Hiiii I've been having awful brainrot about John Doe Noel lately and I wanted to ask. How is he a John Doe? If that makes sense. Like nobody knew Penny because she was new and no family came yada yada... How would that work for him? I'm curious!

In the John Doe verse Noel’s mom was newly divorced and moved into Uranium with Noel and had him sign up for the choir (like the day before the fair) :33

So he went to that school for like a day but all of the transfer info from his previous school had yet to be processed so teeeechnically by the time the roller coaster accident happened he wasn’t considered a student and therefore could not be identified :33

I am keeping the fact that his mom had to like immediately go out of town for a few days/weeks and thus couldn’t come forward about how he was missing 💔💔

In this AU Penny was a student for a while but she was a little too strange for the student body so people avoided her like the plague,, and even in the choir no one really wanted to talk to her and she was stuck being backing vocals for Ocean 😔😔

Sorry if the explanation’s a little all over the place ive been having a bit of brain fog for the last few days 💀💀

constance is secretly an evil witch when she isn’t strapped to ocean’s side. i used to say she was an asexual lesbian but now she’s arospec and unlabeled and thought ocean’s “affection” was how love truly was supposed to make her feel

ricky keeps cat themed accessories and stickers on them at ALL TIMES. his crutches are covered in stickers, they wear cat ears nearly every other day, he draws kitties with pens that have little cat pen toppers on them

mischa never experienced honest affection after his mother died, so he was touch starved but would rather die than ask for a hug. him hugging noel after “talia” was the first time he willingly allowed himself to hug someone in years

penny is batshit insane. she’s obsessed with making scrapbooks of bugs and random flowers that she uses in ocean’s hair, she randomly quotes something random her stoner parents once said, she willingly makes non-toxic forms of penicillin and sells it on the black market

noel makes books. he writes years worth of poetry in leather bound journals and crafts books from his words. the only people he trusted to see them were ricky, connie, and mischa

ocean secretly hated constance growing up. she just made friends so easily and was so nice to everyone, whereas ocean had to force relationships out of people who she knew hated her
