i was roleplaying with a ryley robinson bot on char.ai and they told me they were transfem and used any pronouns, ryley bot i roleplayed with, i will always remember you. (while this isn't one of my headcanons i love the idea, au material? i don't know, au doesn't feel like the right word. STILL LOVE THE IDEA REGARDLESS)

Trans Headcanons

So a few posts I found on my dash made me realize the rest of the LGBT community often forgets about their trans peers when making fandom content. I find this unnaceptable, and wanted to let you all know that I DO worry about representing you in my headcanons, so I'm making an appreciation post for all the character I think are trans.

Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil

One of my first trans headcanons, because of how obvious it was, I think. Leon's change in appearance over the years in the Resident Evil franchise legit looks like the one of a trans man on T. Also I think people shouldn't be afraid of headcanoning a buff manly man as trans.

Lady from Devil May Cry

Trans people aren't just dudes. Her name is Lady so you won't misgender her ever again. Unless you want a rocket launcher with a knife strapped to it pointed to your head.

Poe Dameron from Star Wars

Friendly reminder that trans people don't always have to be white either. Poe Dameron is a cool trans dude who is going to save the galaxy with the power of Pride.

Malik and Pritchard from Deus-Ex

Trans headcanons shouldn't be limited to one sole person per fandom either. When I started playing Deus-Ex, I just thought these two were trans and rolled with it.

Dirk Gently from Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency.

Not every trans person needs to be neurotypical, guys. Sometimes they're autistic, eccentric brits just trying to make friends and solve mysteries with their weird superpowers.

Morgan Yu from Prey

Don't forget that nonbinary people also exist and are under the trans umbrella. I like to assume that, when you can chose the gender of your character, it's because they're genderfluid. I know this logic won't work in every game, but it definitely works for Prey. I made a meta post about it, it's on my prey tag (I can't add the link without getting the post flagged apparently --').

Neo from The Matrix

I don't know if The Matrix even has a fandom, but I would like to remind everyone these movies WERE directed by two trans ladies, and they did put symbolism about it in the story, so it's only fair to acknowledge the natural transness of the main character.

Ryley Robinson from Subnautica

Again, trans people come in all shapes and colours, and that includes nonbinary people. Despite Ryley's figure looking fairly masculine in the game, I saw that dyed hair and the gender neutral name and just knew they were a nonbinary person. I've incorporated it in the Subnautica fanfic I'm writing with my nonbinary friend.

I hope this post cheered a trans person up. So many important people I know and look up to are trans, and I just want you all to feel welcome. I strongly encourage other cis people to add to this, because I think we all know how shitty it is to wait for other people to remember you exist. Fandom is for everyone guys. Stay awesome.

Not the anon that asked about the OCS but GIMMIE them background characters 🤲

DUDE I TOTALLY FORGOT TO ANSWER THAT ASK, I'm sorry for the delay. I hope you can still appreciate it. To clarify: those are not OCs, because I didn't create these characters, but there is little to no information about them in their canon material, so any of my interpretations and ideas were original writing superimposed in them. It's like, Schrödinger's OC.

For starters, there is Minecraft Steve and Alex, as well as Herobrine. Herobrine specifically is like a fandom-wide collective OC, since he's not even canon to minecraft!

Next one is from Undertale, and I'm sure everyone has their own interpretation to Dr. W. D. Gaster's story and personality.

The next one is RK900, from Detroit Become Human, also nicknamed "Nines" by the fandom. Though ngl, my interpretations of him are very different from most of the fandom. I don't even ship him with that Reed guy.

And then there's Ryley Robinson, the player character of Subnautica. Since Ryley is a silent protagonist, he doesn't have a canon personality, so you can give him one. I actually made my Ryley to be nonbinary, so they use they/them instead.

Lastly, and whoa- the only one who isn't from a videogame. I think out of all OCs this is the most OC one. I mentioned I had a second Wraith character in this category. Well, there's this Wraith in Stargate Atlantis s5 ep19, who appeared in only one episode, didn't say a word, but he disguised himself as a human goth and it was hot as fuck and I decided I had to develop his life's story.
