you turn your head towards the football player and translate the sentence. first, you’re a journalist, but in your group, you’re also the only who can fluently speak multiple languages. you’re not specialised in the sport field, however, knowing four languages brought you the opportunity to work in many other contexts.

noa is absolutely stunned by your fluency when speaking french, you’re almost as good as a native. he wonders how much effort you had to put into learning languages. japanese is pretty different from european languages, especially because of the alphabet and the sentences’ structure.

“merci à vous pour votre disponibilité” you thank him after finishing the interview. he loves how cute your japanese accents sounds.

noa is almost tempted to ask you if you’d like to ask a couple more questions, just to hear you speaking french again. however, a bunch of other journalists is coming towards him, so he wouldn’t have enough time to answer to everyone.

he can see your name and the newspaper you work for before you leave, though. he saves a mental note to look for you during the next interview or conference, and who knows, he might ask you what he hasn’t asked you today.

ITOSHI SAE

sae wasn’t expecting to find someone like you to interview him after his return to japan. he’s always been used to those old journalists who have been in the industry for like, what? a century or so? you are quite a surprise to him.

“welcome back, itoshi, so, how was your adventure in europe?” you ask him through your microphone, waiting for his answer. you’re not just pretty, your voice is also nice to hear.

while he’s answering with all the details about how the team acted towards him and such, sae looks at you, taking notes about his answer.

he swears he’s never seen you before. however, you might be one of the most famous journalists in japan, since he’s been abroad for a long time.

at the end of his conference, when everyone is leaving, he walks towards you and, when he’s sure that no one is listening, sae asks for your name.

“are you new in the field? i mean, it might have been because i’ve not been around, but your face seems new to me” he questions. you nod in response “i’ve been working as a journalist for a couple of months now. the newspaper i write for isn’t as big as many others, but i personally love my job”

“i’ve noticed it, you look much more professional than any other one in the room” you smile after hearing his compliment. oh god, your smile. sae is completely lost.

“would you like to get a coffee or something with me? we can chat a bit and i can tell you some exclusives to add on your article” he asks.

when you accept gladly, sae smiles. he’s totally fallen for you and he won’t give up so easily.

So uh, have you guys thought about how Noa feels about Isagi, like actually? How he saw the potential in him and tried to help him but doesn't really know how? How he was just thrust into this position of "Mentor" when he's used to being a player on the field.

Do you think he felt a pang in his chest when he turned around and saw Isagi there in the door way, so obviously nervous but eager to learn? Do you think he knows Isagi has watched him since he was a little boy, knows he expects him to have all the answers? Do you think he ran out to get Isagi when he passed out, looked in disgust at Kaiser, his protage when he didn't help his teammate?

But then he remembered that there was a time when Kaiser was just like Isagi towards him...all stary eyed, all ready to learn. He remembers the way Kaiser looked at him after scoring goal after goal on the field and realizing that none of it was due to his "guidance". He remembers the exact moment when Micheal decided to stop listening to his idol, and the way he rolls his eyes when Isagi shows that same naive nature. He knows that even Kunigami, a boy he's never seen in his life, DESPISES him because his ideology was forced onto him.

He never WANTED to be a mentor, he just wanted to play soccer and get out of the slums. But now he's cradling this broken and exausted boy in his arms who fell just because he listened to his advice a little too hard.

Noel Noa

-it's been a rough few weeks for you in a lot of aspects in life, and after your team loses a fairly important match, you just feel like you're not made for soccer anymore

-as always, Noa drives you home after the match. But he notices how you seem a bit off. He decides not to address it, though, as he prefers letting you approach him by yourself

-a few minutes into the car ride, you decide to tell him you feel like it's time to quit soccer. It's out of nowhere, so Noa is shocked and pulls the car to the side, so he can talk to you properly about it

-it makes you very emotional to talk about. You're in tears while you explain how things haven't been right in the recent weeks, how even soccer started feeling wrong, and how you've been thinking about looking into another career like modeling, since that's something you've done once or twice

-Noa is very worried about you. Not only because you're in tears, but also because he didn't know how rough the past few weeks have been for you

-he suggests you should take a break from soccer and maybe not play in the next match and even skip some practices. He really doesn't want you to quit because he sees the potential in you, but he also understands that if you'd keep pushing yourself to soccer right now, it would only make you more frustrated

-he also feels unsure about you picking up a modeling career. Sure, he'd definitely support you if you decided to go into that direction in your future, but at the same time he's heard a lot about bad parts of the modeling world and he doesn't want anyone to make you insecure about your appearance and body

Chris Prince

-lately, soccer just hasn't been fun anymore. You've been feeling as if you haven't done any progress in months at this point

-it makes you question yourself if you should continue pursuing soccer, or if you should get into another career

-Chris is currently out of the country, he's been traveling for soccer matches for weeks. That's one of the reasons why your fun with soccer has been decreasing as well

-it's late at night when you start questioning yourself once more, so you decide to call Chris to talk to him about it. He's very surprised because he believes you have been improving, and he tells you how much more you could improve if you continued

-but he would never push or force you into anything, so he also asks you what kind of other career choices you've got in mind. When you tell him one of your ideas is modeling, he gets almost as encouraging as he is with your soccer career. He even offers you to help you get more into it, so that's something you'll be thinking about for a few days

Lavinho

-over the past weeks, everything with your teammates started going downhill. For some reason, you don't get along with them anymore in the way you used to. Even when you're playing, it's not working properly anymore, which gets you very frustrated

-Lavinho wants to pick you up from practice, but he arrived a little too early, so he ends up watching you and your team at training. And he can immediately see how the energy between you and your teammates isn't the same as it used to be

-after practice, when he drives you home, he asks if anything happened between you and your teammates

-you tell him how you just don't seem to get along with them anymore, how some of yojr teammates have been harshly criticizing your skills in a non-constructive way, and how that made you insecure about playing soccer and that it made you think you should quit

-Lavinho gets very sad about this. It actually breaks his heart a little. He loves to watch you play and he's always felt like you're truly yourself when you're on the field. He encourages you to address the issue with your teammates to your coach, so any problems could be talked out

-you and Lavinho continue the conversation. He wants to know more about what careers you could imagine getting into instead of soccer

-when you mention seeing modeling as an option, he's a bit surprised, but not in a negative way. He just never thought that would be something you're interested in. Regardless, he'd be supportive if you ended up going with that career path

-he talks to you in a rather lighthearted way about how you're still young, how you still have time to decide, and how you can still change your plans if the one you end up going with the wrong path

we're assistants to the coaches in Neo Egoist League (we switch around which teams/coaches we help out)

And my father complex is triggered all day everyday while you go crazy in your ways and we just vibing

-you'd probably accidentally call one of them dad at some point

-I would go absolutely feral and woof woof bark bark for Chris and at first he'd be weirded out but I'm sure he'd like the positive attention!

-we'd probably bring them coffee or whatever beverage they like :3

-we'd totally be besties wirh karasu and zantetsu and barou and shidou and GAGAMARU and kurona and then the coaches would be like "GET BACK TO WORK/TRAINING"

-I would convince Chris that I need my muscles checked so hell touch me (wau wau)

-im sure they'd praise us for our hard work 💪

-we'd probably be asked by lavinho to join him in chasing his trainees while barking at them like rabid dogs (gets them to run faster!)

-noel noa would be in absolute shambles(/lh) if he found out we ran after lavinhos team whole barking at them like insane canines

-Chris would be the type of guy to like the idea and try it on his own team, so we'd end up running after them while barking at them like rabid dogs (great workout for our legs and vocal cords!)

-I would absolutely ask Chris if I could touch his ass or pecks /gen

-if either of us were to get hurt at some point, I think they'd all pick us up and carry us to wherever we need to be to get medical attention (even if it's just a papercut) and being carried by lavinho would be ab absolute experience because I feel like it would be the most conflicting feeling of terror and comfort

-I would absolutely use that chance to mhgghjjdj touch Chris (wau wau)

-I feel like Chris be the typa guy to put on that cringy music to "enthuse" his team about training (yk like some pe teachers)

-I feel like lavi would put on Super weird and expremely niche music, which would be surprisingly good but really really odd

-I feel like noa would put on classical music... REJOICE, LACRIMOSA STARTS PLAYING!

-noel noa would have some absolute bangers tho (classical music actually straight up insane bro fucking lacrimosa got me hooked)

-I would spill water on Chris so he has to very sadly 😔 take off his shirt 👚 🌝

-at the end of the training WED HAVE A UHMM WASSERSCJLACHT ODER WIE ES HEISST AND WE GET WATER GUNS AND SPRAY EACH OTHER WITH WATER MUHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA

another blue lock rant (act surprised) and i’m just gonna talk about pxg and bastard and how their match might go down, taking a page outta ego’s book, through personal bias and like 5% data from the manga

sooo manga spoilers for the neo egoist league arc

idk it feels like france is gonna be the final boss of the neo egoist arc, right ??? rin, shidou, loki, karasu, nanase, and zantetsu ???? it feel like they’re setting up foils such as rin vs isagi, shidou vs kunigami or kaiser or both fuck it, loki vs noa- if they decide to play, nanase vs ness, and zantetsu with like idk yukki or something if anything zantetsu’ll be moral support LMFAO i just wanna see zantetsu again fr idc if he’s on the bench 😭

anyways assuming karasu and nanase make the starting line up (we already know rin and shidou did) there could be some really interesting matchups when bastard finally plays against them. especially now that isagi has gone up many levels and kunigami only had a few moments to shine so far in the fc and msc matches and they have to prove wild card program did something right ? and kunigami could get his revenge on shidou for eliminating him in the first place. 

the way kaiser could serve as a rival for rin, shidou, OR loki to be honest LMFAOO he’s bastard’s strongest player and the player closest to sae in terms of skill level so rin could wanna duke it out w him ykwim but no doubt this match is gonna focus on him and isagi, it’s been between them since the second selection and it’s definitely not gonna stop cause of kaiser. and loki is an up and coming player at SEVENTEEN ?? he and kaiser could have an interesting matchup, if they sub him in. and shidou loooovess a strong player so he might wanna challenge kaiser and yk kaiser will throw some wild insults back at him LMAOO plus they’re both unpredictable and have pretty good physical strength i mean

yall see my vision for these two shits right

well if all else, kaiser could be locked down by karasu so he could show his improvement since u20 when he was holding defense together

nanase has always been a good support/passer so i could see him running into troubles with ness (assuming nanase even makes the starting line up and ness actually does shit) but i think ness actually WILL contribute this time considering he disappeared the second half of msc vs bm, he needs his own little moment or obstacle. but i also think unless loki TOUGHENED up nanase, he might be too passive for someone as sadistic as ness but i have faith in my fruity little guy

IF ANYTHING... i think nanase and hiori could be an interesting match up. hiori has been studdyinngg bastard, fc, and manshine since the start and there’s no way noa isn’t picking up on that. we need to see what hiori learned and how he improved or maybe they could save hiori’s growth for the italy game since he’s known for getting through tight spaces and italy is stacked on defense fr but we’re assuming france is the final boss and we’ve already played through italy

BUUUTT karasu and yukimiya were teammates before, so having them as rivals now could be interesting, like nanase and hiori. karasu could prove to understand yuki and he’d be another good obstacle for yuki to overcome. and yuki, now that he has his new gyro shot, he could be a harder player for karasu to defend against. 

i could definitely see karasu being all over the place, kinda like chigiri and otoya. also zantetsu, if he’s on the starting line up, can be like karasu’s support as we saw he’s able to attack and defend in the first selection. he would be able to cover the empty spaces that karasu might not be able to cover if he’s busy with kaiser or yukimiya

karasu could play a big role in locking bastard down and holding up defense, we know he can do it as we saw in u20. and maybe similarly to u20, karasu could be supported by nanase and zantetsu like how chigiri and niko were running around and manmarking and reo and hiori were subbed in and able to cover defense more

also it would be a good final match to conclude. everyone would be going against their foil, as mentioned earlier, and someone better than them. 

rin and isagi, it’s obvious what they’ve got going on.

kunigami and shidou need to settle their rivalry, seeing shidou again could trigger something in kunigami

whoever kaiser will matchup with, they’ll have to evolve a shit ton in order to make moves on him like isagi did. unless it’s rin. personally, i think having rin and kaiser AT LEAST MEET is a good way to reveal kaiser knows sae and crushed him in their game together which caused sae to switch positions

but counterpoint could be rin completely has detached himself from sae after u20 and was set on being THE best so it would be a little harder for kaiser to get a rise outta him by just mentioning sae. but idk maybe kaiser revealing he was the one who started the catalyst of rin’s biggest turning point of his life could trigger something, kinda like what happened with rin and leonardo luna

and you know kaiser’s gonna be a piece of shit about it too. rin could score the first goal and kaiser will say “oh well, would you look at that?! so that’s what sae itoshi’s little brother is capable of, hm?”

and he’s gonna pull another

trying to figure out kaiser’s role now that isagi locked him down is a little difficult. but what’s also difficult to figure out is HOW THE HELL JULIEN LOKI GOT RIN AND SHIDOU TO COOPERATE W EACH OTHER

as kind and polite loki looks, i think the obvious creative choice is for him to be an absolute monster. from what we’ve seen of him so far, he’s got a stern voice and he’s got quite a lot of say between the top five. judging by the way the top five DEGRADED bllk’s top player, they have to have respect for loki. 

but this aint about loki

if france is the last game, i have NO IDEA how kaiser and isagi’s relationship/rivalry could even begin to develop from the ending of msc vs bm LMAOO if italy comes after, i don’t really have any creative ideas other than they try to work together but fr just can’t. and idk maybe they have some magical chemical reaction in this game for the sake of crushing rin or shidou or both again fuck it but who knows

anyways that’s all i have im desperate to see pxg play but i will sit happily through the italy game if it makes france the final boss
