The cult is called The Society of Insight. It was created to worship one of the 'Ultimatum' (one of the rulers of the Intrepid that is said to be a god. There are three Ultimatums.)

Zoreen is the Ultimatum of Omniscience. The SOI worships her and whomever her next heir to the throne is (David)

The SOI also has 'colonies' where the members of the cult live.... theyre not very safe...

Most of the members of the SOI are a sub species of Bodross callen Gilvans! Noble is one of these!

Gilvans tend to have animalistic traits and go by kins. For example Noble is a Jackalope-Kin Gilvan. Meaning he has bunny ears, and andlers, along with a long tail with a ball of fluff at the end.

Gilvans have a couple different forms. One is human, Second is half human. In some cases, a Gilvan is able to transformed into the animal it is of kin with (if you are a Mouse-Kin you can transform into a mouse.)

Someone needs to do an analysis on the way the Kung Fu Panda movies use old-fashioned vs. modern language ("Panda we meet at last"/"Hey how's it going") and old-fashioned vs. modern settings (forbidden-city-esque palaces/modern-ish Chinese restaurant) to indicate class differences in their characters, and how those class differences create underlying tensions and misunderstandings.

this scene. this fucking scene. when i watched this the first time it really struck me how much 14 has grown. 10 wouldn’t have let that argument go. they would’ve kept pushing buttons until one of them stormed off. but 14 stops, cuts himself off mid-sentence and walks away to take a breath.

and then he apologizes even though he didn’t start the argument and he didn’t spill the coffee. and it was definitely donna’s fault but sometimes being best friends means you let things go and you lie a little because your friendship is more important than being right

one of the things that i think really makes twelve and bill's relationship is that there is no actual reason for bill to be there. like. twelve was just being weird and teaching at some school and decided that this one lesbian would be the perfect travel buddy.

actually on second thought. i think all of the new who companions who randomly got chosen have the best dynamics. like no hate but clara and amy were special because idk. but they stayed there for a while because they had something going on with them.

nine picked up rose from her job for funsies. and she wasnt special yet. martha went along and helped the doctor when he was investigating. i love donna so much but i dont think she really counts because she wasnt picked up off the streets (except for literally). i have no idea what was going on with nardole but hes great. and then yaz was also picked up off the streets (along with her friend and his grandpa).

anyways i love the dynamic between a hundreds of years old time travelling alien and some random human they accidentally found when getting into alien shenanigans on their favorite planet. and then the human decided that yeah they wanted a share of those shenanigans too.
