. Just at that moment, a knock sounded at the door. “Come in!” Lucy called before Y/N could protest. The door creaked open and George hesitantly stepped into the room. “Well, time to find out”, Lucy said and got up. “That is your chance. Don’t fuck it up”, she said quietly as she walked past George, pushing him towards the bed and Y/N.
George had his hands buried in the pockets of his jeans and winced as the sound of Lucy closing the door echoed through the room. Not daring to look at Y/N he slowly made his way over to the bed. He wasn’t sure if sitting down would be overstepping a boundary, so he stood awkwardly, looking anywhere except at the girl in the bed in front of him. “You can sit down.” He hated how small her voice sounded but did what she said and sat down at the very edge of the mattress.
When the silence became unbearable, he finally spoke up. “I’m sorry. For earlier. I shouldn’t have ignored you like that.” He forced himself to look at her, and his chest tightened at the sadness in her eyes. “It’s okay”, she replied but he shook his head. “It’s not. It was absolutely uncalled for. You did nothing wrong, I was just… on edge.” A pause.
“Why?”
George’s throat felt dry, and he nervously clasped his hands together in his lap. “I – It’s hard to explain, I –“ The words died in his throat as he felt her warm hand coming to rest on his. He looked down and then at her, and suddenly he knew that he just had to say what he was feeling. The inevitable rejection be damned, he couldn’t keep it to himself any longer.
“I hate seeing you with Lockwood”, he blurted out. “I get so jealous.” Immediately, he wished he could take his words back. What was he thinking? But much to his surprise, Y/N didn’t pull her hand away. She also didn’t laugh at him. Instead, she sat up. “Jealous?”, she asked softly, and his stomach dropped with the way she looked at him. He hated when that happened – one look from her and he forgot every word he ever knew. “I –“ His voice gave out, his heart now beating out of his chest. This was going terribly. “Yes, George?” Y/N looked at him with big eyes, and it was then he noticed how much closer she had gotten to him. It wouldn’t take much to just reach out and -
Looking back at that moment, he didn’t know who it was that initiated the kiss, he just knew that from one second to the other, his lips were on hers. His mind went blank, and for a short while his entire world was only her, her soft lips, the little noise she made as his hand found the back of her head without even thinking about it. She pulled away from him slightly, and he had to stop himself from leaning forward to chase her lips for another kiss. “Wow”, he breathed out. She didn’t say anything, instead leaning forward to close the gap between them again.
5 shows
Rules: Pick 5 shows, then answer the following questions. Don't cheat. Tag 10 people
I was tagged by @salvatorestjohn! Thanks, this was a lot of fun!
My Shows:
1- Roswell New Mexico
2- The Vampire Diaries
3- New Girl
4- Justice League Unlimited
5- Moonlight (2007)
Questions:
1) Who is your favourite character in 2(the Vampire Diaries)?
This is difficult… a tie between Bonnie Bennet and Tyler Lockwood, they both deserved more content and better storylines
2) Who is your least favourite character in 1(Roswell New Mexico)?
Nora Truman hands down, I feel like she could have been written more consistently (and maybe held accountable for her actions) but Noah Bracken is a close tie… sorry if I’m being salty but just nah
3) What is your favourite episode of 4(Justice League Unlimited)?
“This Little Piggy” like come on, Wonder Woman gets turned into a pig and Batman has to serenade Circe to get her back? with Zatana doing a guest appearance!
4) What is your favourite season of 5(Moonlight)?
Welp, season one. The one and only, lol
5) Who is your favourite couple in 3(New Girl)?
Cece and Schmidt, they are in fact soulmates
6) Who is your favourite couple in 2(the Vampire Diaries)?
This is a hard one, cause there were a lot of good couples, but for healthy dynamics and how invested I was would be Tyler/Caroline cause they were too precious and had the exact right amount of doomed from the start angst
7) What is your favourite season of 1(Roswell New Mexico)?
Probably season one, I loved the unraveling of the ‘what happened to Rosa?’ the plot points being hit nearly every episode and everything about Echo of course
season two was great for character dynamics and three seems to soon to properly judge
8) What is your favourite episode of 5(Moonlight)?
“Sonata” it’s the final installation and shows Mick and Beth getting over themselves, but most importantly for young me, posed the question of how a vampire could be ‘cured’ and what that meant for the universe in general
9) What is your favourite episode of 2(the Vampire Diaries)?
4x08 “We’ll Always Have Bourbon Street” for no reason besides Damon&Stefan, Bonnie&Elena&Caroline bonding time, and Tyler straight up telling Elena she was in love with Damon and to screw the sirebond, cause Tyler&Elena would have been such a good friendship to explore more of
10) How long had you watched 1(Roswell New Mexico)?
I’ve been watching it since it started airing, actually saw the pilot episode live and fell into this unwittingly
11) How did you become interested in 3(New Girl)?
My sister made me watch a few episodes with her and it was the first actually funny sitcom I ever saw, so I ended up watching the entire thing
12) Who is your favourite actor in 4(Justice League Unlimited)?
So voice actors… idk, Mark Hamill did a wonderful job as always
13) Which do you prefer, 1, 2, or 5?
Roswell New Mexico hands down, it’s my current obsession and I think the characters are wonderful so idk…
14) Which show have you seen more episodes of, 1(Roswell New Mexico) or 3(New Girl)?
I’ve seen all existing episodes of both, but New Girl has more so it wins out here
15) If you could be anyone from 4(Justice League Unlimited), who would you be?
umm, toss up between Black Canary and the Question, but Vic does hold a special place in my heart so who knows
16) Would a crossover between 3(New Girl) and 4(Justice League Unlimited) work?
It would be too chaotic… like animated Jess??? or live action Batman??? it just… doesn’t
17) Pair two characters in 1(Roswell New Mexico) that would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple
okay, so I ship practically everyone in RNM, so unlikely is hard for me to wrap my head around… because they all seem likely. However, based off the universe and the history I’d have to say Michael/Liz just because of Max and all the context there, because they are great on paper, their personalities compliment each other nicely (even if they’d probably lock themselves into the grotto and die of starvation science-ing together)
18) Overall, which show has the better storyline, 3(New Girl) or 5(Moonlight)?
not to hate on New Girl but as a sitcom it introduces random elements randomly, looses characters all the time, and reset Coach every time he returned to the loft
so Moonlight wins (also because it got canceled before they wrote too much plot)
19) Which has the better theme music, 2(the Vampire Diaries) or 4(Justice League Unlimited)?
did TVD have theme music? so I guess JLU, but TVD’s soundtrack was like listening to my playlists 60% of the time
20) What is your favourite episode of 3(New Girl)?
Probably the very last one, it appealed to my character and possibility driven brain, with that flash-forward to them playing All-American with their kids, it was just too sweet
no pressure tags: @jule1122 @cygnetofthesea @spcecowboyyy and anyone who wants to do this consider yourself tagged!
